'So You Think You Can Dance' - Live Results Show 7/19 East Coast Updates

Now, this won't be AS involved as my Big Brother post, but I'll be updating the important happenings on tonight's show. Return as often as you wish to see the updated entry.

Sabra and Dominic and Danny and Anya are on the stage. One couple is bottom three.

Sigh... Danny and Anya are bottom three... again. I like Dominc and Sabra, but why? Danny is superb!

Jaimie and Hok, Sara and Pasha are on the stage now. Hok and Jaimie are bottom three. Although I love Hok, I'm so happy for Pasha!

Now it's Lauren and Neil and Lacey and Kameron on stage. Lauren and Neil are bottom three.

Jason Samuel Smith, a guest star, is tap dancing. He's reminding me of the guy on The Apollo who dances people out. Same guy? Anyone know? Forget it. I know where I know him from. He was in Bring in Da Noise, Bring in Da Funk -- I saw that some time ago.

Mia Michaels and Wade were nominated for Emmys for their SYTYCD work.

Anya is dancing to Tina Turner -- way energetic. Danny is up -- this guy is so gorgeous when he dances. Jaimie is up, nice. Lots of effort and technically difficult. Hok's on, doing his B-boy stuff. Amazing. It's Lauren on stage now. Better than me for sure, but she can go and I on't be heartbroken. Now it's Neil. Probably more versatile than Hok in a lot of ways, but I want Hok to stay! (Though I think the judges may eliminate Hok tonight because he hasn't been doing well with other styles.)

Enrique Iglesias is singing now as the judges make their decision.

The girl vote isn't unanimous. Anya is going home. The decision on the males was unanimous -- Hok is gone, as I thought. Sigh.

Cat Deeley looks cute with a ponytail, LOL!

I vote for Lauren and Neil to go home (but my vote doesn't count yet. Wait til next week!)

Bring on the lovely Enrique!

Is there an Emmy for choreography??

Go, go, Tina Turner (I mean
Anya!) That was definitely her best solo - hope she saved herself.

Danny's totally safe.

Jaimie probably safe (based on Nigel's comments earlier.)

Love you, Hok. Hope you make it through!

I thought Anya and Danny did so well last night. Didn't think they deserved bottom three this week. I'm looking forward to Enrique, (if only I were about 25 years younger. Ahh, well.

Make that 35 years younger.

Wow, tough call tonight, no one really flopped. Really hope Anya is safe.

Joy - don't wish your years away, I'm sure the lovely Enrique will love you just the way you are! I'm sure you'd make a 100 times better Mrs Robinson than Kail :)

He even sounds lovely. But take off the cap, Enrique!

I like Lauren & Neil. I just started watching last week and have enjoyed both of the dances I've seen. Were they bad before?

I didn't like Hok, but from what the judges said he's had a few bad weeks so I guess I didn't see him at his best. I must say that his solo was freakin' amazing. How does he bend that way?

Too bad, Anya, I don't agree it was your time to go. Your dance last night and your solo tonight were great. I'm really surprised about HOK. What a shame. I'm sure we'll see both of you somewhere again.

orkmommy - they weren't bad, but they didn't move me for the most part. As for Hok, I've been moved by him since he got kicked out for not having a work visa last season. he's amazing!

Well, I'm really disappointed. Aside from the dancing, Hok and Anya were 2 of the classier PEOPLE in the competition. Wish them both well. Noticed that Pasha went right over to give Anya a hug. Aww!

Orkmommy - Neil has been good in the last 2 rounds only IMHO. He was more of a gymnast than a dancer to begin with. But I give him credit for a lot of growth. Lauren just irritates the heck out of me, cause she seems really fake. Once again, IMHO. And she's been a judges favorite from the beginning, which always irritated me, because her dancing was somewhat inconsistent.

Oh well, I'll definitely be voting next week. Go Pasha!!!

Last week was my first week and Danny & Anya actually made me tear up with that contemporary dance. I've never teared up from a dance before! :(

BTW...Pasha & Sara are my favs...

I have to say,I thought it might be Hok's week to leave and although I have enjoyed him tremendously,he has been a little laking the last couple of weeks. He is amazing and I think he has great things in his future.

I,unlike a lot of you, have never been a big Anya fan. Of the three tonight,it was her I wanted to go. In the past,I have not liked Lauren, but have liked her better than Anya!

