The Celebrity Apprentice - Season Two Blog Talk

Unlike many of the shows I set up a blog discussion post for, I do watch Celebrity Apprentice. I doubt I'll be able to watch it as it airs each week due to other writing obligations. The show is on every Sunday night and, if I'm remembering right, it's going to be two-hour episodes every week for the season. It starts at 9 PM ET/PT.

I watched the premiere tonight and think the right person got fired. I never liked that person anyhow. So there. While I won't be watching the show on time each week, everyone is invited to discuss the happenings here. Spoilers don't bother me when I know the show has aired.

so who got fired?

Jackie S. said...

Andrew Dice Clay. Dennis Rodman and Herschel (sp?) Walker (project manager) were also in the boardroom. I've always thought Clay was obnoxious and full of himself. Glad he's gone.

Terry is a Texan! said...

oh gosh me too, he is obnoxious and full of himself...thanks Jackie

Anonymous said...

the only problem is Rodman did
nothing.

I do not think he will be able to
take orders and work with anyone.

Anonymous said...

I disliked him from the get-go. I found him very insulting and as both of you said, full of himself.

Rodman was almost as bad. He seems to be a very lazy person off the court.

Herschel seemed like a down to earth business person and not a "star".

Of the women, the poker player would drive me up a tree. I found her very rude.

Thanks, Jackie. It will depend on what is on opposite The Apprentice to determine if I will watch it.

Hi Guys. I watched last night and was glad to see Dice go. How delusional is he? He's the greatest stand up comic ever? I think not. I'm only sorry 2 people couldn't go, because Rodman needs to be out of there too. The poker player was very irritating. She's smart and has good ideas, but she's way too bossy and loud. Should be interesting to see how the season unfolds.

Anonymous said...

Hopefully, D. Rodman will be the next to go. It was a joy to see Clay leave.

Sydney said...

Just as I thought I'd sworn off the Donald, looks like he put together a not so bad group. On the whole I thought the men would do better, as I known Clint Black and SCott Hamilton are men of integrity, and Sandra Bullock's hubby has things to contribute. Rodman is kind of a jerk, but he is very visible. And I really ended up liking Tom Green last night. Perhaps now we have a clue as to why Drew Barrymore married him for a few years there... I thought Herschel Walker is serious about doing well and the quiet guy may carry a big stick too.

OMG, I just wanted to get a hold of Dice's hair and say DUDE, even Billy Ray Cyrus moved on from his mullet. Leve the sideburns if you want, but cut off the fuzzy, too long stuff in the back.

As to the gals, impressed that the ladies were respectful of Joan when led. I liked her style in working with them all. I put a few comments on the post before TAR about how it feels to see Joan in HIgh Def on a 60 inch screen. Wow.

Has Melissa ever made a buck solo?

I was surprised, but glad, that the ladies won.

I just wanted the webisode of the premiere of CA. I love it!!!
I admit that I am a fan of Joan, always have been. I know she is controversial, but I love her (I even have alot of her jewelry from QVC), and she was a class act in this task.
Clay lived up to his reputation.

Anonymous said...

Dice didn't stand a chance. Too selfish and immature. I would have liked to have seen him maybe go against his persona, but that might be too much to ask. I would have figured Rodman would have been the first.

meb said...

Like most of you I am so glad Andrew Dice Clay is gone! Never could stand him.

I was impressed with Joan... I did think maybe her daughter took over a little in the directing of what should happen next.

The poker player drove me nuts, but by the same token, she'll get things done, so she may be worth keeping. Probably not how the women feel about her though.

I think this might be a good one to continue watching.

meb said...

Jackie... I'm commenting here because Bachelor has so many comments, wasn't sure if you'd see this... but....are you ok? You haven't posted AI, which usually you write a little something up... Just thinking about you. Let us know if all is well.

Jackie S. said...

I've just been running on tired a lot.

Anonymous said...

I did not watch the whole show, but it sure seemed like Trump was rude to Khloe Kardashian.

meb said...

I was sad to see Hamilton go... he was funny when Joey said to Trump that they both had had testicular cancer and he (Joey) had one removed, he didn't know about Hamilton. Hamilton said: "And now we have a set". Made me laugh out loud.

I wish Joey had been fired instead, but Trump had to be fair since it was Scott's responsibility... and I did think the EEE name was sort of dumb.

Women have won both competitions. YAY! Hope they can keep that going.

monty924 said...

I'm happy to see Tom Greene gone. I think Dennis Rodman needed to be fired though as well. I can see this shaping up as this:

Dennis will be an A$$ next week, in Clint Black's face and all. Dennis will walk off or be fired. Trump will then bring him back for the finale to see if either of the final two can actually manage him. Ugh!

I thought the show was good with editing and all tonight. At one point, I thought the men were ahead of the women the way they made it appear.

Still lovin the Celebrity Apprentice. :)

I just wrote you over there at the TAR blog I was just wondering if anyone was here too. ty for info i just found it. I am on the west coast so I won't be watching this tonight since I ahve to work at 6am tomorrow morning i was just seeing if someone would say who gets fired :)

Karen said...

I can't believe Rodman is still in he should have been fired 2 weeks ago

Sydney said...

goodness -- that Baldwin showed up again!

Sydney said...

gee, I think they told the sopranos guy to do that loud badgering just to shake things up.

Karen said...

Where is everyone just you and me sydney I thought more ppl would be here but then again I wander if anyone knows this blog is here

Sydney said...

Well, I did go back and say that we;d be here but yes, I don't think many people know you can live Blog on Apprentice.

