Big Brother 9 - Live Feeds Into Friday Morning

It's a cold world in the Big Brother 9 house for James. Either that or he's gone into hiding.

Here are the late night and overnight events in that Big Brother House of Adam Did It:
  • Sharon has a new furless fur-iend. She's adopted a slug in the backyard. A face only a mother could love.
  • James told Sharon that he won't use the veto to save her if he wins it. That was part of his deal with Adam to not be nominated. Adam really doesn't want to have to put either Ryan or Natalie on the block in place of Sharon.
  • Ryan is sure that James will use the veto to save Sharon and will betray Adam's trust.
  • Sheila can't stop talking, but now at least it's a new subject -- Adam's betrayal.
  • Ryan is like a broken record telling Adam he's ruined everything.
  • Natalie is sure that James is gloating and is telling Sharon he'll save her with the veto. Wrong.
  • Sheila says that James' inspirational speech is coming to fruition. If she wants to stay in the house she has to win a comp.
  • Supposedly James was told he'd break a record if he wins the POV comp.
  • Natalie said the POV had better be something biased towards her or her group. @@
  • Natalie also says she'll DOR (voluntary leave) the game if James wins POV.
  • I doubt she will.
  • She thinks that BB is favoring James and it's time they favored her.
  • Adam is still blaming the DR for changing his mind and going for the deal with James.
  • Uh-oh. Not only did they not win beer and soda, but they also didn't get fruits and vegetables -- they have no treats for the guinea pigs! Ack!
  • Natalie and James talked. He said he'd rather work with everyone than to have them against her. Natalie told him that if he doesn't use the veto to save Sharon she won't put him on the block if she wins HOH. (But can she be trusted?)
  • Speaking of trust, when called on breaking his word to James, Ryan said he only shook hands on a deal because James cornered him.
  • When alone and away from Ryan, Natalie and Adam talk -- they're still cool with each other.
  • All are asleep as I get this posted.

Hmmmmm? Adam is smarter than I thought by getting James to promise he WON'T take Sharon off the block if he wins POV.

Well Crap! There goes my theory out the window. It would have been great though because if James won POV and took Sharon off it would mean Adam would have to put up Ryan or Natalie.

Well, now let us all watch as Natalie works her wonders with Adam. Wonder what's up her sleeve(s) now!

I think Natalie is a better actress than Sheila! I know in BB anything goes as for game play, it's whatever works, but I don't like a female to use her looks and dependening on a male or playing the dumb girl to get what she wants. IMO women should be taught to use their brains to what they want.

men should be taught to use their brains too, i didnt know natalie was good looking, doonna arent u the one who keeps repeating natalie not smart?

meb,

Just curious. What sleeves? I don't think that Natalie has worn anything with sleeves since this season has started. She must be hiding it someplace else.

I think any woman who "plays" dumb IS dumb to do so. So I may have said she is but I do not keep repeating it. I usually state James' side.

I think Natalie is nice looking, not good looking, Chelsia was much prettier than her, not taking actions into account that is.
I agree men should use their brains too. Men are more apt to use their's in business dealings and use their lower heads to run their personal business. I also am aware that this is not as much so in larger cities and big businesses, so please forgive me I do not mean to catagorize ALL men or ALL women.

I give Natalie credit, I think she has played very well. I just do not like hypocrites and people thinking they are better than others just because they read the Bible.

Could the producers or people in the BB diary room really be attempting to influence the HG's? If so can't they get into legal trouble over this? I don't think Survivor would use tactics such as these. At least on there they use their minds once in awhile. If James pulls this off, I will stop watching because it is a set-up. Felt bad enough when Dick won last year, will not watch another rig job. Pathetic!!!!!

Good Morning all. Well Adam's nominations really surprised me. I really don't see him coming up with that idea on his own without some coercion from somewhere - either James, the DR or most likely both. With that said, its still not such a bad thing for Ryan and Natalie. The best case scenario would be that James loses POV comp and gets backdoored. The second best case scenario would be if he won POV, but kept his word not to save Sharon. Of course the worst case scenario would be if he won and reneged on his deal and saved Sharon - then either Natalie or Ryan would go on the block and James, Sharon, and either Natalie or Ryan would be the only one's voting, so either Natalie or Ryan could very well go home. It will sure be interesting to see how all this pans out.

i agree with you annon (9:56) while it is probably not illegal for bb to manipulate the game, it defeats the whole purpose. it would be interesting to follow this through to find out the truth of how much bb manipulates. what a farce if they do.

i think all the hg's are just nuts. honestly, its the craziest bunch of --this makes no sense--that i've ever seen. here we are trying to figure out WHAT any of their game plan is...when the reality is there probably is none. oh my...lets crown a winner and get on with a better bb10.

there are auditions in phila. next week at one of the historical sites in town. not a college, but of course there are a bizillion colleges and universities there. just MAYBE someone in bb reads this blog and can appreciate the fact that their audience is getting a little bored with the sterotypes cast. at least we can hope.

