'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Report - Into Monday Morning 7/30

Uh-oh. Kail is getting buff!

Here's what's happened since I last updated ... or the important things, anyway!

  • Dick messed with the kitchen faucet again and Daniele was the victim once again.
  • Amber thinks Daniele is rude to her.
  • They got beer and played beer pong.
  • Daniele asked Amber why she's mad at her. Amber denied that she is. (Argh... make Amber go away!)
  • Daniele, not convinced by Amber's denial, asked Eric what she had been saying about her.
  • They were talking about whether there's a twist in the game to come. Jessica said there was and "it's you, Eric!" Eric just said, "Yep." They think he's joking.
  • Eric, Jessica and Dick talked about Amber's emotional instability. They also discussed Dustin needing to go home before long.
  • America must have voted to have Eric say, "I'd do that for a dollar!" He's started saying it and told Dick that he was going to keep saying it because he's tired of Amber's repeated expressions.
  • Dustin practiced what he'll say at the POV ceremony when he puts Nick on the block.

Food for thought...Eric mentioned that he has not gotten to play for the POV...as AP is his name even in the bag??? Only time will tell...or does BB not have it in there???

NEWS FLASH !!!!

DR 90210 begins new season TONIGHT!!! 10 pm E on E. A new plastic surgeon will begin his Beverly Hills career. Who needs to be told WHO??? Yes Dr Will Kirby!!!

"I'd do that for a dollar!" is the only phrase that made any sense, I'm glad *America* chose that one.

Evict Kail? I'd do that for a dollar. Even for fifty cents.

btw, I may be in the minority here, but I am SO OVER E.D. I completely side with his daughter in their discussions. He may try to come off as the loving dad, but his bullying, condescending behavior towards other women in the house shows his true colors. I believe Daniele's version that he's said horrible things to her in the past. That kind of pain she expresses doesn't come out of nowhere.

And his middle-of-the-night pranks are juvenile. And his farting!!! Disgusting-- close the door at least! Grow Up!

I don't get why so many readers here are so into him.

Anonymous said...

albglinka - I think I'm so into him because I wish I could be like him in certain situations. I love how he's so confrontational and speaks his mind. I don't think I could stand to be friends with him in real life, but I do admire his "in your face" attitude. I guess I overlook the bad stuff because I don't have to deal with him. He's also very sexy in a 80's bad boy kinda way. Although, I don't think I'd do that for a dollar! I might cry!

Albglinka,
I can't speak for all the other ED fans but he is a rock N roll bad boy.
For further info see Heather Locklear, Vallerie Bertinelli, Pamela Anderson, Sharon Osborn,etc...
In real life we might not think he was "all that" but compared to the other guys on the show at least he is entertaiing even when he is obnoxious.
Love your new avatar. It is quite dashing!

Anonymous said...

Hell,Albglinka,I'd evict Kail for FREE.........LOL!!

I have said that I would never be friends in the real world with ED,but admire his game play. He HAS studied this game and has decided to go with the confrontational way of doing things. It would scare the heck out of me and I'd get rid of him if it were me,but he may just make it to the end. Would people vote for him....maybe not.But I do believe, right now,he is the strongest player, and the biggest threat,in the house right now.

I must have really missed something. When did things change from backdooring Zach to backdooring Nick? Not that I care which one goes, but I still think Kail needs to go first.

Did anyone else love Dick's "discussion" with Amber about pet vs. child? I'm in Dick's camp on that one. I always think its pretty silly when people treat their dogs like their children.

Does anyone think if Kail and Zach were voted out, that we would see Nick play any different? Mike is already gone, which I think was a mistake.

It would be nice if they voted out Amber real soon.

Eric's phrase is going to get on people's nerves. It might cause him to be not liked by the other house guest.

I am waiting for the time when Evil is completing his project at the sink and gets caught by Daniele...that should be great seeing him explain that to his daughter! Maybe then they will ask Evil if he was the one that put the mustard on Jen's tank shirt. Eric would once again be off the hook, not to say Nick would not be blamed for something he did not do.

I am hoping that Kail leaves.I would love to see Amber on the block, along with Zach. Voting any of these people out would be no loss. Sorry to those who like Dustin, however there is another one that I would not mind leaving. The only thing about Dustin is he is not a threat , so in time he will hang himself, bouncing from week to week. Not that any of the others listed are a threat.

Overall, this bunch they picked to be in the house this season, must be the "all time rejects" from previous season try outs. I have no favorite this season that I would like to win in the end.

BB so far has been dull compared to other seasons.

