The Mole Blog Meet Up Discussion Post

I don't watch The Mole (not sure why, just never got into it), but I know many of you do!

Here's your place to discuss the show with friends on the blog. Feel free to link articles, talk about the show or anything Mole!

Okay, that didn't quite rhyme, did it?

This post will be linked in the sidebar under the blog discussion post and may it be a great season!

I'm glad others on here like The Mole...I thought I was alone in that!

Hi Carla, got lots of comments about it after last weeks show. You will have plenty of company!

Hi Carla & Sydney,

I getting ready for another week of "The Mole".

I know it is way too early to predict who the mole is. I went back and watched it a second time. I am not ruling out Nicole as the mole, however I want to keep my eye on Alex.

Jon told all of them the tale of Robinson Crusoe (Alexander Selkirk) and how he "whined" all the time and was tossed off the ship to the nearest beach.

With that I was wondering if that is a clue about the mole.?.?.?

At the waterfall, Alex missed grabbing the bag by a long shot.

I just thought I would toss it out there and see what others are thinking about who they may think the mole is.

I will talk to all of you later and see what this episode brings. I may come back and think it is someone different after watching. It is kind of like watching BB. One can change their mind from week to week-LOL!

What's with the older woman READING her comments in the diary shots????

joy n said...

I'll be commenting later on this one. I need to concentrate.

Anonymous said...

I'm with Joyn-I will comment later. I need all my brain cells to figure these people out.

Zoetawny said...

I'm back but missed the first half. Will watch it again on my time.

Hi Patty! Welcome! Maybe you can help us make a good guess as to who the mole is.

Zoetawny said...

Who's the bossy guy, dark hair, with the bottle of water?

Zoetawny said...

Ok, it's Mark.

Zoetawny said...

Are you suspicious of the ones who won exemption? The Mole can't get executed off.

joy n said...

I was leaning towards Liz. Oh well. I still don't like Nicole.

Donna in Alabama said...

Hey Sydney, I have read your blogs and made comments on most.

Zoetawny said...

Sorry to see Liz go. Going to watch the Bachelorette on the flatscreen now.

TTFN!

Anonymous said...

Oh sugar! I had to take a phone call, so I did not see the last 18 minutes of the show.

I will have to watch it later and see if I still think the same way as week one.

Sydney said...

Thanks Donna -- I'm excited that you did!

SueGee said...

Zoetawny - you said "Are you suspicious of the ones who won exemption? The Mole can't get executed off."

The Mole really doesn't need an exemption because they will always Ace the quiz!! I would imagine they would get an exemption now and then to throw suspicion off...

I won't get to watch the show until later 'cause I'm old and I have to get up early LOL! But I love to read everyone's comments..

I think the mole might be Victoria. At one point in the show tonight , the host said " This is the mole's shirt" then threw the shirt to Victoria saying " here's your shirt " I know this may be a bit obvious , but in the first 2 seasons there were obvious clues like this for the viewers. This is my only guess at this time as all of the contestants have shown mole-like behavior( everyone trying to convince everyone else that they are the mole) I would probably be the worst player ever on this show!

Anonymous said...

That Bobby is a piece of work. Letting a girl push his lazy butt around in a wheelbarrow! If he's in that bad a shape, why is he even on the show??? I agree with the loud guy(?)that he's totally useless. And what's with Nicole threatening the life of the (again)loud guy(?)!! That's a little extreme, don't ya think? I was sorry to see Liz go,she was kind of funny and my age!Still have no idea who it might be,I liked Mark last week, this week, not so much.

Anonymous said...

Last week Victoria's helmet had a thumb print on it. I didn't see it on the others and have since erased the recording, so can't go back and double check. However, that, along with the shirt this time, may be the big clue.

As for Mark & Kristen getting exemption in the bike race. Although the Mole wouldn't need the exemption, by winning they also prevented $35,000 from going in the pot, so that would have been a good motive if either were Moles...although Kristen didn't seem very Mole-y by pushing Bobby around later when she could have just made him walk and waste more time.

