'Survivor 15: China' - East Coast Update 10/11

This post will be updated as the show airs here in the east -- major events including the boot.

So far, just Sherea and Dave fighting in one camp while Courtney and Jean-Robert go at it in the other.

Cool rewards challenge! Both tribes had to meet at Tribal Council for it, don't think it's a double ouster tonight. Fei Long won -- get a fisherman to teach them to fish, spices, vegies, and they kidnap Dave. Dave? That's odd.

Dave gave Todd the clue. Todd's racking them in, eh?

Another cool challenge for Immunity and Fei Long wins.

Dave was voted off after much discussion -- it was between him and Sherea. He voted for Sherea, but it seems the rest voted for him to go.

UPDATE - My review of this episode is up at TV Squad. Come visit!

Kidnapping their leader...smart and Dave gets to eat!!

Tessa said...

I'm sorry but I just can't stand Sherea's attitude!

Anonymous said...

Doesn't that idol looks too big to keep hidden from the others?

Tessa said...

Those birds doing the fishing for them was pretty cool.

Tessa said...

I missed what the clue said.

Jackie S. said...

Jean-Robert shocked me when he started speaking Mandarin. The fishing was cool and the kids were so cute!

Tessa -- Something about creatures of the night fly away and it allows one to stay. I don't think it's the ornate piece they keep showing.

hey, how is everyone? we finally had a fall day.

james looks good - just wish he'd keep his mouth shut.

wasn't that too cool with the birds doing the fishing? i thought the same thing denise did - they were going to eat the birds.

i'm not caring too much for the lady in the bra with the big boobs. maybe she's next to go?

how about jean-robert with his language skills...pretty dang neat!

I think that would be too easy if it was that piece.

Like Dave really cares to go back to his tribe. I think they have had it with him and he knows it.

Jackie S. said...

But, will they keep him for his strength and get rid of Sherea who saves her strength for challenges? While Dave was gone, all but Sherea worked their butts off.

Jackie, this blog is a life saver tonight. Today is my BD (yeah, I am REALLY older than dirt now) and we went out to eat and I have been receiving BD calls. I can't tell them, "Hey, Survivor is on, call later."

BTW, loved your write up on Kidsnation. I would have responded, but am typing up listings to sell some of my "stuff" on eBay.

Keep up the good work. Survivor is back on.

Tessa I will be looking for your posts on Grey's! I can watch it tonight as it airs.

There are some seriously cute guys on the teams. I especially like Aaron.
I thought the immunity challenge was boring. But the fireworks challenge was neat.

Tessa said...

My hope is that Sherea goes. Who knows though.

I hope its Sherea gone tonight..I'm so over her in her underwear. She is sooooo selfish!

Annie ~
I'm tired of Sherea's underwear too!!

Oops! I meant Steff.

Well it looks like we'll see bras and panties AGAIN next week!

Anonymous said...

LOL Gayle...same bra and same panties, can we say ewwwwwwww. I have to wait a week for more...boohoo. Gimme more episodes!!!

Happy bd Becky.

Once again I thought the "special effects" for the immunity challenge were lame.

That reward challenge was really cool with the fireballs and fire- works. What a great reward too. The food looked delicious, and learning how to use the net is an advantage that maybe will finally put some meat on Courtney's bones. Plus having the family and especially the kids there must have brightened their spirits. The only down-side was that Dave got to eat, too.

Who knew that Jean-Robert could speak Mandarin and translate making the whole experience easier to enjoy? I can't stand him but he's definietly not an idiot.

I wondered whether lazy Sherea or domineering Dave would go and really thought it would be Sherea in her funky underwear. Guess we'll have to be seeing it again next week. Yuck!

I sure won't be missing Dave much though. He was reminding me more and more of Richard Hatch every week. He was such a rude jerk to everyone.

Now, if they could get rid of his counterpart on Fei Long, Jean-Robert, I'd be happy. If Zhan Hu doesn't win immunity next week, we may finally see the last of Sherea's icky undergarments. One can only hope!

Did Leslie tell Todd about the second clue that she had given to Jaime? If so, then Todd has all three clues to himself except the one Jaime knows about.

Jackie, I'm serious, I do love your pictures. I saw the ones on your personal blog awhile back and thought they were great.

I have a confession to make. I have jigsaw puzzle software I purchased a year ago and I can take any picture off the computer and make a jigsaw puzzle out of it. I did that with your photos (and a bunch of others). I am the only one who ever sees them. My husband wants nothing to do with the computer. I don't know if this is even legal (?).