Wow, Joan is such a true pro. She has worked the circuit and worked it HARD all her life. She may have everything money can buy but she has no issues in being a great server.

Karen said...

Someone blogged that Sandra bullucks hubby is on here who is her hubby??

Sydney said...

Thanks for keeping me company Karen! I bet every guest has been told to make it really tough on these guys. It's hard to think each of the teams 5 guests would all be full of so many demands.

I have worked filling the needs of celebs all my adult life and it is interesting to see them on the other side.

Sydney said...

Her hubby is the guy who does the motorcycle show...

HIs hair is slicked back. HE is the one who said he de-pubed the bathroom. Jesse James or something like that. Does that help you know which one?

Karen said...

What do you do for them? I am a caregiver for the Elderly that have alzheimer/demntia and hospice residents its a great job...

As for Joan Rivers i like her but I am not impressed with her daughter

Karen said...

OH My heck i had no idea that was her hubby i like him very soft spoken on here i think if he stays low key he may go far

Sydney said...

they must have given the guests and unlimited expense account.

Wow Karen, I am bowing to you! Crank out the pedistal and step on it! Both my parents had dementia for many years (mom still is alive and on year 14. We have had a lot of help for both and I am always amazed that people would do this job for total strangers. It is NOT easy!!

I managed rock bands early on, and also was a stylist (image consultant/costumer) for the stars of TV shows... also did their publicity stuff, mags, red carpet etc... I also produced events in between for about a decade that dealt with celebs too. I could write a book but won't,lol. Nothing compared to your work! Amazing!

Sydney said...

I agree about Sandra's hubby.

Sydney said...

gee, did Dennis snort some coke when he went in the limo with those guys?

Sydney said...

Interesting that Rodman took his sunglesses off in the car, when he was finally alone.

Sydney said...

*crickets*

Karen said...

ty sydney its an awesome job i love it there is never a dull moment at work its like having 31 kids that we all take care of. its alot of work but it is something i enjoy doing and am glad i am there to help. We get cards from there families quite often thanking us and its really nice to know we are appreciated

your job sound interesting also :o)

Karen said...

i don't think rodman has ever taken his sunglasses off cept when he was playing basketball. he is one strange person

monty924 said...

Well like TAR, I've missed the whole episode but I'm here now. Looks like Dennis may be a goner finally? I hope so. Hi Sydney and Karen.

Karen said...

Hi ya Monty
dang i sure hope he goes tonight i still have a bit till its on but syd is keeping me updated lol

Sydney said...

hi Monty!

monty924 said...

Wow, Jesse was right on the mark about the difference between Dennis and Hershel. No comparison. Hershel made something and did something with it and his life, and Dennis just wants to live high and party.

Karen said...

who won the task tonight the ladies or men?? and who is in the boardroom?

monty924 said...

They're all still in the boardroom at this commercial break. Its not looking good for Dennis, but that could be the editing. I think he went up against Joan Rivers tonight as project manager. They haven't said who won yet either.

Jackie S. said...

Karen - Don't know yet. I'd say the men PROBABLY lost and, if they did, Dennis has to go. His alcohol use is out of control.

monty924 said...

Women WON!!!

Jackie S. said...

The men lost

Karen said...

Dennis was PM for teh men this could be interesting tonight lol can't wait to see it in the morning will watch it befor i go to work

monty924 said...

No, Joan wasn't the PM. My bad.

monty924 said...

Dennis fired!

Anonymous said...

Dennis doesn't have a clue. Hope he sees the light one day.

Jackie S. said...

Dennis is gone. Hopefully he will do something about the alcohol abuse. Joan Rivers likened it to an intervention.

Karen said...

ty ty ty monty and sydney for teh company in here and jackie for the info who was fired i am so glad to hear Dennis gone have a good night all gonna watch TAR and go to bed, goodnight all :)

Sydney said...

ANd I agree with Joan Jackie. I love Jesse, btw. IT was really sad, real and poignant. And yes, Denis heard it,had to defend himself, even though he may not realize how futile his defenses looked to everyone. It was all on tape to, televised. That is rough. You see he could not say a thing in the car driving out.. they interviewed him later.

Everyone including the Donald handled that really well. For once I'm impressed.

monty924 said...

That was a sad ending or rather just sad period. I'm going back to watch it from the beginning and then to bed. See everyone later. Nite!

dla said...

That was just sad. I cannot remember ever crying during the boardroom in the past, but I definitely shed a few tears this evening.

I hope Dennis finds the help that he needs.

meb said...

dla... I'm a little slow in commenting, but I had to add to yours. I too actually got choked up over Dennis... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I'm sitting there crying over Dennis Rodman, whom I just never liked in the first place.

But, I did. It doesn't make any difference how you feel about someone... if they have a problem and can't face it, you can really empathize with them, and he is in such denial, you had to feel sorry for him. He said in the car he'd have to deal with it later. I hope he meant his drinking.

Really sad.

That said: Jesse James is married to Sandra Bullock! I would never have guessed that. I like him tho and he has a good head on his shoulders. I love her, so a good match, even tho he's not purty like she is.

joy n said...

Unfortunately, Dennis was on Jay Leno one night this week tearing down the guys on the show and claiming not to have a drinking problem. I think it's difficult to feel sorry for someone who refuses to face his own demons and believes everyone else has a problem.

Anonymous said...

What a freakin'jerk Trump is for defaming Chloe that way.... needed a reason to fire her. Like he is some moral compass. Boy, I have stories about him, things I saw with my own eyes... and I was just almost enjoying this season...haven't watched the last two.

