'Big Brother 7: All Stars' - Quick Live Feeds Update - Wednesday Morning 8/16

Just a quick update as not too much is going on in the house so far, but a few rather important things have happened:
  • Now it turns out that the houseguests were only speculating about votes being cast today. They now think they'll be cast live again tomorrow. Dang, if they are guessing, they should tell us feed-watchers it's a guess!
  • George told Danielle and Mike (separately) that he will be voting for Erika to stay.
  • James hinted that he'll also vote for Marcellas to go despite all his talk at... er, to... Janelle last night.
  • George asked Mike Boogie what it would take to join Chill Town.
  • They're already fussing about hunger. It's their only Slop Day this week. @@

OMG! What *exactly* do you think it will take for Janelle to be on to James? If she sticks to her guns and votes to evict Erica and James votes to evict Marcellas, do you think she will FINALLY see what's going on? Wasn't she a LOT smarter last season? Is it really this all encompassing crush on Will that is destroying her senses???

Jani is done. Unless a miracle happens she will be voted out next week.

Jani i gone tomorrow. You don't think Boogie will remove Erica and replace her with Janell. She won't know what hit her!

Well, it seems CBS has had about enough of this. It's been told that CBS is cutting BB short and moving the finale up a week to Tuesday 9/12.

Anonymous said...

Wow, CBS is cutting BB a week short. Of course, the Fall Season usually starts mid to late September too. So that makes sense. I am guessing in order for this all to happen, there will need to be some double evictions before week. Because even after tomorrow, there are still 8 HGs left.

The ratings are down this year for BB. Julie Chen something in TV Guide about being surprised when taking surveys that Viewers prefer getting to know New Guests rather than All Stars.
I do wonder if people are losing interest in Big Brother or there are just too many other shows on competiting with Big Brother.

The Reality show with the best numbers this summer is America's Got Talent and You Think you Can Dance also is doing well.....I think the talent reality shows tend to do better these days.

Think American Idol cleans up and no one come close to competiting with that show. CBS may need to get a darn good talent competition reality show to compete..of course, Amazing Race wins the Emmy year after year for reality show but does not have the ratings of the talent shows.

hi jackieeeeeeeeeeeeee
i'm happy if bb is gonna cut it short cause will especially, puts the show down, the producers down. it dont make good tv to have past guest or an all star cast, they have no respect. they have set up alliance already pre show, when it was fun to see the people try for alliances. that is why it is boring this year, other than the characters of the people thats there.

Anonymous said...

Where did anyone see that CBS is going to cur season short?

Anonymous said...

It has been stated by hamsterwatch today that BB7 was co-produced by Will, and Boogie was the star of the show. And yes there will be double evictions coming. Wonder how much that cost CBS?

Anonymous said...

back to previous posts in regards to mike putting Janelle up. If he doesn't have to use it this week, I guarantee he will save it for when he needs it to save himself.

Anonymous said...

I actually thought it was fun watching the all stars BECAUSE I did already know them all! Or, maybe it was just because I wanted one more chance to see Kaysar :)

Anonymous said...

check out hamsterwatch.com today - it gives the scoop. Will was a co-producer of the show and Mike boogie was the star. That probably cost CBS a ton of money, and it's quickly becoming a flop! No more All-stars please. I like the show but they should go back to the original format if there is going to be a BB8.

A few things...

Regarding the season finale change - it was changed a few weeks ago and seems more to do with the fall shows premieres than ratings. Ratings this season for BB have been good.

Anon @ 3:49 - That's something Will said and, as much as I love my HamsterWatch (it's a great site), they're rather down on the season and picked up on it. It's not true... they're playing up on a Will lie.

Anonymous said...

TO Jackie: It seems everyone and everywhere is lieing about BB7. Thanks for clearing this up for me and I do believe in you! Thanks for clarifing things. You are the best!!

Anonymous said...

I do have to say that as with all the reality shows (IMHO) there is a huge practice effect, meaning the first season or two are generally the best.

For future BBs I would love to see a little more age diversity in HGs and viewer vote outs, at least partially. POV has become sort of a joke with the "thrown" competitions. Maybe that should be granted on a more random basis (liek drawing straws or whatever).

Just my musingsfrom here in Beantown --

In regards to the CDT phrasing:

Boogie's answer: "You reap what you sow."
Janelle's answer: "You sow what you reap."

If that is the answer, then Boogie will be correct as Janelle's juxtoposition of the phrase leaves it illogical. Julie said it was a common (and hence, logical) phrase.

One cannot sow what he reaps. Sowing involves planting the seeds and reaping involves harvesting the crops. Any farmers that try to do it backwards will soon find themselves on the government cheese (which might or might not be worse than the BB slop).

