Forgive my Adventures of Alice in Wonderland moment as well as being a bit late with this report, please!
Here's the skinny from inside that Big Brother House of Despicable Despots and Monster Shouters:
- Daniele cried and whined to anyone who would listen about how rough it's been for her to be blamed for all of her father's volatile actions and words.
- Eric made another comment (not to Daniele or Evel Dick) about Daniele having Dick's baby. What the hell is wrong with him?
- Jessica and Eric don't think Amber has any chance of winning any competitions because she hasn't done well on one yet.
- With his LNC Minions about him, Dustin complained about Daniele's "pity party" and deemed her unhappiness all her own fault.
- The LNC Remainders think that Zach threw the POV comp because it was things he should be good at -- croquet and drinking large amounts of disgusting liquids.
- As they all plan to stay in the HOH room, Eric mentions that they're probably being compared to the Nerd Herd from Season 6. "No way!" says Amber. Ha, way!
- Evel Dick wants to try to cause problems between Eric and Dustin.
- Daniele and Dick talked about how Zach threw the comp and how funny it is that the others think he really tried. @@
- Jameka removed the braids she put in Amber's ghetto-fabulous hair the other day.
- Zach, Daniele, Eric, and Jessica played Beer Pong, a drinking game.
- HG from both sides of the fence tried to figure out what kind of businesses Kail really owns.
- Of course, they have no clue that she practically owns her town! ;-)
- Dick told Jameka that she went too far when she made comments about his mother and daughter. That showed him what kind of person she is.
- After basically just staring at Dick as he talked, she reported the conversation to King of Queens Dustin.
- Then Dick started on Dustin again, not as bad as early in the morning.
- Jameka told Amber she likes Dustin, doesn't quite trust Eric although she'd like him outside of the house, and thinks Zach is a phony.
- Amber told Jameka that she hates Evel Dick. No kidding! I think the feeling's mutual there.
- Dustin thinks Evel Dick is jealous of him because he's "got a group."
- Amber wants to be an inspirational speaker. (No, I'm not making these things up!)
- Dustin doesn't think Dick will use the veto to save Daniele. (I think he will. Even if he doesn't want to, I think he'll feel obligated to use it on her for father/daughter reasons.)
- Dustin offered to go up as a pawn. (That would be an incredibly foolish move, but we'll see.)

I really can not understand Eric's sense of humor....if that is what he is attempting, with all of his comments about Dick and Dani sleeping together. Where is he getting this stuff? He really needs to think BEFORE he speaks. Sick. I think I have a pretty good sense of humor, some might even call me funny, but jokes about incest and child molestation I just don't get. They don't make me laugh, they make me nauseous. Please! Make him stop!
I know that Dick thinks the biggest mistake in BB history was when Marcellas didn't take himself off the block after winning POV and then got the boot. Dick has very different and personal reasons if he were to take his daughter off the block and then go home. However, he may beable to talk to Jessica (the only person in the house he hasn't trashed) and get her to someone else up and keep Daniele safe. Stranger things have happened. This could be another roller coaster week than a too predictable one.

so i have learned that according to BB standards...physical abuse is prohibited on the show (because BB could get itself sued and in trouble..not because of a concern for an HG ) but verbal abuse from any of them is acceptable because it will bring in ratings and in turn fill their ( BB) wallets. way to make a statement, CBS

Therefore, I wish America's Player did keep harping on this Incest kick about Dani and Dick. It is disturbing and sick. As AP, I think he should be more careful than the others about the garbage he spews. Talking about incest is not game play or strategy, it is just plain disturbing and vile.