Anonymous said...

Well, that kind of sucked. Clint and Melissa should have been fired for the poor jobs they did with "their" projects. Canning Khloe and Tionne for such dumb reasons (which related to nothing they did with the projects) seemed a bit staged in order to keep the "bigger" celebrities. I'm no fan of Khloe, but that whole project was Clint's baby, beg inning to end. Ridiculous! And Tionne in no way deserved to go before Melissa.

dla said...

Feh. Tonight's episode left a bad taste in my mouth.

Joan has been fairly well behaved until tonight, and then she had to go and make it personal. I get that they were frustrated with Clint, as even I was frustrated with Clint through the TV, but comments about hoping to never see him again, turning her back on a red carpet and throwing out his CD's made her sound petty, juvenile and unprofessional.

Clint and Melissa deserved to go tonight. They were project managers, their products were not good, and they should have gone home.

Tionne got the shaft. Khloe was humiliated and lectured on national television for past actions for which she has accepted responsibility.

I just sat and shook my head. Even Ivanka and Donny Jr. looked surprised.

Anonymous said...

While I don't believe Khloe would have won, she should not have been fired for a non-work related incident that did not even happen during filming. Dennis was another story. His drinking affected his game. As far as Tionne, why her? Good gravy. It was a ridiculous episode. Clint and Melissa should have been fired. It seems somewhat as though there's a pecking order and it doesn't seem fair.

Anonymous said...

Dennis Rodman got tossed from The London Hotel in W. Hollywood on Friday night for getting too touchy-feely with female guests. He was asked to leave after several guests complained about his behavior. He was slapping and groping female guests, as well as yelling obscenities. It was also reported that he scared some children. A hotel staffer says "He is the most obscene and out of control guest I've ever seen up here."

meb said...

Rodman is such an introvert that when he drinks, he thinks he's having fun and that people around him are enjoying him. He is so sad. His family needs to do an intervention before he does something really stupid and hurts himself or someone else.

I felt bad for Cloe and definitely Clint should have been the one to go. Trump didn't have to embarrass her on TV like that. If he felt she should go, he could have let her go in private and then made up some type of excuse for her absence. Then he could have fired Clint and it would have made sense to all of us. But Trump is Trump.

I'm still enjoying this season, even tho there have been some real jerks on so far...

Joan did go a little too far in her dislike for what Clint did. She was right, but she didn't need to make it personal... it wasn't. It was simply Clint being a "know it all, no one can do it better than I", jerk!

And Trump could have fired both people from Clint's side, including Clint instead of firing the "volunteer". Another dumb Trump move that he's obviously made before.

OK.. that all being said, looking forward to next week.

Sydney said...

Anyone here?

monty924 said...

Here! How are they going to stretch this out to two hours?

Sydney said...

My husband said that after what Trump did to that young woman last time he lost interest in watching.

It's interesting to watch how defensive JOan gets for Melissa and vice verse. They are of course close, but they are THAT close.

dla, I totally agree that Joan went way overboard talking about rejecting Clint. I missed what he did that was so bad.... can anyone tell me? I don't want to go back and watch it again.

monty924 said...

I guess this is why the show will still be two hours tonight. I don't understand why Joan takes all of this so personal. I get the Mother Hen thing, truly I do. I just think this season seems a little staged and phoney to me. Its drama, but in a wierd way. Last season with Stevie B and Pierce seemed more real to me.

Oh well, lol.

Sydney said...

I was wondering about that myself -- they are in the boardroom at the top of the hour. Maybe there's lots of drama and they needed the hour to cover it. Maybe JOan makes a huge stink!

becky said...

Sydney, The Donald is a jerk. I too thought he overreacted last week. Bryan will be fired.

becky said...

I agree with the thought that Joan takes the Momma Hen a bit much. I think it will bite her on the butt. I imagine they have hidden cameras everywhere.

I have thought Annie was a snake from day one. I can't believe they are just now catching on to that. I do think that Ivana Jr. has picked up on how she wants to run the show -- except putting her neck on the line by taking the project manager job where she has to put up or shut up.

Sydney said...

well that firing was a wusy one too, based on nothing.

Sydney said...

monty, I may be watching TAR on tape now, as my husband isn't so into Trump. If you are still commenting on this new task, I'll stay in here.

Sydney said...

HI Becky -- just saw you're in here too. And good point...I agree with what Ivanka said... nice she spoke up in that kind of way for once.

becky said...

I think Annie will undermine Melissa just because Joan told her off.

I don't know how I missed this link before.

becky said...

Hey, Sydney, glad to see that some came over from AR. I see that I have been at this party before! LOL Must be those Margaritas at the last stop! LOL

My favorite player this year is Herschel Walker.

monty924 said...

Sorry, still here. I just haven't commented since the new task started. Its funny how well Joan is working with Clint this week, huh? She wanted him gone yesterday last week, and now things are great.

This task is setting up to be Melissa against Joan in a way. If Joan loses this, she will blame the golfer. IMO. :)

Sydney said...

well I am enjoying seeing Clint because he and my husband look a like. But I guess he did a really bad job last show? I missed the first half.

Sydney said...

Monty are you gone?

becky said...

Annie and Brandie are being really biotchs to Melissa.

Wonder what Brandi will give these people in exchange for their money? I know, that is tacky. So I will take it a step further.... I wonder what Annie is promising all these men she is calling what Brandi will do for them?

monty924 said...

Whaaaa. Melissa is a cry baby, and a poor team player. Who cares if Annie hated Brandy before or not, at least they're working together now to raise a lot of money and win the task.

