BB9 - Live Feeds Into Tuesday Morning

Nah, this is a current screen cap from the house. I took it yesterday. It's dark and they're sleeping now.

Here's what happened in the Big Brother House of Horrible Houseguests since my last report:
  • Natalie read the bible out loud to Sheila.
  • James told Adam his speech (POV?) was stupid. He apparently said something about "to minimize risk" which doesn't ring bells with me on the nominations speech.
  • James and Adam played chess.
  • Ryan and James played chess.
  • Sharon told Natalie she rarely drinks beer, doesn't like it. Natalie told her that she prefers pot to alcohol.
  • Adam, James, Chelsia, Joshuah, and Ryan talked about Natalie's life. They think that something seems to be missing. (Maybe they'll decide that Sheila's her mother next!)
  • There seems to be a 2-3 year gap in her stories to them.
  • I'm glad they're not analyzing my life. There are some years in the past I rarely mention and remember little ... probably on purpose.
  • Natalie says she won't embarrass herself like Chelsia on national television. God has tested her and she passed. @@
  • Sheila thinks Joshuah's time in the house is just about up. On that side, she and Natalie only think Sharon is deserving of the win.
  • In my opinion, whoever wins deserves to win. It won't mean I'll be happy with the winner, but that's the way it is. They all have to live with themselves afterward.
  • They're sleeping like little angels, aw.

Now we're talking..I don't enjoy alcohol as much as I did in my younger days, Although I have stopped inhaling, I actually did not believe pot worked for nausea, ( it does ) overall I don't like my brain to have a sleepy switch,( I can't see word verication ) thus smoking is ruled out..LOL Then there was coffee..Thanks (( Jackie )))))))))

((((( Jackie ))) I had those exact feelings, up until a year ago, although I've written everything about my life, one day last Jan, I decided to read through my old journals, wow, I actually had forgotten regarding various gaps in my life, I have twin sister's who are writers, they are both what I call " Square " don't drink, don't smoke, don't do anything, in fact you'd probably think they were strict nuns, haha one of them has a son who became involved in reality TV, he's hilarious very bright total opposite, in fact he actually wrote a skit regarding the twins, it wasn't until then that his Mom realized she was " Square " she decided to write a book about our family, she requested some info on my past, my own sister didn't actually know me, she was amazed, I was amazed how I didn't recall but I believe it was because I had changed my name at a young age, what I discovered though is I'm usually more open to people if their birthdays are near someone who I'm close too, I know thats crazy, but I've never revealed to many of my own friends about myself as much as I have in this blog, my daughters birthday is on Sept. 15, she suffered a terrible tragedy during her 8 th birthday, It kills me each year when Sept rolls around, if one day she'll recall, I better stop, I didn't think it would bother me even today, but it still does, and it's been since 1995, I have asked her if she recalls, she doesn't all she knows is she lost a parent, although doesn't recall under what circumstances, for years though my daughter refused to acknowledge her birthday, however she never knew why.

As usual, thanks for the laugh, Jackie. (Maybe they'll decide that Sheila's her mother next). Just caught me surprise and I burst out laughing. Being sleep deprived for the moment, I needed that!

I'm sticking with my opinion on Chelsia. HG's saying it's the alcohol, blah blah. I think she's a very nasty, crude, and overly impulsive young'un who doesn't have a clue. I can picture her being a "mean girl", then again, this group seems to have some really mean tendencies anyway. I saw the bunny incident and I'm not exactly a Natalie fan but that was destroying her art work that she'd done for hours...and clearly Chel knew what and why she was doing it. I guess I don't believe it was all about Chelsia leaving, I think that was just her latest excuse.

From now, I'm sticking to the edited show and this blog. Now, I can't promise I won't peek if someone posts a youtube clip. I should know better, but I'll probably look. LOL

Tom's: You said "...but I've never revealed to many of my own friends about myself as much as I have in this blog..."

First I was moved by the story of your daughter. Whatever happened, it was obviously traumatic for her and you.

It is good that we can come here on Jackie's blog and voice things that we might not say otherwise.

Jackie, the world is full of hard knocks for all of us. During the last week or so we have seen more and more how your offering your viewers a place to feel safe to speak their minds has offered us a soft comfortable place to land when needed. Thank you. Sue

I think, for the most part, these "kids" are just a product of our times.Their generation doesn't seem to know how to monitor or control themselves much and it makes me sad to think that this might be representative of that group. But then I look at my two boys, both about the age of most of these and they aren't completely without any morals or boundries.I KNOW they would never act like these do and embarrass their family on national tv.I still do believe that BB looks for the damaged people and sometimes, the more damaged, the better.Look at the people they pick for WifeSwap and these other
reality shows. But as long as we,the viewing public, continue to watch, they will continue to drag it out and put it on display.

