David and Kym were excellent. I am glad they got good scores.

Steve is fun to watch. Oh, no, not another one! Not much rhythm, but he is cute and makes me smile. I am giving him votes because I would rather see some of the others go home that don't have a chance in winning, and don't entertain as much as Steve. (I must like him, I voted for Karina.) Crappy scores! Vote, people!

monty924 said...

Whoa... looks like the judges are trying to make sure Woz goes home this week. He can't dance, but he made me LOL with the worm. My cat went running, lol.

Anonymous said...

i just think these judges don't like steve - maybe jealous of his $$$$ - i don't think he deserved those scores. they could have at least thrown him 5's. we all know he's not going to last much longer.

i am not liking the judging/scoring tonight.

MY veri word is NOSES!!!!! (and mine is hurting boo hoo)

WOW, we are on the second page now! Hope LucyG can find it.

monty924 said...

Hey we just went over 200 posts. New page everyone! Warren Sapp was the NFL player last year.

Anonymous said...

Good, LucyG, you found us. It took me a while before I located it the first time it happened on a link. I think they could have given him 5's too.

Does Melissa have a tatoo on her back?

Margo said...

tony and melssa look good

Anonymous said...

is there a rule about covering up tatoos?

Margo said...

later all - I vote for Gilles as hottest Samba. Shawn as most floaty foxtrot

monty924 said...

Melissa was beautiful yet again tonight. I'm not sure it was her best, but I loved it. I loved the martini glass analogy. Anyone have any on hand this evening? The drink, not the glass. :)

Sydney said...

yes Happy Birthday Delee!

Hi everybody. I've been sitting here watching and realized -- I should get my darn laptop! Hello, how could I forget that???

monty924 said...

Yes, on the tatoo. She has a really small tat of two hearts that say "True Love". I noticed from week one that they cover it with little sparkely patches. Dunno about a rule or not though.

Sydney said...

I don't know why but I have been rooting for Steve-o. I see he's so sincere and I felt SO bad for him. I was grateful that the judges could see that and focused their comments on encouraging the poor guy instead of ripping him apart.

Think they've been very accurate tonight in their comments, which is one of the
many reasons why I like this show so much better than AI these days.

Anonymous said...

I tuned in late, but in time to see Melissa. I have to say I am becoming a fan of hers. She seems to be getting the best outfits, too. Beautiful costumes each week on her.

I missed my guy in the pool Steve, but will look for it later to watch. I didn't expect him to dance, so will want to see how he did.

Anonymous said...

Melissa and Tony were good again! Great! I love the your head is like an olive comment. Wonderful, nines all the way across!

What tickles me is that Melissa is reaping in the praises on DWTS and Molly gets stuck with a jerk who doesn't even have his own apartment! Someone needs to let Jason know -- "Don't Mess With Texas!"

Sydney said...

At least this year there are several couples who could be in the F2, and it's great to see how they start out and grow each week. I do enjoy that more than an obvious winner from week one like in years past.

Anonymous said...

i don't normally nit-pick, but what's up with derek's hair?

Sydney said...

lil Kim surprises me.

monty924 said...

That was my favortie Samba of the evening. It looked a little rough in one spot toward the end, but good.

Sydney said...

He needs a cut this time. Usually when he shakes it and hits the last steo and freezes, it looks rather Bowie-like. Tonight it looked like the layers were all wrong. Maybe he tried a new hairdresser, lol

Sydney said...

ooh, a little nip petal is peeking out from her right side.

Anonymous said...

Happy birthday, Delee!

I don't think there is a rule against tatoos. M. Ali's daughter had one. So did the rap singer.

Lil Kim and Derek were good. Bruno makes me want to barf tonight. Stop gushing!

I don't like Derek's hair! Very good scores.

Anonymous said...

i think it was lil kim that was a judge on the first year i watched the pussy cat dolls looking for a new pussy and she was darker skinned.

is she getting lighter or do i have the wrong person in mind?

Delee said...

Thank you Margo

Warren Sapp was last time!

Sydney said...

perfect Siz, I'm rooting for your guy, though I do have Gilles in the pool, with Becky -- read and weep goilz.

And Melissa seems really comfortable in front of the camera. She is moving here I assume to pursue her career in TV.

I am hoping Ty does well. I want him to stay for awhile.

Anonymous said...

Bruno drools all over the way women shake like we are suppposed to think he's a straight man.

Anonymous said...

Melissa is just lovely, I agree. I do like TOny and would like to see him win at least one season, but Cheryl will probably take it (barf - her).

Maybe it's just a sexier thing to cover her tats the way they do.

I would imagine many doors will open for her with all the limelight in the last few months. Anyone know what her career goals are? Wasn't she the one that wanted to be a teacher?

Rodeo Man is next.

monty924 said...

Wow, I can only say Wow. That was a great dance, and CarriAnn was right on. He didn't miss a beat when Chelsea slipped. I thought he did a wonderful job with the dance and I absolutely loved Chels's dress.

monty924 said...

Well, I'm off to do my usual Monday evening chore and I will see you all on Thursday for Survivor. Nite all.

ps. Happy Bday Delee. :)

Anonymous said...

Anonymous I agree with you about Derek's hair. It looked better tonight that the first night.

Sydney, as usual you were right on the mark with your comments. I agree there are a lot of good dancers this year

I like the quick step and fox trot. Ty and Chelsie were good in MHO. He is getting so much better. Hiss, boo Burno!