So far, I'm only managing to figure out people that I don't think are the Mole. I'm not very suspicious of Ali, Kristen or Paul (the loud guy). Ali always seems to be working towards the group purpose and Paul fights with so many people I think he's trying to make others think he's the Mole so they get their questions wrong.

More likely candidates are Alex, Bobby, Victoria or Nicole (I hope it's not her, I don't want to listen to her for the whole show).

Caroline said...

Also, did anyone else notice....I think when they were deciding the teams for "Uphill Battle" and "Goal Oriented" that Craig (the heavy set guy) volunteered for Uphill Battle, but was overruled. That would have been a giant Mole-like sabotage if he had been on the team to ride the bike up the hill.

Anyone know for certain if he tried to volunteer for that? I unfortunately erased the episode before going back to check that.

meb said...

I'm enjoying the Mole. I can't believe that Nicole is literally using threatening language towards Alex (I think that's his name). She's supposed to be a doctor... I would think she'd be more professional and because she isn't, I think she may just be the mole... she's too much like Omarosa and we know what a fake she was.

I also got to watch In Plain Sight and I liked it a lot better this week than I did last. Glad I gave it another chance.

Last Comic Standing is stupid so far. Most of the ones I think are funny don't get picked. Hope it gets better once they get down to the final contestants.

Password is better than nothing. Rosie was good. I'd want her on there all the time.

Anonymous said...

meb,I agree that Rosie was good. I'd like to see her up against Neil Patrick Harris,he wasn't too shabby at the game either! I see Betty White will be on next time or soon.

Boy,we had quite the rounds of storms here last night and early this AM. Lots of rain, lightning and thunder, lots of trees down and it rained like a waterfall at times. Hope everybody else made it through the night okay.Is much cooler today,so stay cool all you in the hot zones.

RBennie said...

I still have no guess as to who the Mole is. Too soon to tell. What is wrong with Bobby? Does he have some kind of medical condition? Why would you come on a show like this when you know you can't even walk without pain? I really don't see him as the Mole - if he is, he's really overplaying it. How could he actually let a girl push him around in a wheelbarrow?

I absolutely can't stand Paul. If his goal is to make everyone hate him, then he's doing a fabulous job. I really hope he's not from NY, because its people like him that give us NYers a bad name! I don't blame Nicole for threatening to kill him, LOL. I'm pretty sure she wasn't serious! It's not like he's doing so great in the challenges that he can afford to trash talk other people.

I think Victoria is a good candidate for the Mole. Although she hasn't done anything suspicious yet, she said it herself last night that they were sucking so bad it was making the Mole's job easier.

RBennie said...

P.S. Forgot to mention that we are in day 4 of our heat wave in NYC. Expected to hit 97 today. When you step outside it feels like you're being smothered in a wool blanket! Sounds like fun huh!

Donna in Alabama said...

We should be getting the storms today and tomorrow. We have had a week of scorching heat and the next seven day forecast has nothing in the 90's, so the rain will cool us off for a while.

meb said...

We've been in temps at 101 in NC. Supposed to get some storms, so that should cool it off a little, at least into the high 90's. I'm up here from 20 years living in South Florida so I love the heat, but my daughter and grand kids are not thrilled.

I'm sitting here at work and I'm freezing from the AC...

I didn't get to comment last night as I was intently watching the show. Then I had to get into bed so I could get up for work this morning!

I have been trying to keep track of things, but this show is just crazy! My mind heads one way for a few minutes, then someone else does something Moley and I start thinking another way. I'll figure out who the Mole is though...when he or she walks out the door in the final show!

Glad there are so many Mole watchers out there - I like getting other people's persepctives on what's going on with the show. I'll have to keep an eye of Victoria now, too...

Great post everyone. Many clues to ponder on.

I am going to get with one of my neighbors who teaches Spanish. I hope she will be able to explain something to me. It is my understanding in talking with my son that "El Topo" refers to mole being male. If it would be a female they would refer to her as "La Topo". I do not know if this is a clue of any kind.