Beantown,

I completely agree with you about the ages needing to be in all ranges and also, the veto thing, you are totally right about that. It would really put people on the spot. That would have been great for this season particulary.

Jackie S. said...

Regarding the Coup d'Etat answers - I said it before in comments, and I'll say it again...

If the "reap what you sow" is the right answer, I think that the show isn't going to nitpick semantics. The winner will be whoever came up with it first. I would think that would be Mike, but it's rather unclear what Janelle said, when she said it and if she actually turned her answer into the DR on a timely basis.

Anonymous said...

BB the show may never have done really well in the ratings, I don't know the numbers so can't say for sure, but I remember the first season really didn't do too well...the boards are what made it fun and seemed to be comprised only of their fan base. That first season I remember thinking that Julie Chen didn't watch..she often made comments to evictees that made it sound as if she didn't even know their name. But the show has stayed around. I'm glad. I think it has a place in the lineup, especially in the summertime. I also have always thought the worst part of the season was when the end dragged on with only 2 or 3 hgs. Maybe that won't happen this year. Thank you Jackie, Sue

Anonymous said...

Who is right?

Boogie office answer was "you reap what you sow"
Janelle is "you sow what you reap"

I don't understand why it can't be you sow what you reap" The clues in order were a Ewe "you, needle/thread (sow), grin reaper" rep. So you would think the answer is You sow what you rep"

Anonymous said...

Regarding the phrase "you reap what you sow"
but it's not meant to be literal
it's more like "for what you give, you shall also recieve"

Anonymous said...

But if yo go according to the clues than Janelle is correct and it would not matter what Boogie said since his answer is in the wrong order.

Anonymous said...

BB is my favorite reality show on . . .it is alot different this year but i still enjoy watching. unless the producers pull a big one, Janelle will be gone this week or next.
Don't you think Mike will use the CDT and put her on the block tomorrow? but the producers want Janelle to stay I think because of her popularity.

Jackie S. said...

Anon @ 4:38 - Karma, baby! What comes around, goes around! :-)

Anon @ 4:40 - As I said, I doubt BB will nitpick semantics on this one. I believe it will hinge on whoever got the gist of the saying in first. However, saying does have to do with reaping what you sow, not sowing what you reap. I know a lot of folks really want Janelle to win it, but I don't think the exact order of the words in the phrase is key - I think it's WHEN they went to the Diary Room. As far as I know, Mike got there first.

Anonymous said...

you can also sow what you reap, because we let the crops dry out and save the seeds in the freezer until spring and plant them for the new crop.

Regarding "anon's" interpretation of CDT phrase:

"for what you give, you shall also recieve"

I personally think of it more along the lines of "You get what you deserve"

Jackie S. said...

Anon @ 4:44 - If my understanding of the Coup d'Etat is right, it will come into play after the votes are revealed. IF Mike has it and the vote is to evict Marcellas (who he does want gone), I think he may save it to use for a better week. The winner has three weeks to use it.

Anonymous said...

Alabama, that may be true, but in that context, it really doesn't make sense in terms of it relating to BB....unless the point of it is that since they are returning all-stars, what they did in their previous season might come into play, which also makes sense in terms of the Boogie/Erika relationship...and James and the crumbling S6 alliance...and...time to stop...head starting to throb

Chris J

Anonymous said...

What do you mean it would not matter what the phrase is and BB would not be nip picking.

Heck yeah it would matter. I am a Janelle fan and I want her to get it.

If going by the clues it would be "you sow what you reap" there fore Janelle would win.

If that was true why did they not put the Grin Reaper as the second clue"

VERY interesting!

As much as I enjoy the show, a shortened season may not be a bad idea. I too am tired of the same old 20 somthings whinning all the time. Will he's a hoot, don't know if i'd trust him as a doctor, but he's good entertainment.

Anonymous said...

What does the saying "you reap what you sow" has to do with BB anyways either way you say it.

Jackie S. said...

Anon @ 5:05 - They never stated the clues had to go in order. I understand that you want Janelle to win, but if Mike got his answer in first and it covers the gist of the phrase they were seeking, I think we'll see that he wins it. Not that I think it matters, but the common phrase has reaping what you sow, not the other way around. I stand by what I said and I guess we'll have to see the show. I like Janelle better than I like Mike, but I can't help thinking whoever got in the basic phrase first will win.

Of course, maybe we're all off base and that's not even the answer to the clue! Maybe it's a spool of lies! ;-)

Jackie S. said...

