Buh-bye Coach (wishful thinking)

Hello Survivor Friends!

I say Debbie goes tonight....

Delee said...

I brought the champagne to share and celebrate Elaine's birthday...wonder what tonight will bring!!!

monty924 said...

Thanks, Laurie.... YUM!!

Delee said...

Wish I had known there was going to be tacos...just ate Chef-Boy-R-Dee 95% fat-free cheese ravioli and 2 slices of peanut butter toast. HAHA

Hi Monty-Jackie-Laurie

Sangrias leftover from Cinco de Mayo! Oh wait, they say the longer it ages the better they are. So drink up and enjoy the show. I guess if I am a little tipsy, Coach won't bug me so much.

Love the Survivor auction!

Chicken hearts, ewwwww

Delee said...

Yuck cold fries, now chicken parm/glass of red wine, covered item nachos, covered again delicacy LOL chicken hearts, last thing phone can pool $ to buy Taj is getting $ from many. How nice!

monty924 said...

OMG, that is awesome. I can't believe they did that for her. GREAT!!!!!!

monty924 said...

That is freaking awesome. What a twist!!!

Jackie S. said...

Aww - They all gave her the money to see the video message! Of course, it's not a huge sacrifice for her to go to Exile with her husband to get all the other loved ones at camp for the others.

Laurie said...

OMG, getting tipsy would help with the coach factor. Please hand me a bit glass of sangria, Waiting! Shout out to Jax, Monty, Delee, and everyone else who shows up.

Monty, Debbie leaving would be fine. I had a 10 year old tell me today that the coach will stay because if he goes to the end the other person will win. Duh ... why didn't I think of that?

becky said...

Ohhh, the tacos look yummy! Reading email and let the time get away from me.

Coach and his damn "high stadards" and "honesty" -- what a laugh. He wouldn't know either of those unless they bit him on the behind. And then he would think it was a mosquito.

Delee said...

They can do stuff on the island that they could not do in camp...HAHAHA

becky said...

I still think they should rid themselves of Coach. Give me a pitcher of those drinkies. It will help get the thought of Coach out of my mind!

Crap, who calls Coach Dragonslayer but coach? Wish he would give all of us whatever he is poppin' or smokin!

monty924 said...

Love, love Eddie George. I'm glad he got to see what Taj has been through in this. What a great coach to give you a pep talk, huh?

Laurie said...

Becky, I'm pretty sure he's the only one who calls him Dragon Slayer. It's part of his delusional life. If a real dragon came along his path I believe he'd be runnin' and squeelin' and maybe even peein'!!

monty924 said...

Debbie's hubby reminds me of Taylor Hicks

monty924 said...

Taj is one lucky woman. How about those guns on Eddie?

Jackie S. said...

JT's sister looked about 15.

Wonderful champagne, Delee. Happy Birthday, Elaine. With all I am drinking (and I am not a drinker) I am glad I have a cab picking me up.

Wonder if Taj got her conjugal visit?

Anonymous said...

Saw a Komodo once while on vacation in the Carribean, the "man" I went with scream and ran, before I even acknowlegde if that was really what I saw!!! Dragonslayer my ass. Maybe I was with Coach? I don't know the Sangrias are going to my head!

Becky, I think that would be a "conjungle" visit!

ROFWMPLOLOLOL Sounds like D. S. --you know, Deep S*it!

I am no fan of Debbie, but please get rid of Coach -- NOW.

monty924 said...

Okay, Stephen is officially a genius. I could hardly wrap my head around what he just said, but I know it was brilliant. I think the sangria and champagne is working on me too!

SueGee said...

Yipee I have Stephen in the pool and we are still alive!!! I so want him to be in the finals

becky said...

Who was Coach's guest? I just thought of something. You know they will see this show. Don't you know they are saying -- say what? Who called him D.S.?

If it is a son, I feel sorry for him. Like that two handed drinking, Laurie.

Stephen is a smart one.

monty924 said...

Taj is safe tonight. Its Debbie or Coach tonight and I'm sticking with Debbie.

becky said...