Jackie, you do an awesome job keeping us informed, many thanks!

Patty - sometime over the weekend Eric joked that this season is filled with all of the past applicants who failed the psych test. I'm beginning to believe him!

For all you Bachelor/Bachelorette fans out there, did you hear that Ryan & Trista had a baby? Check it out!

I try to do other things when Dick and Daniele are talking about their issues. I feel a little too voyeuristic. CBS should not show that. While I know both D & D agreed to go on the show, understanding anything is fair game to show us, I just don't feel like hearing other families issues aired quite so publicly. Perhaps that is part of D & D's problem--that they apparently don't mind.

The thing w/ E.D. is that he suffers from verbal diarrhea, and really, really likes to argue and push people's buttons. I honestly do believe he means well but sometimes his confrontational urges get the best of him and he loses his head. I do like him a lot, though. I can completely identify with being unable to resist the urge to "zing" someone even when it's completely inappropriate and might actually rub people the wrong way.

CR said...

BTW, I was hoping for "SWEET CHICKEN!"

I happen to be an ED fan, too. I agree he sometimes is pushy and doesn't give Dani a chance to talk....but...usually she just sits there and buries her face in her hands or blankets. That has to be frustrating when you are trying to have a conv. with someone and that is the response you get. I also think Dick sees this as an opportunity to start mends fences and he gets panicky that if they leave the house without moving forward Dani will be lost to him forever(that's just my Mom point of view). He is confrontational and seems to bullying some of the women(not Jessica)but look at them??! They deserve it by their own behavior. Calling people out is obviously his gameplan. Time will tell how far it gets him. Do you think that's how he is in real life? Reality contestants always say "that's not who I am in real life....it's the game".
If Dick and Eric are using the new phrase I can see other HG start saying it in jest. It's the only option that might catch on.
On a side note--missed the show last night(forgot to set my VCR) but went and saw Hairspray.....GREAT MOVIE!!! It's a can't miss especially if you enjoy music and dancing.

AGE OF LOVE is finally wrapping up. I got hooked earlier this summer and it's soooooo dumb. Of course, I still tune in every week!!

Anonymous said...

Nana - I think the new phrase will catch on and nobody will get upset by it. Eric claims he's using it as a defense against Moaning Myrtle (aka Amber) and all of her sayings. Dick & Jessica are on board with the plan!

Lucy said...

I think Eric was smart to come up with the idea of using his catch phrase as a "defense against Moaning Myrtle."

Methinks there is more to Eric than a quirky eyebrow.

I have to say I'm with Amber's view on pets. I don't agree with ED on that at all.

Still like him, though, but a bit less than I did before.

But then, I've always much preferred animals to people!

The clips of Daniele and Dick that they showed last night (from her bed) was a full hour long conversation. ShoToo stayed with them the whole hour, never flipping to anyone else in the house. It was hard to watch, but like a train wreck, I couldn't stop watching. It took him that whole hour to get that half a hug. He asked for a hug earlier during that conversation and got no response.

Anonymous said...

I'm siding with the commenter who thinks Dick is a loser. His disrespect for women knows no bounds and I'm hard pressed at understanding why so many women think he's an admirable guy. Yuk. His "chat" with his daughter was another example of him acting like a child. Danielle is explaining to him how she feels and he interrupts her and goes, "and you haven't done that to me?" Um...earth to Dick, you're the ADULT here in case you've forgotten.

And let's discuss Dick's questioning of Jen's boobs. Again, UM...WTF? Jen is 23 years old. She's 3 years older than his DAUGHTER. Would he EVER think that is acceptable behavior towards his own daughter or an acceptable question to ask her? I doubt it. HATE HIM. He's so demeaning towards all of the women. HATE him. He's a real dick.

And Amber? OY. She'd have me jumping of a cliff with all her crap and crying. The stuff about loving her dog as much as her daughter was the last straw. She needs a reality check asap.

PlaidChick said...

Did anyone else think the show was a filler show-- editing to show us how "creepy" Zach is, Amber crying, Dustin crying, Daniele crying, Dick crying, Jen crying? I thought it was boring and they usually show more things in the DR and I was hoping to see more of the eviction ceremony.

The animal vs kid thing was just another tactic of Dick to rattle Amber. I still like Dick, because he's upfront, but that's also his game strategy. I love it because no one else has played the game like he does.

Sydney said...

I'm still confused at how it switched from Zach to Nick to be put up after POV...

Albglinka, I'm finding it very hard to hold on to my initial interest in ED as well. Though he technically revived his image after that talk wtih Daniele on last night's show, if we look closer we see that when she tries to speak up he shuts her up by turning it back to being about him.

