Hello is anybody out there?

joy n said...

Wow! 9 hours difference between the first and last teams leaving for Cambodia.

joy n said...

I'm here!

RBennie said...

Hi Joy - wow glad your here.

Jackie S. said...

So am I after scurrying around all day doing things like laundry.

RBennie said...

I'm worried for your guys Joy. They are very far behind.

joy n said...

My team is at the back of the pack. Aja and Ty. Ken and Tina used that fast forward last week and are only 2 hours ahead of the second team. Seems a waste.

joy n said...

Yeah, Jackie, our team may be in trouble.

joy n said...

Spoke too soon? I guess they all caught up again.

Donna in Alabama said...

What place are my frat boys?

Donna in Alabama said...

Do they always misread their directions?

RBennie said...

Poor frat boys - Hi Donna

joy n said...

Aja and Ty finally caught up.

RBennie said...

Way to go Terence and Sarah

Donna in Alabama said...

Hi all, maybe I won't lose my connection tonight!!

joy n said...

Uh, oh!

Anonymous said...

Donna in AL said... What place are my frat boys?...Do they always misread their directions?

That's what Philminated the Comic Book Geeks. I have never seen so many couples misread the clues in one season.

RBennie said...

Oh crap! My guys boat just had to break down.

Donna in Alabama said...

Maybe my frat boys have a chance to catch up and not be lagging to the last two teams.

RBennie said...

Hi Jackie, I just saw that you were here.

RBennie said...

That's just wrong - why can't they have another boat?

RBennie said...

The divorcees are messing up yet again

Anonymous said...

RBennie said...
That's just wrong - why can't they have another boat?

I guess it is like is like when a car breaks down, the luck of the draw. When that happenes they send another car, but the couple has to wait for it to arrive.

Hey, Jackie! Loved your "rat poison" post.

joy n said...

The "teeth" thing was funny!

Petals said...

Alright Dallas! Hey guys! Jax - how're you feeling?

RBennie said...

Hi Petals. Well I don't think Ken & Tina will be #1 today.

joy n said...

They don't read clues and they can't see what's in front of them, sometimes.

Jackie S. said...

Feeling like I have to go to work in the morning.
;-)

Anonymous said...

Are these group of contestants a$$hat$ or what?

Why are they speaking Spanish when asking questions/making statements and/or giving directions?

You are in CAMBDODIA not Colombia.

WTF?!!!? You'd think the Asian-looking people would be a hint. @@

UGGHHH, such stupidity!

joy n said...

A old familiar feeling, huh?

Anonymous said...

Did I miss Tina hitting her chest?

Anonymous said...

The Frat Bros did the same thing.

Ken and Tina were accepted by Phil. I guess they didn't have to hit their chests.

RBennie said...

Aww, I liked those 2

RBennie said...

What! Since when do they do that?

joy n said...

Ty just said a moment ago that they were destined to win this....or maybe not. Guess we're out of the pool, Jackie.

Terence's speeding just got them a 30 minute penalty for the start-off next week.

Unknown said...

Jackie, have a great day a work tomorrow!

Why was the speeding penalty assessed on the next leg, and not this one?

Donna in Alabama said...

What did they do?

joy n said...

They said it wouldn't effect the outcome for tonight. They have to be penalized somehow. This is a first, I think. Do you know, Jackie?

RBennie said...

The only time I've ever seen a penalty given was when they didn't follow a part of the clue and the penalty always came at the pit stop. This is something new.

RBennie said...

Nice blogging with you guys. Talk to you tomorrow. Good luck on the first day back at work Jackie.

joy n said...

Maybe Phil didn't get the speeding info until after the pit stop was completed? But he said it wouldn't have effected tonight's outcome. They came in 3rd. Did all the rest arrive there more than 30 minutes after them?

joy n said...

Oh well.

Hope your boss showers mercy on you tomorrow, Jackie.

G'nite!

Anonymous said...

Jackie, have a great time on your 1st day back to work...kidding!!!

Petals, we are #2 for this week. Yippee.

I thought the same thing that the speeding info was not received in time. I missed the beginning as we had just gotten back from Ringling Museum and winter home in Sarasota FL. Will post some pics when I get time. Long day. Also a stop at Seminole Hard Rock Casino, never have been and doubt I will be again. We were there an hour and I made $114. Not bad!

Petals said...

Delee - I'm happily surprised by our team!
Guess the first poster curse is broken?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN WEEK, everyone!!!

meb said...

lynn1... our Nick and Starr made it in first. And I agreed with Nick when he hid the clue he got from the echo chamber and told one of the others that he hadn't found it yet. This is not being mean, it's playing the game.

I can't believe how Andrew and Dan are so slow on the uptake. They could see everyone else turning the handle in a frenzy and then they go back time after time and slowly crank the thing. Sorry donna in al and nana in nw, but they are strange kids.

