The Amazing Race Final Three Teams on The Early Show

Here's the video from this morning's The Early Show. I love the "worst team ever" bit!

Worst team ever was pretty funny. That was a great interview so thanks for sharing. As a first-time viewer I have one question. Is there a monetary prize for 2nd and 3rd place? I sure hope so!

I was watching some clips over at CBS.com and one with Phil talking to Nick and Starr (pre-finale) was interesting.

They wore camouflage as a dedication to their brother who is serving in Iraq. Throughout the race, they also wore bracelets with his name and division on them.

Nick is dating Starr's best friend and "expects to propose" to her.

Dallas and Toni (pre-elim) and Nick and Starr all said they hoped to run against Dan and Andrew in the finale because they knew they could beat them.

Worse team ever vs most awesome team? They were funny at times but I tend to agree with Charlie, too. Awesome is not a word that entered my head as I watched these guys.

Laurie - There are monetary prizes, but nowhere near a million. Definitely more than a month's pay for them, though!

Jackie, thanks. I'm glad they get something for coming in 2nd and 3rd.

I'm still amazed the Frat Boys did it.

Oh, and yes I will be watching it next season!

Jackie... thanks so much for this video. I tried all day to get it to open (I was at work) and it just wouldn't do it. I thought I wouldn't get to see it and then there it was! Again... thanks.

See guys, there was a reason they wore the camouflage. And I thought they looked good in it too.

Craig Ferguson just got back from his mom's funeral in Scotland. She died on 12/1. He's spending all of tonight's show talking about his mom, sharing stories.

Thanks for posting this video, Jackie! I'm still not convinced that Ken and Tina are going to make it. . . . no matter what they're saying!

I commented on the following on the previous AR post, but since there are two new ones since then, I thought I'd copy it here . . .
sizzie & Becky - The green dino was for a special dinosaur exhibit that was going on at the zoo at the time. It's long gone now, but was kinda cool while it was there.

Standard Insurance is a sponsor of the zoo, which would explain why we had it in our building.

I was really surprised that nobody even mentioned it today at work. I asked a couple of people if they watch the show, but nobody that I asked did. I should have gone down to the coffee shop and checked with them, but it's on the wrong side of payday so I just had my tea.

Terry, you lived in Portland back in '67? What part of town? I think I can say with some conviction that it doesn't look the same today, no matter where you were!!

Thank you PDXGranny for the explanation and for resaying it here...I missed it on the other post.

I didn't get to watch the early episodes, so didn't know much about the teams until reading some yesterday. I guess only Ken and Tina will know if they are meant to be together, but they seem an odd couple to me. (fortnately for them, they don't need my approval though :) )

This may have been posted before and I missed it but some people here (me too) noticed that Toni and Dallas weren't at the finish line. Were they still stuck in Russia without passports?
I was a "Dandrew" rooter because Dan is from my home state of Delaware..the poor bumbling idiots didn't even get airtime after the first 15 minutes..lol There is a write up on them in our newspaper. If anyone is interested its www.delawareonline.com and scroll down and click on the amazing race link.

Sissie, thank you for the link, I will go look in just a minute. When Dallas left the bag in the Russian taxi, it had his passport in it. Toni had hers with her. They could not leave Russian until the passport had been located and returned. That took place while the finale race was going on, so they wouldn't leave Russia. A few posts ago a very good article is linked that gives an interview with Toni and Dallas. I love Toni's attitude, especially. Dallas said he was dating Starr (do I have that right??)

Sissy, Thank you for that link. It told me a couple of things I had been curious about. Here is one of them.

"Honig watched the finale Sunday in New York City with Lappitt, the other 10 teams that competed and their invited guests, including his mother, Joy, a Wilmington teacher"

PDX....hi gal! I lived in South East side...dont even ask me to remember street names..we lived in an apt, and one of the tenants father owned Barts Wharf, we went there for our first anniversary. I also worked at a place called Trixler brokerage, right down by the water. My husband was a barber and was going to school at night...then haircuts were like $1.75 and people were into long hair at the time! He became a computer programer and we moved back to Orange County where the money was better.
My son had his first birthday there, and my Mom came up to see us..she rode in a big rig with a trucker and slept in the sleeper cab....she was so cute to do that...just to see us for two days, then he turned around and drove back....happy memories for sure.
did anyone watch Regis & Kelly? They were on there and toni & Dallas were inthe audience, Starr said she was dating him since the show, It never dawned on me her name was Starr Spangler! Dallas last name is strange something like InBimbo....they did play on the name.
What a nice couple of kids Nick & Star are.....glad they won

Good Morning everyone! Wow I have been so crazy busy. I can't believe I haven't been on here since last week! My late congrats go out to Nick and Starr and to Lynn1 and MEB for their wins. Sorry we don't have a million for you Lynn1 and MEB, but you at least get bragging rights, LOL.

Has anyone seen the doggie video with the stray dog trying to save the one that was hit by a car. It made me cry.

Sissy... I've formerly from Delaware too, but I still wasn't rooting for Dandrew... but then why should I when Lynn1 and I had Nick and Starr. And yes, we do have bragging rights.

Mrgo, I saw that video...sad that a human couldn't bother to get out and help save the dog, but another dog did it in the midst of heavy traffic.

I think the announcer said they didn't know the outcome. I think they should follow up on it.

I read that after the rescue, officers say the rescue dog ran away. Several people expressed interest in adopting the dog, but they can't find him. The other dog died. Very sad.

PDX, thanks for clearing up about the diosaur.

I was in Portland several years ago for a Beagle Mom Reunion. What a beautiful place. I always said if I ever HAD to leave Texas I would go to OR. I felt that way until I went to another reunion in Seattle. That would be my second choice now.... but OR is the third.

This was one of the best seasons ever on AR. I really enjoyed the shows.

Thanks joyn... I so wanted to know what happened. Sad on both counts, the dog died and the other dog can't be found.