Many commenters have said that they would rather support Dick because at least he makes his comments to your face, whereas, Eric says them behind your back. I have thought about this and decided FOR ME I would rather have these things said behind my back. I think Eric is joking and trying to impress the LNC.
Dick is serious about his comments and has so much rage in him that he needs to be evicted before he explodes. Let him go to sequester and destroy that house. I think Dick is really a bully. I remember in the beginning, before the show actually started, the ads for BB8 was about bullies in the house. I also got a weird feeling while watching Dick comfort his daughter, one time on BB afer dark. He was rubbing her leg. I just really got a weird feeling. I only brought this up now because of all the stuff Eric is saying. I don't know whether it is true or not, hopefully not. I am just stating my opinon. Thanks for the great site Jackie I love it.

Do you think BB will follow in Survivor's footsteps and have a final three? I think three is great for these types of shows because, unless the best person wins Immunity or HOH, they usually don't make the final two - no one wants to sit beside them at the end.

bb dick fan - in the Alice in Wonderland story she meets up with a caterpillar sitting on a giant mushroom smoking a Hookah (a large water pipe). I believe the chess set comes into the story when she meets up with the Queen of Hearts but I could be wrong on this one as it has been way too many years since I last read Alice in Wonderland. Not sure on the "coup 'de' tat" though.

I'm sitting here snapping about 18 lbs of green beans for canning and had a thought...
Why doesn't BB make the HG's do something for the less fortunate? They could can vegetables for the food pantries in the Los Angeles area. They could make care packages for the homeless. If they have any crafting experience, they could put that to good use making those cute little hats for newborns that the hospitals give out. There are numerous things they could do to help out.
While they're doing their good deeds, they can sit around and bash each other...but at least it would be productive bashing!

There are many connections to the books and the BB house, it is a good theme and could educate viewers if it sends them to reference aids to see how the author used both friends and those he didn't like as inspiration for characters. It seems to me that most participants of reality shows are looking for their 15 minutes and possibly a contract landing them in the entertainment industry. A few might actually think they can win the prize money but most just seem to want the exposure to help their "career." Unlike the contestants on "Do You Think You Can Dance?" where ALL of them are very talented and could get jobs dancing in Hollywood as a result of their exposure, the BB houseguests are, for the large part, forgettable. That being said, I wonder if someone like Amber will experience difficulty when she rejoins the real world as a result of the things she has said and done on BB8. Do any posters know of former HGs from previous seasons that created havoc in the house only to find their real world lives a living hell once they got out?

As for the HGs, Eric was the wrong choice for America's Choice...Period. There is something wrong with a person who accuses another of incest. His mind is plainly warped. He needs to GO!!
I "think" there is more to Dick, than meets the eyes of the viewers. Although, he is quite rough around the edges, I think he can be a nice guy if the occasion arises.
Amber, simply put, is nuts! Anyone who would appear on a show such as BB, and cries constantly over nothing, is plain psycho! Zack is just a big Mama's boy, who likes to eat, drink and stare at people. He is an odd duck to say the least.

Just so everyone knows I remember this from college. Lewis Caroll write Alice in Wonderland for a one of his freinds daughters. He was quite devoted to the girl and became so enamored of her that her parents decided to sever all ties with him because of it. I'm not saying he was a child molester but more of her as being his muse like Beatrice was Dante's muse. Anyway it was Victorian England and her parents thought it was somewhat unseemly for a grown man to be so interested in their daughter and this might be where Eric is getting all the child molestation and incest stuff.

I'm just so disappointed with this season. I've come to the conclusion that Dick will most likely pull Daniele off the chopping block(unless she threatens him not to) & that he will be leaving this week :( So, who do I now pick as my favorites? I'm going to have to hope for Daniele & Zack as the final two. Zack is a bit odd, but seems very sweet & smart about the game.
I'm still hoping that they are stupid enough to put Dustin up & that Jen & Zack are smart enough to vote him out. It probably won't happen that way, but a girl can wish....

