Big Brother 11 Live Feeds Noms and More 9/04

Okay, Natalie's mysterious Pandora's Box has taken away her shot at playing for power of veto. I think that's the only truth being told. The boyfriend story was fabricated with Kevin at her side. Yet Kevin doesn't know the details of Pandora's Box either.
  • Natalie has been saying that she planned to put Michele and Kevin on the block.
  • Will the fact that only Kevin can try to save himself affect her choice? Or will she let her ally sink or swim on his own?
  • There were little people in the period of blocked feeds. Or, perhaps a single little person. Kevin was scared. There was also a cockroach lady. I don't think I want to know.
  • Another truth was that a picture of Natalie's boyfriend was on the box. But the rest seems to all be fabricated.
  • They got ready for their fashion show -- something Kevin said BB wanted them to do.
  • Nominations went down as expected. Natalie nominated Kevin and Michele.
  • Jordan Natalie again confirmed her final two deal with Jordan.
  • Natalie's speech was apparently very hurtful to Michele.
  • Why am I not surprised?
  • Kevin told Jordan and Michele he thinks there was more to Pandora's Box than the engagement. Why would someone hide an engagement and then say it was a prank?
  • Natalie said that she's not a good liar.
  • I say that she lies so much that she believes her own lies to be the truth.
  • Hey ... is that a pathological liar?
  • Kevin is very worried about going home. It's two against one in the PoV.
  • Kevin thinks that Michele is trying to work both Jordan and Natalie.
  • Kevin should worry. Natalie doesn't seem all that concerned that she can't save him.
  • Are you surprised?

I just read on another board that Natalie had a choice to talk to her bf on the phone or let a member from the Jury House come and play POV for her. No one knows what she chose.

Yes, I'm not sure what really happened either! I say at this point...

Anyone but Natalie...

Jackie, your seventh point. Jordan what?

It would surprise me if Natalie didn't screw Kevin over. She hasn't lost any sleep over screwing everyone else around. Kevin was just another means to an end and she doesn't need him anymore.

I think fans will raise hell if Nat had any contact with a juror. And if her greed lost her the POV shot, fantastic. Maybe Karma is finally rearing its head at our little she-devil.

I would absolutely LOVE it if the nasty biotch doesn't make it to f3. Wouldn't it be something if her greed is what does her in finally? Karma at its best!

I hope that the jury house for POV thing isn't true. I don't think anyone at the jury house should be able to come back and play for a POV in place of anyone, especially someone who has just ridden through till now and was lucky to get HOH in the first place.

chris said...

I am hoping it is that she gave up playing for POV to spend time with a jury member, and that was jessie i presume.
remember dan spent time with michelle to mend fences and get jury votes.
it would not be fair for her to get both, the jury member talk and have them play pov, their would be no consequence of opening the box then!
besides this was perfect for nat, she does not have to play pov, thus if kevin goes her hands are clean, that is why she did not give a rats ass.
she already proved herself to be greedy so....
GOOOOOOO Michelle win that veto
and get kev out
Here is hoping for a michelle jordan final two.
michelle and jordan should be studying together to win the veto!

jackie

did you mean jordan just solidified a final tow deal with michelle??

In my comments throughout this season I have given Natalie credit for her verbal game. She could seemingly talk anyone into anything, timed her whole-house comments well so others thought she was expressing her real feelings, and plotted to drop verbal bombs on the right person at he right time.
I started to think that would catch up with her because it certainly seemed like she began to blur the line between truth and lie and was buying in to herself. Hot mess!
Looks like that time is here now.
I thought it was priceless the way her mouth hung open when Julie announced it was a fact that Chima apologized. I think that shows how badly Natalie has things twisted in her own head now.
The Michele speech and Pandora's Box explanations seem to be the place where she pushed her verbal game too far....I hope.

wv: aylsts
Natalie is now an aylsts celebrity in her own mind.

I forgot to add that with her white robe, crown, and glasses Natalie reminds me of that King of the Jungle, a lemur I believe it is, in those Madagascar movies.
He gave a party for the Central Park Zoo gang proclaiming "Thank you, Freaks!"

To be fair, we don't know whether Natlaie has "ridden through" or been driving the entire house. She's played it pretty well overall.