Well, time for bed. See you guys tomorrow night.

Anonymous said...

I liked Chelsea's dress, too, but I think that is what was tripping her. The fabric looked heavier or slower to move (if that makes sense) than the costumes usually are. I liked to see Jewel's face, especially when the judges complimented Ty.

Also, one part of Melissa's foxtrot had some fancy footwork that the camera missed...it was the piece they showed in rehearsal. Arrr I wanted to see that part.

RBennie said...

Overall I thought it was a good show last night. The three obvious front runners are Gilles, Melissa and Shawn. Lil Kim is right there yapping at their heels. I really like Steve W., but he needs to go home before he winds up crippled! It was painful to watch him. Those scores he got were uncalled for though. Cloris Leachman never got scores that low! I thought David and Kym did a great job. As much as I love Holly, I don't think she's going to get much better. She really has no rhythm. Ty and Chelsea were good and recovered nicely from her fall.

dla said...

Hi everyone! I agree that, overall, it was a good week with some good dancing!

Denise and Holly probably won't improve a great deal, Woz is killin' himself out there, and Steve-O sure tries hard! Ty is really working to get better, and it is sweet to watch.

So refreshing to see multiple contenders. Now it is about growth and improvement during the remainder of the season.

Gilles and Cheryl were smokin' hot! She is not my favorite pro, but the girl can dance. Loved Melissa and Tony, loved Shawn and Mark, and I was completely surprised by Kym and DAG.

Who do you see going home tonight?

Sydney said...

I was just telling dla that I am amazed that Derek and Lil Kim get on so well. I thought with his intense perfectionism that I saw with Shannon Elizabeth, that he would be really scary to train with, but from those practice edits, she seemed such a workhorse that he is apparently delighted with the pairing.

I was glad the judges could find something to say to Melissa, that she too needs to start stretching herself. That means more complicated steps and stuff for someone with her ease... will be interesting to see what happens.

I don't want Steve O to go... does he have enough fans? Woz is having a boatload of fun, and the exercise is prolly healthy for him (if you get around that it's killing his bones!), so nothing against him, but maybe he or Holly could go? Holly may have lots of fans and her body LOOKS beautiful -- costume, hair , make up, legs all work with the look but she's so stilted she can't last against the competition....

I want to call in for Steve O!

Anonymous said...

Hello all! I don't have a computer at home so I'm never able to root for my couple in the pool while the show is actually going on... but I thought Chuck and Julianne were much improved. I have to say I agreed with the judges last week who criticised Julianne for doing all the work. This week they stepped it up, and Chuck HAS the ability, so it's good.

I was pained by Denise's dancing, as well as by Holly's. They want it so badly, but I think they just don't have the natural ability.

I was upset by Carrie Ann's comment to Melissa that "this comes very easily to you". I think that kind of comment could sabotage someone in terms of making people feel they don't deserve the votes. Melissa can't help that she's had previous dance training in one form or another, and she can't help that she's good. But I guess they had to find something negative to say. I find sometimes Carrie Ann gives an unnecessarily stern face and tone of voice, and she did that last night for no real reason.

I'm fearful that Gilles, who I think hands-down should win this competition based on dance ability and entertainment alone, won't make it past another two weeks for lack of fan base. Sure, Cheryl has a lot of fans, but it's been proven time and again that people fail to vote for those who they think have it in the bag, and "don't need" the votes, and instead vote for people who have no hope of winning.

dla said...

Syd, I so agree about Derek and Lil Kim. He seems thrilled, and she is a go getter with something to prove to the world, so could be a match made in heaven. I watched her last night and thought to myself, "What a difference from the days of Biggie Smalls!" (and the days of the exposed boobs with the petal slip last night!) I would say that she is definitely the one to watch over the next few weeks.

Gaylos, I also thought that CA did get a bit stern last night. She does have a habit of doing that from time to time, and seems to find one female per season to give a bit of a hard time. I am hoping that she is not targeting Melissa for this season. And I am hoping that Tony will really stretch Melissa for next week to shut her up. :)

I am actually voting this season, which I don't always do until the end, but I am giving some of my weekly votes to Gilles simply because he has been the best dancer so far. And, I agree, he certainly does not have the fan base that many of the others have to help carry them.

Syd, Holly did look especially pretty last night!

Looking forward to tonight's results. See you later!

Anonymous said...

Hey, better late than never. I messed my computer up and had to shut it down to correct the problem.

RBenny, I agree with you about WOZ's scores. They humuliated him beyond being acceptable. I actually gave them votes even though I do not like Karina. I think she was surprised that the fans came through that way. And, Sydney, yes, he is having a ball out there and it shows.

I will be giving Giles my votes from here on. I have his name in the pool.... and I do think he is the best dancer.

I think Holly and Denise will be in the bottom two.

Anonymous said...

I think the wrong one was sent home. Denise was much more improved than Holly. Plus Max is such a hunk!

Good night everyone!

dla said...

I did not watch due to the conflict with The Biggest Loser, but will watch online. Thanks, Becky, for the heads up that Maks and Denise were eliminated.

I am OK with that. He is a hot guy and a great dancer, but I know he can sometimes alienate fans with his very outspoken remarks to the press. IMO, Denise was not comfortable in her own skin, so it was inevitable in the short term.