Hey, I called it earlier... Joan's already blaming the golfer. ;)

becky said...

Sydney, Clint did a very vulgar ad last week. It was about a detergant and he made it about masterbation. Can explain more later. I always liked Clint. I have said if they ever do the Roy Rogers story, Clint should play the lead.

monty924 said...

Ding, ding, ding! Great strategy. Get Annie's rivals and use their money against here. That girl has smarts!

monty924 said...

This one will not end tonight. There's way too much going on to end it with a board room at 10:50+.

becky said...

Oh, don't leave the roosters to select the chicken for the pot. The women were better selectors of the models.

Melissa is starting to get on MY nerves!

The the donald (not The Donald) is the spy for his dad?

Has anyone else noticed that TD thinks anything he or his kids do is just wonderful, top of the line, yada, yada, yada? I do not like people who blow their own horn.

Sydney said...

Monty -- I guess Melissa is feeling ganged up on since she said ti Trump that she thought Brandi should be fired, then Annie reamed her a new one, but now they're buttering each other up and leaving Melissa out. That Annie is... interesting.

BEcky -- I remember the ad. i thought it was about his having an affair, a mistress. And I was totally surprised that's what he came up with. So I guess he should have been fired as the project manager.

becky said...

. i thought it was about his having an affair, a mistress. And I was totally surprised that's what he came up with.

It was his "wife" and he was using the "clue word" (I guess he and his wife use) for sex -- doing the wash. The punch line when the wife said she was ready was -- "It was a small load, so I took care of it myself."

becky said...

Sydney said...

BEcky, Donald reinvented the term hornblower....!

monty924 said...

Unfortunately, that is a joke I've heard before from friends. It was NOT appropriate for the ALL folks or their ad though. It was a bad idea from the start and Clint wouldn't entertain anything other than his original thought.

Next week looks like fun with Pierce in tow. Nite ladies. I'm watching the first half of 60 Minutes and then what I missed of TAR. Steve Wynn is a fascinating character to me and that's on my tape at the moment. I love his casinos in Vegas, beginning with the Golden Nugget through the Mirage and on.

See you tomorrow night for DWTS. :)

Sydney said...

Monty __ we just did that. Watched the Wynn thing and Andy Rooney and Tar.

dla said...

Hi everyone! That was interesting, as I was also wondering how in the world they could stretch that out to two hours.

I am finding it highly entertaining to watch "true colors" come out as the celebs get more comfortable in the process and more exhausted, so the walls of defense are coming down. Lotsa backstabbing, catty remarks and not much teamwork!

I was proud of Joan (and Melissa, in a way) for the first few tasks, as I felt they had behaved. But this melodrama, backstabbing and throwing champagne glasses is for the birds. I am not entertained, and they are actually getting on my nerves. Just do the work and leave the diva act out of it.

It was so obvious that Brian was just not into it. I am glad he went home to his family vs. staying and pulling the team down.

Anonymous said...

I love Jesse James on this show. To me, he is this year's Trace Adkins. He is very productive. I hope he survives this task, so that when it is his turn to be PM or do fundraising for his charity, he can pull out all the stops.

dla said...

Anon, I completely agree about Jessie being similar in many ways to Trace. Humble, hard worker, gets the job done without the drama. I also want to see him survive to make some $$$ for his charity.

meb said...

I always liked Joan Rivers, but she is totally out of line here and Melissa should shut her mouth. They are excellent in their field, they certainly aren't winning any fans with this type of behavior.

I do have to say Annie gets overbearing, but she gets the job done. Glad their team didn't win tho.

Sydney said...

Oh, this auction is painful with Clint as auctioneer. Why doesn't joan jump in?

Sydney said...

Am I in here alone? I think I am. But I am folding laundry and it's on in the background.

monty924 said...

Lo Sydney...

That auction was absolutely painful until Joan stepped in to rally the troops. It will be interesting to see which team won the most. It looked like team Annie had them beat to a pulp from the edit, but I woudn't count out that it could be the edit.

Karen said...

I am here Sydney not watching Apprentice yet justlurking at comments lol

Karen said...

I don't like annie i think she is too bossy but that is my opionion i don't like the way clint has been acting so i am hoping Jesse wins this whole thing :)

Karen said...

Sydney who won the challenge tonight?

monty924 said...

Just had a huge computer snaffu, but I'm back. KOTU lost and it was once again the Rivers hour, but it's looking very personal tonight. What is with this season?

Melissa wants to quit, Joan calling Annie Hitler in the boardroom and then crying when her team was in the boardroom. And.... Natalie was fired.

Sydney, did you fall in the washing machine?

Anonymous said...

Joan can be vicious. Melissa sticks up for her whether her mom's right or wrong. I don't like either of them after this show. No excuse for throwing out a name like Hitler. They should be ashamed.

Karen said...

I don't like Mellisa either she is a whiner I wish she would go away and if her mom would keep her mputh shut mellisa would be gone

Anonymous said...

Trump is such a jerk, telling Jesse he must be awful good in bed for Sandra to be married to him. But then, what would Trump know about being a nice guy?

I wish he'd send Joan home this time but have a feeling Clint is going.

monty924 said...

I have a feeling Hershel is gone. It was his idea to do the yogurt that totally ruined the other dish if you are going to package it as a meal. JMO. :)

Anonymous said...

Oh. this show just has to be fixed. They fire Hershel? Well, the two control freaks are left now.

becky said...

I think the donald made a mistake. Clint has trouble getting along with everyone. I used to like him, but not any more.

monty924 said...