And, also to be fair, there was no Janelle or Danielle this season, no comp here. Did anyone win more than two comps? Kevin, I think, won 1 HOH and 1 POV, Michelle I believe won one HOH and one POV. Jordan was handed 1 HOH by Jeff and won one POV. Natalie won one HOH. So, whether she was throwing comps or not, it is a little hard to argue that she is any less deserving than the other 3.

Jordan admits to being carried by Jeff. Michelle was carried by Jeff and mostly ignored by the others (she's played ok, but she's not Janelle). Kevin and Natalie carried each other.

Other than the fact that Natalie is a bit unlikable, I'm not sure it is ojectively fair to claim that she didn't earn her position in the F3 AS MUCH AS any of the other F4.

i wonder if Nat came up with that getup herself or maybe Kev did it for revenge.

At anyrate it's not as bad as what she wore on the show Thurs. That thing was utterly hideous and she was even going to wear a bandana with it. LOL

Oops. Fixed. NATALIE confirmed her final two deal with Jordan.

Not that Natalie can be believed, mind you.

Good plan or bad AG did manage to get everyone talking last night. I saw one tiny screen cap, just after Natalie left the HOH/PB room (on the landing outside the HOH that appears to show Jessie. When I saw it, it was too soon for a flashback but maybe I can look soon. Did you see it Jackie?

Michele has won 1 HOH and 4 POV's. She is the POV queen. Hope she can keep it up to take this whole game.

Maybe not with the same wham bam like James or Jannelle when they had their crucial point wins, but good game savers for her.

I am going to correct myself on Michele. She won 3 vetos, not 4. She won the POV competition where they were dressed up as Greeks, she won the flying pig veto and the morphamatic veto. I hope she can pull out one more this week.

Of course. In my humble opinion (I even spelled it out), my posts may be a bit verbose but I fail to see how they are any less humble than yours or anyone else on this board who says something like "Natalie doesn't derserve to be in the Final 4(3,2...). Period. DUN." That is an opinion stated without condition or limitation. It supposes a level of superiority in the poster that they are, in fact, in a position to judge Natalie or anyone else. It is stated in direct contradiction to my opinion. And doesn't even necessarily carry the "IMHO" or even the implication of an "IMHO".

This entire board is populated with people who think (possibly correctly) that either "Jessie is a tool" and/or "Jordan is nice", "Jeff was one of the Good Guys", "Natalie is mean". Those are ALL opinions and they all presuppose a level of superiority in the poster who believes they have the right to sit in judgement of someone else based on watching them for 3, 10, 50 hours per week on a game show. Now, I don't claim to be any more humble than those people (just more detailed) but I'm not sure it is fair to see that I am less humble either.

Just, as you can see, wordier! LOL

Definition of Humble:

1. not proud or arrogant; modest: to be humble although successful.

2. having a feeling of insignificance, inferiority, subservience, etc.: In the presence of so many world-famous writers I felt very humble.

3. low in rank, importance, status, quality, etc.; lowly: of humble origin; a humble home.

4. courteously respectful: In my humble opinion you are wrong.

5. low in height, level, etc.; small in size: a humble member of the galaxy.

I think anyone who goes through the trouble of watching the shows, reading the updates, thinking about it, reacting to it, taking the time to post about it would like to come back and find that someone has read what they have to say and think they have a valid point, observation, concern, question.
I think no one likes to come back and find that someone is questioning the validity of their point. Some accept the challenge and argue their point with supporting facts and opinions. Some take pot-shots at the offending poster. Others accept the differing arguments as part of the fun of BB.
More mature, less mature, more verbose, less verbose, poorly written, well written, long, short,
validating, argumentative, it's all fun IMHO.

OT - I have found most posters here to be generally humble, by definition 4 above: "courteously respectful". Joe has always been courteous and respectful. Lately we seem to have acquired commenters who are neither courteous nor respectful - which is sad because even when they might have something perceptive to say, we don't listen because they have taught us to ignore and reject them.

Ok, still a newbie here but finally figured out what y'all mean when you do the little "wv" thing.

As mine is "pregs" this go around, I don' think I should even attempt it. :)

I am somewhat shocked the Kevin let Nat put him up if she can't play POV. I know the POV winner has the power, but still after her leaving him locked in the box....

Anonymous said...