Well, I'm out of the game. I can't believe they didn't vote Coach out. I-D-I-O-T-S!

Jackie S. said...

Becky- That was his assistant coach.

monty924 said...

They;ll get rid of Coach in good time. It was smart to get rid of Debbie tonight. Cheers!

becky said...

After the way Debbie lied to Sierra, I was not unhappy to see her go. I just wanted Coach to go more.

Wonder how they will explain it to Coach that they voted out his chosen one.

Petals said...

Is Coach gay?

becky said...

Night all. My cab is here.

joy n said...

Wonder what Coach will think about Debbie voting for him?

becky said...

Petals said...Is Coach gay?

I wouldn't be surprised. No woman would put up with him! (Flipping my hair over my shoulder as I go out the door.)

Laurie said...

Petals, I think coach is androgynous. Neither man nor woman would put up with his stuff. I think he has elevated himself to a status of not needing sex ... or so he tells himself.

Of course, I actually don't know any of that to be true but I like the story!

So Debbie is out, eh? Well, it will be fun to watch that play out tonight. Coach is now without an ally, isn't he?

meb said...

Well I obviously got drunk over at Elaine's birthday party cause I missed the party going on over here. Did Sydney pass out too... she's not here either.

Oh dear, repent, I say, repent.

And now you tell me Coach is still there. Well, I have to admit, if they had kept Debbie, there would be too many females left to be safe for the guys.

Later..

Sydney said...

Sorry I missed it tonight! And I thought tivo recorded it but it's full of In Treatment videos... really there is no reason it didn't record. Will have to watch online. But we did catch the last 15 minutes and I CAN'T BELIEV COACH IS STILL THERE!!!!!

Laurie-- that was so nice of you -- you sign on when it's the middle of your afternoon to say hello and tonight you made DINNER! CONJUNGLE VISIT???? oooh, you're good!

Monty-- are you psychic? How did you know at the outset that Debbie would go?

Delee-- Excellent idea to toast PDX Granny for her B-day today!

Waiting in CA -- Thanks, I'll join you on that... Not sure any alcoholic stupor could minimize Coach's turn-off factor...
Hi Jax!

SUe Gee -- You're lucky! Too bad the pool wasn't for billions and billions of dollars (I say that because, apparently in this economy, a million isn't what it used to be).

Can anyone tell me how there is going to be a Final Two with 5 people left and only two shows left to air?

" " " Can anyone tell me how there is going to be a Final Two with 5 people left and only two shows left to air? " " "

I am assuming that one will be voted off next Thursday, one will be voted off within the first 1/2 hour of Sunday's finale and then the last one will be voted out as it is usually done.

Jackie S. said...

Anon - They'll probably have a final three. The finale show is two hours followed by the reunion.

M E 2 said...

I too was LMAO off when Coach told his assistant @@ that "THEY" call me the Dragon-slayer.

Huh? "They" who?? God, I hope by "THEY" he meant the voices in his head.

Or how 'bout when Coach told J.T. & Stephen that he was going to lay a reality check on them (who is this ASS?) and one of the 3 of them was going to win the whole thing. @@

And kudos to Jeff Probst for giving Coach the ribbing he so richly deserves! Although Coach proclaims that he "enjoys it."

Yeah, sure, there is nothing like being made a fool of (not that he doesn't do a fine job of it all by himself) on national tv, by the host of the show nonetheless.

M E 2 said...

Jackie, there can't be a final three. Not enough players left for that to happen. Currently 4 jury members with 5 players left. 3 more jury members needed, leaving a final two. The guy who got injured and left, sorry I have forgotten his name, insured that would be the case.

SueGee said...

I forget, but are any of you from the Bay Area (Like me?) There is a party coming up you may want to know about.

I won the pool for Survivor All-Stars last year at work. Sure wish it was work a bazillion dollars! I would like to prop up my 401K and retire!!!