Anon @ 5:10 - The phrase itself means that if you do good things, good things will happen for you. If you do bad things, bad things will happen for you. Kind of a karma and what comes around, goes around, kind of thing. It's actually pretty apt for the house as so many of the things they do come back to bite them in the butt (another meaning which could apply).

Anonymous said...

I agree with Jackie. The order of the clues shouldn't matter. If they are going in order of clues, they would have to bring the sheep back because "ewe" appears twice. I think Mike will win it because he got to the DR first. Heck, we may be completely wrong about the clue to begin with!

TAS

Anonymous said...

With all due respect to Alabama and others its not a semantics issue -- there is no "common phrase" that goes 'you sow what you reap' Th phrase is you reap what you sow -- so if someone guessed you sow what you reap I would say they are incorrect -- otherwise I really will believe the "fix is in"

Anonymous said...

thanks for doing such a bang-up job, Jackie! You rock!

I completely agree about CDT... that while the phrase "ewe reap what you sew" is the correct phrase in means of commonality and going along the lines of it's relevance to BB. I also agree that BB will go with whomever submitted the answer first, regardless of arrangement of words as long as the "jist' of the phrasing was correct, will be the one awarded the big power prize! (wow, did any of that make sense? LOL).

I personally am routing for Boogie to get it. Honestly, I think he not only got the phrase correct (Janelle's phrasing "you sow what you reap" isn't a common phrase)he also answered FIRST so that would make him the winner of the CDT. But who knows what will happen.

And honestly, regardless of supposed "popularity" of Janelle, if the house votes her out, too bad so sad for her. She should go like everyone else. And honestly, I don't think she's played a good game this time around. Sorry.

It was really sick to watch them throw the POV last night and James very lame performance of saying that is what Janelle wanted. As head of house it would be interesting - you guys threw the contest - both James and Will you are now up for eviction.
I like the various ages idea! Have a grandmotherly type come in -
Another idea - they tape all this stuff..... why not have clips that we can vote on and that clip is played for the houseguests......No way Marcellas or James could weasel out of the name calling and their tactics and what would their backup plan be?

A question - what if George wins Prom King and that gives him a step up on the HOH competition and then he could win HOH........

What would he do????
Ken

i think that Will is great.... sneaky..... soon the doom - will have to go after each other.

Will should go after James and or Dani. There are still others to help sift the blame

Anonymous said...

Who the heck would George put up? Fun to think about in a random, never gonna happen kinda way ;)

Anonymous said...

I kind of like that "the viewers" have no say in what goes on in that house. Part of the "game" is trying to figure out your opponents. Where would the strategy be if the viewers chose the ones to be nominated/evited? The point is for them to outwit their opponents, if that means they weasel their way around and the others are blind to it, so-be-it. It's all about strategy and execution of plan. They all have a weakness somewhere..Janelle's just happens to be Will. LOL

Has anyone mentioned that a Project Runway episode title is/was You Reap What you Sew. I watch the series, but don't pay much attention to the titles. Episodes are replaying on Bravo though and I saw that title. It might be for last year. Still...how often do you hear that term? Sew What, I know, but a way to comment without mentioning "them"... Thanks Jackie, Sue

I guess I need some sort of Janelle 12 step program cuz she remains my favorite. But she and Howie are doomed if she didn't win the coup d'etat. If she by some miracle does have it I would truly love to see her take Erica and Marcellas off the block and put Danielle and James up. Now that she knows James is working so closely with her enemy those two on the block would be sweet! And it would put the LOD down by one man. I can dream can't I?

Marcellas is and has always been a vile fair-weather-only friend. He humilated and berated his best friend Amy in his season. Amy has stated recently that they are no longer friends and that she worries for anyone who gets close to him. And what the heck is up with the 24/7 robe and night shades?? He considers himself some sort of a fashionista but he dresses like a bum.

As much as I would love to see Howie and Janelle as final two I have to grudgingly admit that Will is the best BB player ever. He bobs, he weaves, he influences the players and the game itself, in a way no one else comes close to and he entertains us while he's doing it. I want to smack him for what he's doing to Janelle but he's like a car accident-I can't look away. A pox on him!

Didn't James also ask Boogie if he and Erika had a thing outside of the house and Boogie said it was all a lie? They just knew each other was all. I think they are just using each other is all.

Just a few thoughts after yesterdays show.
Oh how I wish George would get HOH, just to see what he would do.
I love Howie, but what has he done this season?
Jani is done, she deserves to go. She has thrown herself under the bus, by beliving Will and James.
Looks like Mike is using Erika, and she doesn't get it.
If there is an america's choice one of the options s/b to burn Marcellas robe...seriously that is so strange.
Ok I need to ramble a bit, I feel better!

