'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Report - Friday 8/31

Jameka and Jessica talk about Zach nominating them both for eviction. They aren't pleased with him. They're also upset that he didn't look them in the eye when he nominated them.

But, before that point, lots happened in the house today and I've been running behind all day. So here we go!
  • Dick wants to get rid of Jameka this week, then Zach the next.
  • Jessica was sure she would be nominated. She figured it would be her and Eric or Jameka.
  • Jessica talked with Dick. She said that since she'd probably be on the block, she'd rather be up with Jameka, then Jameka goes home.
  • Jessica received her phone call (won by Eric somehow in the HOH comp and given to her). She talked to her brother and her friend. Since she's been in the house, her brother returned from Iraq and she's thrilled he's home. She's proud of him but has been very worried. Her brother told her the Booyah shirt was backing a charity (which I linked in the post the night they showed her wearing it on the show).
  • Dick and Zach went over their reasons for Jameka to leave this week.
  • Zach is pleased that Eric is a bit scared, but Eric doesn't seem to be his target. It really sounds in all of his talks that it's Jameka he wants out.
  • Daniele worked on Zach with the idea of an Eric or Jessica eviction next week -- which would be this week, they just don't know they're heading into a double eviction.
  • Zach went around talking to everyone, feeling them out. (Mind you, feeling them OUT, not UP.)
  • Zach made a deal with Eric. He told him he would rather be against him at the end and considers Jameka and Jessica threats. He wants everyone to vote Jameka out. Eric agreed he would do so.
  • Well, DUH, Zach. Of course Eric would vote out Jameka before Jessica.
  • Eric told him he didn't want to be put up against Jessica.
  • There you go, the day in a nutshell. Jameka and Jessica are on the block with Jameka being the target. Supposedly, any POV players besides Jameka will keep the nominations the same and Jameka will leave on Thursday with a vote of 3-0.
  • Jessica is playing dumb with Jameka and giving her no indication that she has any inkling what's up.
  • No one has used the word "pawn."
The greatest plans of mice and men ...

We all know things can go topsy-turvy overnight, say nothing about nearly a week!

Did anyone with the live feeds hear Dani's explanation of 153 to Zach? I've been very curious as to what it means.

Jackie, and many others (regulars or not), I have been without an computer for the past two weeks - of hell. I wasn't able to view any soilers for the first week...we had nothing. My husband eventually rigged an old computer so I could at least lurk. Thank God for something...ooo, I think I just had an Amber moment.

I want everyone to know that I missed posting and missed this community alot. It's true, it's very pleasant here. Some places are so nasty that it's not even worth going back to. I have been coming here regularly for a couple of years.

Jackie, thank you for all that you do here. I appreciate it so much. It was really a tough time without my BB info....can you imagine, a whole week without advanced notice of goings on. I missed the whole Jen/Dick cigarette burning incident.

If Eric wins POV and saves Jessica, can he be put on the block has the POV?

Hi Jackie,Julie said on last night's show that Jameka had 5 weeks of no HOH. I was thinking it was 5 HOH comps. Maybe it won't make any difference, but I don't know when they started counting. Maybe she will be gone any way. It is a small thing, but I was curious when she would be able to compete again. If she isn't gone this time, I am sure she will be the double elim person, unless, of course, she is the double elim HOH.

Jameka and Zach had a problem from the beginning of the show. I don't know what started it, I wasn't paying attention early on. Does anyone remember if it was just instant dislike or if they had an argument? If he said way back then that he would get her out, then he is keeping to a plan. I remember his staring at Daniele from the beginning, too. I like to see adoration, except that she is so insulting about his attentions...except this week. This week she loves her some HOH. I would be surprised if he nominated or evicted her, and I would be surprised if his outside friends don't give him a hard time about not playing the game right. Especially if she is the one sends him to the jury. Thanks Jackie, I'll go read TV Squad now. Sue

Dani said the 153 means "I adore you."

Anonymous said...

Teri in Ohio: I thought it meant: "I" one letter, "HEART" 5 letters, "YOU" 3 letters. Those goofy kids...who knows?

Anonymous said...

adore also has 5 letters.

Nana in the NW: I'm filling out my application for BBSeniors! I don't remember, Im old, if you had any ideas about what the endurance comps would be...like see who could get by without their meds the longest, or perhaps lock all the bathroom doors and whomever is the last one in dry pants wins!

Jackie S. said...

Nats - I have no idea why they didn't show it. It could be something as simple as no time or it could be other reasons only known by BB. I've seen no announcements about it.

too funny Steff... and so true! I mean for others of course...not me.