Looking forward to see what next week will bring! :)

Margo said...

*********DWTS POOL UPDATE**********

I'm sooo sorry RJM that Maks & Denise have danced their last dance. Now you can cheer on whomever you choose. I flip over and FF to the last 15 min. Could not believe neither Steve was in the bottom 2. They have no sense and they are going to push to far and seriously injure themselves. We need to stop voting for them for their own good. I was loving the kinder goofier Maks this season - oh well I'm sure he will be in most of the professional dances.

Fun times ahead tonight! Hello everyone.

monty924 said...

The Lindy is such a fun dance to watch. DAG and Kym did great despite what Len and Brunno said.

becky said...

Hey, everyone. Kym and David A. were wonderful.

Derek and Little Kim were outstanding. Bruno was over the top again and Len was a prude.

I have said before and will say again I hate Derek's hair when he wears it like he did at rehersal.

Good, they got the first 10.

monty924 said...

I really enjoyed Lil Kim's tango. I kept thinking, this is 10 worthy while they were dancing.

becky said...

I loved Julieanne and Chuck were terrific I think. Oh, Len, go take a laxative. Julianne and Derek are both incredibly talented with their choreography. Their dancing talents blows me away.

Hiss, boo to the male judges!

monty924 said...

Len....... what an A$$!

monty924 said...

I'm sitting here LMAO at all these rehearsal out-takes. I can't wait to see the other Lindys. :)

Sydney said...

Hola Chicas -- I'm here.

I LOVED derek and L'l Kims tango. Dayum that was complicated and Lil Kim's legs -- poses and how she used them in the dance --were flawless! COMPETITION!!

I didn't think Julianne's was that fab and I love her. This routine was very similar to the one she choreographed with the youngin she had last year.

I knew the judges said that Edtya's partner was just there to support her... He was very graceful on his feet but didn't do ONE of those little click kicks.. I kept shouting at the screen: "do a kick!"

becky said...

Len must be suffering from PMS. I will agree thatLawrence Taylor & Edyta were not as smooth as the first two couples, but I don't think it rated a 5. I hate to even THINK of the score he will give Woz!

LucyGrace said...

good evening everyone. hope you had a great day.

i'm late to the party, but i've been watching. my couple (in the pool) was first, they did pretty good, but i'm still wondering why little kim's dance warranted a 10.

monty924 said...

Bravo Ty! That was awesome.

Finally, Len gave a good review of Chelsie and Ty's Lindy. I think hers is the best so far with the choreography. Great job!!!

becky said...

Hi, Syd! Ty and Chelsie were darling. I hope they get good scores. Good ones. He is improving every week.

monty924 said...

I actually just stood up at the end of the Woz's dance. he's this years Cloris. What Carrie Ann? Lil Kim's dance seemed longer to me. Not that hers was bad, it just seemed longer IMO.

Sydney said...

OH that WOZ was painful. But boy does Karina have the BEST body ever suddenly? She's always been a very impressive dancer, but I think being happy in love has done wonders for her general aura.

And Red is her color!

Sydney said...

melissa and her partner did a ton of great throws and flips but I am waiting for Carried Ann to say her kicks and arms bursting in air didn't have enough POP

monty924 said...

Here comes another 10 or two. That Lindy was jam packed with content and difficulty. Love my Mel and Tony.

monty924 said...

I agree Sydney. Did you see where she asked Woz to walk her down the aisle?

LucyGrace said...

tony and melissa kicked azz. that was excellent. i sure hope they get a 10 - i almost want to believe CA will give them one.

monty924 said...

Hell yea!!!

becky said...

Mellisa and Tony were out of this world. Fantastic scores

I really think this is the week Woz should go. I smile watching him, but

monty924 said...

Holly did really well on that leg trick/flip thing. :)

Sydney said...

poor Holly -- she just does not have it.

That little horsey giggle

Sydney said...

Monty -- you say the kindest things about each contestant. I want you to be MY judge!!!! :-)

Sydney said...

Can't wait to see Steve O!

monty924 said...

Shawn will close out the night, so that should be fun to watch. You know she and Mark will knock the Lindy out of the park like Mel and Tony.

Sydney said...

Just reading back now -- no Monty, I hadn't heard that K asked Woz to walk her down the aisle... where did you read that?

JOYN -- are you watching????

monty924 said...

Thanks Sydney. I've had fun watching them all tonight - even the bad, lol.

monty924 said...

It was in an interview I pulled up on Jokers I think. I'm surprised because I think her father is still alive but who knows. ???

monty924 said...

I'm thinking Samantha should have taken the night off. She sounds horrible. Her voice is getting worse by the minute.

LucyGrace said...

lacy and steve-o look a little stiff-o

Sydney said...

well, he's better than WOZ!

I'm voting for him tonight -- never vote but I just want to support him.

Sydney said...

hey Lucy grace. I'm laughing because I wrote my comment without reading what was there and it looks like I'm replying right to you, lol

Sydney said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
monty924 said...

Um, that was my least favorite Lindy. I'm not sure if it was the song/music or because I've seen the Youtube of Lacey dancing it on SYTYCD.

I'm sure she took it easy on him with the choreography because of his back though.

becky said...

Holly was much better this week. I think they are sitting Holly and Waz for elimination this week. Yeah, scores reflected it.