Wow, I called that one. I'm sad to see Hershel gone. :(

And this soap opera continues on. Tune in next week to see how Annie and the Rivers survive. Nite folks!

Anonymous said...

It's just that Clint wasn't even supposed to do the cooking. He took over and then Joan had to fix his salty mess.

Anonymous said...

Same for me where Clint is concerned. He always thinks he knows best and never entertains anyone else's opinion. His wife must be a saint.

Brent McKee said...

No surprise that Phil Hellmuth called Annie - they're both pros at the Ultimate Bet Poker site. Unlike golf there are no heavy duty rivalries in poker; the great players are too busy going after the fish.

Joan Rivers says "Poker Player" like it's a swear word. As a sometimes amateur poker player, I strongly resent that.

Annie is a very aggressive person and like a lot of great players is highly intelligent (she has an MA in psychology and had nearly completed her PhD in Pyscho-linguistics when she burned out). A great poker player has to be aggressive and a great female poker player has to be extremely aggressive, and use every tool at her disposal.

Sydney said...

Oh sorry to drop the ball with Monty and Karen being on... I thought I was the only one so I put my computer back on the desk after laundry was done and didn't check again. Then I switched to paying bills, and turned off Trump before it was ovah. SO I never saw who got fired. Trump is now producing this show simply for ratings, and he is keeping the most dramatic ones for ratings. NOt sure if he thinks the audience doesn't get that or knows they do and couldn't care less.

Flav of Love was trashy, must see bottom feeding TV but somehow it was easier to stomach than the self-serving Donald and spawn show.

joy n said...

Amen to that, Syd!

Anonymous said...

Joan acts like such a baby. Blocking her ears like a child so as not to hear what Annie had to say to Donald but obviously still listening because she pulled her fingers out to argue again with what Annie was saying. What a hypocrite after all the nasty things she has said about everyone.

dla said...

Well, that gives me three weeks in a row that have been disappointing based on celeb behavior, with most dismay based on Joan and Melissa's actions. Whoa! Talk about childish, catty and vindictive!

I am quickly becoming disenchanted with the whole thing, which always seems to happen when The Donald is involved.

Sydney said...

I'm with you dla.

Karen said...

Anyone here tonight ??

Karen said...

Syd there you are how are you? I sure hope one of the Rivers go tonight i want to see Clint or Jesse win what are they donig tonight I can't get the live link to work on justtv web site

Sydney said...

Surprised that Clint turned out to not look so good. I mena, I thought he was one of those really nice Southern boys. I know he always did a lot of wonderful things for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. ANd once I was in a bookstore and was helping him find a book of poetry (this was waay back when), and he was a doll. When I thanked him for his work with St. Jude he was truly humble.

You'd think ppl would go on this show thinking they will help their career not hurt the public's opinion of them... What Trump did to Kardashian was so wrong... but I haven't watched enough to know if Clint has shot himself in the foot on camera or if it's the edits.

I'm watching In Treatment on HBO instead!!!

Karen said...

Anyone know who got the boot tonight???

joy n said...

Melissa was fired and threw a huge hissy fit when it happened. Then, of course Mommy followed her and said she's not coming back. Talk about poor sports!

Melissa screamed at the receptionist and some of the crew. She demanded they bring her things to her and said she wouldn't get on the elevator until they were brought to her. She also said she wouldn't be back for any interviews.

She repeatedly caleed Brandi and Annie whores. Joan told Clint and Jessie they now have a nazi and a follower. She said she's had a 43 year career and she doesn't work with scum. Melissa then said, "They're two little (#%&@*) pitviper whores". A lot of their words were censored.

Joan told Annie she was a piece of s--t and Brandi that she was a stupid broad. She accused Brandi of "It's all about money for you". Well, duh, that is what the show is about...money for charity. She told Annie her people give money (for charity) with blood on it. "I've met your people in Vegas for 40 years and none of them have last names." "You're a poker player. A poker player. That's beyond white trash." "Poker players are trash, darling. Trash." Melissa gets on the elevator and says, "F--k everyone. Lying (@$&*#) whores."

Those two have absolutely no class at all. Two of the sorest losers I've ever seen. They were disgusting.

I'm an amateur Poker player - trying to win my way to the World Series of Poker - and can't believe the way that Joan Rivers behaves with regards to Poker players. She seems to equate all Poker players, or maybe just professional Poker players with the mobsters who used to run Vegas. If that was ever true it isn't now. I'm willing to bet that there are more Poker players around than Joan Rivers fans. Of course I've hated Rivers ever since she sold out Johnny Carson.

Whomever Joan and Melissa work for, I imagine they are cringing now. Do these folks not think of their careers? I also wonder if there was a deal with the Rivers duo that one would not participate without the other.
Jesse may have been a bit out of line last night, but I sure hope he wins, though it looks like the finals will be Brandee against Annie with Annie for the win. Bah! Though I have to give it to her, she seems to have played this as one big card game, a smart move on her part.

joy n, I love your recap!! I did not watch last night, but will try to catch the episode online.

Mama and Baby Rivers have clearly shown their true colors over the last few weeks, and it is an embarrassment.

Show some grace and leave with dignity! After all, everyone knows when they sign up for the show that all will be fired but one.

I'm getting a kick out of watching Celebrity Apprentice this season because I really don't much like anyone that's on it, so I can just sit back and enjoy the utter mayhem and what mayhem we had last night. The Rivers were a hoot to watch go into total diva mode. Brande really was the one who should have been fired though. I guess I like Jesse the best of what's left, but I didn't like his attitude last night at all. It is painfully obvious that Annie is going to win this thing. I really, really don't like her and haven't from day one, but damn she's good at what she does! She played Brande like a fiddle last night. Brande actually thought she was running the show, LOL. I predict a Jesse/Annie Finale, with Annie winning.

joy n said...

