'Survivor 15: China' - East Coast Updates 10/18

The show has started here on the East Coast. As it airs, I'll update this post with important events. Please refresh the page for the latest.

Um ... so far, no important events, but it has started! ;-)

UPDATE: Messages came by boat -- each tribe picked two from the other tribe who will compliment them. Fei Long chose Sherea and Frosti. Zhan Hu didn't think. They didn't realize they would lose two of their own -- chose James and Aaron thinking they'd have seven people and would vote out Aaron.

UPDATE: Immunity Challenge -- Fei Long won, but it was thrown by Zhan Hu by Jaime and Peih Gee. They want to vote out either Aaron or James thinking their end game will be stronger after the merge.

UPDATE: Aaron is voted out.

My review of the episode is up over on TV Squad.

Zhan Hu doesn't do that a lot!

THINK, that is.

Hi y'all
Does it bother anyone else when Jean Robert refers to himself in 3rd person? OMG, Sheare does have a cover up!

Anonymous said...

Fei is in for a surprise with Sher

Anonymous said...

Sher better get off her ass now, or bye-bye to the bra and panties!

Anonymous said...

Too bad they didn't make a third tribe.

Anonymous said...

Sherea is gonna start to do something at the new tribe.(ha ha) Glad she put something on over the top of herself today. I can see why during challanges she doesn't wear it, it would get in the way.

I agree Jean Robert shouldn't refer to himself in the third person. It's very annoying. He really must think alot of himself.

Anonymous said...

Wonder what will happen when their undergarments wear out which they will do fast!

joy n said...

PG wants to throw the next two comps? James and Aaron could easily keep that from happening. doesn't she realize that?

Anonymous said...

WOW Sherea has new swimsuit

Anonymous said...

Will their idea work? I don't know... it looked pretty obvious to me and James, if not gone tonight, will come back and bite them!

joy n said...

Well now I hope what PG and Courtney did backfires on them. Maybe the other three will vote one of them out. Jeff even blamed James for part of their screw-up.

Anonymous said...

I hope the girls plan backfires and one of them goes home. That was pretty crappy of them to blow the chalange like that. Could they be anymore obvious? I just hope everyone else caught on like James. You know what they say Karma creeps around and bites you when you least expect it.

i don't ever recall jeff pointing out how terrible a player - let along three players - were in a competition. am i just forgetting seasons past?

I officially don't like Jaime or Psoup or whatever her name is. I'm mad.

Anonymous said...

I'm gonna miss James!!! I hope the merge happens soon. Psoup and Jamie couldn't even vote out the right person tonight. Why when they heard James say I'm going home didn't they send him home? Now they have to sit and listen to him rant for another 3 days if not more. DUMB!!

Anonymous said...

Well I'm glad it was Aaron, just because if he had voted PG with James and talked Eric into voting PG too, they would have changed the game and still let Eric have his girl toy.

Anonymous said...

Zhan Hu kept James because they believe he's the stronger of the 2. James might throw a competition just so that they can lose and be voted out.

joy n said...

I wasn't crazy about PG and her bossiness anyway, but I, also, officially do not like Jaime any more. What a crappy way to play!
And to laugh so openly about it!

I HATE this shake-up. It seems as if it were designed to get rid of the strongest players.

The way this is going, lazy-ass Sherea will go home with the mil.

lynn1 said...

I understand the strategy behind PG snd Jaime throwing the challenge but I do not like it.
One of the reasons it so upset me was the way they laughed and were so smug. They did not even tell Eric what their plan was after the fact.
I hope one those big chinese fire breathing dragons sneaks up on PG and Jaime and burns their skinny little butts! LOL

joy n said...

Lynn 1, just the thought of that possibility makes me feel better.

I was NOT happy with the twist in tonights show. It seemed as if the strongest were punished. I was hoping that at Tribal council, Jeff was going to throw a wrench into anyones plans and announce that the two "new" tribe members were exempt for this tribal council. That would have shaken the game up a bit. Instead, being a strong player is enough of a target to deal with in the game, now CBS/SURVIVOR has put an even bigger target on these individuals. Can they not come up with anything else?? Very disappointed with this show and season so far... Not as exciting as they played it up tp be.

