Off Topic, a Meme, and a Dangling ... Um ...

Later on tonight we have a new episode of The Amazing Race. But of course, I'll get a blog post up for that one! But until then, I've got a bit of everything for you with only one TV mention.

OMG!!!! (As the kids would say.) I watched Cops after getting home from work last night and was surprised by a dangling um ... male anatomy piece (don't want to say the word and have people find this blog by searching for it). For a good twenty seconds, dangling in the wind and out of the pants and even in a bit of a close-up! Who edits these things? It was SO much more than the Marcus Survivor bits! How could they miss it? Yikes!

Clicking on any of the images below will open them up larger in a new window ...

Who watches the watchers? This is a shot I took of two gulls on a parking lot lamp. There's something about it that I like, perhaps that it's simplistic. I don't know.

Yep, the Big Apple Circus is still there. I still haven't been.

Breaking news from New Jersey: A giant, possibly radioactive, rat has been terrorizing Route 287 in Northern Central New Jersey just outside of Bridgewater. Do NOT drive on Route 287 until we can get the giant cats from Rockland County in New York to battle this hazard!

Now onto one of those memes I found out on the web. If you do this on your blog, please link to here in comments so we can see! I'm not tagging anyone, so no one is obligated. But it is kind of fun!

77. Broken a bone -- Broke my right collarbone at three (falling out of bed), my right big toe at ten (leaping on rocks in the "crick" at my grandparent's house), broke two vertebrate in my back falling from a kitchen counter while doing a yoga position at twelve, greenstick fracture of the left arm (being struck by a moving car trying to kill me decades ago when I worked as a store detective) and I shouldn't even mention that major bones in your leg are broken (sawed) in knee replacement surgery.

Once at a traffic accident, I put a tourniquet (belt) on a man's leg as he was bleeding from a cut artery. I was told it was excellent work. Thanks for the warning about the Rockland Co. cats. I had no idea! I'll keep a lookout. (I DID hear one of the "sonic booms".) (I think it was thunder, as there were more not-as-loud ones after. It was around 6 am so I'm really not sure.) Where is our COPS video? ;) When do you think TAR will be on tonite?

Wow!! that's list is almost like writing an auto-biography!! Reading those is the way you find out "little" things about people(like no cell phone?)

I have seen Cops but not that one ;-] It was filmed in a surburb of my town and aired about 6 episodes they had filmed. It is funny to watch and say, "Oh I know where that Taco Bell is". LOL

Some off topic comments:

I have been busy and not able to comment on all the shows....
Amer Idol--I loved the song that Randy and Carrie sang. It is a big hit on the radio right now except it is just her singing it. I have a friend who choreographs line dances and several weeks ago when I heard that song I wrote him and told him to listen to it. A few hours later and responded that he loved it so much he was already working on a dance.
I'm glad Anoop is still there...thought he and Chris were the best last week. Adam's song was bizarre. I know he's a risk-taker but he better be careful.

Survivor--2 more weeks until it's back to the game. I know there is a "new" show this Wed. but it is just re-caps and outtakes.

DWTS--I am so glad to see Melissa on there...what a break for her! I'll bet Tony is happy to finally have a partner that he can really showcase. Usually there are only a few people that I would like to see gone but this season I am not fond of David Allen Greir, Steve-O, the computer guy-Wozenack, Holly Madison, or Denise Richards....maybe some of them will grow on me.

Biggest Loser--it is amazing to see how far they have come. Last week's home visits had me crying through most of the show.

And tonight is Amazing Race- other than Victor being condescending to his sister I really kind of like everyone, love the landscape and the challenges.

Have a good week everyone...thanks for keeping us together Jackie and Zoe your graphics are always the BEST!!!

Jackie, I really like that simple photo, too. It almost looks like a pencil drawing, yet it's a photo. Very cool. Ha! My WF is vermen, which is funny since we are talking about pigeons.

I've never seen Cops except for bits while I'm passing thru channels. I can't believe I've missed bits of bits! Geesh ...

See you later for AR. Like Nana said, there's nobody to dislike right now except for Victor and his attitude. I wonder if he will be able to lose some of that before the game is over.

Thanks to you and ZoeTawny as always. What did I do for TV fun before Terry told me about this place? I was lost but now am found!

Wow! Jackie, your life sounds a lot more exciting than mine! The meme was fun!

Wow Jackie, that's one MEME worth reading. I agree with the commenter who said you learn so much about someone you "know" by reading it.

You climbed a mountain? Held a praying Mantis? So cool that you were in a position to save not one but two lives!

Ok,I'm dying to know what scenes you were an extra in for teh Way We Were... Did you see Hubble? Was it in front of the Plaza? Do you have any pix of you in costume? Don't hold out!

You and one other person I know do not like or have cells -- and he was VP of Bear Stearns for years. Made him unreachable. NOw that there are no public pay phones left, it's a big struggle for him though. He relied on those.

I broke my LEFT collarbone when I was a kid. I knew we had SO much in common! :-P But I never attempted to eat Caviar... you are a better woman than I there, for sure.

The pigeons on the light posts look like they belong there, as tho part of the post.

I'll go comment on the rest of your posts now.