And,I guess I am one of those "square" people. I did do some drinking in my youth, but never felt the need to become a drunk and never have I done any kind of drugs,so call me old fashioned, but I don't feel I missed out on anything. I am addicted to food,so maybe it's a good thing I never did any drugs or I might have been an addict of that.I know addiction to most anything is very hard to deal with and I have some sympathy for those with addictive tendencies.

I spent Easter Sunday with 10 people between 19 and 38. Not one of them was anything like the ones we see on reality TV. They were well educated, well spoken, kind to each other and to the "older" people, talked about their lives and their futures with hope, and were a joy to be around. Squares? No. Some drink, some smoke, some have alternative lifestyles ... they were all people of their times and they were pleasant to be with.

There were lots of laughs, lots of intergenerational converations, and lots of genuine emotions shared throughout the day.

Now that I think of it, one has even been on a reality show, the one where the parents choose a date for their daughter. They said it was all scripted and quite stupid. Let's hear it for the normal people!

Sharon said: "But as long as we,the viewing public, continue to watch, they will continue to drag it out and put it on display."

Every time I come across Jerry Springer's show I wonder how it can remain on the air, but I think you nailed it Sharon. As long as people keep going to see it and/or watch it on TV, they'll continue to exploit these people.

Can't wait for this BB to be over so we can hopefully look forward to a real one...surely this one was just a fake.

Do you think they(BB) are taking into account how some of us feel about the trend of going so trashy on this show? Or is this one tame compared to other versions in other countries? Or are we in the minority and everybody else out there is loving these degenerates? There has to be a segment of the viewing public that eats this up or Springer and WifeSwap, etc would be long gone by now. I remember when Survivor first started and there was such an outcry about it.Now,it seems to be the classier older cousin of all these "reality" shows! I still think that TAR and Survivor show you can do "reality" and not get down and wallow in the muck and dirt.JMO

Meb - One reason I decided to work on a study/survey was to better understand more about various months, various people's names, LOL why I was drawn to either help that person or not, of course its nutty, it's ironic, those who do know me, I have a percentage scale, I rate my own vibes, when my percent is up to 97 % I'm generally correct, for instance if a traumatic event is about to occur, I realize this is confusing for many people, however if my vibes work overtime, for instance, a birthday being on Sept 15..though for years, I've had sorta like a six sense during the months of Sept, Oct, and Jan, however after Sept 15, 1995, the month of Sept, I could feel anyone who had a birthday on Sept, without ever having met them. I ignored those feelings, because I feared a backlash, Back on Sept 15, 1995, although it was my daughters birthday, I strongly sensed something wasn't quite right, I didn't want to take her day away, Its crazy, I'd study clouds, their movements, I enjoyed comparing weather dates, humidity, rain, till this day, I know when a huge tornado activity is brewing nearby. I'll briefly give you an example, my middle name starts with a J there is a town outside of Austin name Jarrell, Back in 1997, I sensed a tornado was headed there, why I had no idea at the time, I just knew, it would be on Tuesday May 27, 1997, killing 27 people, town would have 7 letters, my middle name is similar, I told family members who resided near Jarrell, Everything I felt occurred exactly how I predicted, after reviewing my families birthday's, my birthday, my other daughters birthday, I would focus on the number 7, though sevens in general, whether a person's name had a 7, whether it was on a Tuesday ( which has 7 letters ) year, On Sept 15, 1995, it was very humid, hot, my first instinct I felt; I might suffer a heart attack ( my Dad suffered a heart attack and died while vacationing in Germany, his birthday was on Sept 17 ) I tried to ignore my instinct's, kept giving myself excuses, my niece drove my daughters home from school early, my sister wanted to video tape my daughter upon entering our home, we had built her a huge doll house on our back yard, we wanted to capture her happiness, instead it turned into a nightmare, I thought I could write it but I can't. I generally don't write in a blog, the other day, I felt the urge to write in Sydney's, what I wrote had some impact on this day..I'm sorry, I didn't realize Sydney's Father had passed away, at the time I wrote.

What cracks me up is how "biblical" things tend to get in this game. In shades of St. Cappy, we now have Matt the Martyr, with half of the house swearing vengeance on the other half for getting him evicted and using the Bible to quote scripture supporting their actions. Natalie thinks she's pure as the driven snow because all you have to do is think about how sorry you are for the things you've done and all your sins are instantly forgiven. She's looking in the Book of Matthew for strength because of her Mattie. Sheila's off on a vengeance kick for them getting rid of Saint Matt and how they need to cleanse the house of the Others.

It's funny how many of them lose perspective when they've been cooped up like that.

Tom, you seem very sensitive to your surroundings. That can be a gift or overwhelming. I understand.

Demographics, to answer why the trashy shows stay on. Networks don't care about the age demographic the is over...what 13? maybe 26? They are the only ones with money. The irony, as I see it, is the money is coming from the older generation that funds the kids. :) In some cases, at least.