Steve and Lacey weren't that good tonight. Not very good scores. I think they will be safe because Lacey has such a strong fan base.

monty924 said...

LucyGrace said...

LOL... comment of the night!

Sydney said...

oh yes, everyone will enjoy.

VEry good that they heated it up toward the end when they started out slow and graceful but not passionate as derek and lil Kim. I still think they had the best choreography of th enight so far.

monty924 said...

Yes!!! I see a 30 on the horizon. Is it just me, or does anyone else go weak in the knees watching Gilles? HOT smokin HOT!

lucygrace said...

i really can't stand the way cheryl hangs and jumps all over whoever is her partner at the time. it's gross.

Sydney said...

is that Gilles sister or girlfriend/wife in the audience with the long black hair? She looks so much like him...

Sydney said...

wow huge compliment from Carrie Ann.

Lucy grace, bingo. She's also a harsh teacher. Maybe it's the Latin fire in her...

Sydney said...

Derek has a big smile was gilles and Cheryl get the first 30-- weren't they all excited to get their first single 10 tonight?

becky said...

I am not even going to say what kind of impression that Bruno gave me. Let it surfice that I got the feeling that he would like to be Mrs. Giles.

Perfect 10's. That thing sizzled. Oh, I was talking about Cheryl and Giles.

monty924 said...

It was great choreography Sydney. Cheryl was the perfect partner fit for Gilles. She doesn't take it easy on him and it shows with their performances. Magic!

joy n said...

'pant, pant, pant, I'd have given him twenties!!!!!!!

monty924 said...

Boo hiss, Len. I thought it was adorable. She did a great job and this just a week after she had a stalker harassing her. She's another one that always puts a huge smile on my face when she dances.

Those scores sucked other than Bruno's nine.

becky said...

Shawn and Mark were good. I agree with the judges that there were too many tricks and not enough dancing. I don't know that they deserved tjpse jogj scpres/

monty924 said...

Now I'm off to watch my recording of Two and a Half Men.

Any way to do it online? I don't have the right cell phone server to text a vote in....

I thought of you when Monty said she read that Katrina asked WOz to walk her down the aisle... I know you were always up on all that. I wonder where her folks are or why if they're around.

monty924 said...

I vote online and by phone number. I don't even know how to text, lol. You can vote online at www.abc.com at the shows site. You have to have an email address and username and can vote 12 times each week. All my votes went to Mel and Gilles this week. Mostly Mel...

Hey ladies!

Just getting ready to watch West Coast time, and sooo excited after reading your comments!

Syd, if I vote, it is online at abc.com. I am too lazy to call. Hate busy signals. :)

PS: Watched Sex and The City (movie) on HBO over the weekend, with extra special attention paid to Gilles. Loved him the first time I saw the movie, but love him even more now. Man, that guy is smokin' hot. Ayyyy carumba! lol

*************

Becky, we have Time Warner as well and went through this very same thing with the ABC affiliate last year. Trust me, they will settle it last minute and you should be able to watch with us tomorrow night. They waited until the eleventh hour here last year, but it was all settled and we never lost any ABC viewing. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hey dla... hope you are enjoying the show. Our team rocked it tonight.

dla said...

monty, I can't wait to see our girl dance tonight!

I think I am watching by myself on the West Coast, and hate to comment other than during commercials, as I just miss too much!

So far tonight:

DAG & Kym were strong. Where did this come from?? He has really improved the past two weeks!

Derek & Lil Kim were terrific, and the choreography was very strong. Derek has really tuned into her strengths and work ethic, and it is working for them!

JA & Chuck were cute, with great costumes. She may be better with a partner where she does not have a personal relationship...

Samantha should have said less tonight. She doesn't have a voice and we are only 35 minutes into the show!

dla said...

LT and Edyta looked great!! (I just sounded like Paula Abdul. lol)
Len was ridiculous with his 5. He just contradicts himself sometimes.

I personally think there is a big problem when scores are more than 1point apart. I'm down with a 1 point subjective difference of opinion, but not more than that.

Ty & Chelsie were absolutely great!! Woo hoooo! Clever choreography! His improvement from week to week makes me want to try ballroom dancing! (not on TV)

dla said...

I really am talking to myself. HA!

Everyone is invited to read my West Coast review of the show! lol

dla said...

Woz & Karina wearing helmets on the Segways was priceless. He is simply not a dancer, but he tries.

Melissa & Tony were so great!! At first, I was a bit disappointed that she was partnered with Tony, but I take it all back. He is the IDEAL partner for her. And they look like they could be related! CA said to push her, and he did. YEAH!

Holly & Dmitry... hmmmm.

Steve O needs a lot of support right now.

Gilles and Cheryl were hot hot hot!! Man, he has it all. Looks, humility, ability and work ethic! Syd, I think that is his wife in the audience. Lucky girl. :)

Shawn and Mark were good, but I agree about the high number of tricks.

I just voted online, and will see you after results tomorrow!

RBennie said...

Great show last night. Gilles, Lil Kim and Melissa were the best of the night for me. It was a rough night for poor Holly. I love her and she tries so hard, but dancing is just not her forte. I agreed with the judges that Shawn and Mark had too many tricks and not enough dancing. I thought Chelsie and Ty's lindy was way better than Julianne and Chuck's. DAG and Kim did a great job and LT and Edyta were just average for me. As for the Steve's, Steve-O tries very hard, but he really has no musicality. I think Karina is gonna kill herself dancing up, down and around the Woz trying to make him look better, LOL. I hope the computer nerds don't keep him around much longer.

gaylos said...

