'The Amazing Race 10' - East Coast Update - 11/26 - Pit Stop

Arriving at the Pit Stop:
  1. Tyler and James - Due to a good luck charm picked up earlier in the leg, each won a Sprint Treo
  2. Lyn and Karlyn - Despite being Yielded by the Blondes
  3. Rob and Kimberly
  4. Dustin and Kandice

It was a non-Philimination leg, so all teams are still in the race with the Blondes marked for elimination. A full recap/review will be posted late this evening.

AR started on time here also!

So tired of the boys coming in 1st. BQ's got real lucky. Rob and Kimberly sure have bad luck as far as cars go! Bama Mom's will never win the final foot race.

So-So episode in my mind.

Wow, that was a crazy show! I figured the blondes would not be eliminated... I don't know how it works, if it's predetermined or the producers decide on the spot... Jackie -- do you know how close to real time this is shot in? I imagine they have so many camera crews it would be a big job to edit down footage then compose each ep, but, having not watched prior seasons it seems that Phil's voiceover says possible elimination when a very popular team looks like they'll come in last -- they did it with David and Mary as well as tonight.

Anyway, we were just saying that the team that seems to have grown most is Rob and Kimberly and within seconds they showed previews for next week of Kim screaming and walking off the task! lol

Yep, delee, those boys both ran back (did they BOTH have to, because one of them looked pretty pooped as they were trying to overtake the bamas en route back to Phil) and the bamas could not pull it out to keep thier little lead to the mat. But maybe they were just glad to be there and not last so didn't try much.

Interesting that they mentioned it would be smarter for the yield to have gone to another team as the three others are all physically equal. Good point! The blonds slipped a little this time around.

Sydney - An online friend of mine used to supervise the challenges for TAR. The non-elims are predetermined when they set up the "course" for the race. Running the race takes about 30 days and it's all edited waaay before the show airs, so they don't really know who's popular and who's not. I figured this one would be a non-elim as there are just a few shows left and the finals are the top THREE teams, not the Final Four like in Survivor.

It's really tough when there's no real team to route for, therefore, no matter who gets where when, I'm aggravated through the whole show. First I wanted BAMA to lose but then when they got ahead, I wanted the Barbies to go (I can't stand the one with the sneer she puts on her face...for a beauty queen it makes her quite ugly). I feared it was a non-elimination pit stop. Too bad...

Glad to hear David and Mary are in the All Stars TAR. Hope they do well.

HA! Is it root or route ???

meb - It's root, but I've been using "cheer on" instead ever since a Brit told me what "root" means slangwise there. ;-)

Thanks Jackie... I won't ask.. I'll just use my imagination.

@@ root I can guess TOO!

I agree Rob and Kimberly have come a long way in their demeanor and maybe I will "root"/"cheer" for them. Unless the Bama Moms get a huge lead for the final race to the finish line, they are too slow on foot.

Since they are now filming "All Stars", maybe now we can figure out how long it is from film to air time. Anyone know when this is to air?

A thought.....maybe R and K should choose the ugliest car...maybe it will run! IMAO

Delee... that is good! I can't believe how many cars Rob and Kim have gotten that have broken down. It's almost not fair...but then ask me if I care.