Welcome Lisanne ! I, too, have missed something in the Kevin on the block because he is in Nat's alliance move. I am mostly surprised by it because Kevin seems okay with it.

All is quiet in the house now. Kevin is in HOH on the bed and Natalie is in the HOH bathroom. Jordan is in SS room in bed with eyes wide open. Just a little while ago she was sitting on the steps to no where, by herself. She is wrapped in her white blankie. Michelle was alone in the kitchen, but I don't see her on a cam now. Kevin was just called to the DR.

All three appeared to be quietly thinking on their own about veto. Or they could be thinking about anything. But, they all seem to be waiting and aware of the importance of this comp.

All 4 cams just went to the HOH bathroom, and either my sound just went out or it is empty.

Sally said...

I agree with you, Margo and Silk! This board is much more fun when people comment about the BB contestants, game play and strategy, instead of critiquing each other's comments or tone.

Everyone here is entitled to their own opinions about the show and contestants, even if it's vastly different than your own and you think it makes no sense. If you agree or disagree, say so, but there's no need to judge, insult or disrespect each other.

Now back to the show: I've kept a running tally of who won what competitions this season:

Braedon--none
Laura--none
Casey--none
Lydia--none
Ronnie--HOH
Chima--HOH
Nat--HOH
Jessie--HOH (a gift), HOH
Russell--HOH, POV
Jordan--HOH, POV
Kevin--HOH, POV
Jeff--HOH, POV, POV
Michelle--HOH, POV, POV, POV

I have a question for Jackie or anyone who knows.

I thought making calendars, notes or cheat sheets of any kind with information about events in the house was forbidden. When Natalie and Kevin tried a few times previously (like with the chess set) BB made them stop. So can you explain how Kevin is being allowed to study the very obvious cheat sheet he has in the HOH room in preparation for this veto comp?

I have a screen cap of it but don't know how to show it here.

Thanks. Donna

Jordan just got through straighening Gnat's hair; what is it about her (Gnat) that makes people believe everything she says? I think it might be the fact that because she says she's 18 they consider her more vulnerable? I dunno, makes me crazy.

Susan in MA said...

Donna, you're right - Kevin is studying something!! Not fair, BB.

Anonymous said...

This is just me guessing..I don't know the BB rule. But, I think they don't have calendars in the house, but can make or use one. Gnat used nail polish for memory tricks. Maybe she got in trouble for that? Michelle told Russ she used her birth control prescription container as a calendar. I think the chess set was off limits because it was for the house use and they moved it and hid it. J and J used q tips to count with and I wondered what happened to all those.

The veto must be going on now.

Earlier when Nat was in the HOH bathroom and Kevin was on the HOH bed, studying alone, he asked Nat a question about how many pillows were in the house (or in the room). She gave an answer, maybe two answers. I am curious if it was the accurate amount or if she was trying to keep him from winning Veto. Does anyone know?

Billy said...

@ Karma's Biotch you are right about Jordan being carried up till now. All the same I don't think it's right for any of them to have any contact with a jury member after they have left the house. Michele has won quite a few POV's though and Kevin has been a strong contender the whole game. This is also my first season so I have been a little lost at times about the rules and what has been done in the past and why some of the HG's might do some of the things they do.

The Veto comp is apparently underway and Tuesday night is a long time to wait to have a "live" veto ceremony. Maybe BB thinks it will give the houseguests time to change the veto holders mind but I think everyone (except maybe Jordan) is pretty set with who they will evict if they win veto. It will be a disturbing 3 days listening to Nat lie and lie and lie some more to everyone to try to get them to do her bidding while keeping her "hands clean".

DKNYNC said...

In a list of BB rules I read:

Rule #7.Housemates may not communicate in code and/or foreign or sign languages.

* Housemates are FORBIDDEN TO WRITE ANYTHING using any material or surface in the House eg steam on glass.
* On the occasion Housemates are provided with a writing implement it is forbidden for this implement to be used for anything other than the express purpose for which it is provided.
* Housemates must speak in English at all times.

I know Kevin and Nat got a warning when they spoke spanish to each other. Since writing anything is forbidden Nat should have been warned about using nail polish. So what is Kevin's cheat sheet made of? It certainly isn't q-tips. He and Nat are hiding it and I think it's really unfair!

