Tonight's Survivor China Blogging

I have a spoilers post on the show up over on TV Squad -- beware of boot spoilers for this week and next! Please don't discuss the spoilers in the comments here.

For the season premiere tonight, I'll do an East Coast update on the boot, so check back for that post if you want to know or to talk about it. That should be up around 9 PM ET.

I'm reviewing the show for TV Squad, so my review won't be here. I'll zap a link to you once it's up.

Survivors ready?

...I DON'T LIKE COURTNEY! What an attitude already!

Not crazy about Leslie, either, How disrespectful she was in that temple. She had been told it wasn't worship. I thought she was terribly insulting.

Coutney was also disrespectful in the temple.. Another me, me, me kind of girl!

joy, you took the words right out of my mouth. courtney can be the first one off and i say good riddance.

i was a little disappointed in leslie as well. you are in another country, show some respect.

now this is what really bugs me. these people have had to watch prior year shows. why would you wear some of the clothes knowing you get to keep nothing. dresses, punk rocker boots, etc. dumb, dumb, dumb.

earring lips bother me to look at as well. (gee, aren't i complainy LOL)

Yes, she has quite an attitude. "People in NY don't act like that!"

Is Courtney the blonde? If she is than I agree. She's gotta go.

The WWE lady needs a bigger shirt or something. Yikes.

Is anyone else having a problem understanding the chicken guy?

I picked Dave (the former model) as my winner and I already don't like him. Grr. But I really like the grave digger. Humble and a hard worker. Red team's looking much better than yellow at this point.

Hey, no word verification! Yippee!

i think the AA lady is real glad she had a good bra on because she went from a dress down to her underclothes.

Its obvious hardly any of these guys have watched a first episode closely. If they had they'd know better than wearing "sunday best and high heels" the first day!!

As far as understanding Chicken...guess ya gotta be a good ole southerner to git 'im! lol

Nate said...

Wow. What language does Chicken speak? My friend, Jenny, says "Country."
Meanwhile, these folks all seem weak. Weak.

Nate said...

Annie, we were just saying the same thing. Perhaps their handlers picked them up without them knowing it was going to happen?

Well I missed some of the beginning but I really like the grave digger. It would be great to see a strong African American male this year.

Courtney has got to go...another whiner, yuk.
James, very nice eye candy...if he keeps low keyed I think he'll last awhile.
Lesley was disrespectful, hope karma gets her.

I'm liking James a lot , too.

hey
right now chicken is reminding me (looks wise) like Robin Williams! I like him but it might be my southern bias lol. I don't think he'll last long but I think he is an asset for awhile.
I like james too. Seems like a good guy.

well that was quick. bye bye chicken.

to quote chicken: dayum!!
should have been a bit more quiet at council.

does survivor only come on once a week? i'm having a brain freeze

joy n said...

Aw, I kind of liked the old coot!

Lesa said...

wow!!! No more Chicken!

Unknown said...

So far, on the yellow team, I like...Frosti. And that's it.

That was possibly the worst "save me" speech ever by Chicken, but he still didn't deserve to go. And Dave seems quite arrogant.

Nate said...

Wow-- that model guy seems dumb.

yep, survivors only on Thursdays.

I liked the challenge tonight and looks like the wrestling lady gets a chance to redeem herself next week in the mud pit.

I'm sooooooooo happy the new tv season is beginning!!

Annie - I agree, that was a good challenge, and China is gorgeous! Not the way I pictured it. More green, I think.

I miss Jackie blogging live!!! Does anyone know if she is just not doing a live blog for us??

Leslie is the typical "Ugly American"...thank you for being a bible thumper....please get voted off soon!!! Go home to your little isolated life!!!

Sorry to see Chicken go and he is only from Virginia but what a accent he had.

OH great, looks like we have another Whinele attitude girl on the show. Girl, you don't represent New Yorkers. That's all I have to say.

HOW DO SO MANY PEOPLE GET ON THIS SHOW who say they weren't expecting the conditions (I'm a city girl, and the other -- I'm not used ot being out in nature) and who wear dresses when if they watched they'd know at least once they all had to play in just what they were wearing? I have a feeling a lot get recruited.

Forgive me as I don't have the names down yet. Kinda like the flight attendant guy. LOVE the guy who "buries people". It was quite amazing to watch he and the smaller agile guy leading the competition. Both are great athletes in totally different ways. To watch -- is it James? -- haul his formidible body up the first wall with one yank of the rope shows just how strong he is. WOW.
THink this is going to be a GOOD season. At least there is quite a bit of diverstiy -- maybe the same people that cast this could do BB next season!

Anonymous said...

I agree, Courtney has to go, soon. She has a miserable attitude.
Sorry to see Chicken go. He gave a little diversity in the group. He's was one of the reasons I was pulling for the yellows. Damn!

Wonder how they chose the teams...sesms like the yellows have a lot of slackers on it...

I said the same thing about the clothes. I know people want to look nice, but there's no way I would show up to any Survivor meeting without wearing something I'd be prepared to be wearing for the next 39 days. Also would think that people would wear more fishing-type clothes - with zip off arms, legs, etc. so you could maximize what clothing you are allowed to have.

My other thought was that once again, by voting out Chicken, people allowed their social and petty instincts to override their instincts for survial. If you really were trapped and fighting for your life, would you want to vote out a strong body who could do some work early on, even if you didn't like them for some reason associated with their personality? You're so immature that you can't look past that for the next 3 days, especially when you don't yet have a shelter?

I know all shows edit to suit themselves, but there were several of the women in that tribe who appeared to have done nothing. Chicken wasn't leading the way, but he was working.

Any you currently don't have much food. What's one of the first things that ususally appears running wild? A chicken or some sort of bird that can be eaten. And who better to catch, kill, clean and cook something like that than...a chicken farmer!

This aspect of Survivor always disgusts me...people can be so stupid that they cut off their nose to spite their face.
They should rename it "The Miss Congeniality Contest."

I think Chicken's big mistake was taking the "I'm not giving my opinion anymore" stance. Granted, they didn't agree with him as far as the shelter went on day 1, but when they asked him point blank what he thought he refused to give his opinion. He should have tried to help out gently to show them that he really does know what he's talking about.

James is frickin HOTTTTT!!! Man, what a body. And he's really cute and quiet too. I think I have my new crush!!

I couldnt believe Courtney rolling her eyes at the monk who was trying to help her. "Kids" like her are the reason I have a problem with most people under 30. They don't appreciate the gifts they're given. I was in tears watching the ceremony and she was ready for a nap!! What a twit!

I have Peih-Gee in the office pool. I think she could be very strong, but she needs to watch her attitude. She's too bossy! I really thought she might have been out last night!

Auntie Leigh said...

Orkmommy, I think you got a pretty good pick in the office pool. I agree with everyone who was disgusted with the blond in the temple disrespecting the monk. I wonder if she can stay that blond for 39 days? So far, I love the show and agree that the "grave-digger" is sweet and fun to watch. Is it true that Jackie is not live-blogging the show? OH NO!!

I have never live-blogged Survivor. I would post east Coast updates on the major events and usually have a show review post up before midnight ET. I will still do the East Coast updates and I've committed to TV Squad to do the reviews there -- they should be up around the same time as I was posting them here.

Survivor would be very hard to live-blog without missing some key bits. A show like Big Brother moves as a slower pace, plus I knew a lot of what happened prior due to the feeds and wasn't worried about missing much while typing.
