'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Report - Into Friday Morning 8/03

Whoa! Lotsa news! Get yer updates!

In the HOH comp last night, after it was down to Kail, Jen, and Daniele apparently Jen was disqualified leaving it between Kail and Daniele. Daniele said she would be there all night and offered Kail a deal -- she might have to put her on the block, but she won't go home.

Kail took the deal and Daniele is the new HOH.

But that's only a part of the news. When the feeds were blocked for so long, what actually happened was that a banner plane flew above. The banner flown said that "Eric and Amber are liars."

Here's what transpired after the comp in that Big Brother House of Ill Winds:
  • Amber cried.
  • Dick thinks there's a leak in the group because Kail knew she wasn't leaving this week. (Um... Dustin!)
  • Daniele told Jameka she didn't vote for Nick to stay. If it wasn't Jen, it was someone in their own group.
  • Jameka was very upset about Nick going home and felt it was her fault. Daniele told her it was Dustin's fault.
  • Daniele said everyone knows they evicted the wrong person. She had tried to save him.
  • Jessica admitted that she threw the comp, but didn't think she could last as long as the other three did anyway.
  • Amber cried. "The people who flew the banner are trying to make me and Eric look bad because we're so honest!"
  • Apparently, not all read the banner. Jen, Eric and Dustin were talking. Jen said it wasn't fair that some know and some don't.
  • Jen said that she got down (feeds blocked) while the producers reviewed the tapes to disqualify her.
  • Daniele got her HOH room and dedicated it to Nick. She was happy with her basket of goodies and letters from home. Yes, she got a letter from and pictures of Kris (the boyfriend).
  • Evel lingered in the HOH room after the others left. Daniele told him that she thinks Eric was responsible for the odd votes.
  • Dick and Daniele hugged and told each other that they love each other. Touching, indeed.
  • Daniele has been getting closer to Jessica, she told her father. Both think Eric is "sketchy."
  • Eric tried to cover with Dick claiming he couldn't be the votes because he was the most vocal against them. He wants to let the conspiracy issues (raised by the plane) stay aside and focus on the game.
  • Amber and Eric talked more about the banner plane. It said that the LNC is the Nerd Herd (see season 6), Nick is loved, Eric and Amber lie.
  • When Kail and Jen talked about the banner, Kail thought it had said Eric and Daniele are liars.
  • Eric's really trying to backpedal. He's nervous and jumpy again.
  • Eric said the DR apologized to him about the incident, but it does no good.
  • Dick is sure that Eric was the odd vote and responsible for both Jen and Kail remaining in the house. (Now, mind you... the odd votes cast didn't affect who went home. Dick is just freaking out.)
  • The alliances have changed. Now Dick, Daniele, Jessica and Zach are aligned. %$# the LNC says Dick.
  • Daniele and Dick are convinced that Eric has been in an alliance since week one with Kail and Jen.
  • Eric is still denying he was the odd vote.
  • Jessica said Jen told her that the DR told her there's to be a luxury comp tomorrow (today). Dick is suspicious because the DR told her and no one else.
  • Jessica talked to Dustin, didn't tell him the talk with Daniele and Dick, but said she thought Eric was the leak.
  • Eric is crumbling away minute by minute.
  • Amber cried.
  • Dustin assured Amber that he trusts her and Eric the most -- "Eric doesn't have it in him to lie."
  • Amber cried.
  • Amber told Dustin that Eric hates Dick and wants him to go home.
  • Eric is still trying to get back in with Dick and party -- saying that they have to take out Dustin, Amber and Jameka.
  • The tide seems to be turning with Evel and party -- it's swinging to Kail being the target. This is dizzying!
  • Dick wants Dustin to watch to see who talks to Jen or Kail.
Oh, my. What a night!

UPDATE: Jessica told Eric that the DR tried to convince her he had no part in the odd votes.

Thanks, Jackie...it's getting difficult to know what's going on with whom without a scorecard!