How fabulous would it be if they got penalty nominations1

Anonymous said...

If Jordan is listening to Natalie, she is as dumb as a rock, and I hope Michelle POV takes herself off the block which would mean Jordan goes up and I wouldn't care if Jordan left, she just does not think at anytime on her own, she does not deserve to win, she's a little too unstable to have such a large sum of money. Jeff told ner to stick with Michelle and what does she do run straight to Nasty.

Let's bring back the fun and joy to our blog! Let's not allow the doldrums of the BB house bring us down. Heck, we can go outside, watch tv, read the paper, talk to friends, travel anywhere we want ... and many of us have a 3-day weekend. We aren't going to win a half-mil, but we also aren't exposing our frailties and strengths for the rest of the world to see. Life is good!

As I remember it, the Tuesday show is a live use of the POV and live eviction. I'm not positive, but that's what I remember. It does give the contestants a long time to mull over their strategy and how they can make things go their way.

Welcome to all the newcomers and thanks for joining us in commenting on the show.

The weather in SoCal is pretty nice today. The temps have dropped some and there is some breeze, so it's nice to be outside again. If I were in the BB house, I'd be in the backyard enjoying the shade. Actually, I've been in my own backyard doing that and enjoying a good book!

Life is good, folks, enjoy it!

Natalie and Kevin show their true colors.

Anonymous said...

Kevin and Natalie both cheated with cheat sheets and speaking Spanish to one another. English is the language of the house and they both should have been given the boot. Natalie in particular for wanting to put something into Michele's contact lens case that would blur her vision. That is not funny. Natalie is a sanctiminous cheat and liar and I hope anyone but Nat wins.

Anonymous said...

I'm sure everyone here knew Jordan wasnt going to win the POV. The one time she did win POV if was just a fluke. I wish Michelle had won, however it will be interesting to see if they really ut Michelle out because Nat did say she will not win over Jordan with the jury vote. I guess I'm just wishing a little too much, it's kind of stupid to leave Michelle in the game. Jordan will never win any kind of a comp.

Anonymous said...

I said earlier that Gnat used nail polish. I should have been clear that I meant Natalie who was the bikini coffee bar worker from a past season. I didn't know it was a rule about not writing or using communications. Thanks for posting the rules.

One of Kevin and Natalie's warning was that they were talking Pig Latin. At least I read that somewhere. All 4 cams are on HOH with Nat, Kevin and Jordan. N and K are continuing to play out that they are not aligned, for Jordan's benefit. Jordan is both assured that she is staying and that Kevin will tell her (at her request) the day before she goes home, if it is decided she will be evicted.

I read on another site that Kevin said he couldn't have won if it hadn't been for that technical difficulty. I have no idea what they referred to, but I bet we will be hearing. Natalie said the calendar they made helped him a lot.

I am a long time fan of BB. Would you be so kind as to address in some form first the comment that Kevin made about the technical difficulties during the POV today (9/5/09) (he stated that he could see the questions and think about the answers before the POV started) - which sounds like he had an unfair advantage and the fans would like to know the truth - not a cover up. If there was a technical difficulty - can you explain what the next steps will be (possibly a do-over). Secondly can you explain allowing Kevin and Natalie to continue breaking rules with any penalties. They have spoken spanish and pig latin, have messed with the belongings of other houseguests (including stealing Michelle's gloves) and cheated by making a calendar "cheat sheet" to study for competitions. Surely this deserves a penalty nomination at least. It is just a game but it should be fair at all costs. If these situations are not explained, then I'm sure fans will believe Big Brother is rigged and they are foolish to continue watching. Please restore my faith in Big Brother.

Thank you for your attention to this matter

I am new in posting but I have been reading and following all the comments and Jackie's updates. This is a wonderful sight and I would like to thank-all of you for your input. I am, however, very disppointed in this BB. I am not a fan of Natalie and am disappointed she has come this far. I was a fan of Jeff, but now would have liked to see Michelle win but with Kevin winning the veto that seems like a done deal. One of the phrases that BB prides itself is "expect the unexpected," I think that was lacking this season; maybe they have run out of ideas. Anyway, I really don't have a real desire to follow this BB to the end. Hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend.

DKNYNC said...