Of course BB is infuencing, and they do in Survivor too. If producers are invovled, then they always want to influence certain story lines..I mean, how did Dick and Daniel end up in the final two last year...because BB, not American told Eric what to do. Survivor has had a few people come off saying they were pushed and influenced. Reality tv is not real, it's a show. And honestly, if James left, it would be pretty boring in that house. JV

This is completely off topic. Except we often talk cats, so that makes it fit. My daughter is moving and has three cats. All were strays who showed up and made themselves at home. Now they are fat and happy. They like each other and her. A new place, though...not so much. That is the way of cats, of course. She took them to the new place last night, but wasn't home. She knew it was frightening for them, etc., but had no choice. They needed a safe place, even if it was a scary one. This morning, I went in to check on them and say a friendly word. No cats. None. No sound at all. They know me and my voice and I spent 10 minutes calling their names and looking in hiding places. No cats. Fortunately there also was no 'carpet surprises' which is what I had been expecting. I checked to see if all the doors were locked. I was making up all kinds of reasons that the cats were gone. The worst one was that I thought they might have climbed into the duct work. oh my. Then I heard a slight creak. I had already looked around the washer and dryer...but there two of them were. The social one came out and cuddled and she began to explore. The next one, who always is shy with everyone, came out next and allowed me to scratch ears and show her around the place. But the big one, the brave vocal one, was no where to be found. I called and called with no response. I thought maybe she only brought two with her last night. After a very long while I heard a noise and looked again behind the refrigerator. I had already looked there several times! He was on that defrost tray shelf opening in the back of the refrigerator. That was as scary as thinking he was gone. We talked, he sat on the window ledge and looked out. They are okay now. But that was my morning adventure.

Finally Friday!! I'm packing to head out of town for the weekend but had to get my morning fix.

The only way James will NOT end up on the block is to win POV. Adam has already told him if there is a replacement it will be James--unless he won POV--and he has sworn not to use it. I think James will stick to his word. It's his only chance to go further in the game. He needs to show he's trustworthy. Funny word to use when talking about anyone of these people. LOL

donna in al--it's so funny to read your comments and see the pic of your son. It's like James is talking to us!!

syd--don't think I'll find a Kinkos. I'm going to a small farming town in the middle of nowhere. Good thing I'll be busy trying to remember steps to about 10 different dances.

zoetawny--I've been thinking the same thing about She-rock's neck. It really does show her age! I predict a full body make-over for her when she sees how old she looks on TV.
And what about Julie Chen? Doesn't she know she is in Ca. and April?? Come on, CBS let's come up with some spring clothes for her. Ohhhh, we are caddy little bitches, aren't we??LOL :)

tom's--glad to see you back!

Nat. can tell Adam that he's her boy but she told Julie that Ryan was who she is closer to and would take to the end. Adam and James need to team up and start cleaning house.

Sounds like BB producers have been controlling more of the game this season than even last one with Eric. No way anything legal would come out of it. I'm sure the HG sign their lives away before being on the show and CBS will have covered their butt's on all issues.

The DR can say what they want but ultimetly it's up to the HG to vote or put the keys in the nom. wheel.

Nat. is getting desperate telling Adam that God will not protect now that he is not one of the "good" people!! Watch out Nat. desperation can make you do some crazy things......

Best line from last night..

Adam: Man, I am all alone, playing this game by myself.
James: Welcome to my island!

Gotta start packing...I'm leaving in 4 hours.

TS...good point. What was I thinking.

As for the show being rigged... I don't think BB would go that far, but surely everyone must realize that when the hgs go to the diary room as much as they do (if you're watching the feeds or BBAD), they aren't always going in to record a segment for the show that's being aired. They are probably being called in to discuss their strategy's, and the tech people probably do say things like; "Why not put up so and so", or "Why not go into an alliance with so and so". I don't see this as being rigged.

Adam didn't have to not put up James... I doubt the person in the DR said "You must not put James on the block". Adam might have been influenced by their suggestions, but that's Adam's weakness.

Just enjoy the game. I know last year I was appalled that ED and Danielle were the final two. I still enjoyed every minute prior to their getting there, even tho I couldn't stand them. Were they influenced in the DR with some of the things they did...probably. I still didn't cry that the show was rigged.

Sorry, but it irritates me to hear someone say that... the show is entertaining...however it all comes down.