I know most won't care, but I'm thrilled... I wrote to Dick on his myspace about the problems I'm having with my 19yr old son and he actually took the time to write me a VERY nice and encouraging message. The man has over 11,000 friends on Myspace and receives so many messages and comments per minute and he still took the time to reach out and offer kind words.
He is very active in hosting a chat room for his fans to chat with him as well as inviting them to come to certain places to have a drink with him... I know who the "Good People" in the house were this summer and it doesnt rhyme with Wamber! :)

PG and Jaime made an enemy tonight and I hope James is able to survive their throwing another comp and getting rid of him. Also hope the merge doesn't happen for a long time. Remember when there was only one member standing? You can't count on when a merge occurs and longtime viewers know not to count chickens before they hatch. Hope karma gets those women. After their teammates worked so hard in the comp they totally undermined all that effort when neither of them could have "put out" as much energy as that took. So unfair...wish Survivor would find a way that the weak can't eat the strong.

Anonymous said...

Deanna...Im thrilled. I know Dick is brash and vulgar, but I sensed a deep loving heart in there and this confirms it to me, thanks for writing him and WOW kudos to him for writing back....thats great.

As for Survivor, it had great promise, but its getting annoying to me...

Caroline said...

Understandably it seems like most of you are upset by the way Jamie and PG threw the challenge last night. But I for one am very happy about it. For once the weaker people are actually using their brains to keep themselves in the game as opposed to being content to ride other people's coattails. The Survivor slogan is Outwit, Outlast, Outplay and these two girls are capitalizing on what they have...Outwit. Between them and mastermind Todd over on the other team, this is becoming a strategy based game much earlier on than usual and it's a refreshing change. It brings some added spice that a game that for the past few seasons has been mostly about the physically strong players. JMO.

Anonymous said...

I understand what those two did was a move to save themselves and this game is about "outplaying and outwitting" and that's okay, but,I didn't like the smug way they went about it,laughing all the while and, duh, could they have been any more obvious?

And,I agree that was a lousy way to try and balance the tribes. All it did was enable the weak game players to vote off the strong players that had been key to keeping their former tribe on top.To me,that's an unfair advantage.Zhan Hu didn't win because they were weaker,at the start, anyway, but because they were unorganized and couldn't work as a team.Shame on the producers for making it possible for players like those girls to outlast Aaron and James.

We'll see whether Sherea gets off her butt and helps around camp now. But with all of them bristling at John-Robert's bossiness,I wouldn't be surprised to see her still be there.I still like Frosti,a lot, and hope he can hook up and make friends with Fei Long. And I hope the merge doesn't happen when Miss Bossy PG thinks it will!

Hey,Terry...how was "Jersey Boys"?
I have tickets for it,but not until next Spring.

Hi everybody... I'm back ... I think....

I figured it was Aaron going home cause they played up that it was James too much.

Jackie, you mentioned a number of posts back that you caught the new show Life. I'm in the group of those who love it. I also like the section they add in where you have clues to solve the crime he was falsely convicted of. I love being the detective in these episodes.

Am enjoying your pictures too.

Saw joe from ny had re-surfaced for a moment.

Even tho I haven't had time to comment, I've tried to keep up with the blog.

Still have a lot to read and a lot of tivo'd shows to watch.

joyn...good to see you're hanging in.

Out of all that happen'd lastnight on Survivir...the best thing for me was that they got some ding-dong-dang clothes...thank you sooo very much for giving them something to wear besides their undies...guess the camra men got tired of looking at all the guys in their undies also..lol..

I also think what P.G. and Jamie are doing to James sucks..fine, Arron wasn't my fav, and he would have went back to the "old tribe" when they all came together, but I really don't think that James would have..maybe he needs to let those 3 in on that lil secret before they throw the next challange..

Deanna - Wow, I actually agree with everything you said! That didn't happen often during BB! :-)

I hate that the producers "mix" the game up this way. It's obvious that the "new" people are going to be voted out first because tribal loyalty is always very strong in this game. Why don't the producers just pick who goes home. Those people are all there playing for the same reasons and by moving players around like that it gives the unlucky ones a 100% chance of going home before they probably would have otherwise.

p.s. Hi all!! I haven't been commenting much, but I've been lurking! :-)

Am I the only one who is upset that the producers are basically rigging this game. This is worse than the BB8 stunts. I'm just about ready to give up on the game. The fair thing for the producers to have done was given immunity to the people who were switched for the first week. Am I the only one that feels this way. It's one thing to outwit outlast when the game is on a level playing field but when they choose to mix the game like this it's not right

Caroline said...