I really don't like any of them much, either. I wouldn't want to work with or play poker with Annie.

Brandie was manipulated by Annie and really doesn't realize that.

I never was a big fan of Clint's and am a lesser one now.

Jessie, I do like, but like you guys, didn't like his "style" of play so much last night. He's hardly raised any money and that will be a big problem for him.

I haven't been much of a Joan Rivers fan for years and have never been a fan of Melissa's. After last night's diva-fest, I hope to never see them again on TV.

That was pure hate they were spewing. Everything they've accused Annie of doing, is actually what they've been doing. Those vicious personal attacks were so unnecessary. Fun to watch, I guess, but pure meanness.

That mom-daughter-tag-team event may well come back to bite their butts. I hope it does. I'm tired of looking at those plastic faces anymore anyway.

I was ready for the Rivers to leave. I have been ready for Annie to leave since the first show.

Brandee will discover that those who were warning her about Annie and that she would throw Brandee under the bus.

Annie is good, I will grant you that. The executive who monitored their group last night caught her double play immediately. He said she had set it up perfectly. If they won, she would get the credit. If they lose, Brandee would get the blame.

As for Clint, I used to like and respect him. However he has had trouble with, I believe, every team he has worked with on every project.

I liked Jesse up until last night. I think he was skeptical of any idea that Clint would come up with and I admit, I was uncomfortable thinking he might try something like the first time.
I will say again, if they ever do the Roy Rogers life movie, he should get the part.

I think Jesse should have gotten on board and done the best job he could, even if he thought the concept sucked.

I bet you a dollar to a donut that Joan comes back. She is too much of a fighter. And I bet that the Donald, being the drama queen that he is, will narrow it down so Annie and Joan will be pitted against each other.

RTVW: Melissa Rivers has no regrets for her unclassy temper tantrum exit on Sunday. Her quote: "I said what a lot of women have wanted to say to those kind of girls their entire lives," Rivers told The New York Post. "It was like being in high school all over again." Guess she should know. She did go back for her exit interview, which she, of course, tried to spin in her favor. It's a kind of a recap article of the tirade and a good read.

Joan and Melissa on Ellen's show today, doing some major damage control. They are totally changing things that they said and making small jokes at Annie and Brandi's expense (and behind their backs, of course).

Joan saying she didn't mean all poker players were bad.... Well, I beg to differ, Joan, darling. You said they all have no last names and are all white trash. Hmmm, no last names and being white trash doesn't have to mean you're bad, I guess.

Melissa bobble-headed her mother's conversation and also kept turning to stare and smile at the camera. A lot.

Happy Sunday!

I am curious if Joan actually left permanently, or if she will be back tonight.

East Coast viewers, please let us know what is happening.

Thanks, and have a great day!

You can bet that Joan only came back for revenge no matter what she says.

joy n said...

Seems like this task (writing a jingle) is made-to-order for Clint. Hmm?

joy n said...

Annie and Brandi won the challenge. I liked theirs better too.

joy n said...

Bet it will be Clint or Joan going home. Have a feeling it will be Clint as he was project manager.

joy n said...

Well, Clint's finally done. A little surprised since he is a songwriter.

Piers will interview the final four. Two will be fired. Tonight, Trump said. Brandi goes in first.

joy n said...

Trump is such an instigater. He's about to restart the feud with Joan and Annie.

my wv is somoment. I like that.

joy n said...

Bet the two that stay will be Joan and Annie. For the drama and the ratings.

Piers didn't think much of Brandi or Jesse.

Joan getting her digs into Brandi and Annie at Trump's urging, I think.

joy n said...

Brandi is fired.

joy n said...

Commercial. Much as I hate to admit it, Joan and Annie are the best choices to compete to the end. Jesse is too quiet and hasn't raised much money. Has he raised any? I like him the best of all of them. Brandi does kind of ride the coattails as Piers mentioned.

Jesse was fired.

I was thinking as i signed on here to read teh comments that i bet it will be joan and annie in the final just like last yr with piers and trace and i sure as hell didn't want to see them to in the end but not at all surprised it was a good season ughh no TAR next week but at the end of tar tonight it didn't say in 2 weeks but oh well thanks for the updates Joyn have a good night all

Joan vs. Annie in the finals?

Totally predictable, IMO.

I have not really enjoyed this season, as the nastiness of the last several weeks has taken a toll.

Ready for next!

As irritating as she is, Annie does deserve to be in the finals. I just wish she was in the finals against Jesse, not Joan. One thing Athena did better all season than KOTU was ask more pertinent questions of the executives and ask more questions.

becky said...

I knew it, I knew it.... I called it last week. I missed seeing what reason Joan used when she came back. Did they say?

I think we all knew Trumpie would pit Joan and Annie agaist each other in the end. Battle of the Bitc*es.

Sorry, but I admire Jessie for not cashing in with his wife. I like him.

Hi -- Just popping in to see what you all say. I have stopped watching the show.

Dla- I couldn't make it through. He lost me at that awful, sexist, ageist thing he did to Kardashian and letting the other young woman go (forgetting her name)-- She was sharp and I would have liked to see what she had in her if she'd stayed.

JoyN -- thanks for the mini-updates, I'd rather read those than see it happen, lol. What is the mention of TAR?