Interesting, too bad I have to work :(

You're the best,

The major problem I'm having is that I know who to root against. However, I have no one to root for.

So much for the keep placing Kail on the hot seat...will rattle her too much to compete!!! The comp disproved that assumption.

Anonymous said...

Daniele told Kail she would not put her on the block, but I would say that is not a promise not to backdoor her...ummmm! I do not think she should nominate Jen, she keeps getting put up there and then gets taken off with the POV. I say backdoor JEN!!! May be the only way to get her out.

Anyone see Dustin give Amber the LONG backrub after the HOH comp? Poor thing was hurting, as if the ones who lasted the longest were not worse!!!tt

barbwire said...

it sounded to me like Jackie said that Danielle's agreement with Kail was that she would put her up, but she wouldn't be the target - how can Danielle guarantee how everyone else will vote ??

I still have to say i admire Jen and the way she handles Dick - how many people can just sit there after someone dumps iced tea on you ? if that's her game, she is playing an exellent one - of all the abuse she takes from Dick, she just smiles & take it, doesn't blow up, who else could do that ??

I want Kail and Amber on the block - and i don't care which one goes home

Daniele said she may have to put Kail on the block, but told her she wouldn't go home. That was the deal.

Amber needs to go, she's not only the biggest liar, her tears are fake, sad part its horrific cry acting, if Dick can suspect Eric;` By Tuesday he should have Ambers script!Amber should have kept her mouth shut about producer monitor questioning her in D/R session why send Nick home?

Anonymous said...

if i read it right dani said she might have to put her (kail)on the block but promised shw wouldnt go home....hummm how can she speak for the other hg and who they will vote for if she is on the block lol kail isnt as smart as she thinks.... dani worded that promise just right to get her out and still keep her promise

Anonymous said...

i say get amber out shes a basket case and need to go b4 sequester. zack might be a little wierd but ed and the crew think hes not a threat right now...hummm reminds me of a snake in the grass waiting to strike at just the right timw

oh my oh my, lots going on last night! As I watch my morning ShoToo, I knew the writings today would be fierce! My two cents on Jen and non-reaction. She may be used to people being confrontational with her, and by not reacting, it is her defense mechanism on how she handles things thrown on her and puts a wall up to protect herself. Eric - is in big trouble, he was doing a lot of scrambling trying to convince people he wasn't the odd vote. But the more he talked about it, the more suspicious Dick got. America needs to help him out this week!!

Walter...I agree with you. Don't know who to root for.
JMHO, but I am feeling a lot of compassion for Kail. NO, I am not a Kail fan, but I feel for her taking the constant verbal abuse from ED. I know I couldn't handle his constant juvenile outbursts directed at her. Calling someone out another is one thing, but name calling ( "You're a piece of s$#^") is bullying. ED is a bully. He has zeroed in on easy targets, and keeps dishing up his verbal trash at them. It's getting harder for me to watch his school yard antics. The others stand by and let him dish it out. Now I understand, that if he's bullying Jen and Kail, he's not targeting the other houseguests. I know, it's "Good tv??" But the immaturity of ED shows such a lack of civility it makes my stomach wretch.
I really don't want Kail and Jen to stay, but I don't like watching them take his s^&*, either.
I love this blog because of the different views on each person involved. It gives me a great perspective. Thanks Jackie and Zoetawny for all that you do to make this blog so wonderful.

Okay, here's how I'm feeling about all this in the clear light of another day in the hamster cage.As a "former" admirer of ED,I have no love or respect for the way he is playing this game.If I had known to what depths he would sink,I wouldn't have admired his game play in the beginning. The fact that his abusive style gathers him tons of admirers(and women mostly) is making me sick to my stomach. The man clearly has issues with women, and if we just knew the whole story on his and Dani's problems,it would probably stem from alot of what she has alluded to in his name calling of her in the past. But WHY???? is it acceptable for him to stand there and spew his garbage at his selected targets and if even one of them does the same to anybody else,it's looked at as wrong! So Jen spouts off to Dani about her "fling" w/Nick,so what? It should be fair game play according to what ED gets away with. And his is much, much worse and dirty, smutty personal attacking. I am so tired of the obvious double standard in the house. It's okay for the "crew" to sit in the HOH room and scheme and plot, but if Jen and Kail say two words, they are plotters???? All fair, people and it should be for them all.

