'Survivor 15: China' East Coast Updates 12/13

As the show airs here on the east coast, this entry will be updated. A full review will be posted late tonight on TV Squad.

Happy belated birthday to commenter Nana! You share Frank Sinatra and my younger brother's day!

Thanks to Courtney, Denise won reward. She chose Courtney and Todd to accompany her on an overnight trip to the Great Wall of China.

Amanda won immunity.

Peih-Gee was voted out.

Great challenge and I'm happy that Denise won it. I did actually feel bad for PG though!

What a fantastic reward! I still don't feel bad for Peih-Gee. Denise like everyone else there has the option of choosing whoever she wants. PG made her bed and now has to lay in it.

What's that saying? Karma!

Yay! Amanda won immunity!

Whew! I'm happy for Amanda.

Yay again! Bye bye Peith-Gee!

I'm hoping that Amanda and Denise get together and decide that they can beat Todd... so they vote Courtney off next. One can only hope! I want to see Denise have a shot at it, but I'm a dreamer. Sigh!

I'm so glad PG is gone, but she spoke a lot of truth at tribal council about Courtney. Courtney can roll her eyes all she wants. She is absolutely the least-deserving person (in the history of the show as far as I'm concerned) to be there.

I would love to see Denise win, too, but doubt that she has a chance in you-know-where. Not one of the other three will want to go up against the jury with her.

If they vote out Courtney on Sunday, I'd be thrilled, but Amanda better be on her toes for that last immunity because Todd and Courtney both would lose against her with the jury, I think. Todd has played fairly well, but he's doing a lot of crowing about it lately and rubbed many the wrong way. Courtney is totally useless. I am not a huge fan of Amanda's but if Denise goes, I hope Amanda makes it to the end.

AND, how thoughtless, greedy and selfish was it of Todd to eat those boiled meat sandwiches on the plane that Denise wanted to bring back to Amanda and PG?

AND, for Courtney to complain about the food at The Great Wall of China. Sheesh! She makes me want to throw up.

joy n, I'll hold your hair out of the way if you hold mine. Todd and Courtney were the absolute worst, in my opinion, tonight. It just makes you angry that they got to enjoy a great reward, and had only two fellow survivors back at camp, and they wouldn't save even a morsel for them. I'm not a PG fan but I did feel bad for her tonight. Out of the five of them, she has fought the hardest to survive. I'll be cheering for a Denise or Amanda immunity win on Sunday. Please, oh please, let Courtney be gone next.

On another note, Courtney did have the best line tonight... "an angry Todd, is a bad Todd".

Monty924, if Courtney makes it to the final three, I'll be taking you up on your offer.

That's what friends are for :-). I take back my immunity wish, though. I want Denise to win immunity. If Amanda wins immunity she will help vote Denise out. Denise doesn't have any blood on her hands and there is at least one die hard Courtney hater on the jury. Go Denise on Sunday!

Monty924 & Joy N ~

I'm with you pulling for Denise even though her chances are very slim! If they vote her out and Todd, Courtney and Amanda vie for the final win, I'll be pulling for Amanda!

I can't say that I feel sorry for Peih-Gee, but I feel increased animosity towards Todd and particularly Courtney (aka "The Skinny Little Witch").

Todd is not nearly as smart as he seems to think he is - for all of her faults Peih-Gee had a better insight into what she needed to do. His theory on the need to keep Peih-Gee weak nearly blew up in his face. You don't leave her alone with someone who you aren't entirely sure of and you certainly don't let the two of them stew in their own resentment feeling like outsiders.

Denise isn't particularly bright or she would have taken Peih-Gee on the theory of keeping your friends close but your enemies closer. Having Peih-Gee at camp with Amanda gave them a chance to bond in their resentment. At the same time Denise missed her shot to be rid of Todd. I think that if Denise had given Amanda even the slightest hope that she'd vote out Todd, Amanda would have flipped. But as I say, she doesn't bring any really great tactical or strategic thinking to the table.

But it is Courtney who absolutely annoys the crap out of me. I really can't figure out what she was doing at the reward challenge (let alone why everyone gave her their arrows - what was that all about) except that she was pretty obvious about trying to throw it, but she's also catty in the way she ridicules everyone behind their backs, and thoroughly annoying with her eyerolls and her facial expressions. It's pretty obvious that she's latched onto Todd and being obnoxious and disliked as a way to get to the finals but unless she's playing for second place I don't see what she expects to happen at the final tribal council that would allow her to win. She is one of the few people in the history of Survivor that I have wanted to reach through the screen and strangle just for being herself.

Well,it seems we are just about all of one mind in here. I'm another "anybodybutCourtney" supporter. She has to be one of the most self absorbed, obnoxious people on the planet. If she wins it will be the worst injustice of this game.I,too, hate her smugness and the eye rolling and downright rudeness about EVERYTHING. You get picked for a reward and then do nothing but complain about it..yikes!And Todd is right there behind her. I still do not know how he got this far in this game. He's done NOTHING and yet has controlled almost every vote of the game. He's mean and spiteful and gets his behind in the air over the smallest little thing.

