'Big Brother 8' - Live Feeds Through Monday 9/10 So Far

Jameka is sitting in the HOH room with Zach watching the spy screen. She's developed Eric Eyes. What's up with that? She looks guilty and sneaky like she's shoplifting a poodle or something.

Zach, on the other hand, watches with somber determination, yet with a smidgen of defeat in his eyes.

In other news from that Big Brother House of Supercilious Sycophants:
  • Evel Dick and Daniele trashtalked Zach to each other in the early morning hours.
  • They say it's chilly in California. (It's hot and muggy here in the NYC area -- blech.)
  • Throughout the day, they all tried memorizing events, fellow houseguest facts, and such in case one of the parts of the HOH comp deals with them.
  • Heh. As I was typing this, Jameka was trying to do math about the houseguests helping Zach and all the BB voice said was, "Jameka, knock it off!" She jumped back. "That's illegal? It's illegal? I was only trying to use the tools you've provided us."
  • Zach told Jameka he's determined to go for the grand prize -- $500,000.
  • "Mmm. Mmm? Mmm." <-- insert Jameka canned response.
  • Daniele thinks it's odd that BB hasn't said anything about the POV Ceremony. (It's usually held around 5 PM their time on Mondays and the POV gets called to the DR beforehand.)
  • Daniele suggested it might be held tomorrow on the live show (so they've been told the show is live). Dick doesn't want it to be live because he has an Dick-Intimidation Speech all ready and won't be able to do it on live TV.
  • Dick thinks that BB changed the whole show schedule because the game's "all played out." (You would think a fan of the show like he and others are in the house would realize that the show NEVER ends the last week of September! Each year the HG think the show is a week longer than it is. It must be the date on the contract they sign or something.)
  • Daniele thinks they (Donatos) have had an advantage in the game because they've had each other in the house. Dick doesn't think they've had any disadvantage.
  • Zach is seriously studying dates, times, people, objects in the house ... with Jameka quizzing him and coming up with subject matter for more studying.
  • Will it help? Maybe.

A bit of insight into Dick. It might surprise you .... or maybe not. :)

I just went to the site you put referred us to.
Dick is a strange bird, but I do believe he is sincere.
I have been burned in the past and can sometimes see why he rants to others on the show like he does.
Many times I have yelled, screamed, cursed and just said aweful things to people I care about because I wanted it my way or was really pissed off.

I do think that Dick is a true compassionate person when he wants to be. WE ALL CAN.

Final thought....
GO D&D

jackie, what, if anything are the houseguests allowed to go into the house with - not clothes and toothpaste and stuff, but are they allowed a personal item? is the bible always there, or does someone always bring one in?

i'm rooting for dick and danielle, moreso dick, becuase in essence, he is the one, no matter how much ranting and raving he did, who actually played the game. if he lied or broke promises, heck, that's what the entire game is based on year after year.

I'm wondering what everyone's thought on this new kid reality show (Kidnation) is. Jackie, will you be blogging it?

referring back to the last post that has 160 or so comments:

joe in ny - i'll have a blogmance with you, i like younger men :) - just kidding, my husband was born in schenectedy & grew up in NJ - anyways, i like your long winded comments, because you obviously spend a lot of time thinking about the strategies & play them out from different angle, i don't even know who was HOH when Amber was sent packing, & i waited for her to leave since the first show !! You are a great strategist, but then again, you are coming from a hindsight perspective

I hated Dicks strategy, the way he talked to everyone & the tea incident, etc, but i have to say at least he played the game !! he was really the only one who was always thinking about the game, & thinking ahead, & strategizing. Because of that, i think he should win

Danielle was great in comps, but she really had no other strategy, except what Dick told her, so I don't think she should win

Zack, i think if he pulls off the final HOH & wins, then it will at least look like he played the game when he needed to - maybe a few days later than he should have, but again, it will be a hindsight opinion

I think the little rough spot everyone had with joe & orkmommy & some others, got smoothed over just fine, & everyone loves everyone else, & we didn't even need mommy jackie to break it up !!

good job hamsters... i mean bloggers :)

Unfortunately I can see why he rants like he does too. The difference is that I realized what it does to the one you're ranting at. Nobody should ever yell, scream or curse at another person like he does. Nobody should say the awful things like that to anybody. Words do hurt, whether you try to let them or not. I've driven important people away because I couldn't hold my temper. These days, when I feel like I'm gonna lose it, I take a step back and ask myself if it's really worth it. Most of the time, it's not!

barbwire said...

hi, babydoll (orkmommy) - the difference is that they are playing a game for a half million bucks !! the survivor motto is outwit outplay outlast - any anything goes - winning a half million bucks in a game like this isn't going to be easy, or nice

Jackie S. said...