Pepsip-I noticed the thumbprint of the helmet in episode one. Also, the jersey thrown to her first. Along with that her jersey number was 4 M-O-L-E??? I do not know if the thumbprint on the back of her laptop was significant or not. Also Victoria went to Texas A&M-Kingsville. The mascot for Texas A&M-Kingsville is the "Javelinas" (Hoggies or Hogs) The game played was "When Pigs Fly".

There are getting to be way too many clues. I am so confused as to who the mole might be. One thing I know is, if Nicole is a doctor, I would not care to have her as mine after watching her on this show. Is she really a doctor? YIKES!!!

I for some reason am leaning toward Alex being the mole. That was my first guess of who the mole was. I guess time will tell.

I love reading everyone's post of who they think is the mole and why.
It gets us thinking and traveling many avenues.

Have a great day everyone!

Arlene said...

i was leaning toward Bobby being the Mole. He has been useless so far. I would be so embarrassed to have a woman push me in a wheel barrell through the whole challenge.

And with the two who did the uphill battle, I don't think either one of them are the moles only because they had a chance to take the cab up the hill which would have guaranteed them not adding $35K to the pot. And they had no idea if they were first or last when they reached their destination.

Well, don't know if this is the place to comment or not,but since nobody else has....can I just say that last night was a total waste as far as tv for me. I tried, really,I did,to watch Moment of Truth, but cannot take that show. Besides the awful questions they ask,the long drawn out,psuedo-dramatic pauses are insane. I have to say,I now officially hate it!
So did anybody find anything half way interesting on? I ended up reading for most of the night. Now Tuesday has joined Friday and Saturday as unwatchable in my book.

RBennie said...

I agree with you completely Sharon. When did Tuesday become such a lousy night for TV? I forced myself to watch Hell's Kitchen. No excitement there. It's starting to look like they just keep replaying the same tapes of him yelling. I gave up on TV after that and went to bed early.

Caroline said...

Last night the only thing I watched was Hell's Kitchen. It's very lackluster this season, but I keep watching cause there's nothing else. Too bad Jen didn't go home, she was definitely the worst. I think the final two should come down to Corey & Christina.

To fill up the rest of my evening last night I watched 27 Dresses. Oh my god was this movie adorable. Everyone in the movie was fantastically funny and almost all the characters are very likeable. Katherine Heigl & James Marsden were too cute together and totally believeable. Anyone who likes a good romantic comedy should definitely check this out. I give it two thumbs up.

Good morning all...my week from hell is over!! I still have my grandson for 3 more days but, at least, all my big committments are done. Saturday's line dance event was a blast but I'm exhausted. I danced 21,000 steps(that's 14 mi.). Sunday I didn't move much!! LOL

Jackie--it was sooooo good to see a new post from you. The "old" Jackie is back...great pictures and her wit and humor in writing.

I am liking The Mole but have no idea who it is! I will need a few more weeks to start really figuring it out. What is wrong with Bobby? Even I could have ran a little more in the soccer game and walked around looking for ceramic pigs!!!

As for the Bachlorette I agree with most that has been said. The 3 favs. seem to be Jeremy/Jason/Graham. My thoughts on each:

Jason-probably the best guy but I don't think he would move and D has said she wants to stay close to her family. I, also, don't think she has enough attraction to him to become an instant mom.

Graham-he is just another Brad...doesn't know what he wants. She seems to have the most physical attraction to him. I wonder how many "second chances" D will give him to try and get a committment from him. I don't know how much time they could be together since he plays basketball in Europe!

Jeremy--the frontrunner--in her eyes he seems to be the total package...is there just for her, has also lost his parents so he can relate to her, is easy on the eyes and their jobs are compatable. She sells real estate and he is a real estate attorney.

Next week the show is just a Q & A time with Deanna. Would love to see Brian as the next Bachelor--where do we start a petition?

Our weather SUCKS! Highs in the 50's, snow in the mountains, and 30mph winds. It is June isn't it??

I paid $4.24 for gas yesterday...it cost $67.00 to fill my car. That will last about 10 days!

orkmommy--sounds like Wisconsin was hit hard with rain...hope all is OK with your family and property.

