Just Some Stuff

Dateline New Jersey: What some are saying appears to be an alien abduction happened earlier this morning on the gritty urban streets of Plainfield, NJ. According to witnesses, a group of people were innocently standing on a street corner near the Friends Shaker Meeting House when a bright light ensconced them, leaving only their shoes behind. Bystander Jorge Garcia said, "It was a blinding light. I had to close my eyes. When I opened them, there were only shoes where there once were people."

Okay, to be honest ... I saw these shoes and had to photograph them. I know. I'm an odd duck.

I'll be back later tonight with The Amazing Race post and hope to see you there!

Hi Jackie, You are challenging us to come up with a reason for the shoes? Nothing really creative hits me and nothing tops your alien abduction story. It is the best. About all I can do is say that shoes, like Raggedy Ann and her toy friends, come to life when their owners leave. The shoes walked out for a confab on the sidewalk and were so deep in chatting, they didn't notice you in time to run back to their closet. What was so urgent they had to meet outside? : ) Sue

Maybe they want to overthrow mankind and rule the world?

Around here we have shoes tied together and hanging on overhead wires. I'll bet they're friends with your shoes, and yours are planning a rescue of mine.

I think someone was moving and the bottom of the bag fell out and they did not realise it. Or they were donations to a thrift store.
LOL whatever!

It is snowing here, I want to go back down south! :-( I guess the weatherman is right that winter will be here this week. Kids and friends coming up for the PSU/Michigan State game, Sat, they want to tailgate, no way for me. Brrr, not my idea of a fun time freezing your fingers and toes off. The game starts at 3:30 but tailgating starts at 10a. Just not a fun time.

delee...snow... oh man I wish I were back in Florida... I just don't like cold weather. Will not make it there to live again tho cause my family loves it here and I prefer to be close to them. We all have choices to make.

I've been on a roll today and have posted a few more things over on my blog if anyone wants to look. Just some things I found that I thought were interesting, maybe sad, maybe funny, but always worth the effort to post them.

Later...

I finally got my group list up on my email thingamajig. Thanks Sydney, for getting that list out to me.

That is an odd lot of shoes, isn't it? Maybe somebody just got new carpeting? I will be watching the skies tonight tho, just in case.

36 degrees here and heading down. We're supposed to get possibly six inches of snow. Hope that's wrong.

Wow! All that talk of snow! It was 60, with blue skys today in Portland. I just spend 4 1/2 hours at the zoo with my grandson, and couldn't have asked for a better day to do it!

Sounds like the northwest got all the sunshine today. The northeast has been dark, damp and chilly all day. I'm counting the days til spring, too, already.

Okay, you may think I do not know what cold is but it is "butt" cold here in Alabama. The high today was in the 40's but for the south, that is cold.

Yeah, Jackie no more rat poison! Hope you regain your stamina since you are off that. This blog has made me want to start taking pictures of nature again...thanks for your ingenius eye for beauty.