What I've been reading is that Kevin said he saw the questions, then there was some technical difficulty and he was asked to turn around and face away from the questions. He himself said the extra time he had to think about the questions while they fixed the technical problem really helped him a lot. It doesn't sound like Michelle and Jordan had the same advantage. Hopefully BB will realized that Kevin saw the questions before Jordan and Michelle and had extra time to think and will call for a do-over. Not to mention that I don't understand how he was allowed to keep and use the cheat sheet he made.

Laurie said...

Donna, thanks for the address. Here's what I sent:

I join what I'm sure is a throng of people asking for a do-over of the POV today. Kevin admits he had an unfair advantage due to a technical difficulty. Let him win in fairly. This year has been a terrible year with some people being penalized for eating a grape, and others being allowed to use calendars, speak Spanish, and steal personal belongings from other players. Now there is a plot to make someone sick "just for fun".

IF there is a next season, please give us people who will play a fair game, not mean adults who act like children. Sure, your boards are lighting up but they are with complaints.

Again, give us a re-do on the POV comp. Make it fair for everyone and have the end of the game be played with some integrity.

PDX Granny said...

If anhyone saw the questions, and then talked about it and how seeing was a game wining (in my words) advantage, then how can BB possibly not do something about it? It wouldn't matter who it was. Nobody should be given an unfair advantage like that ~ especially with it being so close to the end!!

Wouldn't it be great if they decide to have a do-over and Michele wins? I'd just love to see that little pit bulls reaction to something like that!! Sure would liven up the last few days. : )

Kevin is talking about making Michele's life miserable for the next few days. I was wanting to like him, but don't think this is going to help his case in my mind!

What's the purpose of it??? She's not dumb. She knows that the numbers point to her leaving. Kevin being a jerk isn't going to make any difference in whether or not she goes or stays. But it just might make a difference in who she votes for in the end.

Joe in NY said...

Let's all take a big step back. Since we don't know exactly what happened, it's all speculation. Maybe they all saw the questions and then there was a technical difficulty and then they came back around. Maybe not. But I think it's a little early to get all upset without knowing what happens. Frankly, you wouldn't think Kevin would go around saying that he had an unfair advantage even if he did.

Personally, I think Kevin and Natalie deserve to be in the F2. Honestly, most people on this board were cheering CD'E week when Jessie got ousted and Chima got herself evicted and Michelle won HOH. Everyone was convinced that Jeff & company would finish picking off the last of Jesse's Posse and make the final 4. As much as no one likes K/N, I still give them props for turning the entire house around, despite being outnumbered 4 to 2. Pretty good game play, even if you don't like them personally.

(IMHO)

My first chance to get here today and hoped to hear some GOOD news. Not to be, I see.

I'm afraid you are right and Michele is a goner. That really makes me sad.

I know it's a game, but after all these weeks invested in watching game play by these hgs and then deciding which ones you hope to see win, it's a letdown when one of your least faves looks almost destined to win it all.

I'm speaking for myself and my choice is usually chosen more for personality than game play. If some hgs are good with both, all the better. That's just me.

I realize it's not fair to judge an hg only with what I see and hear on the show and with what I read, BUT since that's all I DO have to make judgements, that's how I make a decision on my faves and least faves.

I don't like Nat and I don't like her style of game play or her non-gameplay antics. I don't like that she lies, gloats, steals, cheats, instigates, etc.etc.. I don't like that she is a 24 year old who doesn't bathe regularly and eats like a pig. I don't like that she is mean, to the point of cruel. Wwhat I like least about her is that she does all of this without regret and actually enjoys the reactions she gets from doing so. There is nothing that I like about her as a person. No matter if others feel she's played a great game, I think she's played the dirtiest game of any hg ever and I'm just saying so. These are my "facts". I've never said they have to be anyone elses's.

Saying all that, BB has changed (IMO) over the years and 2 or 3 (now 4) of the last few seasons are beginning to make me feel a little disenchanted with the show anyway.

It seems that "they" are going to get Natalie to the final with Jordan, as that really is the only person(?) that Jordan could beat in final 2 IMO.

Jordan will not beat ANYONE!! Only jeff (and i'm not sure he will) will vote for her.

Jordan will not win a place in the final2 if she has to win a comp. So as hard as it is to swallow, that means a Kevin/Natalie f2. I dont like Kevin but I like Natalie less.