Have a good day and I'm glad to be back to my "cyber home".

So what did everyone think of last night's episode?

I was sad to see Ali take the money and leave. For starters she was one of the few that was fun to watch, doing well in challenges and staying out of all the chaos. But also, I had totally eliminated her as a mole suspect, so her leaving doesn't help me at all. Bobby leaving is a little more helpful. I didn't really think he was the mole, but it was always a possibility. Earlier in the episode he had a conversation with Mark where he seemed to be leaning towards Paul as the mole. Assuming that's how he took his quiz, than Paul is not the mole.

As for who is the mole, my strongest suspects are Victoria & Craig. They lost all the money in the luge game for talking past the finish line. And Craig conveniently managed to find the dry cleaners with just enough time to change their clothes and get to the restaurant in time. Very suspicious.

meb said...

Haven't seen it yet Caroline... so many shows, so little time. Gonna watch it tonight and then I'll comment. Didn't want you hanging out here all by yourself.

Anonymous said...

Caroline-I celebrated my 29th Wedding Anniversary, so I did not get to watch The Mole. I will have to watch what I taped.

So far, I am leaning towards Alex or Craig as the mole. Nicole is still on my radar. I watched her and Alex very close in the beginning and my first thought was one of them. Craig popped up on my radar last week, so I will have to watch him a little closer also.

I am leaning towards the mole being a male. It is really too early to predict just who is the real mole. Heck, it's fun making a guess just to see if the predictions are anywhere close to who we think the mole is.

RBennie said...

Hi all,

I still don't have a definite suspect for the Mole. I'm leaning towards Victoria at the moment, but that could change. I definitely don't think its Paul or Nicole. I really can't stand Paul. I find him to be completely obnoxious and confrontational. Maybe its just his choice of playing style, but he really need to dial it down a few notches. He is way more annoying than Nicole, who is at least trying to keep quiet and out of trouble. I was surprised to see Ali take the money. She seemed to be really into the game. I guess she really thought she might be executed. Not too sorry to see Bobby go home. I never thought he was the Mole and it was almost painful to watch him in competitions.

I didn't find any of the behavior in the tobagon competition to be suspect. Who was really going to remember, after running down that course so fast, that they couldn't talk once they hit the finish?

Anonymous said...

I enjoyed the show last night...I was just too tired to comment when it ended!

I still have Victoria as my primary Mole suspect. But I never figure these things out ahead of time, so it's most likely that she's not the Mole! :)

Anonymous said...

last night was the first episode i finally got to see...my first observation 15 minutes into the show was that nicole and bobby were definately not the mole..
i'm leaning towards alex, mark or victoria...those are my picks, for now, lol

Anonymous said...

I agree Paul is really annoying!! I probably would have thrown my plate of food at him! I hope he is not the Mole and does not win!

I'm leaning toward Nicole, Mark or Victoria.

Glad Bobby is gone. All he did was complain about not being able to do anything.

Can't remember the name of the heavyset guy but I really like him. He seems to be there for the fun of the game and enjoying it all.

The show itself has been a good "filler" during the lull of reruns.

meb said...

I am so glad we have this blog, because my TV has messed up twice now in recording things and I couldn't get this to play. So thanks for posting guys, cause if not for you, I wouldn't know what was going on.

I'm sure I could watch it somewhere else, but it's sort of second hand now. I also read the write-up on TVSquad, and they went into great detail.

On to next week.

meb said...

Oh... meant to add that I'm so glad Bobby is gone, and as for my pick for the Mole... from the beginning I've felt it is Craig.

nana in the nw... he does seem to be there for the fun of it, and it just makes me feel that he's just flying under the radar and no one is paying attention. Yep! I think he's the Mole.

Now he'll probably go home next cause I jinxed him. Hope not.

lynn1 said...

I haven't had a chance to post but I am thinking the mole may be Victoria.
I am enjoying this season with the exception of hearing Paul and Nicole. Both of them are irritating.
I like Craig he is so into the game. He would be my 2nd choice to be the mole at this point in the game.
I will not miss Booby oh I mean Bobby at all. I am amazed he was chosen to be on the show. He certainly lacked stamina and strength to do anything.