Anon - They only get personal items in the HOH basket -- other that that, none. Each season the only book allowed in the house is a Bible and someone brings one. Kaysar was allowed his Koran and praying rug.

Barbwire - I was born in Troy and my father worked in Schenectady when I was very young. I'm in NJ now. (NJ - Where only the strong survive!)
:P

My father in law worked for GE before he died in 86 i think, so they moved around the east coast as he moved up the ladder, but they moved to north central NJ in the 60's, when it was still "out in the country"

i just read on jokers that Danielle said she was bored, & Dick told her to go play with Zack & she said she would rather chew off her arm & beat him with it - oh, what a pretty girl

Anonymous said...

According to my math and Dick's writings Dani was six years old while daddy dearest was traveling to Greece, Rome, etc etc etc where he met his future wife, whom he married on the beach at Maui. They has a high, literally, always drunk, old time for eight years and she dumped him. Maybe Dani feels he was a selfish guy to "get on with his life" ignoring the reality of having children rather than being one. Dick feels his having children caused the breakup of his marriage...maybe Dani feels his children should have been a priority. Maybe she's right even though she's a brat. Maybe Dick's anger is based on his inner rage at losing a woman he loved.

My Lord, speaking of Survivor what if it met the Twilight Zone and somehow we magically transformed these house guests onto Survivor.

Out in the middle of nowhere, with no food, eating maggots, trying to make fire, sitting the rain.

I can see Dani now staring blankly off into space sying This sucks this sucks this sucks this sucks thsi sucks over and over and over again.

Amber wiping her tears on leaves

Dick running around going ALL NATIVE on their butts complete with face paint made from coconut milk and sand. Maybe a few toucan feathers in his hair.

Dustin prancing around in a crown made of banana leaves and a cape of those bushy things they use for the roofs of their huts.

Eric's shifty eyes could easily be explained there. He's looking out for rabid wildebeasts.

Someone getting eating by a lion and Jameka saying it was God's plan all along because God is gangsta. (I love that by the way. God is gangsta.)

Jen bouncing around in a palm leaf unitard and talking about how much she enjoys the experience of starving.

Nick entertaining everyone with his homoerotic fantasies and pretending to go off to look for coconuts with Joe but who knows what they were really doing out there in the jungle.

Jessica climbing a banana tree for food and yelling "BOOYAH" when they fell.

It would have been much better than in here. I think and I hate Survivor.

I too checked out the site. It does give a new insight into what has made Dick what he is today. I also felt compassion for Zack last night when he was talking about how he had to eat by himself and play chess with himself because everyone shut him out. How sad. I now hope that Dick and Zack are in the finals. Does someone have the web address on Zack that was posted last week? Please post it again.

barbwire said...

Kay - I love it !! what a great idea, send them on survivor !! Danielle's tears would have put Amber to shame !!

If the Donatos either father or daughter win the money I hope they use it for some long overdue family therapy. Seems like they could both use some love in their lives. They both need to put the past behind them and think of the future.

Jackie S. said...

Barbwire - GE is where my father worked in Schenectady while we lived in Troy. After that, we were all over the map -- out to CA for a few years, back to a couple of towns in Western New York (a tad west of Rochester, more towards Buffalo), off to CT for a year, then settling around the Capitol District Area where I ended my HS days in Saratoga County, college in Albany.

After college, did some years around Poughkeepsie, then several in CT, now several in NJ -- I've seen where I live listed as Northern Central, but it's very densely populated, NYC commute kind of area. If I go to the top of the nearby "mountain" I can see the Manhattan skyline in the distance. However, if I look out my windows, all I see are the luxury cars of the mysterious women in business suits next door. (I overlook their backyard and garage area.)

I just wonder why Daniele always has the hiccups.

Anonymous said...

I'd love to see Dani on Survivor...maybe she's disappear altogether if she got any skinnier and all they would find is two fake boobs lying on the beach.

Jackie S. said...

Ohh, Kay! Now, there's a show!

Anonymous said...