Good morning everyone... As usual I can't comment during/after the show because I have to wait to get to work to have access to a pc.

To Sydney, not sure if anyone answered you about the woman in the audience applauding for Gilles with the long black hair. That's his wife. He's got one! And two children as well... he does charity work with children too. That's why at the end when Carrie-Ann was finally able to talk (does anyone else think she overdoes it with the "reactions" sometimes?) she pointed to her and was like "Girl, hmmm!" or whatever it was she said.

Gilles is REALLY the real deal. I looked at him and thought to myself "That is a MAN". That's the man you want to have leading you on the dance floor. I hope people continue to vote for him and not take it for granted that he will make it through.

My couple in the pool, ChuJu as I call them, Chuck and Julianne were just... meh... okay. I agree that Chuck is inconsistent, and he DOES have all the tools to do a better job more often.

Love Ty! He is what the show is all about... was at the very bottom without seemingly a prayer of going forward, but he's worked hard and deserves the be recognised for his VISIBLE improvement.

Loved Lil Kim as well... she really has taken this seriously, and WORKS. Like someone else on here said, she's left the diva attitude at home, and trusts her partner implicitly.

Enjoyed tonight's show better than last week. I think Holly still can't get over her nerves, and she doesn't have the natural musicality that's needed. She's trying though. The Steves really should go, but will BOTH probably make it through while someone like Lawrence won't in the double elimination. I like him a lot, but think he'll fall victim to pity votes going to the Steves.

gaylos said...

Forgot to add that I agree with whoever said that Samantha really should have taken a night off! I mean geez, would it kill her?

Perhaps they couldn't get someone to replace her on short notice (although I doubt that, with the resources ABC has), or maybe it got worse in the evening... but given that her role is as main interviewer backstage, it was PAINFUL to try to struggle to hear what she was saying!

I get that she lovesssss the show, and doesn't want to miss a moment (as evidenced by her speedy return after her baby), but really now...

Caroline said...

Samantha Harris is hands down one of the worst "hosts" that television has ever presented us. Even when she feels fine she flubs her lines, stumbles all over herself and more than once has accidentally revealed the couple going home at about 7 mins into the broadcast. I would love nothing more than for her to get pregnant again, be gone an entire season and replaced with Brooke Burke (or anyone else who wouldn't suck, but they like to use past winners if Drew Lachey is any evidence).

Last night Samantha was so excited to jam a microphone down the Woz's throat that she body checked Karina right out of the camera frame. Then when Karina tried to squeeze back in, Samatha moved closer to Woz so that Karina just about had to push her out of the way. It ended with some icy glares from Karina and all I can say is Samantha should be lucky she was sick, cause otherwise there might have been a catfight then and there.

Caroline said...

As for my critique of the ep...

Lil Kim & Derek were my fav for the tango. They had the best whole package...good choreography, good music, good execution. I'm really impressed with her in every way possible. Nothing like I expected. :-)

Ty & Chelsie were my fav for the Lindy Hop. I adore Chelsie from SYTYCD and I think she's proved to be an amazing teacher. Ty has made tremendous progress and it just makes me smile to watch them together.

Honorable mentions go to Cheryl/Gilles and Melissa/Tony. Both were superb yet again. I kinda hope that Melissa/Tony win the season cause I think it's Tony's best shot at the trophy. He's worked so hard for so many seasons, I'd love to see it be his turn and Melissa could certainly use the win for a little fan redemption.

Someone mentioned that Chuck seems inconsistent. I follow Julianne's blog on Myspace and she was talking about how this week would be hard because they were both touring (separately) and were having trouble working in practice time. It makes you wonder why the celebrities sign up when they have such a full plate already.

I just jumped in here to see who got eliminated....read all the comments and thought, that's strange nobody is commenting tonight! Then I remembered the show doesn't start until 9p.m.!!
Sometimes I really miss my mind! LOL

Will check back later once the show get started.

I made a mistake, we get ABC tonight. The contract expires at midnight.

Watching Giles again. Boy, is he sexy!

monty924 said...

Just now here for the party. Hello Becky and Nana...

monty924 said...

Nana, my favorite Aunt of all time (RIP) used to always say, "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most"! Loved her! :)

monty924 said...

YAY! Mel and Tony safe. Ty and Chelsie have to be. What's wrong with these people. They were great last night.

monty924 said...

Well, one of the Steve's goes home this week. :(

becky said...

Well, the right two went home. It would have been a shame if one of the more talented ones had been dismissed.

Still no contract settlement. And Lost is on tomorrow. If they don't settle tonight I will be on the Lost link waiting for someone to update me.

Terry is a Texan! said...

I cant stand it!!! Tell me Ty is safe!!!!!!

Nana in the NW said...

Becky you are right....the two that needed to leave did. Woz was a nice guy but a horrible dancer! And Holly just was stiff and didn't seem to have any rythmn.

I loved the professional ballroom dancers. They made dancing look effortless.

See you all next week.