Dawn, if you read the comments left by the rest of the group I think it's safe to say you're in the MAJORITY by feeling that way. Almost everyone else has expressed the same feelings. I think I'm in the minority when it comes to enjoying the strategic way the girls approached the twist in the game.

Anonymous said...

This "twist" is by far the most unfair thing I have ever seen on Survivor. The producers but big huge targets on 4 people and those people had no say in the matter. James and Aaron earned the right to stay. Eric is and idiot for not going against the girls. I hope that Frosti and Sherea bond with their new team and turn on PG and Jamie when they merge. James should just sit out the callenges as a protest to his being "thrown under the bus". Maybe next immunity challenge both teams will throw it and it will never end. They might still be over in China playing day 15 challenge.
Stupid - stupid move Survivor!

I am a BIG FAN of the new show, Life too.........

Is the group you're in a public one or private? I would love to get involved in it, I am so intrigued by how he was framed and want to figure it out too!

I am with the majority here that DID NOT like what they did on Survivor last night. If they were going to do it they should have granted those switched immunity for that week.

I just ignored PG up until last night. Yes, she out-witted by throwing the challange, but her being so smug about it put her at the top of my GET RID OF LIST.

What is ironic is that they kept James because they "think" he probably had less friends than Aaron, when it appears on camera that he has alliances with several people.

I think it would be wonderful if each tribe can TAKE back one of their exiled people next week. Then James can go back and tell about the nasty little stunt that PG pulled. As if the other team couldn't see it.

Either that or let the tribes merge next week. Then PG could bend over and kiss her skinny little behind bye!

Anonymous said...

I hadn't thought of the switch folks getting immunity. that would have been great. Also, I was hoping that the four that were picked would have started a third tribe. All strong! I agree with the others that Eric should have went against the girls and their smugness. very disappointed in the whole episode.

Deanna said...

Caroline... I see what your saying, but I think out of all the winners of Survivor, that it has been a fair mix of strong vs. smart players. Earl never dominated a challenge, yet was a very smart man. Yau-man did well in challenges because he was a very smart man. Ozzy dominated with strength... etc... I think that is why I like the show so much, because it is fair for everyone. But I can't help but look at this as not a players move, but a producers move. Each person should have a fair chance of fighting for their right to be there and not have production swaying things. This switch-up was just too easy and really boring. Why was there no extra stipulations with the switch up? To only have two people from each tribe switching, automatically put targets on those (4). It would have been more fair if the man arrived on boat with a bag of names from the other tribe and that the two names drawn would be their new tribe mates. This way was too contrived...

Anonymous said...

MEB, I love Life too.

We should start our own little murder/conspiracy group?

Who do you think set Charlie up?

I believe that it was the retired police detective (He at least had to be a part of it). I think he set Charlie up and got paid a lot of money for it and thus retired. He is now living off the proceeds of his frame up. As a big lover of L&O and especially after the whole OJ thing, I just don't believe that anyone in police department or the D.A.'s office would put someone on trial for murder without checking the DNA evidence. (Actually, the DNA evidence is what got him out.) So, that would mean that someone in the D.A.'s office is involved too.
Can't wait to see what happens.

Deanna, Wow! How neat that Dick was caring enough to respond. I also left a couple of messages on Dick's MySpace (makes me one of the 11,000) but my messages were of the congratulary type so I expected no relpy. I'm so thrilled for you, too! Just goes to show he does have the good heart we already knew was there. Hope whatever the "problem" is or was with your son, that things are running smoother now.

That Survivor change-up last night was the pits. Obviously designed to purge the strong players. And then, to have to watch Jaime and PG giggling like schoolgirls about it for the rest of the episode was just toooo much!

Meb, glad you're feeling better enough to come back. I know how tough it is to lose someone you're close to. Stay strong. You have friends here.

Caroline said "I think I'm in the minority when it comes to enjoying the strategic way the girls approached the twist in the game."

I think what they did was definitely within the bounds of "Outwit" and I was impressed with the idea. HOWEVER...I completely hated the way they pulled it off. They should have brought Eric in on their plan and their smug attitudes afterwards totally turned me off!

