American Idol Boot Update
Amanda Overmyer leaves the show tonight. Kristy Lee Cook and Carly were in the bottom three with her.

It's ok with me that Amanda's gone. There was something about her I liked, maybe that she's a nurse and a rocker, which is a seemingly unique combination...but I just don't care for that strident kind of music.
I'm kind of surprised that Carly was in the bottom 3 but I think expectations are very high for her and she had all that adverse publicity because of having a prior contract. I didn't see the show but I'm thinking the fact that all bottom 3 were female was not a big surprise. Very strong male group this year.
When Kellie Pickler was performing all I could think about is how much she reminds me of Tammy Wynette. She sounds like her and in some ways resembles her. Ok her hair isn't as big ! Does anyone else see or hear the resemblance ? I was also surprised to see Carly in the bottom 3. I think she is by far the most talented of the girl singers.
I really liked Amanda and was very surprised Kristy stayed. I liked Amanda's voice. However, I do agree with Simon, she always sounds the same. I was just sad to see her leave.
Kelly Pickler makes me laugh. She was hilarious on "Smarter than a 5th Grade." I hope she really wasn't that dumb when she was in school. LOL
I really,really thought Kristi would be the one leaving but Amanda is just a bonus for me. Didn't like her at all and she was my next pick to go.She was like a couple of the ladies last year,they had one style of singing and she even told them she wouldn't change that and it was not a good style.Just because you wail and sing as loud as you can,that's not good music. And she mumbled so many of her words,that's what drove me up the wall. I'm glad she's gone and all I can say is,Kristi must be appealing to the country music group,cause she's been terible the past two weeks and she needs to go. Is she the "vote for the worst" pick now?
Carley has a great voice so to be in the bottom three is unbelievable... I truly think that the dress she wore with that huge tattoo jumping out at you can't help. Some people get turned off by that sort of thing.
The dress was orange (on my TV) and it just didn't fit with the outfit. I find myself distracted. A shame, but true.
Kristy just has a cute little voice, nothing that's going to win her the top prize.
I liked Amanda in the beginning, but was tiring of her same ole'/same ole'.
We all know it's going to be David Archuleta as the winner, so we can just sit back and enjoy the show and wait for the finale.
