A day without Dustin is like a day without sunshine.
Or not.
For all the drama leading into last night's show, it's been a bit quiet strategy-wise, etc.
But they did have the food comp!
Here are the happenings from today inside that Big Brother House of Dropping Jaws:
- Eric did jumping jacks naked then asked Jameka her opinion of his anatomy. @@ (Is that like playing doctor when you're 8 or what?)
- Jessica, Amber, and Jameka were treated to this wonder.
- Dick would like Jen to leave this week. If not Jen, he'd settle for Amber. (I'd put Amber on my list for first to go.)
- He's worried that Jen could win POV or HOH.
- Zach doesn't like being called Shrek. Instead of saying that to Dick who calls him it, he told Jen. (Jen said, "I'm Jen.)
- The feeds were blocked for the food comp and when they returned, the HG were wearing togas.
- I'm not sure who's on slop this week. It could be Amber and Jameka as the rest seem pretty happy.
- Amber went off to her room where she probably ...
- ... cried.
- The table became smaller while they were outside with the food comp. It's about time!

Dick is right to get out Jen, she is good in comps, and smarter than most...but I feel bad she would be stuck with Dustin...I really think Amber deserves that honor.
Do you know if the BB rules have anything to say about this scenario? Say Jen uses the POV to save one of the Two nominees...hand its over to say, Jameka...(I doubt this but for the sake of the thought)....Can Dani then nominate Jen or is she still quasi-safe?
The POV winner is safe from being nominated whether they use it or not. For that week, anyway!

Last night on the feeds I saw Eric in Jessica's little outfit (with headband and heels, too!) but I missed what preceded that. Does anyone know what prompted him to dress up? Just curious.
Also, Lucy...oooops, I forgot to identify myself on an earlier post. I was the "anonymous" who saw your question on Housecalls. I've watched that from the beginning, too and it was cool to hear from someone I'd seen posting here and on TV Squad. Congrats...and yeah, I noticed Gretchen almost blew it but Dustin must have liked your question :)

I think I heard Zach say (or maybe you wrote it Jackie...sorry if I have forgotten your words) that he had lost some weight before coming into the house and wanted to work at keeping it off. That Shrek comment might have some history with him, which would make it more hurtful than it might seem. Jen needs a name tag. I wonder if any one ever gave her a nickname. Sue

About Eric...I must really be old...I have never heard that particular action described as "master of his domain"!!! You know, when he leaves her bed maybe that is what happens. It is my understanding that he is living with a woman but not in a romantic way.
Orkmommy--TY for your comments about Dani. Although young she is old enough to know that when you are in a two year committed relationship you sleep in the same bed with another man and share DEEP PASSIONATE kisses--that is cheating in my book!! Kris is moving in with his parents because he is going back to school and Dani can't support both of them. She could have moved with him but doesn't want to live with any parents! I think her month off from him is going to turn into a permanant vacation. Her and Nick's relationship was so much more than innocent flirting. As for her birthday, do you think she will feel comfortable enough at this point in the game to tell the HG her REAL age??

I agree with anonymous @ 6:55, I think Zach has struggled with his body image and calling him Shrek would be very hurtful. Not sure if Dick is calling him Shrek because of size though. I think Dick sees him as a cartoon character or oaf.
Speaking of cartoon characters - has anyone else ever thought of Woody Woodpecker when they look at Dick or am I just losing it along with the houseguests?
The hypocrisy which is danielle strikes again. She is already trying to convince her dad that they should target eric right away. This after the big sales pitch and alliance agreement between d&d and jess and eric to go to final four. Danielle tells us often how much she hates phonies and liars, and yet she herself is one! The "agreement" is sticking only because so far dick is insisting that eric "deserves" it, at least for now.
I predict this unholy alliance will be the downfall of jess and eric. I hope to see Zach, Jen, Jess and Eric as the final four, but I doubt that will come to pass.