Anonymous said...

I thought Bobby was the mole, now I KNOW that it's definitely not Paul because he attacked Bobby too much...if anything, the mole would have loved Bobby as he was such a bad player who kept a lot from The Pot

Caroline said...

For the first time last night I printed out the Mole Quiz from abc.com and followed along with the questions while watching the episode. Too many of the questions pertained to singling out Victoria. I finally relented about halfway through that she wasn't the Mole, it was too forced. So, at least I wasn't surprised when she went home...but I was certainly disappointed. I had spent a lot of time watching her, all for nothing now I guess.

I'm still not as suspicious of Mark as the general populace seems to be...but I am more interested in Clay now. I think Clay thought Victoria was the Mole (or was leading his coalition buddy, Mark into thinking that). I wonder if Clay lobbied so hard for the exemption knowing the journals would be burned and Mark wouldn't have notes and therefore would take his test thinking Victoria was the Mole. Maybe Victoria & Mark tied on the test and those 5 secs saved him? Maybe I'm totally off base...either way I'm watching Clay more closely.

As always I'm still suspicious about Craig, and for the first time I'm actually considering Nicole could be the Mole. I always assumed she was trying too hard to make others think it was her, therefore it couldn't be her. Maybe she's using some great reverse pyschology and she really is the Mole.

joy n said...

I'm thinking along the same lines about Nicole. So obvious that most seem to write her off as having little possibility of being the mole. I believe she knows exactly what she's doing.

meb said...

I'm still holding to Craig being the Mole, but he sure scared everyone this episode. I sort of started looking at Mark a little now too because he threw such a fit over their burning the journals. Me thinks he protesteth too much!

I'm liking the show better. It gets more interesting when it gets down to fewer players.

Anonymous said...

I am kinda leaning towards Clay at the moment, but that can change in a heartbeat...lol. I also wondered if Nicole's protests of trying to make them think she is the mole isn't the cover for really being the Mole. For now,I'm looking hard at Clay.

meb said...

This was a good one! I'm still hanging onto Craig as being the Mole, and tonight almost clinched it for me. Mark comes in a close second.

Craig just happens to be the one to say "exemption" at breakfast, so he gets to be the "captain" and hand out the assignments. And he just decided to be just plain mean by giving them all those stupid tasks instead of giving a few of them the bikes to ride. There were only like two bikes, so the others still couldn't have made it to their assigned destination in the 45 minutes.

He just seems too suspicious to me.

I thought it was time for the blond to go. Next Paul, and then I'll be happy.

lynn1 said...

I have to confess I was surprised that Kristen got executed last night. Craig and her were on my short list of who could be the Mole.
I thought Kristen could be the Mole because she has been flying under the radar, was physically able to do most of the challenges and was a eye-candy for the show. I was wrong.
One of the things I have tried to watch for at the executions is who looks the least stressed out when their name is called.
I noticed last night that Paul did not look at all stressed out. I hope he is not the Mole because I am so ready to see him get in the SUV and leave!
MEB I agree with you that Craig and Mark seem the most likely to be the mole.
I have to say that once I think someone is the Mole they tend to be executed the very next week. I am batting a 1000 on that with Bobby, Victoria and Kristen.
Assuming I continue to guess wrong then I would say my last 2 guesses would be Paul or Alex. That would make one of them the mole.

Caroline said...

lynn...I have the opposite problem you're having. Everytime I decide 100% someone is not the mole (Liz, Ali, Bobby...now Kristen) that person goes home. So it's really not helping me much either.

Plus, the people that are left are really starting to annoy me. Mark is a whiny baby since his journal was burned. Clay was a complete a-hole last night and would have deserved it if Paul beat the snot out of him. And although it was only a lemon, I think Clay should have been ejected from the show for throwing it at Paul, it's completely ridiculous to behave that way. Paul's always been a loud mouth, button pusher and I find that annoying and let's not forget the lovely Dr. Whiner. So at this point the only one left I like seems to be Alex.