I really don't like any of the contestants this year (except ours of course lynn1). I was actually praying that the divorcees would come in last this time. Guess God had better things to do than pay attention to a reality show.

Sorry Jackie and joyn... I was pulling for Aja & Ty to get there before the boys. Then I was hoping it was non-elimination pit stops, but guess it wasn't mean to be.

meb said...

I'll try to proof read before I post next time.

Meant to tell everyone I have a couple new posts over on my blog, if anyone cares to check them out. Just click on the meb and it'll get you there! Thanks.

lynn1 said...

meb,
Yay for our team. I missed most of the show but did get to see the teams arrive at the pit stop. I didn't get to see the part where Nick hid the clue to the Echo chamber.
I will say it does not pay to be helpful to the other teams. The geeks were helpful to Ken & Tina and it costed them first place.
In Tar there are 2 rules to remember if you want to win.
1. READ the clues & directions.

2. Remember this is a competition. The difference between winning it all and losing it all could be a matter of seconds.

I was sorry to see Aja & Ty get eliminated.

My WV is cowootle. I think that should be a real word it sounds funny and makes me smile when I say it.

Good morning all! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Nana left a comment on one of my blog posts that made me laugh and tear up at the same time! You have to read it. In order to completely understand her comment, you need to read this first.

Anonymous said...

Good morning all!

Thanks for the comment about my post on your blog...being a grandma is the best!! I was so glad to have the time to be there for her.

granny--glad you got to see Mamma Mia with your daughter. I can't wait for it to come out on video!!

As for TAR--

Donna and I have the frat boys in our pool but I must say they are really Negative Nellies. It seems like they go through life life Eyeore....with a dark cloud over their heads. What they don't get is they make the problems for themselves!!

That being said I'm still rooting for them because I like to win!

If I had to pick a fav. it would probably be Dallas/Toni. They have stopped to help another team and he has been very respectful of his Mom.

I would have done the same thing Nick did with the clue. It is a game and that's how you win. I view that differently than a few weeks ago when he told someone he would help them and then didn't. JMO

Next week should be a non-elimination(??) There hasn't been one yet.

Gotta go....grandkids arriving in about 15 mins.

guess I should proofread...the first comment was in response to okmommy.

RBennie said...

Hi Orkmommy,

I just read your two blog posts and boy do I remember those days. Not so much for myself, because where I grew up, everyone was in the same financial situation. It wasn't until I was much older and in a better financial situation that I realized we were pretty darn poor when I was growing up. So now I can't stand the thought of my kids missing out or being excluded from doing something. So I know exactly how you felt.

Jennasmom said...

Orkmommy,
Enjoyed the blog! Yes, I, too, am trying my best to remember all the things we are supposed to take to school, dance class, church, etc. All her little friends seem to be in so many activities & I feel awful when we have to miss one. But I guess that is part of their learning process, too. They need to learn that we don't always get what we what and sometimes there are disappointments in life. Yeah, I tell myself that, but I still try to make sure she doesn't have any of those disappointments! LOL

Hey, we are still hanging in there on TAR, Orkmommy. Thought Tina would completely blow it last night! Sorry, you were philiminated last night Jackie & Joyn. I really wanted the divorcees or the frat boys to go. Couldn't believe the frat boys couldn't figure out the pump. Bet they could figure out how to work a beer keg! And I just don't like the divorcees. (Sorry, Margo & Sue!) Glad to see the mom & son doing well. Mom is sure trying!

RBennie said...

Other than rooting for Terence & Sarah (I have to, they are my team in the pool, and I really do like Sarah), I also like Toni & Dallas. He seems like a really loving and protective son. He doesn't remind me of Teenwolf at all, LOL.

RBennie said...

Jennasmom - you are teamed with Orkmommy in the Survivor poo. You are teamed with karen for TAR. It can get confusing can't it?

Donna in Alabama said...

Ha, Survivor poo, Rbennie, I like that!
I like the mom and son team too. Maybe all of us moms just identify with them the best. I am still rooting for the frat boys but they just can't seem to get it together.

My WV is vicked...

RBennie said...

LOL Donna, that was strictly a typo. I love my Survivor just as much as TAR.

RBennie said...

MEB - your pumpkin game was cute, but I could never get past 29!

Anonymous said...

I am having a hard time liking the divorced girls, they are just so darn catty! I didn't understand why Tina didn't ask more questions from bystanders. And from the previews - it seems as if trouble may be ahead for her and Ken. uh oh. Terrence really needs an attitude adjustment or date someone weaker then him since he doesn't like to be left in the dust. lol

Jennasmom - I was surprised our team came in third - I thought it would be worst.

Have a great day everyone - Karen in MD/DC

Anonymous said...

oops - looks like they came in 4th - may be wishful thinking!