I'm tired of Eric and he can go home for all I care! It's an experiment that BB tried and looks like it's failing miserably. I hate that they are feeding all this info to the guests to try and save this sinking ship. The "trick" was stupid,we really had no say or sway in this and it really tore it for me with Eric when he started in on Jen like he was ED Jr. If it was none of her business then what was it HIS business. I hate his filthy mouth and I'd be happy to see his butt on the block this week.JMO

Hi Jackie, Thanks for the update. I watched the show last night, but didn't know much else until reading your updates today.

Eric: I think there are two things that could happen that may save Eric. One is if something else..something huge...goes on and gets everyones mind off finding out about him. Barring that, he could use his spin talent and bring Dick into his confidence about it being his game plan to mess with people similar to the way Dick fixes the kitchen sink etc. You know, in other words tell Dick some big lie.

Robin, I hear you about Jen and Boogie. She wore her Janie gloves last night. But, I also wonder if Dick would know. Wouldn't his job (I forget what but remember the name dropping from the first shows) bring him into contact with the Boogie guys, too? I don't say he and Jen are working together, but wouldn't it be likely he knows something about her and Boogie?

Jamkea: She really presented a different side of herself last night. I have considered her the hg who was thinking out the game and concerned about those higher levels of competition...meaning integrity and remembering there will be life after the game. But, last night she came across as an airhead who couldn't put a total thought together...maybe just the nerves from being live. That always gets me, too, (he he he) they seem to forget it is live all the time.

Every season it is the same with me. I pick someone to like, try to support them, then as I get to 'know' them through the weeks, I come to dispise them and their actions.Sometimes it comes full circle and by the end I am back with the first hg I liked.

Kail: Her possible leaving voluntarily seems to have been settled, forgotten and now is ancient history. You know Amy from Next Food Network Star wanted to leave the comp and ended up winning.

Daniele: So far the HOH has gone to every HOH Head. I am still watching to see how the youngest in the house handles it. I wonder if she thought about giving a sympathy vote to Nick (as hg in the past have done). I think last night shows she is playing to win and is tough enough to get it done. If she had won the POV instead of Jameka (and she was close to doing that), the whole iced tea and Nick leaving wouldn't have happened. I guess it just wasn't preordained for her to win it. : ) Although she seems to think she can seperate personal time and game time in the house. And you can't.

Amber: Crying might bite her in the butt? Ya think? Actually it was her forehead she needs to worry about. The crying contortions made it look like that character on Star Trek the Next Generation.

Thanks Jackie, Sue

I think Eric is in deep doo doo! It's really a shame that banner incident happened, because he had them all going, except Dick did seem to be getting suspicious. Well this is what Daniele wanted, her chance to get rid of Jen - I hope she doesn't let anyone talk her out of putting her up.

"So much for the keep placing Kail on the hot seat...will rattle her too much to compete!!! The comp disproved that assumption."

Actually, not so much. It's not a fair comparison because Kail knew (thank you, Dustin) that she was NOT the target and therefore was not rattled like she had been the week before. ED even mentioned that she was too comfortable and knew she wasn't going home. He just didn't know that their very own HOH was the one who told her.

I guess once she decided not to push the DOR, she was ready to hang in there (pun intended) to keep herself safe. Dani's "promise" may not be the worth the paper it's not written on. Who knows...

I would think if Dani feels Eric was the other vote then she will put him up on the block. Also if it is being said Jen is being provided inside info & Dani know this she also will be put up. Jen is not Dani's favorite. Anything can take place with dackdooring! This will help Dani out with the deal she made with Kail. Being in the house may cause one not to think so clear.

