'Big Brother 8' - No Sequester House Footage?
I've written an article over on TV Squad regarding the lack of sequester house footage this season. Odd move indeed, eh?
In current house happenings, they were all asleep and BB just blocked the feeds -- probably the wake-up song of the day. Gee, before noon their time. Feh.

Excellent article over on TV SQUAD, Jackie.
I imagine Allison Grodner wanted to "try her wings" in her debut as a solo producer and change things up a bit, but, as was mentioned, she seemed to forget what the "old-time" viewers loved so much about the show.
Like so many others, I looked forward to the sequester house scenes and am deeply disappointed that Ms Grodner decided they were unnecessary this season.
I also missed the fun games the HGs played.
Though I have never subscribed to the live feeds, I almost did this year and am now so grateful that I didn't waste my money.
Hopefully, Ms Grodner will know of the many complaints of the fans and next season (if she still has the job) will return to the parts of the show that the old-timers treasure. I'm not against trying something new, but to replace something tried and true with an
"iffy" idea (AP) and have it turn out, IMO, to be a boring mess, makes the loss of the excitement of the SH ever so much more noticeable.
Maybe BB needs some "fresh" talent in the production department. Are you listening, CBS?
Regarding the suggestion that they only have houseguests who haven't seen BB, you can't cast based on people saying they've never seen the show...for all you know they've watched every season...there is a lot of lying going on when applying for reality shows. I just hope they have a more diverse group next year in age, education, work experience, etc. We'd all enjoy a lively group who can "talk," esp. the people with the the live feeds. These people have nothing to say to one another. Has any of them ever read a book they could discuss...read a paper? Seen a movie? Been to a museum? Sports event? Do any of them have any opinions on anything other than themselves and God?
Hi Jackie, Sorry about that bandwith problem..that can be very painful. : ) I read your reply to a poster about your thoughts on the hgs (on the previous post) and I think you said it and said it well. We almost have to pull the personality away from a hg to see how they are playing the game. Sometimes personalities are difficult to get past, but you did it in your comment. I think Eric is very aware that Jessica's name might be on the AP choice card. I think it is disturbing him. I haven't watched Tuesday's show yet, so this might have been on it. But when I read about the Miss Piggy comment and how thrown Eric was by it, I was thinking that Janelle knew he was AP and he knew she knew. That would have thown him, even if he hadn't made the rude comment, and even if he had been trying to win. Thanks Jackie, Sue

I agree with both of these statements. Even though CBS knows that the AP hate the AP they selected, they will keep him until the end.

I also agree with several other posts. CBS should give the HG something to do beside drink and sleep.

Agree totally with your "take" on the final players...and with some using the word "player" is a compliment as they have floated along. I dislike Dick, nevertheless I hope he makes final two as he has been the best strategist in the house. There are traces of a decent human being in there somewhere. I would have given up on Dani long ago. She is a brat. Dick was positively glowing at being able to flirt with Janelle. Men are such dopes sometimes...
First I think they need a new casting director next year and probably a new producer. This year was just a mess and I don't agree with the poster who said this season and BB6 were about the same.No way,no how.After this bunch goes home,it will be hard to even remember their names,not so with Janie,Will and yes,even the disgusting Booger. Or Marcellus,Chicken George or Danielle.But this group of wannabes,don't think so.Even the AP should ride off into the sunset,never to be seen or heard from again!

Well, Julie Chen still has her job and she should have been fired years ago!!! And yes I know she's married to Les, but she's horrible!!!