I just hope James wins the POV and then leaves it alone...not saving anyone. I hope that in his loneliness he does not start trusting any of these people. No one will ever keep their word there, not even sweet Adam.

Yet, I hope James can leave the watched house and retreat to the relative peace of the other house and spend some calm, quality time with his dear friend Chelsia before real life starts again for them when the show ends.

I wouldn't be adverse to seeing everyone else turn on each other once their scapegoat James is gone.

On Wednesday's show when Adam told Julie that he never bawls because he is such a steady person, I laughed. Adam never bawls because his house-mates do not keep putting him on the block like they do with James and Sharon and Joshua. Even Sheila couldn't handle being on the block and violently broke down feeling betrayed and unloved. How soon they forget....it is lonely on the block. You doubt everyone.

Donna in Alabama said...

Sue, a friend of mine gave me an outside cat last summer. He is about 8 years old or so and has been "fixed". When I brought him home he just stayed around the house and always came when I called him. He had been there about a week and he didn't come when called. I would call him and walk all around the yard. I knew he wasn't gone, he was just out exploring his new world or he was staying in my dad's barn next door and eating at my niece's house. Sure enough after 5 days I opened the back door and there he was. He has not taken a sabatical since. He is always on the porch and doing a great job protecting our home from mice! He brings them to the door to show me he's doing good.
I live in the country on land that my great grandfather owned. My two brothers, my mom and my niece all have a home there on the 65 acres or so.

Nana, my son likes James and will get a kick out of what you said! I laughed out when I read it!

Ok, now we return you to our regularly scheduled blog:

ok here is a question IF James wins POV takes sharon off the block can't Adam then nominate James since he no longer holds the power of veto??

Donna in Alabama said...

No, the winner of the POV cannot be put up. But James has given his word he will leave nominations the same. If he is ever going to gain Natalie and Adam's trust he cannot take Sharon off the block.

I have been a reader here since BB6 but have just gotten the confidence or whatever to post. I really enjoy everyone's different views. Just want you to know I will be praying for you and your upcoming surgery.

meb said...

donna in al... you're going on the premise that he should keep his word to gain their trust. I'm not sure this new found trust would help him this late in the game. Let's face it, this is a game and if I were there I would be thinking "anything to win". May not sound nice, but come on... they're there to win.

I think James should just go ahead and take Sharon off if he wins POV. Then he can make deals all over the place because Sharon and he would have the power since Adam as HOH couldn't vote for the eviction (unless a tie) and there's only one of "them" left to vote, as the other two would be on the block, thus no tie could happen.

Of course, this is all based on the hope that James wins POV. I can hope can't I.

If he wins and doesn't take Sharon off the block, Sharon will surely go home and James is right back where he is today...on his island, alone, with another fight to stay in the house. So, again, I hope he's smart enough to use the POV (if he wins it). GO JAMES!

Anonymous said...

Sheila has not contributed to the game at all....other than bully Adam and act like she is better than he is...she needs to go...if not her, then Ryan..he irritates me. I dont care for James that much, but he is playing the game.

ty Donna for the response I couldnt remember if the winner of the pov can be nominated if they use it. I live about 5 miles from the barista where she works.

Donna in Alabama said...

I agree Terry, that is with Shiela and Ryan being the next two being evicted.
But in order for James to win in the F2, the other person would probably have to be Sheila. In the past the jury has voted mostly for the best game player but with these knuckle-heads. . .who knows??

Even though we are in So Cal it depends on the day. Last week in shorts and tank tops like the HG. This week it is cold and drizzling so pulled out the sweaters again. We have bi-polar weather! I am a bit south of the BB house in north San Diego though.
Love the screen shot with James and the towel/blanket. I'm sure he wishes he could just hide away from everyone for awhile.

Just watched a video of Nat. last night looking at a pic. of Matt and praying to God. I wonder if she thinks they are one in the same?? LOL She was a bit drunk....maybe confused too, because she has told EVERYONE Matt is not her boyfriend and she is done getting revenge for him!!

Adam usually doesn't cry...well, we've seen him cry 3 times so far!

Maybe the POV will be a water comp. Sheila has said she can't swim well and doesn't like to put her face in the water....
oh, but that would be showing favortism on the part of BB.

My question is....do you really think BB hasn't planned the comp. before the show ever starts and knows when they are going to use them?? Or do they wait each week to see who's left and then decide what to do??

Yes, I am packing.....

Just a thought. Is James some kind of hidden secret from us and the house guest, like Eric was America's Player? (Note:We knew Eric was AP)

I don't think BB would leave the rest of us out, but anything is possible. They dogged us on voting a previous player/mystery player back in, without stating to us that the one who just was voted out, which was James at the time was included in getting voted by the HG'S, which left our voting worthless.