If Eric goes up we will see him play hard for POV & take himself off. Maybe we will see Amber or Dustin go up on the block. I would love to see Amber leave. It would be good for the house and the viewers.

Don't rule out a special appearance of Vanna or the HG playing some type of spin off of the Wheel of Fortune.

Expect the unexpected...time will tell.

Does anyone know what happened with Eric's "I'd do that for a dollar" task? They never said if he accomplished it or not.

Isabelle said...

If they want to save Eric, maybe CBS should send another plane while the HG are outside, tell them not to look (knowing some will peek) and have a few things that are contrary to what the last banner said like: Trust Eric, Kail needs to go, make Amber stop crying, etc.

Anonymous said...

I don't want Eric to leave! He is my favorite houseguest!

Anonymous said...

Sue I said b4 Jen and ED may be in cahoots...ED is a bar manager, who is to say it is not for the Dolce group??? Stands to reason how she can take his crap and smirk about it!!! If was me he would be on the ground!!!

Eric's task was for 5 days, so that will probably be on Sunday's show. So Sun eve for 5 days is Fri (oops today), but I am not hearing it being said much.

Hamsterwatch says he has completed 7/10. So ka-ching $10,000 already.

I still say Jen needs to be backdoored...but we will see! I bet many hamsters will be terribly sore today...I bet we see many hot-tubbing to ease their pain. Also many requests for painkillers. IMAO

Wow -- I am totally surprised that Jessica ratted out Eric. SO much for their complete twosome for the entire time they've been in the house. Guess she has no sense of alliegence whatsoever to him.

I think Dick and Daniele being HOH this week is the worst possible outcome, unless they get someone weak like Amber out. OR maybe Kail. But at this point I'm rooting for Eric and even Jen to stay.

I thought that Eric could opt out and vote for who he wanted if it would endanger him in terms of staying in the game to vote how America wants.... Jackie --c an we confirm if that's true or not once and for all? Thanks for the usual GREAT job!

Anonymous said...

Sydney - that's a question I had last week, whether or not he had to follow what AmErica wants (hey we could call him Erica) or if he can vote how he wants. It always bothered me that he didn't get a chance to say his vote, and Julie just chatted about it and that it was a given to go with AmErica. I'd rather see him go in and say I vote to evict..... whether or not he had to go along with it.

Renee said...

I agree. The way Julie talks to him in the diary room doesn't seem like he's allowed to vote his own way. I don't like it!

Danielle is the LAST person i wanted to win. And Kial isnt the brightest crayon in the box. Why would she make a deal with the daughter of the man who hates her so much? Hope it doesnt come back to bite her, much like Amber's crying will! Its just beyond ridiculous now that she cries over everything.

want Eric to have Dick booted from the house because of all the crap he has been dishing.
He will tell Daniele that the only reason Jen is that way to her(Dani) is because of her father's way(rudeness) to Jen and if Dick was outof the house, Jen would be a much more pleasant person to get along with. - my prediction.

Personally, I think Jen had every right to say what she was saying during the HOH comp about Daniele. It was personal??? Duh, why is it that Dick can attack Jen on a personal level to try to shake her up, but when Jen tries to shake up her competition(Dani) she is blasted.
This season is a BIG bust and get a little sick of all the little goody two-shoes attitude.

I have a hard time believing that Dick and Jen are in an alliance. IF they may have spoken of it in the first few days becasue I'm sure he's been in Le Deux etc.., that would be one thing. But what in the world would make someone even with the earlier exhibited self esteem issues Jen had agree to be berated and bullied to this degree on national TV to "cover" for an alliance? Plus, have those watching the feeds or reading at Jokers hseen them talking or even winking or doing hand signals once in all these weeks in the house? I haven't.