Just read on Joker's that the POV comp will be tonight at midnight and Janelle will be hosting it.
Has anyone heard about this?

I'll check back to see if Jackie's monitoring it. I know how difficult this must be for Jackie living on the East Coast. She always gives up her sleep just for her blog fans.

We love you, Jackie!

Can't go to bed without one last check. LOL

I don't remember where exactly it is but someone asked why Zach and Jameka didn't get along. During the first week or so, Zach touched Jameka's leg and then, proceeded to wipe his hand on his pants repeatedly like he was trying to rub the touch of her off him...know what i mean. Anyway, Jameka took it as Zach being racist...LOL. Zach said it was because she had just put on lotion and she was greasy from the lotion but didn't do it because he's a racist. Then, Zach made dinner for two for all of the girls.. a "date" night. He kept promising to have a "Date" with Jameka but it never happened. He offered again and Jameka said why don't you just cook for everyone like she didn't want him to do it for her. So she didn't get it and then, when Amber was bucking for votes, they brought the whole thing up again in an effort to turn everyone against Zach.

As for interviewing Amber, I can see both sides. If I were a reproter, I would think I should ask Amber about her comments. However, on the CBS side, it would probably be a good idea not to bring it up because it could possibly affect the outcome of the game. Suppose for example the final two were ERic and Jess. If Ambre voted for Jess, some people might miscontrue that vote because Eric is jewish. JMO though. Don't anyone get offended. I on the other hand will get offended. I have no right to get offended but I'm gonna anyway.

As to Amber's racist comments, sorry this is so long, I feel whether or not you are personally offended by Amber's comments or not, you have a responsibility to stand up against racism any time you get the opportunity. My family is American Indian and Irish. I feel this way because racism is a serious problem in this country as shown by the Rodney King beating in LA and the Alfred Louima rape in NY several years ago. I think it is a responsibility for every adult to stand up and fight against racism. The German people didn't stand up for the Jews back in WWII and that in my opinion was one of the reasons why the Holocust happened. A while back, the U.S. government decreed that no one of Indian blood was allowed to live east of the Miss. which lead to the Trail of Tears (It's a good thing they couldn't find my great-gradpa or I'd be talking like Reba McIntire today) . A lot of Southerners believed in slavery and that turned out well didn't it? My point is that not one of these things are worse than the other. They're all equally bad because they were caused by racism. If we don't stand up to racism something similar will happen again and this time it might not be the Jews or African Americans, or American Indians next time it might by against you. Racism is an insidious and yes evil thing and we are human beings we weren't wired to hate people because they're different from us. It's a leanred behavior. It can also be unlearned and again we are a country of many races, many faiths, and many opinions. It is our diversity which makes this country the greatest country in the world. Again JMHO If I offended anyone I'm sorry I offended you but I will not apologize for thinking everyone should stand up against racism.

Nana in the NW, Steff,& all possible future senior BB players-

My mother entered Assisted Living a few weeks ago. They play BINGO everyday. I have had the opportunity to be visiting a few times while these folks played. There have been times when I thought maybe I was in the BB House. These folks can get very upset over a quarter and when they played blackout for $1.00, things really got heated, especially for the one who won! Cards were flying and some refused to pick their cards. These folks went straight back to their rooms until snack time. I sure hope nobody gets hurt and my mother decides to only play when one of us can accompany her to BINGO. Helmets may be required if this continues to happen. I think they need to have the activities cordinator present at all times.

I was thinking maybe for something to do in the BB Senior House a game of BINGO could be played and see if it gets anyone worked up like it does at the Assisted Living. However, I think we would need to have a few of these folks in the house in order for the game to reach it's full potential.

If you don't hear from me again, just know that I forgot my helmet at home on BINGO Day and was attacked by the flying BINGO cards!

Good night and best of luck in the BB Senior House.

Patty....too,too funny!!!! I could see this group playing Bingo now,Amber crying cause her numbers aren't coming up and dick swearing and throwing his number marker across the room.Eric and Zach wrestling on the table and Jameka going......uuummm hmmmmm,I knew that was gonna happen!Dani is in the corner saying how much she hates everybody!Nothing like a friendly game of Bingo to keep the hamsters happy. That might be why they give them so few "toys" to play with!