If you want me to delete them, I will immediately. I'm just saying that's how much I really enjoy them. I love random shots that tell a story all their own. And I love doing jigsaws.

Happy Birthday Becky!!!!

Jackie S. said...

Becky -- Happy birthday! I hope it was a good one!

Joy -- Thank you. Unless you're selling them, I certainly don't have a problem. The one in the last entry (click to enlarge it) would be good for a tough jigsaw with all of the brick!

joy n said...

Thanks, Jackie. NOT selling them. Purely for my own enjoyment. My software enlarges them, allows you to choose the size, shapes and number of pieces. Great entertainment for me on lazy, rainy or snowy evenings when there's nothing on the tube. I feel better now that you know and, as I said, I love your style in pix.

Happy Birthday Becky!!

Just read your TV SQUAD post. Excellent! This was one of the better episodes.

I'm pooped. Going to bed.

The "hidden" immunity idol clue mentions creatures of the night flying. The ornate piece the camera lingers lovingly on has bats in the corners. I do think that is it.

Speaking of cameras lingering lovingly, there wasn't enough James tonight!!! More, more!!!

Deanna said...

Glad to see Dave gone... The way he demanded everyone drove me nuts. I actually kinda like Jean-Robert, even though he is a bit rough around the edges. Who would thunk it!Lol!;)

For the people who are curious, Dick posted another blog about how his daughter Daniele and Nick are currently driving across country from Mass. and are taking in the sights(I'm assuming they are bringing his belongings)... Dick also said that Daniele had called to apologize for the things she said on BB and that even though he wasn't hurt by the things she said, he WAS touched by her apology. He says they are working well on their relationship and that Daniele wants him to go on a trip with her to NY... So I'm happy to hear that things are going well for them. Dick's son Vincent posted on his sight that he and his dad went to Disneyland and that everyone was stopping them. He said even the "Dick haters" stopped him to take pics and get autographs.

Also Happy Birthday Becky! We share a B-day! Best Wishes!!!

Jackie you can post photos every day, just love your eye. MORE MORE!!!

Immunity clues contains all clues given so Todd has them all. Dave was rough and tough, but lets see how the tribe does without him arounf camp. Bra-girl will be just as lazy, notice how she lied about doing more work around camp and the @@ from the others at tribal?

At least the challenges were less brutal last night.

Anonymous said...

I think the Immunity Idol is possibly a piece of paper. Once the metal doodad with the bats on it is removed from the wall, the pass will be there. . .OR the paper will have the location of the idol spelled out. BTW Jackie, why don't you do a reality tv food thing for Slashfood. I notice Sassone does writing on both blogs.

Caroline said...

Well Sharon thanks a bunch for putting spoilers in an episode discussion. Always someone in the group that needs to ruin it for other people. Why don't you just tell us who's supposed to win and save me ALL the enjoyment of watching the whole season.

AlbGlinka said...

"Bats" was my obvious guess from the first clue, but didn't catch the bats in that ornamental piece at camp.

Acording to something I read over at Reality Blurred, Survivor was the most DVR'ed program on premiere night, and my guess is that Sherea's bouncing boobs and other peoples' body parts in mudy challenges are a big reason why. So if we want this show to stay on the air, I guess we have to put up with her poor attitude awhile longer.

I love the wee gay Mormon, whose name I just can't remember. Did anyone catch his eyeroll when Creepy Dave hugged him after giving him the clues?

AlbGlinka said...

Pardon the lousy spelling in my last comment!

Forgot to add: I'll bet anything that casting knew of Jean-Robert's Mandarin-speaking skills. Too much of a coincidence.

Also: Jackie: I'm selling mugs with The (TV) Show Must Go On logo on EBay-- I hope that's not copyright infringement!!!

BIG WINK.

Sydney said...

YES yes yes Al, I did catch the eyeroll! So subtle, yet....so obviously creeped out

joy n said...

Yes, Happy Birthday Becky and Deanna!

Deanna, I just read Dick's blog entry and was happy for him that things are going so well, and especially that Dani is really opening up more to healing their relationship. Hope you had a great birthday and celebrated in a big way.

Delee, that's why I was surprised that Sherea didn't get voted out. She lied with a straight face and they all knew it. I doubt she'll be there much longer. I think Dave's lack of success in the challenges as much as his bossiness must be what did him in.

Albglinka, I caught that eyeroll from Todd, too, and I didn't blame him a bit! I

joy n said...

