'So You Think You Can Dance' - Live Results Show - 8/02 East Coast Updates

The show has started here on the East Coast. I'll be doing quick updates on important happenings as they air.

Stay tuned.

So far it's only been the whole group dance, then solos by the girls. Now the guys are doing their solos Still no announcement of the bottom listing.

Sara is in the bottom two girls, Lacey is safe. Lauren joins Sara in the bottom two, Sabra is safe (as she should be!).

Danny is safe, Neil is in the bottom two guys. Pasha is safe, Dominic joins Neil in the bottom two guys.

One Republic is performing "Apologize."

Sara is going home tonight. Dominic is going home, too. He really did so much better than I thought he would this season!

I'll be fine as long as Sabra remains in the competition. That girl is amazing!

The girl in the blue dress blew the other girls solos away!

PS: I've developed a mad crush on Pasha. Anyone with me on that one?

The boys all killed it... Danny was great, Pasha dominated! Neal is adorable but he does do the same kind of solo all the time.

The boys solos were far better than the girls (although I think this is the first time Lacey and maybe Sabra had to do a solo).

I've loved Pasha from the beginning. He has a great attitude, seems a little more mature than the others, and is a total professional in his behavior. And it doesn't hurt that he is mega HOT! Love the cape, LOL.

I think Lauren and Dom will be leaving, although it could be Sara.

Fingers crossed for Pasha (although his phone line was busy last night, so I don't think I have to worry.)

Go Pasha!

Sydney - I like Pasha's personality even more than his dancing!

Neil reminds me of a blond Kevin from The Wonder Years - Fred Savage.

I did a mild Amber during MIA's routine about her and her father's reunion in heaven.I was crying.
But at least I had a better reason: I also lost my Dad a few years ago and my mother less than 2 years ago. I was Soooo close to both of my parents.

That dance, I admit , had me in tears.

Mia's choreographed routine was so touching. For all who have lost one of their parent; or a loved one, that was very moving.
I got rather teary as my dad also has passed on.

I'm so bummed cause I wanted the two that stayed to go home. It's hard to see any of them go now,but I absolutely LOVED Sarah and I thought Dom outdid every expectation of him.I,too, thought the girls were really weak, especially Lacey and Lauren. I could just watch Danny spin all night long and I love Pasha and his smile!

I was on pins and needles until Cat said Danny was safe! I felt bad for Sarah, I think it should have been Lauren going home. I do think it was Dominic's time to go, but he should be very proud of his accomplishments on the show. Only one more cut before the finals - I hope the next two to go are Lauren and Neil.

I love watching “So You Think You Can Dance” because it embodies the love of dance. It is evident that every judge, choreographer and almost every contestant truly loves to dance and that makes this show so fascinating. However, and Danny-lovers out there, please understand, I think Danny is an amazing dancer. But I think he lacks the “love of dance”. He is perfect in technique because he wants to be the best. But I really believe he has no understanding of human emotions, sympathy, empathy, etc and only pretends to feel emotion when he dances and when he listens to the judges’ critiques. That’s why I think the national TV-watching audience and the voters cannot connect with him on a visceral level like we can with the other dancers. When he was up against Neil last night and he was voted to continue, he ran off the stage without any word or gesture to Neil. Only after he ran a few steps, do I believe he thought to himself “uh oh, that was not a good response, I better run back and pretend like I care about the other dancers”. I don’t mean this to be harsh; it’s just how I see him. He is an excellent dancer and I love to watch his leaps and spins and technique but his dancing is so cold.
Benji last year was the embodiment of “America’s favorite dancer” because with every dance he performed, he was exuberant and allowed us, the audience to feel his exuberance. Dominic and Pasha also bring that joie de vivre to the stage but Sabra is the embodiment of joy. She kills everything she does and makes us love her. I initially wanted Lacey to win because she’s so cute, such a good dancer and Benji’s sister. And I wanted Danny to excel because he was Travis’ brother. But Lacey I think is getting a bit cocky and it seems like she’s not trying as hard as before because she feels like she doesn’t have to. Neil, as cute as he is and as accomplished, is still a bit immature in that he doesn’t quite connect with his partners emotionally but I think he will in time because he’s so sweet. Lauren is amazing too but still very raw and young and just needs experience. Pasha is fantastic and seems to also rise up to every challenge. So there you go, I’d like to see Sabra and Pasha in the finals with Sabra winning, but I think it will be Sabra and Danny and I hope Sabra wins.