Syd, I'd swear they said a "3 hour finale" next Sunday night. Maybe I heard wrong. I don't have the cable guide any more so can't check it out there. Anyone hear anything about next Sunday nite's schedule?

meb said...

OK... Earlier... Tionne volunteers to come back in the board room with Brandi and Trump fires her.

Joan quits...walks out...swears not coming back...walks in at last minute and ultimately ends up in the final two.

Now, fair is fair...well maybe not as far as "may the best one (to keep an audience) win".

And what was that with the passing of notes from Trump to one of the judges the week before. That judge saw Annie for what she was. He said if her team won (Brandi was Project Manager), she would get the credit, but if they lost then Brandi would probably go home. Then Trump passes a note to the judge and suddenly it was Malissa who was going home. (Not that I cared, cause I was totally over her whining).

Trump wanted Annie in the game so she and Joan would be pitted against each other in the end.

I'd make a bet that Trump called Joan and insisted that she come back..and wasn't it wonderful timing that the elevator door opened just as Trump and the executives got there.

I'll watch, but we already know who's going to win... and to be honest, although she's brutal, I think she's earned it. If this was survivor we'd be saying she outplayed, outwit and outlasted all the other contestants.

So, Annie for the win...like her or not. Joan lost some of my respect being so nasty toward many of the other contestants, but I still like her as a comedienne.

joy n said...

I totally agree that Annie deserves to win. I think she's earned the win fair and square. It's a competition and she competed to win without the nasty screaming personal attacks.

Trump is very inconsistant with his own "rules".

meb said...

Totally joyn... it appears Trump just decides on his own, who should be the winner... but then again, it is his show. LOL

How much does the winner get for her charity? Do you know?

joy n said...

Really hoping that Joan does not win this. She wasn't there for three of the tasks and her ideas were basically all shot down. Annie was effective throughout the game. Joan has taken this game way too personally. I really think she'll lose some fans over her actions and name-calling on this show. It was totally unnecessary for her to go as far as she has and I'm sure it will continue tonight.

But, then again, Trump takes pleasure in deciding who will get crowns these days, so who knows how this will turn out.

Karen in Oregon said...

Hi ya Joy I agree with you i don't want Joan to win and last week I just knew it was goign to be Joan and Annie inthe end just like last yr when Trace and Whats his butt butted heads all season just like Joan and annie so we will have to see who wins its not on here for a couple more hours but can't wait to watch it keep the updates coming please :)

Joan insults the designer who then quits, leaving Annie in the lurch, too. So not fair.

Sounds to me like Trump has already made up his mind that Joan will win this. Just some of his remarks, I mean.

Karen in Oregon said...

yep I bet he will choose Joan i know out here in oregon there has been a couple commercials with joan in them the one i can recall off the top of my head is the identity theft one but not the one they made on the show so it seems to me she may have already won that is my opinion

joy n said...

Could Trump possibly be any more biased? At least he shut Melissa's big yap for a moment.

How can Joan and M sit there calling Annie and Brande liars when they are lying about why the designer quit? Joan did insult him. He quit because of her.

joy n said...

OMG! Ugh! This makes me feel ill.

joy n said...

Joan won. Not the least bit surprised. Trump made it pretty clear thruout the whole show.

Annie should have won hands down.

Trump absolutely disgusts me as do the Rivers duo.

Talk about rewarding bad behavior!!

I did not watch. I have it on my DVR in case I change my mind, but, knowing the outcome, I will probably pass and delete it.

So goes another Trump debacle...

meb said...

I have to admit I enjoyed the show a lot. Joan in talking with the designer made absolutely no sense and she was insulting him by bringing in her own person. Annie said Joan paid someone to come in...that's when Joan called her a liar. Too funny, cause she DIDN'T hire anyone and I'll bet they didn't get paid either.

How many times did they show Annie telling the story..."Joan caused them to quit and they won't even work for ME now".Paraphrased)... When she said "Joan needs to die"... I knew that was going to come back to bite her in the butt.

Did anyone else think, from Annie's reaction at the very end, that she thought Trump was going to say she won. She looked excited when Trump said "Do you know what I'm going to say Annie?", as though he was going to fire Joan.

Annie should have had this win. No way did Joan win it fairly. Even Pierce, IMO, probably already had discussed this with Trump and the big T told him what to say.

And the way they were babying Rodman was ridiculous. It was as though Trump was afraid of a law suit. He wouldn't even let Jesse continue talking for fear of what else he'd say. And how stupid was Joe to say to Rodman, "Do you want to go get a drink?"

I laughed out loud numerous times. When you can get me to do that, it was a good show.

Dynamo of Eternia said...

While I have mixed feelings about the ending, I am sort of glad that Joan won.

On the one hand, Annie did raise the most money of anyone there, and was often a capable leader. But, she was indeed two-faced. She'd play the other contestants for her own personal gain. And let's face it, Melissa had concerns about getting fired for very specific reasons, and what she suspected would happen pretty much did.

Annie was very deceptive and manipulative, and I personally have little to no respect for that kind of behavior. It's that kind of cut throat "Me, Me, Me!!!" mentality of getting ahead by throwing other under the bus that has put this country into the economic mess that it is in now. That kind of behavior shouldn't be rewarded.

Now, I've never been a fan of Joan and/or Melissa Rivers. I would roll my eyes when they would comment on what other celebs were wearing at various red carpet events.

But, I really disliked Annie enough to the point that I was rooting for Joan.

Now, yes, Joan's comments did get out of line at times, I agree with that. A lot of that was very unnecessary. But, at least Joan wasn't two-faced about it. She had no problems saying it right to Annie's face. Annie has some choice things to say about Joan in private, only to then act like she has no problems with Joan in the board room. What a bunch of crap.

