Now, this wasn't around when I posted my TV Newsy Bits earlier today.
According to several sources, Rosie O'Donnell will be leaving The View in mid-June. Her run on the show has been short, yet very controversial to the point of explosive at times. It seems that she was unable to agree on a contract.
Sources quote her as saying, "My needs for the future just didn't dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me."
Rumors are abounding that she may be seeking a solo talk show gig.

Trump is already going public saying Rosie has been fired and that he's proud to say he had something to do with it. He also said Barbara's rep is damaged and the only thing that might save the show is if he were to co-host, but "he won't do it". From everything I've read on AOL and Google, none of the above is factual. What planet does this hypocritical ego-maniac live on? ABC wanted a 3 year contract, Rosie wanted 1 year. ABC wanted 3 years to hold her salary down over the three year period. Neither party seems upset by the outcome. I'm sure Rosie has other plans for the future. I don't agree with everything she says, but with some things I think she's right on. Trump, on the other hand is a JERK!!!! America please keep this man off the air waves somehow. I'm so sick of the garbage he spews.
I'm sick of Trump too and wish he'd go back to putting up hotels and whatever and stay off of TV.But I have to say I am not sorry to see Rosie going! I tuned in at first to see if she would be any different from her other show and right away she took up her hardline stance against the President and everything the White House is doing. Now I am sorely disappointed in the way this war is going,but I am not going to watch anything where somebody else tries to shove their politics down my throat. That's why I quit watching the view when ICK Jones was on there and the election was going on. So on comes Rosie and it all starts again. I hate the way she talks over everybody else and spews her conspiracy theories all over the place. And I hate the fact that SHE can dis anybody,but if they call her on it,she gets her back up and calls them all sorts of things. The thing that really tore it for me was when she started taking that jerk Baldwin's side in his treatment of his daughter,saying it was all his ex-wife's fault. He is an ass and I still wonder why he's still in this country when he promised to leave if Bush won. So bye-bye Rosie,don't let the door hit you on the way out! But I still can't stand Trump and that rant of hers against him was enjoyable(her word)!!
So sad to see her leave... She is the only reason why I have tuned into the show. Though some of her views and attacks are extreme, I do find myself agreeing w/ her and Joy more than anyone else. If she was smart she'd take Joy and start their own lil chat fest for the viewers. Rosie is a real person who came from a rough upbringing and worked her way to the top... She knows what it is to be a real person and therefore she is passionate about things.
If they need to get rid of somebody it should be Elizabeth. Every time that girl opens her mouth, Im shocked at the ignorance she has towards what the world is really about.