********DWTS POOL UPDATE*********

Melissa Rycroft & Tony - Monty924 & dlb
Lil’Kim & Derek - Susan in FL
Chuck Wicks & Julianne - gaylos
David Alan Grier & Kym - Lucy Grace
Steve-O & Lacey - sizzie
Lawrence Taylor & Edyta - Nana in NW
Ty Murray & Chelsie - CountryGirlSheri

Belinda Carlisle & Jonathan - RBennie
Denise Richards & Maks - RJM
Holly Madison & Dmitry - Meb
Steve Wozniak & Karina - Margo

I just read the dance list for next week on Joker's and I'm so excited. The Paso Doble... YAY!! Its my favorite dance of the season every year.

Paso
DAG & Kym (hers last year with Warren was fantastic - minus the explosion of pleather)
Gilles & Cheryl (gauranteed to be great)
Ty & Chelsie (Ty's kind of dance and it will be awesome I'm sure)
Melissa & Tony (I hope she pulls off the emotion of the dance)
Chuck & Julianne

Vienese Waltz
Shawn & Mark
Steve-O & Lacey (Lacey will choreograph something special I think)
Lil Kim & Derek (same here)
Lawerence & Edyta (same here only with less clothes) ;)

Can't wait for Monday to get here. Catch everyone later over on Survivor! I'll bring some yummy treats...

meb said...

Even tho I had Holly in the pool, it was so painful to watch her, so I'm glad she's gone.

Margo... I missed the show, so hadn't had a chance to come over here to read until now. Now I know what you meant about both Margaret's were out this week. I had forgotten there were two eliminated this go round...

I'm jumping on Melissa and Tony's train... I think Giles will win, but I love Melissa, and I would also like to see Tony win. Cheryl has already won twice. Let's not be too greedy.

Also glad Woz is gone. He's a nice guy and I think the judges were so mean to him, but he still couldn't dance.

Just got home from vacation and watched the Monday episode. It seems as though the judges have prejudged in general. I do not get the scoring. DAG was better than his score. I think they hold Shawn to a different standard than some of the others, thus the lower score.

Caroline said...

Congratulations to Julianne Hough for winning Top New Vocalist last night at the Academy of Country Music Awards!!!!!!!!!!
She looked fantastic and Chuck was beaming with pride. I hope they mention her win on DWTS tonight.

Also big Congrats to Carrie Underwood for winning Entertainer of the Year. She's the 1st female since 2000 to be nominated and only the 4th woman to ever win the award. (Reba McEntire, Shania Twain & Dixie Chicks are the others)

LucyGrace said...

good evening everyone. hope you are all staying dry on this miserable, rainy monday (at least here it's been that way)

monty924 said...

Great Link dla. :)

I'm looking forward to all the Paso Doble routines tonight. Its my favorite dance.

Carrie Ann's 7 just now was nit picky. Boo!

monty924 said...

Good evening LucyGrace. Wet here as well. Such a gloomy day after a beautiful weekend.

LucyGrace said...

poor edyta, she's wasted on this oad. i love her, want to see him booted off though. he does nothing for me. (apologize in advance for whoever has him in the pool).

LG said...

oad = oaf

becky said...

Hey, I finally got here. Our son came in this evening and has gone to see his uncle, so I will watch while I can.

Julianne and Chuck were outstanding. I guess it is Carrie Ann's turn to be grouch tonight.

The Paso Doble is one of my favorites too. Lawrence and Edyta did a good job in MHO. Jeeze, the scores for them stink and are not high enough. Lap dances with Lawrence, WMPimpLOL

Gosh, Bruno is being the drama queen again tonight.

Yep, CA has a burr up her behind tonight.

Am I the only one who thinks the quality of the dancers this year is the best over all ever.

monty924 said...

I sort of agree, but I kept thinking her choreography wasn't right for this dance tonight. It really didn't do anything to highlight any of LT's strength. Last year, Kym was able to pull that football aggression out of Warren but not so much tonight with Edyta and LT.

But my goodness... her dress was gorgeous.

monty924 said...

I would agree with that Becky. I think this has been the best year over all with the quality of the dancing from the not so pro's.

monty924 said...

Now that's what I like to see. I was smiling from ear to ear during Shawn and mark's dance. Wow, and CA lets the lift go... so I'm thrilled.

Len's a downer though. What's new?

Sydney said...

HI everyone -- sorry I'm late!

I am surprised the judges treated Morris Taylor so well. Maybe I missed something when I looked down (eating dinner)?

And Shawn sure did look like a pretty lady in that white dress. Those fabrics things really do enhance the romantic dances that need flow.

becky said...

Shawn was very beautiful and graceful tonight. Let's see what the judges give her. Great scores!

I think whoever said that the judges seem to prejudge some of the dancers was right on the mark.

lucygrace said...

what is this horrible music?

i really want to see tony take the trophy. he's so good.

LG said...

not sure if this was intense enough

Sydney said...

Meant to say Lawrence Taylor, lol.

Wow Caroline -- I had no idea that Julianne won that award and that it is so prestigious as you describe. She's such a cutie... go Julianne! It seems being partners has not messed with their relationship either, thank goodness.

Oh Melissa is lacking the intense emoting this dance needs.... how can you not get that? I can understand not getting the steps but not the intensity

Sydney said...

Lucy Grace -- where are you that it's raining? It's supposed to be cold tonight in Houston -- almost down to 30 degrees!

becky said...

Melissa and Tony were fun to watch. Bruno makes me want to upchuck!

CA has that burr going again. Guess her score won't be that great for them between CA and Len.