WHAT is ERIC'S obsession with INCEST??? As many have said, it is not funny and I don't know what he is trying to accomplish by discussing it repeatedly with his fellow "teammates". Hearing that would turn me against Eric IF I were in his group.
Again, does his ongoing focus with incest come from some personal experience?? Could that be possible? I simply cannot think of any other reason for this particular ranting.
As far as ANON/Karen's concern with Dick rubbing Danielle's leg. I saw that too and IMO nothing inappropriate ever crossed my mind.
I am glad Eric is not my son and unless they are a bit twisted, his parents should be ashamed of his obsession/focus on a very nasty subject.
On another angle, if I was in Danielle's position and Eric made those comments, he would have a angry husband to deal with when he got out.
I hope he stops and he is making alot of enemies across America particularly those harmed by such actions.

Hey Jackie -- Don't know if you've been to visit Hamsterwatch but they're closing the site. Said BB's being too much manupilated by producers, that it's become a house of hate and is just not any fun... and the HG (with rare exception) and CBS has gone too far.
I'm stunned but also kind of feeling a little validated. Because what I've been feeling the last few weeks is not an isolated experience.
For the first time in 8 seasons I've had to take breaks from watching the show. As many have said, the fun here made it worthwhile. But I've recently opted out of participating here more often than not as things progressed into a different tone and form.
A VERY differerent experience for me, as you know I'm a loyal daily reader/supporter and commenter for all the shows you cover year round, and who's made several friends here. Initially I addressed it as positively as I could, posting one of the initial comments on how interesting it can be to read all the different points of view in one place. But it's been a struggle the last few weeks.
I give you A LOT of credit for wading through all this with us-- what if YOU wanted to take a break from the show or close down!!!- and for trying to navigate this forum through a few rocky moments due to this nutty TV show. The ship seems to be resetting it's course here, even if the show may not and I'm glad.
I look forward to the fun or thought provoking contributions of all, but I'm wishing for TAR, Survivor, Nip/Tuck, Dancing with the Stars and even the Bachelor to hurry up and get on the air. Those might bring my blood pressure down!
I think she was using the candy bars to count weeks and keep track of who was HOH, had POV, got evicted etc. Dick responded to her something about it being easier than counting on fingers. ~SharonS

That seemed major to me and yet I haven't seen it reported, so figured I got it wrong. Very easy for me to do. : ) Sue
I guess another thing that really,really bothers me,is that NONE of the others that hear him(E) spewing these things from his mouth even say a word about any of it. That does not sit well with me and I'd expect somebody to stand up and tell him to shut his mouth,that that isn't cute or funny or appropriate. It's not a good sign if you sit by and just let these offensive things go on,then you become part of the problem as well.The same with ED's remarks. Where's the outrage or at least the raising of an objection to that kind of filth.I really wanted somebody to step up and defend Jen at some point. She didn't deserve what he stood and screamed in her face at times.
Sydney - Although I love That Dingo to death, she's always been a grassy knoll, threatening to give up kind of site. Perhaps moreso this season, but she's always gone there a bit. I don't totally agree or disagree with her. I'm somewhere in the middle. It's hard to maintain a forum especially with the dissent from commenters and such.
I'm discouraged with the season, but I don't think CBS is doing much more than trying to steer the train wreck a bit -- it happens every season. It's just that this season some of the HG are much more outrageous than some other seasons.
Me? I don't get all that caught up in the drama. If people want to be incredibly stupid on national television, that's their own stupidity. Nothing really surprises me. But I don't have to deal with any of the HG in my "real life" and it's my real life and personal values which mean more to me than a bunch of so-and-so's on a reality TV show.
THIS IS WHAT I WANT....
I want Danielle to be evicted BEFORE Dick. After Julie announces "You have one minute to say your good byes," I want the other HGs to rush up to Danielle and give long, hogging, Dick-blocking hugs to Danielle...So that Dick CAN'T even get in a hug.
Mean? Yes...but Paybacks are hell!