Karen

joy n said...

Guess I'm free to root for somebody else now. Toni and Dallas and Nick and Starr.

I like Sarah, too, but can't stand Terence. Don't like the divorcee's cattiness. Just can't get into Tina and Ken, either.

Andrew and Dan are likable but aren't the swiftest birds on the planet.

Anonymous said...

Rbennie - I got 30! Na na ne boo boo!

:-)

RBennie said...

Oh you just had to go there Orkmommy! Now I have to go back and play the pumpkin game again, LOL.

RBennie said...

Darn it - 29 again!

Donna in Alabama said...

I was so afraid the pumpkin game was one where a face was going to pop up and scream, I didn't even try to get them! I have gotten two defferent ones with the scary screaming faces already! maybe I'll go back now and try since I know it's just a game. ha ha

RBennie said...

LOL Donna - you big chicken! Let us know how many you find.

Anonymous said...

What pumpkin game?

Donna in Alabama said...

I got 31!!!
Cluck...cluck!!

RBennie said...

Oh no you didn't! Oh hell, I'm trying it again.

Donna in Alabama said...

Oh yes, I did! Na na na boo boo!!
I'm going for 33 now!

RBennie said...

Okay, I improved by 1 - I got 30 this time. I'm not doing it again, LOL - my boss almost caught me this time.

Donna in Alabama said...

Should I screen print and show you I got 32? Whoo hooo!! If only my frat boys were as competitive!!

RBennie said...

LOL, no I'll take your word for it Donna. I've always been too competitive for my own good!

Donna in Alabama said...

I'm bored and my boss is out sick today! So is our warehouse manager and the owner of the company...so i'm playing!

Anonymous said...

I just found Jackie's Town USA. How did I not hear about this before? How do I get listed on the Where in the world are you?

meb said...

You guys are so funny. I got all 32 after the 4th try. Loneseven sent me an email that said something like "that was fun for a minute". Too funny.

Anon: I got an email and sent it out to all my cyber friends who I knew emails for. (man was that bad english or what).

Now everybody go and check out my new post on my blog. You gotta read this clip... Astounding info. and scary.

meb said...

orkmommy... Laurie started Jackies Town USA during the period when Jackie was in the hospital so we'd have a place to post and not have 10 MILLION comments in one post here.

When she reads your comment, she'll list you as a Where In The World Are You?

Laurie, I just noticed, I'm not on that either??? I'm in NC. Can I beadded also? I am a follower of your blog.

Anonymous said...

meb--your game is killing me!! The best I can get is 32 and a sore hand from clicking the mouse. Has anybody got 33?

DWTS tonight...I wonder what dances they are doing? Ohhhh, I just remembered Michael Flatley is one of the judges tonight!

Jackie--how was the first day back at work??

meb said...

AHHH... nana in the nw... I got all 33... I typo'd pm that other post. Ya gotta be fast.

joyn... thanks for the comment you left on my blog. You're absolutely right... if the USA doesn't get it's stuff together, we're going to be so far behind some of these other countries, and that is the most frightening part of that whole message.

Jennasmom said...

Rbennie -- you are so right! Sorry, Karen - WE are still hanging in there with Ken & Tina. Yes, I get confused! I have a 4-yr-old! 'Nuff said!

Anonymous said...

jennasmom--I don't have a 4-yr. old and I'm confused all the time!! LOL

meb--you lost me....."I typo'd pm that other post. Ya gotta be fast." I'm not fast....very slow figuring things out sometimes...please explain!

my wv is: outamoni....I read it to say "Outta money"...it's right after the stock market crash of the last few weeks!! LOL

Anonymous said...

Jackie--I know you are probably exhausted from working BUT when you have time could we please have a DWTS Part 3?? Part 2 is going over 200 tonight.

THANK YOU!!!!

TOTALLY OFF TOPIC:

I am listening to the news while I type and they just did a report on the shooting of Jennifer Hudson's family....the report said "Gunshots are so common in that neighborhood that no one even reported hearing the gunshots. That gave the shooter a chance to escape with the little boy. His life may have been saved if police had got a report earlier" How tragic!!!!

wv are funny tonight: mine is....craggly....that's how I feel sometimes!

Laurie said...

Hi OrkMommy. I will be happy to list you on the where in the world are you. I'll put Meb up there too.

I'm going to put the links to my Chicago pics up there too.

Anyone is welcome to post. If anyone wants to post new things, let me know and I'll give you the blogging privileges!

meb said...

nana in the nw... I typo'd again. I meant to say I made a mistake in that other post and said I only got 32, but I actually got all 33 of them. You have to be fast to get them all. Keep trying.

Donna in Alabama said...

Thanks MEB and ORKmommy for commenting on my blog.

BTW, Jackie has a new post up now.