Delee, I also meant to thank you for reminding me about how all the clues are included with each new immunity clue. I'd forgotten. Todd is a smart player to keep it all to himself.

To Caroline-
Ditto!!

and Sherea is an Elementary Teacher. YIKES Karyn

Becky and Deanna......hope your birthdays were wonderful and many more happy ones! All these Libras in here,I love it!!!!

I was disappointed that Sherea didn't get the boot! What a load of cow poopy was she shoveling at TC!! If she's so intent on "saving herself" for challenges, she needs to know.....it's NOT working, but then, neither is she!Yeah,Dave was a bossy blowhard, but he did a lot of the work around camp. Not that the others can't do it,they just were lazy and let him. This tribe is not cohesive at all.

Courtney's like a spoiled, bratty child, always finding fault with others "tone" of voice and how they act towards her. When she went off on John-Robert(who I'm not overly fond of)tonight,I was yelling at the screen...."just get over it,brat". She is no help in the challenges and looks like a strong wind will blow her away any time. The only good part, she probably doesn't eat much(bad,Sharon....I know,I know)!

I was wondering if the big piece they keep showing has like a puzzle piece that pops out of the middle...so one part stays so the other can go.....think???
It would be hard to climb up there and push it out while everyone is there.....Yau Man was smart to stay behind and dig his up!

Anonymous said...

albglinka--you are sooo right about Jean-Robert speaking skills. Something like that doesn't just "slip by" the casting staff. But it sure moved him up a few notches with the rest of the tribe.

I've been wondering if just part of that ornamental piece is the idol....otherwise how do you "hide" it from the rest of your tribe??

I foresee P.G. stepping into the leadership role and when she starts trying to tell people what needs done she, too, will be evicted!! Those people are self-destructing.

Courtney worries me. I don't think we have ever seen anyone that thin this early in the competition. She says she's a waitress but those little arms don't look strong enough to lift a tray of food.

Does anyone else think Dave is gay?? His mannerisms and actions last night started me saying, hmmmmmm???????

caroline/margo--I read the slip by Sharon, too. I'm sure she didn't mean to spoil it for anyone. Her post was early in the morning....maybe she just hadn't had her morning coffee yet and wasn't fully awake :( . However, I have read the spoilers and what she said shouldn't ruin the rest of the shows for you.

Happy belated birthday to Becky and Deanna---all of you Virgos on one blogsite!!!! Hope you all had a great day.

Do you think Sherdea will still have a job when she returns?? Given her "in your face" attitude toward Dave, running around in her underwear, and the lazy role model she is, I wouldn't want her teaching my kids.

joy n said...

nana in the nw, What you said about Dave being gay; that thought crossed my mind too last night.

Anyway, what woman in her right mind would want the tyrant?

Anonymous said...

First, thank all of you for the birthday wishes. I just LOVE birthdays. Plus the advantages they bring. Presents, yeah, but the best is now the government not only pays me to stay alive, but pays to keep me healthy enough to stay alive! (Social Security & Medicare)

Now for Survivor.... I agree with so many of you, Jean-Robert is a pig and Sherea is a lazy slob. Dave might have been a tyrant, but he did get that tribe into an ethic of getting off your duff and helping out. Well, except for one who will ride the gravy train as long as she can. The first time she doesn't perform in a challenge is when she will be gone. I wonder how the tribe will do with Dave gone?

Loved Todd's eye rolls. I think it is funny that everyone seems to confide in him. He sort of fades into the woodwork and no one sees him as a threat.

I noticed at Tribal Council several were rolling their eyes at Sherea's little spill about everyone doing good in different areas.... and her's was in challenges. She all but stated to let the peons do all the manuel labor and let her rest because SHE was the one carrying the challenges. I am so tired of seeing her boobs flop around.
Kudos to those sharp enough to catch the bat clue.

Okay, back to eBay. Is there some way the person selling cups can post her name so we can check it out?

I've been out of commission for a while. I swiched internet, phone and cable providers a few days ago. The installer screwed up and didn't do something to activate the service before leaving so I've been without phone and internet for several days. Plus, I've not been able to figure out how to set things to record on the dvr. I did have tivo, and that was so easy! To make a long story short, I've been missing out on a lot!

There is something good tho. I now have high speed internet so I can actually watch things I missed online!! I can't believe how fast this goes now! I can actually watch a video without waiting 20 minutes for it to download!

I'm so excited!!!

Well, I just wanted to pop in and say Howdy! Now I'm going to try to get caught up on what I've been missing all week.

Catch ya all later!