Getting sick of his calling people out for everything, angrily, arrogantly. It was one thing to take that liberty when he was HOH and had a deserving Jen and Kail up on the block and told the whole house you've got a free pass, no worries. But now he's not (not to mention that the wrong person went home under his watch)... He's also been wrong in his recent accusations, and frankly, it's just TIRING to listen to. Yes, he has stiduied the game, and has been the most interesting in an initially dull group. Lately, he's leaning alot on Eric's perspective re: the game. I think his HOH entry asking Dr. Will if he's got competition (essentially) went a tad too far.

Besides that he's got this totally offensive side to him, I think he's also trying to make his small local celebrity have some legs. ED's thoughts: I'll fart and wave the air and talk trash about women while shedding many tears over Daniele, say I am who I am, and THAT will make me a star for REAL in LA come September. Unfortunately, he's right. LOL

Sydney said...

Dustin has been quite cocky this week, being HOH and having Joe be booted. I understand he is feeling vindicated after his long time of hearbreak over Joe plus the apparent fact that Joe managed to convince Dustin's friends to somehow side with him (Joe). He's feeling like the king, so the food comp costume wasn't too far off.

However, I see another train wreck coming for him... that Amber, his new BFF is about to DUMP him and is already laying that groundwork. That's gonna hurt. How can he not see how unstble she is? It would be pretty interesting to witness when Jameka realizes she is in a pickle to have Amber in an "alliance with her". Bonded by their talks abotu God or no, I think Jameka is smart enough to dump Amber before too long. Won't THAT be entertaining to watch! And what will Amber's reaction be people????

When do they start to be down to evicting people to go to sequester? If they are smart they'll get her out before then.

ED's conversations (confrontations actually) take a circular route. I don't get the feeling it is part of his game plan, but more that it is just the way he is and has been for a long while. No one can 'win' a convo with this type of technique because there is no one point to settle on to argue. Whichever way the answerer goes, Dick changes his tactic so that they are agreeing or disagreeing with the topic he just left while he is shouting at them to answer a different question. Example: the pet versus child love issue. As Amber said she loved her dog, Dick expertly changed the direction multiple times until he was almost chasing her around to 'answer the question' about choosing life or death between her child or pet. Amber is too slow to follow and was still hammering home that she loved her pet...which is a much different statement that I would kill my child to save my pet. Dick does this all the time. I still prefer him over Amber, but wish the others would either recognize his mode of debate or shut him down once in a while. Thank you Jackie, Sue

Can someone tell me what the letters "LNC" means? I'm sure it's the name of an alliance, but I didn't catch what it stands for.

thanks :)

Deanna said...

Im totally on ED's side on everything. Many times he has tried to talk to his daughter and she whines, cries and pouts like a little girl. Her true age shows with her awful behavior. We have also seen and read his HOH diary entry and know that he admits to not being the conventional father, but that he has always tried his best and has always loved his kids. Im a pretty average mom with a son about to turn 19 and he loves tattoos and piercings and would probably much rather have a parent like ED... The point is, we don't often get the parents we want, but that doesn't mean that we arent loved. Daniele needs to do some serious growing up! Like Orkmommy, I too wish I could be more like him. He is direct and confrontational, but he isn't mean or bullyish. It's just that most people don't like to be called on their own crap or to have someone so directly question them. As for the farting, he left the room and sprayed, thats more than the guys in my house do... Lol!

Also, Amber totally attacked him for his views on Dog vs. Child first. He was just talking and she became "surprisingly" emotional about it. For someone to say that their dogs life is just as important as their childs is hard for me to understand. I love my pets and they are like family, but my children come before even my husband...

It annoyed me on last nights episode when Kail thought the ED's plan to get her out didn't work... I wanted to scream...his plan was to make u think u were going and then get rid of your lap dog. That way you would be so rattled you couldn't compete in the challenge well. His HoH week went completely as planned... He is a smart one!

LNC - Late Night Crew

Deanna - Someone told Kail that the vote was for Mike to leave, not for Kail to stay. I've used this word a lot this season, but she's totally DELUSIONAL! They came right out and told her and she still thinks they want her around. What a retard!

i just read on jokersupdates that Eric told Jessica and Dustin that he was the one to put the mustard on Jen's shirt. Anyone have confirmation of this? Why would he do that?

Sydney said...

He could be fooling in thier eyes, and as he's a prankster, they well might not believe him. Otherwise, there must be some good reason. He has been smart the entire time, and not gotten caught or brought into suspicion for any of the things he's been directed to do by us... that's 3 things a week that could totally spoil his game if her were to have presented them wrong. That's just a guess.