Fairly good scores.

Sydney said...

I am so seeing Marie Osmond in Melissa... is that bad?

monty924 said...

That was not their best and you could really see how Mel struggles with the character of the dance. I think that is her biggest hurdle to climb and if she can do it, she will win this thing. Tony challenged her and she just made a few blunders. She'll come fighting back next week. :)

Sydney said...

OK dla -- got the chance to check out those links. Funny!

And Monty -- where are you that it's raining too? SOrry, I need a map to picture everyone.

DAG looks like he wants to be the dog on bruno's leg

Sydney said...

Oh Kym--what a gorgeous bod. That was tough, doing a fast 1-2-3 waltz step to that very slow music. I was having trouble figuring out what they would use in that music to keep the beat... but they did.

LucyGrace said...

is that heather mills i keep seeing in the audience?

Sydney said...

Everyone is getting into the spray tans and extra grooming. Shiny powder always on the hostess's deltoids always.

She is so skinny this year.

Carrie Ann has more and more hair pieces each week
Even Bruno was overly tan last week. lol

becky said...

The judges won't like Kym's fans at the beginning. David just had a misstep. Bet the judges jump on it.

I wouldn't blame David if he B-slapped CA and DQ (drama queen). Len complimented him. Surprisingly, they didn't mention the fan.

They do seem to prejudge him.

LucyGrace said...

sydney, i'm in pa, outside of philthadelphia.

Sydney said...

Lucy Grace -- where? Near the judges or across on the other side or in close ups? That would be a hoot, but don't you think heather would be sure she was really obvious?

Sydney said...

Thanks L-- Philthadelphia... is that cousin to Shittsburgh? (Remember Sienna Miller's famous gaffe in the press, when in Pittsburgh filming a movie)

becky said...

Wish it would rain here. We need it. A community we lived in when we came back to S. TX had a horrible fire last Thursday. 30 structures burned, 20 of them houses. They didn't say how many vehicles and pets were lost. Fortunately no human lives were lost.

Sydney said...

Here's my couple in the pool!

He's going to do great with the pasa doble!

LucyGrace said...

i am not a real fan of cheryl - personally. i think her dancing is wonderful. so this will probably be the best paso tonight. two hot bloodeds dancing the hot blooded dance.

what do you think?

Hey Joy. WHo is your fave this season?

becky said...

My post on Giles and Cheryl disappeared in cyber space but Sydney I almost spit my ice tea. We had pretty much the same thing to say. And they are my couple too.

Lacey and Steve were good tonight.

monty924 said...

I agree with CA on Steve O's posture. He sticks his butt out and keeps his legs stiff when he leans in. That was a sweet dance though and I liked it. :)

joy n said...

I'm swooning for Gilles, but I'm rooting for Melissa too.

joy n said...

Shawn and Lil' Kim are contenders, too.

Sydney said...

oooh I'm surprised, Ty was not so good with this one. Stiff.

Even Jewel showed it on her face.

joy n said...

Poor Ty, a bit out of his element this time.

L.G. said...

i agree - ty is adorable, but that was a little off. he needed to be intense, but relax a little. but i certainly give him credit for doing this.

did you notice, he has the same type tooth on the left side that jewel has on the right side of her mouth.

and wonder if jewel had a problem with her jumping on his back.

monty924 said...

Ty was quite stiff at times, but I just love, love, love him!!! Their intro piece had me cracking up, and Len's Nureyev (sp) comment too. I'm throwing some votes Ty's way tonight.

becky said...

Oh-oh, Ty may be in trouble. He sure has a cute bottom.

Not bad for the dance he did. Makes you kinda want to throw him on the floor. Now Gilles, you DO want the throw on the floor!

Sydney said...

Lucy you're on a roll!

Hey, are you a Big Brother fan or not? I am trying to remember....

Joy -- I am rooting for MElissa, but am lucky this year to have the fabulous Gilles with Becky in the pool, nice to have a winner for once. And I love Shawn's earnestness and cute as a button face! And as I said, inexplicably sweet on Steve-O... sober.

Sydney said...

Becky - Gilles and Throw, a definite match!

Sydney said...

L.G. I was thinking as Ty was smiling down at his partner while he was leaving on the fence that he sure did look cute... and if I was Jewel, I wouldn't love seeing my cute hubby look at another gal that way.

I didn't notice the tooth, now I will be watching.

MONTY - I will join you in voting for him.....

Can I get a few votes for Steve O out of anyone who is voting?

monty924 said...

Best VW of the night!

LG said...

that was lovely

Sydney said...

Heather again... in a bustier?

Hmmm, that looked good and also seemed stiff or off somehow, but apparently I don't know a thing, cuz CA thinks it was great. I guess it was that akward purple scarf attached to Lil Kim's wrist?

becky said...

Lucy Grace, your comments cracked me up.

I think I mention every week when they are rehearsing that I hate Derek's hair. But I have to say his and Julianne's choreography is top notch.

CA is gushing! Len needs his prunes. I wonder if Bruno is talking about Little Kim or Derek with his sexy remarks.

joy n said...

They were very graceful together.

LucyGrace said...

syd, yes i am a BB fan, as a matter of fact, there have been a few commercials lately that they are doing casting.

is sure hope this year has some more oldheads in the house to stir it up a bit and keep the youngsters in line.

well...another show done. amazing race was pre-empted by BB, which i wish would end. will try to be back for survivor.

have a good night everyone! nice visiting with you.