This is long it's from Probst blog but it is priceless!!! MINI ORGASM: More rain. Wasn't very hard but it did make me a little moist. The rain. The rain made me moist. Relax everybody. Please don't waste your time writing to tell me I'm a pervert. I just ignore those posts.

The Dragon Slayer won immunity. Oh man, he is so happy! I love it. Imagine how great a story this will become as it grows over the next 20 years.

Coach: ''And then, it was raining so hard that you literally could not see. Even Jeff said, 'It's raining so hard, I can't see.' But I dug deep and I used my ability to meditate while standing and that allowed me to see through the impenetrable rain. Something only Jedi masters can do.

''Then, I used my telepathic powers to guide the ball through a maze that was so difficult it had never been accomplished by anyone before. Even Jeff said so: 'This challenge is so difficult, no human being has ever accomplished it before!'

''When I finally won, Jeff tried to put the immunity necklace around my neck but due to me bench pressing 350 lb tree trunks earlier in the day my neck was too big for the necklace. That was another first. Even Jeff said as much, 'Wow, I've never seen a neck so big as a result of bench pressing 350 lb tree trunks that I can't get the necklace around. That's impressive.' ''

I'm so happy that I'm gonna be part of a Coach tall tale!

Finally...I will miss Sierra. I'm sure she earned most of the grief people gave her, but I still found her to be a bit of an underdog. That's just how I roll. She certainly made the show interesting. I'm not sure if she's a hero or a villain but she was definitely memorable. Goodnight, Sierra-Moto.

That's all I'm gonna say about this subject. Period. Paragraph. (Yes, that is a Coach-ism. I just couldn't resist.)

Laurie said...

Hey everyone on PDT. Now it's finally our turn to see the coach be an a$$ ... sure enough the show starts with him spouting off about how people didn't follow his orders. Ugh! No wonder we drink when we watch this show!

I see we still have almond champagne and dark chocolate and strawberries available for our hour of tv. So nice! Don't mind if I do!

Great show! Taj is one lucky girl. Eddie George is hot. :)

Loved the jury coming in with their feathers in hair and throwing the jackets over the shoulder, a la Dragonslayer. lol

Sorry I missed the party. I think I will finish up that sangria right now... Just what the doctor ordered!

Laurie said...

I loved the jury action, too. I wonder if coach even got it?

Sorry I didn't leave more Sangria but I think there's enough to get you mellow!

If I were in the game I would keep coach until the end, that would guarantee me all the votes.

RBennie said...

Great show last night. The only thing that could have made it better was Coach going home, but I'll take what I can get with Debbie leaving. Taj really had me tearing up when she got the message from her husband and when she realized what he actually said, it was priceless, and yes, he is quite the hottie! Did anyone else think it was quite sad and pathetic that the closest thing to a relative they could find for Coach was his Asst. Coach? I think that says a lot about the guy. I really hope that JT and Stephen will stick with Taj to the end. I really don't want to see them turn on her. The scenes for next week make it look like Erin might be in trouble, but I'm really hoping it will be Coach's time to go. BTW, whatever that was that Stephen did to remember that equation was freaking brilliant! It almost made him look sexy - at least for a nanosecond, LOL.

Anonymous said...

Why is it that every season they continue to not take out players that need to go ...COACH...!!!!!! This is going to bite them all in the ass. Debbie could be used as a pawn by the tribe to do whatever they wanted her to do.Coach is a lose cannon and I bet that the time they really want to vote him out is when he wins immiunity. It's so frustrating to see these mistakes again and again every season. Which always makes me yell at the TV have you never watched freaking survivor before come on people! Then again I yell at the Amazing race contestants too because they all got pissed when the were first to arrive at the pits stops and then they have to wait hours for a flight out only to have other teams arrive and they get pissed it cracks me up. I digress though ....Coach needs to be gone now!

RBennie said...

Someone mentioned something about Coach being pissed about Debbie being voted out. Well Debbie handed JT & Stephen the perfect excuse to give Coach. She was trying to sell him down the river, which is proven by her vote for him, and they were watching out for him. Although I don't know what excuse they will use for not telling him ahead of time.