jackie,
how will the double elimination work?
will there be another hoh and nominations right away? will the second evictee leave thursday or sunday? is it a double elimination day? or week?
I have seen it in the past with a second hoh comp etc, but people have been telling me that the exiting person would choose the second evictee? if that is true is the current hoh (zach) safe, and would the person who holds the pov be safe?
I for one would like to see jameka go then zach since he could not be hoh again.
then it would be the ljc alliance and may the best manipulator win.
I still like danielle despite her whining, she is only 21.
I like eric a little more after his family was interviewed.
Jessica has played well, not pissed anyone off,
and dick well he is quite a character, hate him or not he has played the game.
if anyone can explain the double eviction i would appreciate it.

thanks

Patty, I was trying to find things that wouldn't get the HG's hurt. Old people and melees(sp) don't as a rule mix well...lol
Sounds like that assisted living place needs armed guards!
I can see it now...HGs without tatoos but a strange ailment of dauberitis. They come in such cool colors these days. The attack of the polka-dotted people.

Chris - I know how the double eviction usually works, but it sounds like this one has two going home on Thursday -- usually it's one on Thursday, one on Sunday. So it could be very different!

Nana in the NW, Steff, Patty & all possible future senior BB players-

Luxury comp - Prizes are listed in a board in "eye chart" fashion. Houseguests read each line as it's revealed. When the player can no longer read the line, he/she wins the next prize.

HOH comp - Houseguests lay in the middle of the backyard with nothing around. Ring a telephone in the house. The number of rings is determined by the old HOH spinning a wheel. Houseguests can only get up and answer when the phone is ringing. If the phone stops ringing before it is answered, players must return to the ground and the HOH spins again.

My hunch on why no sequester house:
Dustin was to be in Mexico just as a hurricaine spet through (I would think they'd havelearned from pervious years that this is not the time of year to be in Mexico/Gulf areas and just put them up in Santa Barbara or San Diego fercrissakes).

Once relocated, Jen refuses to live with Dustin and others. BB producers aquiesce to keep her vote.

Amber gets out and wants to be on vaca with her pal Dustin but with her scandal all across CNN/Foxnews/Msn etc... they start this no press rule, and maybe had to delay her going straight there.

Or maybe Jen's refusal to stay with Dustin kinda messed things up... you'd think it would be a breach of contract and she could be sued by them, but it looks like she couls sue them back for some things about keeping Dick in, so maybe they both agreed to disagree and let her stay elsewhere. In which case, how do you film the sequester house and explain that.

Just thinking...this may not be the real thing but with these complications, it's not a surprise to me that we aren't seeing the SQ house.

This is how I remember double evictions:
-they vote on Thursday as usual, and evic a hg
-they have the HOH comp after eviction
-the winner has a couple of minutes to nominate
- POV is Fri or Sat? (ok, I DON"T remember)
-Sunday is the eviction, and next HOH.

Kay, Thanks for answering the Jameka/Zach question I asked. Wiping his hand was a very uncool move by Zach. I'll choose to believe it was a faux pas in the etiquette department rather than a racial slur. Since I didn't see it happen. Julie handled a similar situation much better when Amber offered her a hand wet from tears. I read the rest of your post and you brought up some complex issues. I think some times racial matters are blamed when it is human greed that is at fault. And that makes the topic tie in to BB. Greed and doing anything for money and/or fame.

On the Senior BB subject. Good one Nana, look what you started. I am thinking at least one house comp would have to require all contestants to exchange eyeglasses...or work without any. And the bingo story was so funny and yet could be pretty serious, too. We wouldn't want anyone to break a hip. It did kind of remind me of a being in the stands at a Little League baseball game, though.

Thanks, Sue

rumor has it there will be no real view of the sequester house or if there is, it will be minimal at best and heavily edited.

this due to the fact that this is the most controversal, bigoted, abusive, mental (i can't spell skitzo properly) and disliked cast of all times.

apparently the station has had many complaints and i believe they have lost sponsors over this. lawsuits are the buzz - by family members and others.

when amber did not get her exit interview, the "inside" thought was that she would not be able to get through an interview, as there were some practice sessions. she was lead to believe that her interview was to be taped and shown, which we now know as false. going forward, those coming out have been told (or will be) that the press has attempted to leak relevant information to influence the game and they can all make up for it at the end. by then, they are hoping to polish those that need polishing.

has anyone noticed how amber has not had any background history/family. we saw jam's pastor and family; eric's, dick and others. apparently, there isn't must to say on a high note for amber. i think i heard that her employer made her promise not to embarass herself or others. so much for that.

poor cbs, they have set them up big time this year and their screening process will certain get stricter. they may not hold a bb9 as should be scheduled next season. much will depend on the outcome of this show and it's potential legal issues.

regardless of anything they sign, there are still loopholes that can be broken.

se le vie!

signed,