With that, is there something else BB is forgetting to include us the viewers in on? I guess anything can happen in BB and BB can make it happen anyway they want it to.

Anonymous said...

Patty said: Just a thought. Is James some kind of hidden secret from us and the house guest, like Eric was America's Player? (Note:We knew Eric was AP)
***

I don't see what BB would gain by keeping it a secret. I thought at the beginning that Sheila was working for them, because of her quick changearounds. But, BB would have to tell us because they are trying to get viewers and that would create more interest.

But...my own personal opinion is that James has something going on with someone outside the house. He often 'shows' the camera things. I know past hgs have done that (Dr. Will) and were talking to us. But, call it a Natalie moment, I had a feeling it was him showing a buddy something. Maybe he has side bets going or something I have no idea about. The expression on his face changes for that moment...I think that is why I think he is 'talking' to someone outside the house. He doesn't pull his ear like Carol Burnett, but I was thinking something along those lines.

***
There is a possibility (I have seen web people write about it) that Adams HOH packages are messages from home. The baby food, the letter he received had references to slicing hard salami (whatever could that mean?...) Are his friends/family just making fun of him in the house...like calling him a baby? Or are they trying to steer him in a different direction? Whatever it is, either innocent or a real message, it doesn't seem to be making any difference to his game play. Unless the secret was to save James and work with him. Since the noms were just after reading the letter.

***
I want to read Natalie's hoh letter, so will go look for it now.

Nana - Have a safe trip.
I may have already written this before, would you all believe at one time we had 13 cat's, along with hamsters, what a combo, Back to BB, I'd like to see Sheila evicted, she's created more havoc, while riding other HG's coattails, I thought I'd pull a Natalie by pointing out BB's pattern, although I might confuse you all by comparing numbers, therefore briefly; We all have a pattern we follow, whether you realize your pattern or not
I confuse people primary because I tend to assume, everyone sooner or later identifies TV programming guidelines alongside numbers, but I probably already confused some of you.
Basically I believe this current BB is similar to BB 7 all stars 2006, season Finale for all-stars was held on Tuesday Sept 12, 2006, if this BB 8 season finale is on Tuesday April 29, here's how you know this week is double eviction, there are 6 remaining HG's
Natalie views her 9's differently, I refer 9 as being in Sept. Sure Wed falls on a 9, I flip my nine.
I believe last two remaining HG's will had a total of 11 letters combined amongst their names, one being a 7.

Of course it's only silly numbers.. It's easier for me to predict various outcomes in Sept, April is difficult, then again April has 5 letters, today's
the 4th, which = 9, flip the 9 someone with 6 letters is evicted on the 9th, Sharon or Shelia..Hahaha Need Tylenol, I really don't think of various ways, if I sense a pattern it's obvious, although this is the year of 8's, I'm incline to believe Adam very well could win.
Sorry I did write briefly, I'm on break, my ears are throbbing/aching horribly, does anyone have a home remedies?? I'm having a difficult time hearing anyone who calls me while their speaking on phone, earlier my daughter asked me about concert tickets, I stated ok sure, she of course spoke louder while shouting to her friends, he said he'll get 5tickets with shirts, Ok I'm doomed, I believe this particular concert is sold out, Jackie I bettcha you can pull some strings, Thanks everyone,
I'm headed to Dallas Texas Motor Speedway..I won't need ear plugs!

------------------

I don't think James needs Natalie and Ryan to trust him at this point because no matter what he does, they will put him on the block. On the other hand, if he saves Sharon, he and Sharon could at least get rid of one of them this week. They would then have more of a chance at winnning HOH and gettting rid of another one of them.

Hopefully, Adam is now playing for himself. Maybe he realizes that the only way he could possibly win this game is by being up against James in the final two. I think if he's sitting next to anyone else in the final two, he comes in second. Maybe he could beat Sharon but Sharon would have Josh, Chelsea and James definately voting for her, but I doubt it.