The only genuine thing I can see in Dick is his total vulnerability to Daniele's every breath. Once she started having problems with Jen, there is no question who Dick would dropkick to serve Daniele's needs (and his own). If Daniele was evicted, who knows how things would shift, but I ain't buying a ED/Jen alliance just cuz they may have had a passing knowledge of each other in the club world.

I haven't seen the rules, or remember how it was said, but I thought Eric's vote was our vote. In other words, he doesn't get a vote. The tasks are his to complete toward his prize money, so he could choose not to do one of them, maybe. I don't know if he can even be HOH since he isn't really a hg. He is there to represent the audience. Unless he makes it so far, and then maybe he can compete as himself. As I said, all that is just what I thought was said and nothing based on fact. Sue

Ok I have a few comments... I wish Sho2 lasted all night because as it signed off, Eric was flipping out.

First question someone please confirm: Could Eric go to Dick & Co, and say I am the twist, with America's help we can get them out. Or is he to remain anonymous? I tend to think he is not to say a word, and when they really figure out he is the twist PLUS getting money for it, he can hang it up. It's a shame because I like to watch Jessica and Eric, they are really funny together.

Next: Internet rumors are flying around that Janelle from BB6 and BB7 sent the banner plane. Anyone confirm this? She is from MN thus rooting for Nick and the comment of the Nerd Herd. I don't see that group anything like the Nerd Herd since they keep running to Kail and/or Jen and telling them their plan.

Amber and Jameka are really starting to irritate the bejesus out of me. I think at some point Amber's crying is forced and she makes herself cry. She looks like a 3 year old not getting her way. Who ever is prescribing her medication: Dude, she needs a serious dose of an antidepessant cocktail. That is not normal.

Daniele doesn't have to hold her word to Kail-- she said she wouldn't go home, not put her up, and we all remember when Kaysar caved and what's her name nominated him anyway.

I agree Sho2 is like crack for me, especially after a day like yesterday happens. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are pretty boring, but if I got the feeds I would get nothing done.

PS: My husband told me I got him get addicted to this show-- wah, I got him hooked last summer when we were engaged. He was just mad because he couldn't stay up last night AND he's so happy that Dick is saying something about Jen's weird eye.

Thanks Jackie!!!

I'm rooting for Zack! I don't care that the HG find him creepy and annoying...I see him as just akward but he tries so hard to get the others to like him......

I think the other HG are annoying and I can't stand to watch any of them.....sheesh....I hope Dick & Danielle did make an alliance with him...no one would suspect it.

Wow! You guys are sharp today!

Sue – “Every season it is the same with me. I pick someone to like, try to support them, then as I get to 'know' them through the weeks, I come to dispise them and their actions. Sometimes it comes full circle and by the end I am back with the first hg I liked.” Happens to me every year, too! Getting to know someone in the BB house is like a 3-year relationship compressed to 3 months. Think what would happen to your real-life relationships if you had a 24-hour live feed or transcript of the person.

Patty – “Don't rule out a special appearance of Vanna or the HG playing some type of spin off of the Wheel of Fortune.” Now that would be good TV! I’d like to see Vanna visit, just to see Dick kiss up to her (which I’m sure he would.)

Kitch06 - “Does anyone know what happened with Eric's "I'd do that for a dollar" task? They never said if he accomplished it or not.” CBS is so poor with following through on the details of their “twists.” Shouldn’t they be announcing on the show the status of America’s Player tasks? Shouldn’t we know all the rules, like can Eric decide to go against America’s vote? Can he be HOH?

Isabelle - ” If they want to save Eric, maybe CBS should send another plane while the HG are outside, tell them not to look (knowing some will peek) and have a few things that are contrary to what the last banner said like: Trust Eric, Kail needs to go, make Amber stop crying, etc.” Excellent idea! But way too clever for the BB producers. They’re busy fixing the endurance comp bird poop machine.

Jeffro - ” why is it that Dick can attack Jen on a personal level to try to shake her up, but when Jen tries to shake up her competition(Dani) she is blasted.” Amen! Preaching to the choir, brother! (Sorry, but God is so gangsta, I can’t help myself. I mean to say I totally agree with your thought there.)