I like to read blogs. Not of people I know, that seems intrusive. But I have two that I follow, both are married women who are in their 20s. They are inspiring and make my day brighter to read. One couple has children and the other one doesn't. They couldn't be further from the women (and men) we see in the BB house. And the couple with children are teaching their children values that fit in with what I hear on this board. So there is hope for the future. But they are too busy with responsibilities to take off three months to be on TV.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program. I just checked and all four feeds have dark rooms and hgs asleep.

It is a sunny day in Arkansas. Many thanks Jackie, and I hope you and Roofus have sun soon, too. Sue

rI'm baffled and slightly amused by the people who continue to post here about how much they hate the people on BB this season yet continue to watch it and know every dirty detail of what is said and done on the show.

How about if you hate it that much you simply stop watching it.

Anonymous said...

Frank,I,for one, have stopped watching THIS edition of BB. I get all I need to know(and sometimes too much)from reading Jackie's blog and what all the posters have to say.I still like the concept of BB and will watch in the future, but have no interest in any of these hamsters or care who wins or who gets the boot. There are too many other more interesting things on to watch instead of this dreck.I haven't watched the UTube's or gone to websites to look into these people's lives, cause I just don't care to know them any more. But I understnad people still watching,it's like a train wreck, sometimes you just can't turn away and you tune in to see if they can get any worse.

While I'll still read this blog, I am done watching BB9 for the rest of the season. I don't like anyone, though I guess I want Sharon to win because she is the least offensive or Ryan, but why waste an hour of my time that I cannot get back watching something I just don't like and that has too many recaps? Let's hope summer is better. I still say go for retired folks in BB house.

Anonymous said...

Frank, that puzzles me, too.About myself, not about others. It is a good question. And I have thought about your question as it pertains to me. I think there are as many reasons for me to continue watching as there are lies being told in the house. I don't watch as closely as I would if there were people I was rooting for, though. I like the BB concept. I like to analzye how people behave in stress situations and I like to hear them talk of their families and their lives outside the house. I am stalking without the fear of a restraining order.
Just because BB has taken a wrong step (imo) doesn't mean I disagree with the concept behind the show. Semantics, maybe.

Foremost, though, is Curiosity...that is with a Capital C! I just like to know what people are doing...BB is a license to gossip show. I can't gossip about co workers without violating confidences and being a downright busy body. It is okay for me to play that part about BB, in fact it is part of the game. BB is the only show that is on 24/7 (unless you count reruns of Law and Order), so there is always something to see or talk about.

I keep hoping that the game or the hgs will redeem themselves. But, if they don't, they'll be gone soon enough and I'll take up another show to watch.

Good question, though, Frank. Sue

Jackie-"Natalie was put on this earth to make people smile" May I please steal in @@ from you? I think the eye rolls are more like it.

Chelsia hopefully will use some of the $21,000.00 to enroll in an anger management course of some kind.

Finally there is a reason why we as the viewers, we do not always understand Gnat. She must have been allowed to bring in her "doobies" into the house. All I can think of is Cheech and Chong, Up in Smoke! On that note, she must be sharing a few with Shelia. Gnat and Shelia have offically been re-named Cheech and Chong. Speaking of Shelia, has she been asking for Tylenol lately?

Can't wait to see Evel Dick!

I think from my last post, I must have been smoking a doobie. There is a reason Jackie allows us to preview what we write before posting.

Sorry for not making too much sense and all the typos~

People vent in message boards, blogs, expressing views. Doesn't mean they have to like the show, if people didn't complain, investors would get ripped.

Sue, I noticed the potty mouths on Top Chef, too. It was especially evident on the premier, don't you think? Last week was a bit better and I wondered if they had been warned about it.

Frank, I quit watching the show but reading about it is like reading a trashy novel.

Tom, your posts interest me. Please remember that just because you may know something is going to happen does not make you in any way responsible for it. Being in tune does not make you in charge.

Jackie, thanks for watching this show and reporting it back to us. You make it funny and interesting instead of nauseating. We all need to pony up the big bucks for you this season!

Jackie, Adam said (in his nom's speech) something to the effect that he was evening up the sides, which would benefit him in the votes when he goes up on the block in the future. It was kind of a dumb thing to say. Why not just say, I need the numbers so two of you are going up and one is going home? ;)

Can't wait for tonight's CBS show. More guinea pigs, please!

I agree that trainwrecks are interesting. And this season's BB9is a big one. As Sue said, curiosity is a big factor in watching. If you've never known people like these HGs, it's fascinating to watch them and listen to them. They make it easy to dislike the things they say and do, but you continue to watch, almost in disbelief, because, speaking for myself, I've never known anyone like them. I think it's part human nature (the train wreck) and part the genre of reality television. You're supposed to watch, you're supposed to judge, you're supposed to pick faves and least-favorites. Jackie provides a place for us to vent our opinions. Gossip? Yes. These HGs provide us plenty of fodder for that. Guess it's kind of a love-hate relationship for me. I can't stand the majority of these houseguests, but I can't wait to see what they're going to do next.