I'm leaning towards Alex & Craig as mole suspects at the moment. Craig has done a lot of odd stuff, especially last night. And Alex always kind of sits back and lets everyone self destruct. He didn't even try to talk anyone into competing in that final challenge last night...it's like he's allowing them to sabotage themselves and just making sure to stay in the midst of things to look less obvious.

Anonymous said...

See,I have been leaning towards Clay as the mole and when he got no penalty or reprimand for throwing something at Paul,it made me go...hmmm.He was totally out of line and throwing his education and superiority around,he's just gone down a few pegs in my book. Why do these educated people on this show come across as total asses,re Dr. Whiner(good name)? She has thrown her "status" around more than once. And could Mark be any more of a big, whiny baby? Was whining an asset to be on this show? And,I agree, that Craig getting "perks" by playing sick made it smell kinda fishy(keeping his journal, etc).

Anonymous said...

I'm finding myself really enjoying the show. I don't feel "all caught up in it" like TAR or BB but it's been fun watching the challenges and interactions.

Paul is a JERK!! I'm glad Clay bated him...it just made Paul look worse.

Don't like Nicole and her "better than you are" attitude.

Craig seems like a really nice guy and last night said the show was making him question his morals and ethics in his behavior. He could be the mole, but.....

I think it is either Mark or Alex. Mark is very intense and acts like he really wants to win(which could be his gameplan) and Alex just goes with the flow hasn't really drawn alot of attention to himself.

Does anyone know when the finale is??

Anonymous said...

i don't know if anybody is still following the mole or have we all jumped onto the BB10 boat?...but my 2 cents after tonight's show...my front runner was alex, guess that theory was shot all to h@!!...so from my original picks that would leave me with mark...still a thoery...i'm still almost positive it's not nicole...but my new mole-ish suspect is craig...wasn't he the one that guessed they would earn 20,000 in the bungee jump?...at the end of the show they lingered on a wine barrel that showed 20 over 70...70 is what they earned for the wine bottles, so that's my logic....
probably next week, craig will be gone...oh well, that's why i don't play this game i just follow along

now back to your regularly scheduled programming of BB10...

I think it is either Craig or Nicole. Mark is too competitive! If it is Craig, he is playing the mole in a sneaky "I'm fat and can't do anything" type of way. If it is Nicole, I think she is doing it brilliantly. If you are the mole, you either have to be sneaky or blatant. She is being SOOOO blatant that people will probably think that it is not her.

(I really think it is Craig though)

meb said...

Craig has been my pick as the mole from the beginning and nothing has happened to change my mind. He just seems too easy going, like he doesn't have a worry about being executed. Time will tell.

RBennie said...

Okay, so I'm finally ready to make my Mole prediction. Up to this point I have really been stumped as to who the Mole might be. Well I'm still stumped, but I'm leaning toward Craig being the Mole. I just can't see it being Nicole. She's just too blatant. If she is the Mole, she's a good one. As someone else said, Mark seems too competitive to be the Mole. He always wants to win money for the pot and the way he got so upset about burning his diary, if that was faking he's a great actor. I really, really hate Paul and contrary to his opinion, I don't think he's smart enough to be the Mole. Although Clay would appear to be a good candidate for the Mole, I just don't think its him.

Anonymous said...

I'm still watching The Mole, even though my pick, Alex, was removed last night. I think I'll go with Paul next. No reason except he is just "jerky" enough to be IT!!

meb said...

Man... good episode... great challenges. I have to admit that Nicole with all her wrong answers on the intelligence game made her really suspect, but my Craig was standing right there with her doing absolutely nothing, so I still think he's the Mole.

I loved them having to jump off the bridge plank. I just don't know if I could do that. So scary. Craig would have been the winner of putting $$ in the pot had he not gone over. I think he thought he was under-guessing so he wouldn't be suspect, assuming that more than one person would hit the target, if not the bullseye. He could have been helping with building the pot when he didn't really mean to. Again, I'm believing he IS the Mole!

RBennie said...