Dustin is a good interview. He is well spoken and chooses his words wisely. I watched him on Housecalls today and was impressed with his honesty. He admitted to many of his mistakes and seems to be able to laugh things off.
It was refreshing to hear him tell Julie one of his regrets was his behaviour over the past week, especially how he took the low road. Quite often players say they wouldn't change how they played the game but I have a feeling that Dustin might play differently if he were in there again.
I waffled on how I felt about Dustin as a player but now I can see why I liked him in the beginning. His eviction is what I was looking for this week but I can understand why some folks will not be happy.
I did not see anyone make mention about Dani's "poor little me being Evils daughter" speech in Jessicas HOH room, & then later on saying how it was strategy, the little witch! She crys about how everyone else lies in the game, she should look in the mirror. She is a whiney one & I wouldn't mind seeing her go real soon...we might then see a differant Evil. He should have given her the slop pass 'cause that girl needs to eat a meal for goodness sake.
I can't stand looking at Amber at all. She is just plain ugly in her almost in tears look. Her entire mouth is always in a frown! She is about as unbalanced as anyone I have ever seen in real life or on TV! BTW she was just a little too chunky to be wearing the outfit she did during the vote. Too much muffin top. Feel sorry for her daughter as I am sure she is just the same in everyday life as she is here. Things don't change THAT much folks. Evil is a good one to keep in as no one will vote him the winner at the end, or so it would seem.
I think Jameka should win, or Jessica or Eric. Jen has played a good game also. There is a lot of right in the idea that Evil has so dominated the scene no one else has gotten a chance to get out in the limelite at all. Or very few have ventured to do so. He really needs to back off.
OK-so I just read Joker's and Eric is referring to his roommate as his girlfriend and they didn't discuss what was OK for him to do in the house--well that would explain alot...unlike Dani he is trying to be faithful.
Zach did say he had lost 60 lbs(I think) before entering the house. He is like a 13 boy growing into a man's body and lacking self-esteem.

Dick used the POV to save Daniele so remained on the block. This was an exception to the POV winner being safe as he was already nominated and didn't save himself.
Sorry if this has been addressed already: Julie did not tell Dustin about America's player last night and she did not do it today on The Early Show or online. Does he know about Eric as America's player now? Thanks!
Debbie... No, they did not tell Dustin about eric being the AP, because if Eric happens to make it to the final, Dustin will have a vote on who he wants to win the $500,000 and knowing that lil tid bit of info may sway their votes. I also think that if Eric does not make the final two and is in the jury that we(America) get to vote for who we want to win as his vote. :)
No matter how the other houseguests feel about Dick and Danielle, if they want a shot at winning, they have to break up the D & D alliance, otherwise, those two will be the final two. Of those two, who would the jury vote for?
No one knows if Dani & Nick were actually kissing, or if he was acting silly and making kissing sounds..to which she giggled about it. She had also told Nick numerous times that she was in a relationship.
I think a lot of people are jealous because she is pretty, and the fact that she chooses to be around guys instead of catty women. I don't blame her on that one. I myself have always had many more male friends because I enjoy their varied and interesting conversations, unlike the women who are so catty and want to sit around and down other women, including their own friends. I am well past 50 and have tried many times to be friends with women, but it's the same in about any female relationship...women ARE catty people. And I don't like spending my time just gossiping about other people.
Again Dani is young and needs to find what she wants in life. She is "not" committed in this relationship with Kris. Where is the ring if it's a "committed" relationship? By the way, Kris could have been working while attending college. There are plenty of unspoiled hard working young guys, and girls, out there that do that and don't need to live off a girlfriend or mommy.Yes, it's hard to do both, but life is hard, deal with it.
Oh yes and Erik can be in a relationship but still show his genitals to everyone and even ask other women about his "size", and sleep in the same bed with Jessica and flirt and talk about being together, etc. But Danielle can't have a guy flirting with her.
Another thing with Erik. Even if he has no intentions of cheating on his partner, is it fair to Jessica who is also very young and apparently pretty gullible, to lead her on and make her think he is really interested? You can tell she is falling for him. Including in her diary room talk, about life outside the house, that they may get together. Erik is a creep for leading on a young gullible sensitive girl.
It looks like maybe Zach is stepping up his game a little, don't you think? Now would be a good time. It's a tough change for young women who are heavy and then lose weight, but I think it's much harder for young men. The "Shrek" comment probably does freak him out on both the emotional and intellectual levels. Hope he can rise above it.
I think Daniele is a spoiled brat. She is 20 years old, well OK almost 21, but she acts like a princess. When she doesn't get her way, she cries about wanting to go home and how much this game influences her life outside of the house. She won HoH again and is happy as can be. Daddy Dick does her dirty work for her.
I think the demise of Dick and Daniele's relationship has a little bit to do with both of them. Dick put his foot down and said "you owe me money" or whatever the case she didn't get her way and stopped speaking to him. He probably blew it out of proportion thus why he is trying so hard to mend things in the house. She strings him along and when she gets mad at him she doesn't speak to him. Same goes for Nick, she would get mad at him and not speak to him.
For me it has nothing to do with her looks, her attitude just sucks, IT SUCKS!!!