Anonymous said...

Who would wind if the final two came down to JT and Stephen? Those two must be awesome since they are still around. People seem to like them so much. I do hope one of them wins.

dla said...

Anonymous, great question. I believe that, as of today, the vote would swing toward a win for JT.

However, if they have future challenges that involve brain power as displayed by Stephen on the last episode, that could change.

If it comes down to those two players, it will probably swing toward which player is most impressive through the remainder of the game.

Also, if either of them are able to coordinate any epic moves or blindsides that don't alienate the jury, that could also work in their favor.

Quite possibly whoever pulls off removing the Dragonslayer from the game may end up with the votes from the entire jury. :)

Laurie said...

Good question Anon, and I think dla is right. If they voted today it would be JT but Stephen is quietly growing on people with his thoughtful ways and brainpower. He doesn't have that "awe shucks" charm that JT has but he has something else going for him.

If they don't get coach out next week I think they may be sorry. He needs to go. I know, I've been saying that every week, but every week it's true!!

Oh, did you know they call me "Wonder Woman"?

Donna in Alabama said...

Donna in Alabama said...

Okay, are you all ready to get the Dragon-Slayer? Sizzle, I mean Anti-Verbosity, Queen of Silence, bring it on with the STFU gun!

PDX Granny said...

Thanks for the birthday cheers!! As usual, I'm running a bit behind, and just read them. I wanted to see the show before finding out who got the boot.

A great show! The only thing wrong with it is that coach (with little "c") is still hanging around. That guy gets on my last nerve. So much so that I've been looking around for some of that aged sangria that anon made for the party. I see the leftover champagne that Delee brought for my b'day has lost it's bubbly.

From the comments, I see I'm not the only one who thinks Taj is one lucky lady! Not only is her hubby a hot hunk, but he gave her a foot massage and said she was sexy. What's not to love there!!

When I watched Stephen falling off the board so much, it almost looked like he wasn't even trying. I'm so glad that wasn't the case. That he was able to remember all those symbols was amazing.

Now, if they'll just listen to us and get rid of DS (as in D*p S**t) I'll be happy.

I wonder what would happen if Taj ended up in the F2, up against either Stephen or TJ. The jury will talk and it won't be long before people figure out just how well those two have worked together. So far, I don't think Taj has made any enemies and that could be to her advantage down the road. DS doesn't like her, but he doesn't count in my mind! :)

Anonymous said...

Okay, I'm dumb. What is STFU???

Anonymous said...

Never mind. I just figured it out.

Anonymous said...

I'm just wondering if anyone else has considered the fact that KEEPING COACH would be a highly strategic move for Stephen and JT? My thoughts are 1) it should be easy for them to explain the Debbie vote (she turned on you coach & we didn't want her seeing us talking to YOU about HER and we knew we had the votes against her w/o risking her seeing us talking) 2)if they manipulate coach (should be easy) into buying this line, they have his loyalty and vote for Erin (first) and Taj (next) (or vice versa if 1 wins immunity--just want to keep Taj in as long as possible for her alliance vote); By taking Coach to the final 3 they are virtually guaranteed to win; I would actually take him to second place w/me if I were 1 of those 2-- given that the jury would never give him the win. He's gotten under everyone's skin too much.

RBennie said...

While I agree that keeping Coach would be a smart strategic move, I really don't want to be robbed of the chance to watch him get blindsided. That would be almost as satisfying as last season when that really rude and crude guy (don't recall his name) got so viciously blindsided. Remember him trying to play that fake idol? Priceless.

meb said...

I had forgotten about that guy RBennie. That WAS priceless when he tried to play the fake idol. The look on his face was worth watching the whole season just to get to that part.

Didn't someone make a fake idol this year too? What happened to that.

OK fellow Warriors, let us go forth and slay the DS next episode. Time for jerk to go. I'd rather see a TJ and Stephen or Taj final 2 or a combination of all three paired. Is it only going to be a F-2 this year. I hope so, the F-3 always leaves one person sitting there looking stupid.