As for the issue with the designer that quit both teams because of the interaction with Joan, based on what was seen on screen, I can't really fully blame Joan for what she was doing. She needed that whole room set up and decorated, and apparently all that the designer has ready to go were drapes, with little else to back it up. Joan was concerned about having her full event ready to go (and rightfully so), and she did what she needed to do.

I think that the company that these teams were set up with just wasn't up to the task, and I think things either would have fallen apart with them, or just wouldn't have resulted in nice looking events.

The one thing that didn't sit well with me with Joan winning was that Trump seemed to be favoring her throughout the season and even went easy on her because of her age.

However, there were 5 sets of critera for the final task, and Joan did exceed in 3 of them while Annie only exceeded in two. Granted, one of Annie's pluses was raising A LOT of money, but I don't think that should be the end all, be all factor (more on this shortly).

Also, a lot of Trump's decisions this season were very questionable (i.e. firing someone over a previous DUI incident). So, no matter who he picked to win, it was going to also be questionable.

I think part of the problem is that the focus of what the celebrity-incarnation of this show is all about is all over the place and inconsistent. While there are multiple factors, at times they (and by they I mean Trump and the 2 trumplings) seem to really focus on the earning of money for charity and these people pushing their friends/aquintances for money, but then other times they focus on other things.

While it is for a good cause, to me, if it all boils down to who brings in the most money as they often seem to indicate (even though it ultimately didn't this season, which I'm kind of happy about), then what's the point of even going through the whole competition? They may as well have these people all just call up all of their contacts right away on day 1, beg them for cash, and whoever gets the most money wins.

I also don't like how the final four were "intereviewed" with 2 being fired with no task involved. It just seems at that point they were rigging this for Joan and Annie to be the last two.

This show really needs to be grounded more with a direct line of focus if they come back for another season (which, according to Trump's comment on this last episode, they are).

Anonymous said...

Annie deserved to win this fair and square. Trump chose Joan as the winner based on the five criteria that was only brought up on the final show. All season (and last) raising the most money was the topmost reason for a Celebrity Appretice win. Trump changed the rules in order for Joan to win. Period! It was fixed. It was disappointing. It leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. Joan was mean-spirited throughout the season. So was her no-talent daughter. Joan attacked Clint, Brande, Annie and others. She's all over TV today still attacking the designer. She is a disgusting human being who has taught her daughter to be the same. She is rude and shameless and all the damage control she is out there trying to do won't change a lot of people's minds about how nasty her true colors showed her to be.

I'm no fan of Annie, but she was robbed.

I finally got around to watching Celebrity Apprentice. I figure everyone who watches has probably commented on the blog. So, this was what I thought....
I was not a fan of Annie's from day one. I found her to be a person who will steal someone else's thunder while sitting up someone to take the blame if things go wrong. She was a sneak, deceitful, a manipulator and a back-stabber. She screams and hollers about Joan calling her names, but at least Joan does it to her face. I agree with the person who posted that one thing that got our country in the shape it is in the Me Mentality like that which Annie displayed. I do not like people like Annie.
Joan is not a nice person. I have never cared for her and her daughter is even worse than Joan. I will be the first to admit that. She is very condescending to people she believes are "beneath" her.... and that is a lot of people. She is outspoken and does voice her dislike of someone -- loudly. I don't like people with some of the qualities that Joan displayed either, but of the two, I dislike Annie's the most.
That said, I think the decorator was over his head.... completely. And for his staff to not give someone who is their employer (and at the point of him doing the planning, Joan and Annie were HIS employers and he should answer to them) is inexcusable. Yes, Trump hired him, but he hired him to work FOR Annie and Joan. It looked like Annie's person was more willing to work with Annie than what's-his-face was with Joan. I did not see that it was so bad that Joan wanted him to consult with someone she works with planning events all the time, especially when it seems like white drapes was all the decorator could come up with to decorate her space. I think Trump was aware that it wasn't so much that the planner couldn't work with Joan as it was that he just wasn't up to the job. For his company to pull out of BOTH of the parties was unconscionable. If he was unhappy with Joan, then quit her. But don't drag the other person's decorator out with him. I think he was trying to cover his own butt. If he was not the owner of the company, then he should be fired. You know Trump will not recommend the company to anyone wanting an event planner.
Trump fired someone after EACH task. He did not fire someone (other than the DUI or the one who volunteered to go into the board room) for previous failures or for something outside the assignment of the week. It was for the current task.
Yes, Annie raised the most money. But there were FIVE points to the task. I forget which other point Annie won, but Joan won three over Annie's two. I disagree that Trump changed the rules so Joan could win. He told them up front what the five points were in order to win the task. So, Joan should have been declared the winner. JMHO

He certainly DID change the rules at the very end in order for Joan to win. Piers and others of previous seasons won because they raised the most money. Annie did that this time around. Joan did miserably and it was obvious that she couldn't take the title the usual way, so Trump for the first time all season, mentioned, very casually, the new criteria. It was so obviously fixed, it sickened many of the shows fans. Read ALL the blogs. Also, we don't know what the designer really said, we only have Joan's word for it that he "only" planned white curtains. Joan is a vindictive bitch and it shows as she makes her rounds doing that lame damage control. Annie was robbed and Trump showed us once again that he holds the final power. He made it clear that Joan would be the winner and she undeservedly was. No problem, she'll never quite recover from this fiasco and, hopefully, she and her spoiled no-talent daughter will just go away. Annie will do just fine.