Can't figure out much on Daniele's BF Kris myspace site-- it's set to private. His mood has been irate, sad, touched and drained. He hasn't updated it since Aug 6th.
I believe Danielle's quest to evict Jen perhaps by backdooring her is once again petty, come on here we go again with same old BS backdoor crap, Well in this case it's not going to work, Dani is constantly mocking in her mousy voice how she'd like Jen out, problem is; I see another similar voting out Kail incident ( AP voting will shift again due to Eric ) we'll then be back to Danielle and Dick on the block next week, however this time one of them will indeed be voted off! Of course unless WahAmber is evicted, otherwise, Danielle's eviction plan will backfire, Danielle doesn't believe other HG's are smart enough to realize what she has in store, however Eric certainly the one who will shift waffles. Not a smart move for Dani to make, I'm sure Dick perhaps will attempt to relay this isn't a good idea, because they actually don't have the votes for a Jen eviction, ( I'm 100% positive Eric will be working against a Jen eviction per AP ) Hahaha -- other HG's actually have somewhat wised up. YouTube has a video of he under the cover happenings. Now, I can't understand what they're saying and you can't see what's happening, but I've been similar situations myself and they are most definitely NOT just making kissing sounds and giggling. I don't know her situation with Kris, but I do know that she said more than once that she's in a committed relationship and she loves him, etc. She even cried to her dad about how hard it was. Plain and simple, she was cheating. Even if she changed her mind about Kris she still should have waited until she was out of the house, told Kris what was going on AND THEN got under the covers with Nick!

And Nick said something in kind, like-- I wnat to kiss you too. And then the covers were over their heads and we heard kissing sounds. I know they could have added the sounds in after the fact... but yeah, I think it happened. And under these circumstances, considering all of it -- her age, blah blah.... I really am not surpirsed and don't pass judgement on her. What I don't like his her WHIIIIIning and her manipulative nature. It's kind of a dissapointing way to use her smarts. IMHO

LOL...you ladies are proving my point about how women are catty. Aren't you all sitting here downing Dani, and going and trying to dig up even more "dirt" to use against her? You don't even know her. So I can imagine how you talk about those that you do know.
I do need to clear up one thing about my comment about men and women. I know there are some men I wouldn't enjoy being around, but MOST of the men I choose to be friends with are men who are intelligent, fun, and I enjoy their conversatons, whether it's sports, traveling,jobs, bands, etc. "MOST" of the women I have tried to be friends with are the type that are catty and who would stab you in the back in a heartbeat. I DO have a couple female friends that I do enjoy because they rise above the cattiness.
I just think everyone on this board needs to talk about the game, and leave the houseguests outside lives alone IF you do not personally know them. You do NOT know the entire story of any of these people.
It's a game! Some of you need to get a life if you have nothing better to do than to go and dig up dirt so you can gossip and pass judgement on people you don't even know.
I use to enjoy this board when people mainly kept it "game talk", but I think this year you people have been as brutal & judgemental about the houseguests lives outside the house as they are inside the house.
Anon @12:09 - Please keep your comments related to the houseguests, not the commenters. If this continues, posts will have to be removed. The houseguests are in the public eye and are open to judgments right or wrong, but the commenters here aren't. The "private" lives of the houseguests have always been a staple of conversation here -- it's just sometimes there's more fuel for the fire with certain HG.

Hi everyone! I came across this blog & I think I might be able to answer the question how Zack got the nick name "Shrek". I watch BB8 After Dark almost every night or I have my DVR set up to record it so I can watch when I get a chance. A while back the house guests stood around where the pictures of everyone who is/was in the house. Then they guessed who each house guest resembled (ie: famous person or person's, cartoon character, etc.) For example they came up with Joe looking like Alice's child (the maid on The Brady Bunch). After they came up with who each person looked like, Jameka would "stamp it". I hope I was able to help.
Nana in the NW, you aren't familiar with the phrase "master of his domain" as refers to masturbation? It's a reference to a fairly famous episode of Seinfeld (so famous that even I'm aware of it and I never watched Seinfeld) in which the four lead characters have a bet on who can go without "pleasuring themselves" the longest. George loudly proclaims that he is "master of my domain." So I suppose that we should really use the term to mean that he hasn't taken that approach to dealing with Jessica's flirting but it has come to mean what I stated.