I totally agree with Meb that James should continue to play this game to win. If he wins the POV, he absolutely should save Sharon. With this group, James is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't anyway. They've broken their word to him and lied to him over and over. I'm so tired of the "good people" thinking it's alright for them to play the game that way, but James is a total rat if he does the same. If James keeps his word to Adam, he is screwed. Keeping Sharon in, is the only way he will have a chance to stay in this game to the end unless he wins every HOH or POV til BB10 is over, He owes these people nothing. Gnat, Ryan and Sheila couldn't care less about trusting James. They want him out, always have and will say and do whatever to accomplish that. Alas, Adam's backbone has not grown enough. He's so influenced by EVERYONE and can't seem to make up his own gameplay and stick with it. If Gnat finally gets her wish and gets James booted, and then gets Sharon booted, her cannibalization will start. She will probably dump Adam first as he can be unpredictable and does not always follow her wishes to the letter. Ryan and Sheila are much more pliant. Whether she keeps Sheila or Ryan will depend on her mood, I guess. She said she only trusts Ryan, but has now found out about Ryan's participation in backdooring Matt, so who knows? If all this transpires, I can't wait to hear the pretty speeches she gives to her "good people" for throwing them all under the bus while stiil trying to secure their votes in the end.

Which is why, again, I hope James screws them all by winning POV, using it to save Sharon, forcing one of those hypocrits to leave while he has the chance. THAT WOULD BE GOOD GAME PLAY, folks! If this situation were reversed, anyone of the "good people" would do the same.

And I'm surprised that the Gnat hasn't been struck down by a lightening bolt yet. What audacity she has to make that comment to Adam!

My word verification is zoogu. That about sums it up!

Ok do we all remember that Adams brother said he was really really smart. Almost too smart. Since Adam occupies most of his mind reading the bible I think he is going to back door James. Unless James wins the veto. Also Sheila is of better use to Adam in the Jury. Especially if James keeps winning competitions. Hum I love that Sheila is up HAHAHAHAHA

That is my evil laugh.

If Adam has to put up a replacement nom. it is going to be James, and he told him so when they made their deal. I think of backdooring as putting someone up that doesn't expect it. James knows he has to win to stay off the block.

RBennie said...

I'm surprised there is so much speculation about what James will do IF he wins POV. He will, without a doubt, use it to save Sharon. Of course he would promise Adam anything in hopes of not being put on the block. It would have been smarter for Adam to just go ahead and put him up outright, at least then if he won he would have to save himself. Now IF he wins he'll be safe and he can save Sharon. But we are getting ahead of ourselves, he hasn't won it yet. All winning streaks come to an end at some point.

Sue,

I absolutely hate when Emma finds a new hiding place in my house, and my house isn't that big! She manages to find a new place, and I'm freaked that she escaped outside somehow. When I got married her going outside at my house was off limits, but she could go outside when we would go to my parent's house. Now that's off limits since Clooney's passing.

I have 3 strays who come by daily. It started out that a "Mama" cat and her baby were outside playing. Last fall, the baby got stuck in our garage. He was too ferral for us to adopt him, so I let him go. A couple of days later, they both showed up, and I've been feeding them ever since. Their names are Mama and Jack. The third cat, who I'm pretty sure has a home is a boy, and is very sweet. Today after I patted his head, he rolled over and showed me his belly, a sure sign of him telling me we're cool. I named him Gandalf the white, because he's white and gray with beautiful blue eyes.

I admit it, I have no life :)

Nana, I was out this morning to get tested on my concussion from last week. I passed all the tests this time except for one. My appointment wasn't until Monday! Since I am a stickler for things like that this is a sign that I'm not quite back to "normal". Thanks for starting the chant.

James would be a moron not to use the POV. If he wins it and saves Sharon than it's Sheila, Ryan or Natalie going home. With Adam not eligible to compete for HOH it would give James & Sharon a 50/50 shot at winning HOH for the first time in a few weeks (since the week James won HOH). Huge advantage with only 5 people left in the game.

I want Jams to pin POV take Sharon off, then Adama has to put up Nat or Ryan, with Sharon and James voting the majority they could sure turn it around!!!
Hey now, wouldnt that be just sweet!

I just want to say that I'm not as much Pro-James as I am Anti-Team Christ. And that stance has nothing to do with religious beliefs and everything to do with hypocrisy.

This season reminds me of some elections when I'm not voting for someone to win as much as I'm voting against someone else.

Speaking of which, whatever happened to anybodybutHillary?

Donna, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine being in the weather predicament you are in right now. At least we Californians don't know when an earthquake will hit! Seriously, take care and if you have to go underground know that we are thinking of you!

I have been a faithfull reader and lurker. I start my day with you and end it with you. I wanted to tell you good luck on your knee replacement. I have had both of mine done, and its a relief to be pain free. The rehab is rough but worth it. I'll be thinking and praying that all goes well.

I don't know that people writing as anon. means anymore than signing your name. I for one want James to be gone and the sooner the better.

April is difficult, then again April has 5 letters, today's
the 4th, which = 9,

-- Wednesday April 30, 2008 is final episode. LOL Wednesday is your # 9 << indicates POV winner would have four letters. LOL