Anonymous said...

A. from Kansas...i know when i watched the show last night, unless i saw something different from everyone else, that Mike and Will were both in the DR and basically said that they were going to break Erica's and Jani's hearts, by evicting them sooner or later. But it was said in a more "evilish" fashion. I don't buy that Mike has an relationship with Erica, other than what we see in the house..i can imagine, if neither are attached, people can start to look pretty good in the house...they may know eachother prior to BB, but I am not convinced that they were dating 6 months.

I am glad to hear that BB is cutting the season short, it gets boring when there are only three HG's left...

Peace,

I have to agree Janey is done. I do not want to see her go, but she is soooooo clueless this time around! I'm hoping she sees this week that she's been duped. The only way I see her surviving is by winning HOH and POVs. But, that can be stopped by whomever wins the Coup. I just wish she'd wisen up. I know she's hoping for loyalty, but in this game, it's impossible, especially if the rumors are true that Chilltown and Danielle made an alliance before the show.

I don't think it was cut short because of problems. They have too many people for the weeks they have left. There is going to be, probably, two double eliminations. It's the only way it'll get done in time.

Plus, I didn't think we knew for sure that Boogie had the Coup yet. So, we're only speculating, aren't we?

If you look up each word, sow and reap, you'll see all the meanings of the words. Sow, means to plant, scatter, disperse, or set in motion; reap is to harvest, clear a crop, to cut with a scyth, OR to obtain a win.

I am not a Boogie fan. All he talks about is money. Yes, it's important, but enough is enough. Not that I like Will tons better, but at least he has a sense of humor. Boogie would be nowhere without him. I do not trust Boogie. Will's bedside manner is so much better.

As for Janey, I think she believes in loyalty and takes what people say as honesty. She stays loyal. What she doesn't understand is this game has no honesty at all, but she's believing people have integrity. It just doesn't happen in this type of game. The people who win, are those who use others to do their dirty work and come across as the good guy. She's being played and it makes me so mad she's not looking between the lines. She's going to find out too late.

Question for Jackie, please.
Just read on the spoiler board that Boogie and Erika's relationship prior to the game was revealed and the others went ballistic. Sounded like now they (other than CT) want to evict Erika. What's your info on this?
Amazing how the tide keeps changing. ;)
Thanks!

I have been wondering all along why CT decided to reveal the Erica connection this week. They weren't forced into it, like if someone saw them, as far as I know. Wasn't the hot tube scene with Woogie & Erica the first "official" mention by one of them? Why then? If I didn't know better I would think Will made a move out of over confidence. I am sure it won't really make a difference as Woogie always seems to land on their feet. In fact, it will probably end up helping them. It is just that Will always does things for a reason and his game playing skills are much better than mine. He wouldn't want Erica to leave so she could do her work in the Sequester House, would he? Sue

Sue -- I hadn't thought about the having a mole in the sequester house angle. What a great idea! I could totally see them doing that. If they send Marcellas this week and he spends a week alone, and Erica goes next week, he'll be so happy to see another person that Erica can mold him. It's something to think about...

In theory voting a HG off in order to persuade other HG on who to vote for is a great idea but most likely the public is going to have a say on who wins this perticular game.

I enjoy All-stars and think THAT makes it even better. You see the best of the best. There are so many suballiances, which you never see in regular shows. These guys are good

Question. Did ALL the HG's put in a guess now? I don't remember hearing that Will said one!?!?!

As for veto competitions being a waste, I disagree. It is interesting that the HG's learned a way of getting themselves in trouble. I think THIS week's Veto was harder to throw in some ways because you had to make a guess and couldnt throw it until you got CHOSEN to do the competition.

Personally, I think people should be able to be HOH more than one week in a row because NOW nobody will want it at certain times because they will want to WAIT for certain key times

I sure hope Mike uses it wisely and not waste it to get OTHERS saved (unless it is Will, of course).

I wish BB2 was on DVD. I would LOVE to see how Will played the first time around. He is such a good liar, it is scary. I bet he is FABULOUS at convincing insecure patients to get lipo, chemical peels, botox, etc..He must make a fortune!

Somebody mentioned they wouldn't trust his medical skills, but I think hearing him talk on the feeds makes me think he might be pretty good. He seemed to know his stuff. He also seems to REALLY care about his job, as well.

Agree on these comments --want more age diversity too, some actually challenging competitions (always a weak point , as II have watched every season-- physically or intellectually -- and that it does not drag on at the end for weeks with few houseguests, especially floaters or alison and Jun types. HOPE BB producers are LISTENING!!!!!!

Thanks Jackie !!!!