Now this is getting serious and it will be interesting to see who the pairs are next week and see how they do. I like Pasha, alot, but also think Danny is amazing as is Dominic, whose personality I think is off the charts. Of the girls I like Sabra and Lacey, but I have to say that Sara has blown me away week after week. I never expected that much from her,a B Girl, but she is amazing.

Oh,I loved Enrique too! The more I see him,the more I like him. And yes,I am way to old for him too....LMAO!!!!

I think Cameron would have been in bottom 3 but he is saved each week due to the huge popularity of Benjie's sister, Lacey. I would have liked to have seen Cameron go( the one the judges said is too heavy on his feet)..but I knew with Lacey as his partner, he would not be in bottom 3.

Hok would have been great for the tour though but I figured he would go.

Poor Hok, the luck of the draw that he has gotten tougher dances for him than some have.

This is where it gets tough! I am too attached to all of them to want to see them go. ;(

I actually thought Neil may have been leaving tonight after his solo... Looked like a lot of free style jumps to me. And not surprised about Anya, but really thought it was her BEST solo. She brought it tonight!

This is such an entertaining show! I just love it!

I'm about to get on my soapbox again about Danny, so be forewarned, folks! :-)

He is just about the most technically gifted dancer on the show, at least among the males. Why has he landed in the bottom 3 so often? Will he do better when he has a different partner than Anya? (The Russian ballroom dancers don't seem to fare that well each season.)

His personality does not come across as that great. That doesn't bother me, because his dancing is what I'm there to watch, not his interviews.

It seems likely that he's gay. His training is clearly in ballet-- which is stigmatized in our country as too gay for males. It's commonly talked about in the gay community that black gay men face double discrimination. Could this be a contributing factor? *America* can handle a "flamboyant" (ugh) character like BB's Marcellus, but can it handle a confident guy like Danny?

Okay, I think I'll stop here, this is turning into a PhD dissertation!

Oh, hey, btw Jackie: thanks for visiting my humble little blog! lol.

I was so sorry that Danny & Anya wound up in the bottow 3 again, but I saw it coming. I actually picked up the phone and voted on Wednesday - something I haven't done up to this point - and much to my dismay, I voted for Danny & Anya and got through every time. Not one busy signal! I voted for them about 20 times or so, and then gave up. I think their problem was that their fans were older more mature people like myself who can't be bothered spending two straight hours voting. It is a shame though, because Danny is such a joy to watch and without the judges to save him, he'll most likely be gone next week. I also thought Anya did well and wanted Lauren to go home instead.

Just like past seasons..we have favs and hope they stay. Last night was tough..all were good, but then we are not the judges and glad I am not. I could not have picked who was going! Hok was good but he was grounded in hip-hop and think that sealed it for him, unfortunately. Hate when the judges are split of girls, happening alot this season. Next week new partners, should be interesting!

Actually, for once, I wasn't totally angry about the vote. I think I like Hok better but I can understand their decision (anyway. Hok apparently has been asked to join the tour anyways). Meanwhile, I kept flip flopping between Lauren and Anya but either way, I think each would have been booted next week anwyays. But orkmommy, no, Neil and Lauren have been pretty good but I think people expect more. Though Im not sure where the hatred for Neil comes from. He's not the brightest bulb in the show but he doesn't deserve all the hate. Anwyays, if you havent seen all the clips from this season, I posted them all on my site.

Ok..im a dancer and have danced my entire life doing jazz tap ballet and contemp..honestly Danny, Neil, and Lauren are the strongest dancers on the show ..as for someones earlier post about neil being a gymnast..Neil started doing gymnastics and has danced competitively for years and years doin jazz ballet and tap..i have personally competed against him at american dance awards...where he won dancer of the year.
I know the competition is for the favourite dancer or whatever but why can't we vote for who is a better dancer...some of the dancers get through and they can't do half the stuff..i applaud many of the non dancers who are only trained in one style for keeping up but as a dancer the technique is lacking..out of 3 seasons we have had 1 rightful winner - Nick...and in my opinion benji shouldnt have won last seaon..they keep goin on how lacey is his sister all the time they dont keep focusing on danny being related to Travis...they r using benji to make ppl vote for lacey..though she is a decent dancer for not doing jazz etc..but i bet she took classes before she did season 3...as for SARA the B girl..LIAR LIAR...competed against her too she has had yrs of training in jazz tap and ballet more yrs than B girl training..soo i hate how they are saying wow you can actually do some of these things..well duh cuz she used to do them at a dance studio before she even did Breaking!!