You know things have gone south when I am now cheering for Jen. I once thought Dick was fun and honest, now you all know how I feel -- the things that come out of his mouth (and others' also, don't get me wrong) completely disgust me and have me reaching for the remote. Don't these people realize people are watching? Their families? Friends? Employers? News organizations? I really miss the days of strategy....this open screaming and nastiness is just unacceptable. YUCK!!
The bright spot is Jackie, giving up her time to actually listen to it all. Your posts here and over at TV Squad are the only positive things about the season!

What this tells us is letting america choose and having an america's player doesn't work out in the long run....I think you have to be there to understand what these people are really like...anywho...just my opinion...yet again...

I do think Jessica is the most sane of them all.
Last by not least... I LOVE THIS WEBSITE. It sure does give you the REAL picture of what is going on in the house not what they choose to show on tv. It is a shame that most comments are negative but there isn't much positive to say.

I need to do something than leave negative comments regarding negative happenings in the BB hours. So I will try Jackie's earlier challenge with the remaining houseguests:
Amber: will never suffer from dry eye syndrome
Danielle: beautiful flawless skin
Dick: nice tatoos if you are into them
Dustin: well? good house cleaner?
Eric: America may be too hard on him for his comments; perhpas he is a victim himself and this is his way of coming out
Jameka: knows God when she needs to
Jen: calm and cool
Jessica: cute
Zach: rarely has anything negative to say about anyone
I was a fan of JEN or ZACH in the beginning but after all the HOOP-LA (spelling?) from the other HGs, they probably deserve the money more than anyone else.

Nana in the NW: It sure seems that you are trivializing Eric's incest comments by saying you think he is joking. Incest is in no way a funny subject and no one with an ounce of good sense or any morals at all would think it funny. There are so many other things Eric could joke about concerning ED. For him to repeat it again shows even more what a disgusting perverse mind he has.

As always, I am with you!!! Not surprising at all... I have always said that I pull back when it gets a bit vicious and personal, and that happened earlier in the season than normal this year. I find myself skipping through the comments and cherry picking what I choose to read.
I vote that we spend some time this week on the SYTYCD Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday season finale!! This season has been fun, and the kids are just uber talented!
I guess you know what I will be watching on Thursday... I can get the BB8 news right here!

I feel like my day is missing something important if I don't come here to check out the blog and read all your opinions...at least 2-6 times. ;) Thanks Jackie for giving us all the details throughout the day and evening.
Amber is still delusional about everything including herself. I'm so disappointed in Jameka who I thought was the only one with any common sense and composure in the house. Using her religion to justify her actions is hard to watch. Eric's foul mouth is almost as bad as ED. I expected Dick to be a dick but Eric is again very disappointing. I don't think I'm going to believe that ED will use his POV to take Dani off the block until I see it. It's probably going to kill him to do what most of us expect a loving and unselfish father to do, especially one who's trying to mend a broken relationship. We'll see.
As far as Jen is concerned, she fits right in with Boogie and his crowd. BTW, I saw Boogie on the Chelsea Handler show the other night. He was on with two others as a panel to offer commentaries on entertainment issues. He didn't have anything interesting to say and didn't contribute much to the segment. He was boring as all heck without his mentor, Dr. Will.

YES Dla-- that's a great idea, I have been missing SYTYCD reports. Maybe if nothing more we who are going to watch that can check in here on the night with comments even if it's on the latest BB update!

This has been by far the worst BB. Eric isn't americas player. He's CBS's player. When they seen their little player was in trouble and started swaying players to basically not vote him out, they crossed the line. CBS will do whatever means necessary to protect their little weasel. Not one time have they called him out for talking about incest. Yet they give Dick a warning for saying things to Dustin.
Amber an Inspirational Speaker? OMG!!!! Too funny! The way she and Jameka uses God as their crutch is absolutely pathetic. You don't talk such vulgar talk and cuss like there's no tomorrow then pray to God when it's all said and done only to do it again a few minutes later. They think that's good christian behavoir?