What confused me about the whole "guess how much you'll make" thing is that it appeared that they were able to see everyone else's jump and see how far off the mark they were. With that said, then why were they guessing so high when no one was hitting the target? Nicole went last, so she should have known it was no where near $28,000. Maybe the editing just made it look like they could see each jump.

I also think that they are all trying so hard to make each other think they are the Mole, that they are all sabotaging missions here and there and making it so darn difficult for us to figure out who really is the Mole.

Erica said...

I don't think that they could see the target...that is why they had them stand clear way over on the side of the bridge. I think they could see the person on the plank from there, but not actually down into the ravene.

Erica said...

Everyone ready for this evening?

Erica said...

I'm still on the Nicole or Craig train. Even after Nicole told her mother she was going to throw it. I'm glad that the mole didn't sabotage the family one. :)

Yep, I'm thinking it's Nicole. She has made too many "mistakes" in recent weeks. That whole thing of throwing the quiz was just for her Mom's benefit.

I must say Paul's wife and daughter are really cute and that little girl is one smart cookie. Someone spends alot of time with her. He must not be such a jerk in real life.

How many more weeks are there?

Who got eliminated last night,I was watching something else. I am just not impressed with The Mole this time round,it's not holding my interest, don't know why.

Sharon...Clay went home this week.

Ok, so here's my ideas..bare with me. I don't think Nicole is the Mole. I think Alex, Clay & Mark all think she is though. Clay & Mark wanted to get Alex drunk last week so that he'd make a mistake on the quiz and get more wrong then them, because they all think they're voting for the same person. Then this week Clay & Mark both voted for Nicole again, hence the tie, Clay was slower. Assuming this is true, I'm thinking Craig is the Mole and both Nicole & Paul have been voting for him, thus staying alive. (I don't believe Craig has ever come up on the screen to find out if he's executed or not, suspicious)

The other flipside of this is that Clay & Nicole both voted for Craig and Clay was just slower and got eliminated, which would also still make Nicole not the Mole. But this could still be wrong too if Paul & Clay voted for Craig, with Clay being slower.

The two key factors to this are...did Alex really vote for Nicole the week he went home? And who is Paul voting for?

Does anyone think Mark is the Mole? I just can't see it, but tons of people at abc.com think he is the Mole.

I am thinking that Paul is the Mole. His behavior in the last 2 shows have caused me to go in his direction.
The specific behaviors I question are last week when Paul was driving the van he made everyone so miserable that they all went to the other van. That would give who ever it is that communicates with the mole the opportunity to give him info that he needed.
In the challenge in the vineyard he stopped directing the runners in the vineyard to argue with Nicole. He gave wrong co-ordinates to the runners plus he skipped a couple of clues to get them to go searching for the bottles of wine out of sequence.
On this week's show he led them 8blocks in the wrong direction from where the clues were.
When he answered the questions about his wife he passed on several questions making it where Mark had to answer 4 questions correctly instead of 3.
He had a private discussion with Clay mostly pushing the idea that Nicole was the Mole. He was stretched out on the bed and kept his eyes covered with his arm the whole time they were talking. Apparently Clay bought into that idea and now Clay is gone.
I don't have a great track record about chosing the Mole but for now I am liking Paul. That probably means next week Paul will be executed! LOL

Sorry this post is late--I missed the show this week and just watched in online. I have been leaning toward Craig, but I saw something in the show that makes me very suspicious of Mark. In a flashback scene from the previous episode, everything was in black and white, but in the background was Mark, who was running on the treadmill wearing a red shirt. I rewinded it and watched it again to make sure. Did anyone else notice that? I figure that has to mean something, right?

I am really leaning towards Craig after last night.

What are you all thinking?

Well I am still batting a thousand. If I say I supect someone of being the Mole then the next show that person goes home. With that in mind and since I like Craig and Mark much better than Nicole I am going to say the Mole is Nicole.
Not that I would ever consider it, but it is a good thing that I am not a contestant on the Mole, I would be the first to be executed.