LG said...

becky....bruno is definitely talking about derek.

Sydney said...

Derek for sure Becky. lol

monty924 said...

Tonight's show was a little lack luster for my favorite usually. The Paso's had crappy music for the most part. Mel and Tony (Melony) and Gilles and Cheryl were the best. Lil Kim and Derek with Shawn and Mark get my VW thumbs up. Now I'm off to catch what I missed, lol.

becky said...

Who do you think will be in the bottom three tomorrow night? I think it will be David Alan Grier & Kym - Lawrence Taylor & Edyta and either Lacey and Steve O or Ty and Chelsie.

dla said...

Hi all! I am about half way through on the West Coast, but enjoyed all your comments!

Ladies, I am also born and raised in Ohio! :)

Syd, I am throwing Steve O votes each week, just because he needs the support at this time in his life. So, you have some company!

I have liked, but not loved, the performances so far tonight. I really liked the music for the couples dancing the VW, but have not liked the music for the Paso's at all. Eeek.

monty, our girl and Tony are doing us proud for another week! yeah!!

dla said...

Dear Lord, I need a cigarette following the Paso from Gilles and Cheryl... (and I don't smoke)

He is absolutely beautiful. And, how cute was his son?!?

Steve O and Lacey were pretty good! I loved the comment he made in rehearsal, "That oughta get me some more 5's from the judges!" lol And then he got his best score yet!

gaylos said...

Hey everyone, good morning! I enjoyed reading all the comments from last night. Don't shoot me for what is going to just my humble opinion :) :)

Yes it was indeed Heather Mills in the audience. Wonder how come she came. Usually you see stars whose season just ended or maybe from two seasons back.

To the poster who made the comment that while Gilles is good, Cheryl has already won twice and "let's not get too greedy", I have to say I think that's a bit unfair. Just from the point of view that while I know fans vote based on the professionals as well, no one should penalise a celebrity based on who their partner is and if they've won before. If that celebrity is the best, or is very good, then they deserve every chance at success... not a biased vote "against" Cheryl...

I have to also disagree with the comments about this being the best season overall in terms of the dancers! I have actually been thinking that this is one of those seasons with quite a few dancers who just won't cut it in the end: Holly, Denise (although I think she could have improved if she shook off those monkeys on her back), Steve O and Steve W. The season that had Mel B was AWESOME! I remember even the judges saying that they've never had such a high scoring opening first weeks.

The season with Sabrina Bryan (not sure if it was the same as Mel B's season) was also fantastic...

Tonight, Ty really regressed a bit into the stiffness from which he'd come out last two weeks. He's still come such a long way though. Chuck was good, but I still thought he looked a bit unnatural with some of the steps. Not stiff, but not graceful and like a real leading man. I still don't think he's got what it takes to win. Final four or five maybe.

DAG is trying, but I do think he's working against a bit of a pre-bias. Lawrence is disappointing me. He's another one I think has got it all there to be really good, but is just not using it in the right way. What were Edyta's sleeves attached to last night?! LOL!

Gilles to me was near perfect again. To be fair, I do think it wasn't as PERFECT as that tango last week, but it was pretty darned close. I would have given it 29.5 if that were possible. The man is just beauty to behold.

Lil Kim did well, and Steve-O tried his best with what he's go. He's got to go though. Melissa should attempt a paso doble again is they get the chance to... She needs to work on intensity, because if she ever has to do the tango, the same type of passion is needed. And yes, she DOES have a Marie Osmond resemblence! It's in the mouth/top lip/smile!

Take care everyone!

RBennie said...

I was not much impressed with those pasos last night. Gilles was the best of the night by far, but when compared to past pasos like Mel B and Maks and Mario and Karina, I think those still have him beat. I think the waltzes were overall better last night. Loved Shawn and Mark and Lil Kim and Derek. I thought DAG and Kym were scored too low. I think Melissa would have benefitted from thinking about Jason as she did her paso, LOL.

Tessa said...

Go Gilles!

becky said...

RBennie said... I was not much impressed with those pasos last night... I think Melissa would have benefitted from thinking about Jason as she did her paso, LOL.

Oh, RBennie, that deserved a spit alert!

What did y'all think of Max and Karina. Was that hot or what? I haven't said it yet but I have been impressed with the improvement with Karina's attitude and expressions this season.

I see Steve O is safe. Good. But I don't think he deserves to be in the final four or so. I think if he goes that far it will be on popular vote for Lacey, not for his performance.

What in the hoot is going on with the bald guys wearing skirts?

monty924 said...

I'm late tonight, but better late than never. I'm glad to see Steve-O safe this week. I don't think he's a long termer, but its nice to see him get the chance to improve. I'm worried about Ty and Chelsie. :(

monty924 said...

Aw, I love Lacey's brother.

monty924 said...

Uh oh, DAG and Kym might be gone!?!

becky said...

Chuck was FUNNY! He is really cute.

Ty is safe! Good. The two I thought would be in the bottom two are.

I wonder why the judges don't like Kym and DAG? They are very obvious in their dislike. I hope they stay a while longer.

becky said...

Hey, they didn't compare David to Kym as a dog and a lamp post!

He is funny. But he sure looked like he could spit on the judges. WOW, wonderful scores.