I mentioned it before, I have PG in the office pool and now I can't stand her. On the one hand, I need her to win so I can collect my $160 BUT I don't like her and want her to go home! What's a girl to do???

Anonymous said...

Jackie,
How do you feel about the switch? I'm thinking the poster who said the switched players should have had at least one week of immunity is right. That would have enabled them to at least try to outplay, outwit, outlast. They were dead meat from the moment they got off the boat. Not a big fan of Aaron, but he got a raw deal. Worked hard at comp only to have the comp thrown in order to get rid of him. Survivor left those switched people powerless.

joy n said...

Jackie, excellent post over on TVsquad about Survivor. Still won't accept my comments. Once, out of many tries, I got the email and they posted my comment. Oh well. By the way, I knew who Jackie (was) is. LOL!!!

I can't stand what happened last night with the two silly geese but I'm still loving this season, too!

Anonymous said...

Jeff tries not to let his feelings show but I think he was disgusted with the girls. I know the game is to outwit but Aaron and James didn't have a fair chance to stay in the game...

Anonymous said...

Survivor is always looking for a new twist, but this switch needs some tweeking to protect the "selected" Survivors. James and Aaron couldn't have prevented being targeted with only a couple of days to try to integrate. The early "team" loyalty takes a bit longer to overcome.

Caroline said...

Deanna...I do agree it was an odd twist. I'm not sure what the produces hoped to accomplish by it. And I completely understand why so many people here are upset. I don't think in my first post I commented on the producers side of the twist. I was merely impressed how the girls took what was dealt to them and came up with a game plan.

Orkmommy...I also thought it was poor taste that they made such a spectacle of throwing the challenge. They showed they were intelligent enough to handle the twist and throwing the challenge, but not mature enough. It would have been better played if they had been more stealthy. Then they could have kicked James off, kept Aaron around (if he didn't know they threw the challenge there wouldn't be animosity) and then use the same strategy next week, or not, they'd have Aaron more on their side by then in case Frosti and Sherea aligned with their new tribe. Great strategy, just not executed as well as they could have.

Anonymous said...

Deanna, how nice for ED to reply to you. He was my pick from the start (just had to get thru the crap from him).

If turn around was fair play next week the teams should trade back 2 but not the 2 that went this week.
I wanted to slap those 2 girls. Immunity would have been a great idea and both teams would have worked harder. James did mention to them that they were acting like high school girls (agree) with all the giggling and laughing. YUCK.

Courtney must have sunscreen, she is still as white as a ghost and her hips bones stick out horribly.

MEB welcome back...I have been here little also had surgery 2 weeks ago and just starting to get an unfogged brain!!!

Did anyone watch Viva Laughlin last night? Reviews have been so-so, but I enjoyed it!

Deanna said...

Joy N... Thanks for the good thoughts. My son has issues that are probably going to be better dealt with in Rehab, but I commented to Dick about it, knowing his own battles with drugs as well as dealing with a child who you can't seem to get through to. I didn't expect a response, but he wrote a very nice and encouraging paragraph (with a few cuss words...lol), but he wished me and my son luck and then said he really meant it... It was just a very nice thing and I was truly touched by it.

meb said...

Wow Jackie, it appears that a bunch of us are "Life"ers. Does that mean we get a site to comment. Heh, Heh. Or were you going to add it to your list of shows to blog?

Janice/GA - "my" group was just an indication that I had read a bunch of us watch and enjoy Life, so jump on in. ...

Kay... I think you may be on to something. Haven't figured a lot out cause it's so new, but the detective certainly has a problem with all this...he's turned into a drunk... could be a sign that he was involved somewhat. I agree if the DNA was there...but then 12 years ago, maybe they weren't so good at reading the results...

Janice/GA - what are your thoughts.

joyn thanks... I appreciate the commaraderie here... everyone hangs in and supports each other.

delee... Glad to hear you're recovering from your surgery... what's your take on who framed him. Can't wait til he finds the little girl, who must be around 18-19 now???, assuming she was 6 at the time it all happened.

Meb Buddy was killed by...imao...comsidering that is the premise of the show in the long run. I am sure this will drag on and on. Loved the sing-alongs.
Must have missed the part about the girl...help!

Sorry delee... I was trying to answer so many people at the same time, that after I mentioned your surgery, I went back to commenting on the show "Life" that a bunch of us are watching. I guess you're not.

Didn't mean to confuse you.