I'm still leaning towards Craig, although it just might be Mark. I really don't think its Nicole, but if it is, she was brilliant. She did so many really obvious suspicious things that it just made you think she was working really hard to make people think she was the Mole. Paul really mellowed out at the end there. I guess being the loud, brash, New Yorker was just part of his game plan and not necessarily his true nature. Hopefully Nicole is not really as insufferable as she appears to be, LOL.

Unless Mark got lucky with the exemption (because he is the other choice), I am convinced that NICOLE is the mole. Paul leaned on CRAIG and he got booted out so it's obviously not him.

I have always thought it was Nicole. It is impossible for Mark to be the mole because he didnt sabotage,; he kept winning.
Nicole is the only one sabotaging a lot. Im not gonna overthink it.

Craig could still be the Mole. Paul seemed very displeased with the way he took the test which makes it entirely possible (although I have no specific reason to think this way) that he split his vote between Craig and someone else. I think Mark was making Paul nervous. If that's the case Craig could still be the Mole. Nicole said she thought it was him, so if Nicole and Craig voted straight Craig and Paul split his vote, that could have sent him home. Would have been helpful if Mark had to take the test since he appears to be voting Nicole. I'm not saying I believe this is what occurred, just that it's a possibility that still allows for Craig being the Mole.

I believe it is Craig still after tonight. A slight chance, for me, that it may be Nicole, and no chance at all that it is Mark. What do you all think? Do we have to wait a whole week to find out?

lynn1 said...

I guess I must be a dim wit. I really thought we would find out who the Mole is tonight.
I am hoping that the Mole is Nicole but I am probably wrong. I thought she was very rude when trying to complete her individaul challenge.

I really hope the Mole isn't Mark. It would just seem silly to me. As far as putting money into the pot it seems like Mark & Kristen were the ones who put the most money in. So, if Mark turns out to be the Mole, than he earned more money for the winner than any other contestant earned. So it seems silly if the Mole earned all the money for the winner. That being said, last night was really the first time I could see the possibility of it being Mark. He stalls for a lot of time by overthinking things. And it's convenient that he never used his map but still completed his clue challenge first.

I'm still thinking it's Craig because he never seems worried about anything major and I still don't think his name/pic has ever come up on screen during the elimination part.

I hated Nicole in the beginning but now I'm kinda hoping she wins it all. She's mellowed out a bit and I now find her stubborness amusing. As far as her behavior last night on the clue hunt, Nicole obviously is not a people person, so I love that her challenges involved asking people for help or favors. It was like the Mole sticking it to her for being a brat back in the beginning.

Okay, it just hit me upside the head like a two-by-four. Of course Craig is the Mole! Just think about it. Do you really think Craig, with his laid back attitude and less than stellar performance in comps could have survived in the game this long if he wasn't the Mole. I'm not saying I think he lacks brain power or anything, but I do thing several people who are gone now would have outlasted him if he wasn't the Mole. Okay, there's my brainstorm for what its worth.

I have believed from the beginning that Craig is the mole.

In a way I wish he weren't so that he would have a chance at the money. I can't imagine the Mole would get $500,000 for the show.

Anyway, it's Craig... done deal! Especially how he came alive at the last competition. That was a lot of running for a fat man, and they probably wanted him to get there first so he could get the briefcase on the Mole. That way, no one would be helped. He just couldn't quite make it, too much weight to carry around.

Karen: if you're still awake...

Mark won! ($420,000)

Craig is the Mole.

Nicole also knew it was Craig, just got more questions wrong.

Wow I finally got one right! I didn't peg him right from the beginning, but I knew Craig was the Mole. Congrats to Mark. He worked hard for the money. Kudos to Nicole also, she did a great job. Her strategy might have been annoying, but it worked. Did anyone else laugh out loud when they showed all the "clues" they gave as to who was the mole? I mean come on, what kind of super geek/super sleuth would you have to be to figure that stuff out. The only thing I thought was obvious was that Craig' name was never called at any of the eliminations.

The Mole is one of the most intelligent and complex reality series on television and despite its not so good time slot, there are a lot of fans who would hate to see it be cancelled again. Please sign if your are a fan of this series and send it to anyone who might sign. Don't let The Mole be subjected to its final execution!