Those boobs aren't fake. They're too small. And since she works for Hooters I wonder why she hasn't had them done. Hooters will even pay for them. I used to work for a restaurant that was owned by the Hooters corp. Not Hooters itself though.

Kay, your description of the hamsters if they were transported to Survivor was hysterical. And as for the poster who wondered about Kid Nation, I will be checking it out. I am interested in how the children will rule themselves.

Anonymous said...

Jackie - I was also born and raised in Troy and now own property there. I live only a few miles outside of Troy now. Small world!

Has anyone considered that it all comes down to who the judges want to win rather than who played the best game?

If only Zach had thought ahead and backdoored Dani when he had the change...he'll be replaying that move for the rest of his life. I'm still pulling for him but I think the odds are pretty unbeatable. It's going to be Dad and Dani one and two.

Anonymous said...

The jury can only vote on the last two standing and at this point it looks like the last two in the house with be the father/daughter tag team.

Jackie S. said...

Mar - Cool! Then YOU would know some of my childhood stomping grounds and areas where relatives still live --
West Sand Lake, Averill Park, Petersburg, Berlin, Grafton, Hoosick Falls, etc.

Sometimes the jury votes for who played the game best, sometimes it's highly personal. I think this jury may be personal, but for the most part, no one in the jury will be thrilled with any of the final three.

Joe in NY said...

Barbwire,

You both complimented and insulted me in the same post - well 50% is better than nothing.

My hindsight is as good as yours, but not all of our discussions are in hindsight. We've debated forward also. In fact, just this week we argu...er, discussed who Zack should nominate and why. And this was not a week where strategy mattered much.

And, of course, I'm well aware that my strategy would go out the window if I was in the house. Living it is much different than watching it.

Anonymous said...

Joe - Don't take Barbwire personally. In case you didn't know, she's my mom and she compliments/insults me at the same time all the time ;)

I'm glad you're back to your long winded ways. CaveJoe was funny for a while, but...

Anonymous said...

Jackie- I probably taught some of your relatives!! I taught in Averill Park for 28 years so I had to have some of them. :) Your old stomping grounds take in the area where I now live. This is so weird.

I'm catching up on Joker's and I read that Dani has a hurt wrist. What's this all about? Anyone know?

Anonymous said...

I read some of Dick's blog..thanks for posting it. The poster on the other site put it up in July, but Dick is speaking of 9/9..last year maybe? I just thought that was noteworthy, since it was yesterday's date. Was it a good day for him Sunday? Did he talk of the date having a meaning to him? Sue

Anonymous said...

Orkmommy,
Dani said she got injured in the pov competition last week where you had to put the colored balls in the tube. She claims Eric either bumped into her or pushed her down and I guess she fell on her wrist.
Dick did mention yesterday's date very briefly yesterday. He said it was a day that he got married and left by his wife.... so it still is on his mind.

Anonymous said...

From Zach's college roommate...I love it, esp. the Children of God part...
Mike: "Zach has always been good at strategic-based games like chess, Magic Cards, video games, etc. He approaches the household like the game it is, and he has managed not to get too personally or emotionally attached to anyone or anything. I think that kept his head a little clearer than the showmancers or the Children of God."

Sydney said...

THanks for that link. I read it somewhere in the first month of the show I think and thought it gave an interesting layer to Dick, in addition to his blog entries on his myspace page.

Does anyone know if Zach has a myspace page or something like it, and if so, re-poste it here? A commenter just mentioned someone gave it a little ways back but I must have missed it.

Anonymous said...

My mother in law always told me it was okay to look back but not to stare...Dick should heed that advice and not live in the past going over and over anniversaries of sad events. He needs to turn the page. From his blog it sounds like he's still obsessing about being dumped by a drunk. He should be happy not to be married to one...even a hotie, which I guess she was as he says they did the deed everywhere and anywhere...what a picture...ugh. They even managed to get thrown out of The Vatican! That's our dick of a Dick.

Anonymous said...

Sydney - Zach on Myspace is at http://myspace.com/dolphincrash

I'm not impressed with the site. I thought Zach would have a killer MySpace but it looks like it was done by a 12yr old. Poo poo to you Zach!

anon; 8:31pm ...Where are your sources for these "facts"? If all of what you say is untrue (and I suspect it is) then it's vicious to put it online anywhere. Your opinion is one thing but to put it out there as if it were true, without offering a listing of source(s) is just vicious, plain and simple.