Anonymous said...

I guess I'm in the minority...but ED drives me nuts......game play or not he's abusive....he was my favorite too...but he pounces on every female in the house or anyone he can bully for that matter..yuck...I don't care how funny he may be...bullying is never cool. Also I don't hate Zack, I think he's a big oaf but I don't get why everyone can be okay with ED's antics and then what's the problem with Zach again? Just my opinion folks...I know most will disagree.

I so want Amber to be gone! All she does is whine and complain. I like Jen for all her flaws. She gives nothing away.
The "other" houseguests complain about the "alliance " and want them gone but 4 against 7 does this not put the 7 in an alliance? How does this make them better than the 4? Plus Jen is not now nor has she ever been in an alliance with anyone. They are all too busy hating on her!
My favorite player is Jessica. I don't think she gets enough airtime. She is always upbeat and hardly ever is whiney unlike Danielle who is my 2nd person who should go.
Amber doesn't want Nick gone because she has a secret alliance with him,Danielle, and Jameka. Dick is entertaining but is it just me or does anybody else notice that he rarely if ever goes off on the men in the house? Yeh, him and Nick kinda sorta got into it once but nothing like his tirades on Kail, Jen, and Amber. Talk about an abusive personality! And his constant hocking of nasty lugies is beyond disgusting! Yeh, he speaks his mind but some things are better left unsaid.
America's choice is such a crock! It is CBS' way of controlling what goes on in the house! If it was truly our choice then we should be able to decide what it is we are voting on!

Deanna said...

IMO, I think Dick hasn't really "attacked" any of the men, because they basically have not put themselves out there and acted delusional or emotional, except for Nick. Jen, Kail and Amber have all shown some very peculiar behavior that is noticable enough for all of us to hate them, so why wouldn't he notice the same thing?? Those three annoy me the most, so Im pretty sure I'd want to do whatever I could in the house to annoy them. Plus, Dick's game is to get into peoples head and mess with them and what easier targets could you ask for than the "three basketeteers"... I don't think of it as an issue of him picking on the women, but him picking on the weak, delusional basket cases in the house. It is very "Dr. Will" to screw w/ peoples minds and emotions, and everyone loved him... So why can't Dick do the same? Maybe it's because his looks aren't so devishly handsome, but just devilish???

Deanna said...

Orkmommy... I agree, Kail is a retard that is way too delusional. The fact that she practically runs a whole town gives me the creeps. I hope I never pass through that town, who knows what you'll find... ((soundtrack from 'Deliverance' plays gently in the background)) :)

Amber is a physco & I get ill just seeing her. How did she get on TV? Did her kids send her just to get away from her for a few months? She's also a bartender, probably a drunk & going thru detox now & that's why she is so weird. The way she is I cannot see her having custody of any kids anyway.
Evil is a real hater. I can't stand the dad & daughter routine that BB shoves down our throat especially when they just linger on it like last nite (29th). He needs to leave her alone. You can't just turn on & off that attitude of his so I'm sure he is like that all the time. No wonder she wants to hide from him. She really needs to eat something, too. If the camera adds a few pounds, then she's really a bone, for sure! I really believe that Evil is a woman hater. I really do like when he mind games Jen & last nite going after Amber & her pet love thing. I'm surprised she didn't go out in a padded coat after all that. Did you people see Jen CRY over being nominated? I'm glad she is still in the game as she is the only one strong enough to trade jabs with Evil & thinks he is a real eye roll. She is VERY SMART! And she didn't really let him get to her when he was quizzing her about plastic surgery. Go Jen!
Enough for now.
Thanks again Jackie for a great site!

I think Dick is the most entertaining HG in the house and, like Orkmommy and Deanna, I love his "tell it like it is" attitude and also wish I could be more like that. I also think some of you give Daniele way too much credit. She has shown her immaturity many times and I totally believe Dick wants a better relationship with his daughter in the future and he seems to be the one who's doing all the trying. Daniele resorts to tears whenever he's saying something she really doesn't want to hear. I hope she learns to listen. If not, believe me, she will live to regret it. You only have one father and he obviously loves her and wants badly to mend their relationship, As for Amber and her dog vs her child, I've had many pets, mostly cats and dogs, and as much as I've loved them all, my chidren will always come first. Anyone that equates their love of a pet as equal as their love for their child seems rather odd to me. And I also am almost embarrassed to say that I, too, somehow got hooked on Age Of Love.
