'So You Think You Can Dance' - Season Finale - East Coast Updates

This post is going to be more the major news than outright blogging. I had to record the first hour due to Big Brother 8. But I wanted to get it started so folks can jump in with their thoughts in the comments area.

I will most definitely be posting the winner, so c'mon back! It seems that no news has been announced, group dances and couples dancing seem to be what's happening.

Whoops, there goes Lacey! She's not going to win and has been eliminated.

Neil has been eliminated.

Cat and Nigel cheated using the JibJab widget. I'll have to post the link one of these days.

The competition is now between Sabra and Danny, both worthy dancers, indeed!

SABRA WINS!

I love Danny, but love Neil's style more. That said, I think Sabra will probably win, and deservedly so. I'm kind of glad Lacey didn't. I kind of thought she was over-rated.

Sorry, Jackie. If I remember correctly, you wanted Neil for the win.

Nah, I was a Hok fan, but always said I thought Danny was the best male dancer and Sabra the best female. So I'm sitting pretty right now. :-)

Thank you, though.

I think all 4 of them are amazing and would have been happy to see anyone win. Pasha was my favorite, for his personality and because I'm a big fan of Latin ballroom, but they have all impressed me with their hard work and great attitudes. This show is really a class-act in the world of reality tv and I hope it gets recognized at the Emmy's.

I wish they were coming to my city on tour, but unfortunately not. Good luck to Danny and Sabra! And to all of the great posters here (insert Mary scream), see you next year on the Hot Tamale train! (insert second Mary scream here)

Congrats to Sabra...nobody can be sad that she won. To think that she has been doing this for only four years is totally amazing!

I loved Danny too and was glad that he placed above Neil, but they were all great! Lacey was wonderful and very, very adaptable and she did some amazing dances. And I have to say that my favorite got knocked out earlier, that was Sarah and I was just blown away by her. She seemed to have a lot of the favorite dances tonight and it was so good to see her. Oh,I had too many favorites this time!!
Great job to them all and thanks for so many nights of amazing(there's that word again...lol)dancing!!!

Hi everyone!

I strugged with the temptation to take a peak prior to airing on the West Coast, and couldn't resist...

I was pulling for either Danny or Sabra, and was hoping that Lacey didn't get the "W", so all is good!

They will all be successful, and it is refreshing to see a female winner this year to mix it up a bit.

Clementine, I will see you back here on the HOT TAMALE TRAIN!!!
(I am still covering my ears!! lol)

I am so happy that Sabra won. All four finalists were great but Sabra was the shining star. She had the least experience but the most heart. She always put her all in every routine and even shone in the Wade Robson peace dance routine and stood out because of her passion and commitment to the piece. If you go to her Myspace page she is playing John Mayer on her media player.

This was a fabulous season and I am so happy it is picked up for next year.

Jackie,

Thank you for all you do!!

We so appreciate that you found the time (somewhere!) to keep up with the highlights of SYTYCD, as well!

This is such a refreshingly honest show, and please know that we appreciate ALL you do for us!! ;)

Lauren was my favorite all along but since she wasn't even in the final four I'm glad Sabra won. They are all great though and I knew I would be happy with whoever won.

well I had to go out tongiht and recorded BB* but missed this show... however, I knew from watching last night that it wowuld come down to Danny and Sabra and Sabra would win.

If only I could be so right spot on next time I buy a lottery ticket!

I have been getting Ticketmaster ads for the tour and they are coming to Houston ... This group was so extremely talented I would actually go but I will be on my honeymoon when they're here. If they looked that amazing on a TV screen imagine how it must be to see them perform right in front of your eyes.

I'm certain they'll all do well and I'm thrilled for Sabra.

Oh and I loved the dance with the Lion King music tonight! At least it wasn't the zombie dance again,I could go a long time without seeing that or another variation of it! Just went to see the Lion King in downtown last week for my hubby's birthday. If you've never seen it on stage.......go,it is fabulous!!!

I only caught up with this show when I was visiting some friends in LA in the beginning of July and my hostess wanted to watch it. Since then I have watched every show! I was so glad the finale revisited great performances because then I could watch favorite routines I had seen and favorites I WISH I had seen earlier in the season. What a great result! (One of my favorites: Hip Hip Chin Chin -- I think that's the name of the piece -- with Danny and Lacey.)

I did vote for Sabra to win, but with the talent of this final four, they will have so many opportunities in the future!

Jackie, thanks for all of your hard work...as always!!

Also -- Sydney, congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Magnificent! Outstanding! and any other word you can come up with that would describe Sabra!

I would have also used Awesome, but that word is so overused and she was even better than awesome!

Either of the 4 could have won and I would have been happy, but Sabra was the favorite.

Thanks so much Jackie for following this show for us as well. I actually saved the last two episodes, cause I'm gonna miss it now that it's over. At least I'll be able to go back and watch a few of the dances from time-to-time.

Sydney...how many honeymoons do you get to go on. I'm jealous. Oh, I forgot, I'd have to get married to go on a honeymoon.

Okay, I'll stop sulking because my Danny didn't win. Congrats to Sabra! If Danny couldn't win, then I'm glad it was Sabra. This was such an entertaining show, I'll miss it until next season.