Quote from ED's MySpace page. Also explains A LOT about him!!

"That is what I am and when I am inspired to do so, or to blow off some steam or to share something really cool. It is who I am and I have never pulled any punches in my life, especially with myself. I think it is part of being bipolar, but who gives a f#@k, it is me.... high highs and low lows."

Anonymous said...

Sorry...forgot to mention that it was from a blog entry dated March 29, 2007.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I do and I don't care to admit it. I got so bored with it the last time I watched it three or four years ago. It's always the same old crap...We're hungry. We're hungry. It's horrible here. Dull. Plus I discovered TAR which is a far superior show. And of course BB but only because of the blogs and the other online stuff.

Hey Joe, I looked at your picture that is one beautiful dog. I also noticed you like Stephen King and Anne Rice. I used to like them too but then I discoved Laurel K. Hamilton's Anita Black Series, Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire Series, Kelly Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld Series, and of course the best, Jim Butcher's Dresden Files (which by the way is a hundred times better than the TV show). Check some of them out if you like Vamps and Werewolves and Witches. The first ten books about Anita are some of the best vampire books ever but then, it starts to go downhill a little. The Southern Vampire Series is charming and whimsical. Women of the Otherworld keeps getting better and better. The Dresden Files about a grown up wizard with major issues is almost as good as Harry Potter. Honorable mention goes to Kim Harrisons Witch Series. And by the way Dean Koontz kicks Stephen King's butt Fear Nothing, Intensity, and Servants of Twilight are awesome.

Thank you darlin', yes, I am typing one handed, well in truth, two fingered, thumb & middle...lol

So glad you will be with us for Survivor, and I agree with missing the 24/7 info leaking.

Me thinks you are just as charming in real life as you are here(your imaginary life?). I can't imagine you having dating problems, unless you are shamefully shy in real life, whereas here you can be bold. I better comment on BB8 before someone angrily reminds me why we are here. Giggles.

i didn't mean to insult you in the least !! i love reading your comments, they are very thoughtful & thought out (sometimes i fly thru them, tho :) )

i just think that even the foresight ideas come from hindsight information, that's all (of course, as always, JMO)

orkmommy, sounds like we need to go on BB & air all our dirty past laundry for all to hear & see - NOT !! i wonder how we would come across, which would be the whiner & which would be the evil one ?? just kidding -

i think this is a great family of BB and other reality show watchers, we fight, we argue, but in the end, we all love each other :) (what symbols are hugs all around ??)

Casting: what a mess that was this year. But, we speak here of hindsight being 20/20. I'll bet the casting people are doing that, too. Here is what they may have seen and tried to use getting the hgs together this season.

Dick, auditioned/applied multiple times. Almost made it on the twin year with Dani. He is upfront with people...comes out with both barrells blazing though when crossed. Confrontation over Debate is his style. Is the hard place. Objects to authority, but understands obeying BB is necessary.

Zach: Prefers to debate, finds confrontation illogical. Thinks through something thouroughly. Is the Immoveable object. Likes and follows rules.

Eric: Salesman type personality, Lies often, but twitches when doing it. Can think on his feet and can spin many situations. Knows the game and has a plan.

I can see where casting would think putting the opposites of Zach and Dick together would make for some interesting game play. Obviously, there were others who fit into the same categories, but, oh my, I seem to have forgottem them already. God only knows what role they thought Amber would play.
Thanks Jackie,

****
We are all probably thinking of this day and how much has changed and how much has not changed since 2001. Sue

Sue,you are so right. Not a year will ever go by now, that we don't stop and remember. My thoughts are
with all the families and survivors of 9/11 today. For the life of me,I don't know why the CIA can't find Bin-laden and wipe him off the face of the earth.

Only nine more days until Survivor! I sure hope it's a good one this time around. CBS owes us after this dismal round of BB.

Anonymous said...

so many of you are saying that dick is the only one who played the game......dick is the only one who played the game LOUDLY...but it doesn't mean he is the only one who played the game. there are as many ways to play as there are strategies...you can play quietly, between one or two people, you can play like zach did....in his own head alone. just because someone is quiet does not mean they are not playing....nor does it mean they rode on someone else's coat tails. quiet, and under the radar are also viable options for game strategy. so as far as dick deserving a win because he "played the game"....well, that is ludacris.