I'd like Denise to win, just because she's a nice person. Too bad she can't seem to win immunity the way she has won the rewards.I also would hope the jury would see beyond her laid back kind of game playing and vote her the winner,if by some miracle she makes it to the final three. If not, then Amanda would be my pick to win. She has tried to play the game, make a few bold moves, but rode Todd's coattail a little much. I don't want Todd or "the skinny little witch" to win in any case.I'm disappointed she is going to be on All Stars, too.

Did anyone else notice that even Amanda voted to out PG...that surprised me. Even tho I know that Todd or Courtney would be the ones to go up against in the finale, I so wanted either of them gone.

I think the idea giving Courtney the arrow was that she wouldn't be able to hit anything...wrong!

ok, I ve kept pretty silent, time to fess up, I hate Courtney and Todd's actions and wish they had been voted off....however if amanda or Denise is up against either one of them they would win.
I love denise, and I like Amanda and wish they could make it to the final two.....that would be a hard one for the jury.
I wanted Todd out last night, then it would be an all girl comp...PG, not my fave, but I admire her gutsy wit and strength.

HI Jackie
I was looking forward to your witty thoughts on the end of Kid Nation. What did you think? I watch with my husband and kids in their twenties and we all got quite attached to several of the kids and will really miss seeing them on a weekly basis.
I know you haven't been writing as much lately, but would love a final blog on KN. I want to adopt Sophie and Zach. Jared was one of the most interesting kids on TV ever. His line "the Pelvis has left the building" left me speechless on his dry wit.

Hey Caligirl - You can see Jackie's thoughts on Kid's Nation over at TVSQUAD.COM. She blogged all the Kid's Nation shows there.

This time I felt Denise should have taken Piegh-Gee. She's a competitor but was so down trodden. I know, it's no reason to risk a million dollars. I doubt one meal would have made her win, but you never know. BUT it would have been a magnificent way for Denise to redeem herself and get PG's jury vote.

Maybe Piegh-Gee is worse than we've seen on TV, and maybe they paint her a little more to be a villian. Ya neveah no.

Monty942 -- I too want to see Amanda and Denise in the end, but you know both want to take Todd or Courtney to win votes against... so Joy and you may indeed be in for a rech fest, which I'll join...

Joy, I totally agree with you on Todd eating the food on the way back. Ditto your comments on Courtney. It amazes me how she plays kissy poo with one person and as soon as they're booted, she grabs another pet... What kinda magic does Ms. Skeleta work that each doesn't realize they are just a number. She's Linus and any breathing boy is her blankie.

Brent/Meb -- My husband said the same thing-- they gave her the arrows 'cuz they felt she would botch hitting her own name and hopefully hit theirs. But it seemed she just gave it away.

Long post, sorry -- lastly, I don't thikn I could have eaten the little chick curled up for a million bucks either. Claws, eyes, beak... ek.

Sydney, that fest may be a large crowd on Sunday.

Loved your Linus remark, made me laugh.

And I'm with you, I couldn't have eaten that balut either, for any amount of money! EEEWWWWW!

Hey, I just saw a commercial stating that 100 grand will be awarded to this year's fan favorite. You can vote either by text messaging at sprint or on the survivor website. I'm voting for Denise.

Happy Sunday people! If you're like me, checking in each day to see if there's some new comment and finding there is not, I'm writing one now, lol.

I figure in the lulls between shows to talk about we can talk about other things of interest.

For those who celebrate Christmas or if you go to a nice sunny spot while others celebrate it and you get time off from work, I hope you aren't too crazed with all the yet-to-still-do things that start to crunch up in this last week before we essentially roll up the year.

I usually have a big annual holiday party but because of circumstances this year, am not. It feels good to just GO to other people's parties and be a guest for once.

If anyone has a tale worth telling from any past or present holiday parties, I'm all eyes.

Well,my brother came in from NYC and my sis from Cincinnati this weekend and we celebrated our Christmas with my Dad for the first time in over 35 years. My Mom died in '71 at 47 and he remarried a real witch and she cut him off from us. She died this 9/11and we are a family again. We all got together Fri-today and did we ever have a good time. Now it is snowing like crazy here,my brother is stuck here and my sister is on the road on her way back home, but it was worth any amount to be here this weekend. So my advice to any of you who still have your parents with you, cherish them or mend fences and enjoy them while you can.We ate ourselves silly, talked about everything under the sun, looked at old pictures and just kept hugging and looking at my Dad. This year is a very Merry Christmas for me,without a doubt. I wish the same for all of you,I so look forward to so many of your comments and it seems I know you from your style of writing.MERRY CHRISTMAS to all and have a great 08!!