Still rooting for Jen. I like the way she stands up for herself, doesn’t seem to take the game personally (which all of the others do), and laughs in the face of Dick’s tirades and taunts.

Go Jenbot :>

If they want to take the heat off Eric....send a banner plane saying the Dick & Kail have an alliance....then wait another day send another banner plane saying that Jameka is playing pranks....they will all talk and then assume all banners including the first one were just bull crap. and then Eric will be off the hook.

Anonymous said...

If they sent a banner saying trust Eric...would you?

Anonymous said...

My opinion Eric's feeling a tremendous backlash, prior plane banner display - more so immediately following, HG's today whom have knowledge amongst previous BB season's should be aware ( an individual having taken time, funds and effort to display a banner ) overall following BB reunions 90% former HG's all agreed, If only they had taken into consideration banner messages, realizing various plane messages were generally correct, they felt banners way of intending to reveal outside details, whether alliances would have changed that's unknown, however it could also have been a distraction, its about reading between the lines, adding various incidents placing them between those empty lines, I believe Dick probably has, he may recall previous banners which were sent. I'll send a banner message for you Jackie, LOL..

Hello all ~ This whole game is getting very confusing. Eric has not been "on the block" even once. How come? Do these HGs think he's a piece of furniture? How can they overlook Eric's weirdness and (especially Dick)overlook Amber sitting with her legs splayed out and bawling all the time and not say a word about her inappropriate behavior. How the heck has she escaped being nominated to boot out? What if Eric ends up being the last guy in the house? Will he win the big prize? I already miss Nick. He was one of my favorite players. I liked Mike too. We're gonna end up with a blubbering, snot-sucking whiner and an insulting turd with red polka dotted hair, piercings and tattoos!! It's happened a couple of times in the past that we've concentrated on voting out the strong players and left the slugs to win!!

Amber is the biggest phoney of the whole bunch. Her and her crocodile tears and telling everyone "Oh, I love you so much." I am sick of her whining ways and all the tears. There is nothing sincere about her. The sooner she goes, the better.

Deanna said...

It was interesting to see the events that led to Daniele chewing out Jen and then Dick pouring the ice tea on Jen. Dick and Jen got into in the room and Jen wasn't so cool at keeping her temper there and appeared to be egging Dick on in hopes that he would hit her or something... Then Jen pissed at the moment w/ Dick went into the bathroom and said something to Daniele in regards to how she felt sorry for Daniele having to grow up with Dick as a dad. IMO, that girl had no right to jab at Daniele and instead needed to take her frustrations out on the man who pissed her off. So a couple minutes later when Daniele confronted Jen on her rudeness, Dick IMO had every right to get involved, he had just had an argument w/ the wench a couple minutes before and here she was acting as if she was above everyone in her morals**gagging on her lies**, and Dick was fed up. I love how he didn't apologize... Why should he??

On another note, Im really beginning to think that with Jen's chilltown connection she was only put on the show because of it. Much like the way "Boogie" was put on All-stars even though he didn't do good in his season and nobody even liked him. Jen claims she applied for Survivor and they put her on BB instead and she says she never really watched BB, but she has obviously been schooled on the happenings. I think once again, BB was bullied into putting a chilltown member into the house. Good move BB... Uggg!

Deanna, you're so wrong! DICK has been gunning for Jen since week one. She doesn't egg him on. She ignores him most of the time. Her telling Dani that she felt bad for her wasn't at all insulting to Dani. It was insulting to Dick and he had NO RIGHT to pour iced tea on her. He stepped WAYYYY over the line, as he usually does. And this is coming from a former Dick fan. I don't know how anyone can defend his actions.

Anonymous said...

If you keep your mind open to the whole picture, it's not so difficult to defend Dick.

I don't believe they have ever been exposed to any form of abuse in their lives, because if they have they would not be defending him on a contious basis.