You are so right, Jordan would only get two votes at the most Jeff and Michelle, Michelle will probably vote for hre, not because she has played any type of game, only because Kevin and Natalie have been so mean to her

joyn , I completely agree with all you said. We know it's a game and a tv show, but it's supposed to be fun for the audience. This year has not been fun most of the time.

I love the boards and the chat with each other but I don't know if I'd give this show the time of day again.

I agree with you on much of what you've said. Not Natalie, exactly, but that is because many of my students (and younger colleagues) don't seem much different...well, other than bathing more regularly! LOL I've learned to tolerate such things.

The show has definitely changed over the years, but that's sort of inevitable. Imagine what Survivor would be like today if Kelly Wigglesworth (the comp champ) had won instead of Richard Hatch? The same is true of BB. If Dr. Will wins and Nakomis succeeds, it changes the way all subsequent contestants view the show. Ultimately, the reason the show changes is because the contestants are no longer virgins: they've seen the show, they've seen who wins and they start to become mimics of previous contestants.

In the end, BB or Survivor are microcosms of society. I'm not sure what it ultimately says about us that the best liars seem to always beat the strongest competitors. Is it the way the game is constructed or is it the way societies operate? I guess I'll leave it to the sociologists to determine.

The one place I differ with you is that, while I certainly have my favorites, I'm not as emotionally vested as you seem to be in the outcome. It's kind of like the Buffalo Bills or NY Yankees (my favorite sports teams): when I was young, I used to live and die by what they did. I would be physically and emotionally upset if they lost. I would be jubilant if they won. But then somewhere along the way I decided that I didn't care that much because my life didn't actually improve or degrade based on the performance of my teams. They don't share the winnings with me, so how vested could I be in the game? I feel the same way about BB. While I like my favorites to win, the celebration lasts 5 minutes. And while I hate to see my favorites lose, the disappointment lasts 5 minutes also.

Clearly, many of you are far more vested emotionally. At the thought that Nat and Kevin might be the Final 2 you are yelling and screaming and, apparently, writing Allison Grodner suggesting that Nat and Kevin need to be thrown out for some minor violations. Hard for me to feel that emotionally vested.

Joe, I thought YOU would know a joke when you saw one...

I said you were anything but humble because you wrote IMHO 4 times across the bottom of your comment. I was kidding...

You didn't need to write an epic explaining how you can be just as humble as anyone else, and you certainly didn't need any back up.

It was a joke ...

I'm not saying that the emotional effects will affect me long. Within weeks of it ending, I will have forgotten most of their names.

I remember the most memorable people and, unfortunately, I will remember Natalie. But not in a good way.

PS: The best reason for forgetting their names will be that I'm trying to remember the Survivor's names!

That is probably the saddest thing I've heard in some time. The fact that people have come to tolerate such despicable, cruel, unethical behavior is depressing. What happened to human decency? I am raising my daughter to be a decent, caring, thoughful, fair person who treats people the way she would like to be treated. Watching someone like Natalie succeed makes me sick and knowing people think it's okay because other young people are similar is horrifying. I realize it's a tv show game but it's disheartening to think there are other people like Nat and that people think that kind of behavior is acceptable in any way. What does that say about the future of our society?

Ya know, it's one thing to be "mean" for strategy purposes...but when the "intended victim" is no longer in the room and you still think it's funny or enjoy it just a little too much; it says lots about your character.

Natalie and Kevin show their true colors.

And Laurie, I agree. Thanks for posting that.

I tweeted friggin Alison G to redo the veto.

PS: I thought all of this about meanness and not liking to watch abuse should have been said about ED in his season, but half the blog LOVED him and he was terribly abusive... (and his daughter was a big whiner, not some way to show how loving a father ED was to balance his persona out on the show). Can't believe AG kept her job in the last few years. IMO

@Karma's Biotch

You're right. It is all just pure speculation. We do not know what happened or that Kevin had any more of an advantage than any of the others.

That said I lump Kevin and Natalie up as pretty much the same person at this point because they are both just mean spirited for the sake of being mean. What has Michele done to them to deserve their constant plans of cruelty? Of the 4 that are left I would like to see Michele wins but that probably isn't going to happen. I'm going for Jordan again when Michele inevitably leaves not because I don't think that Natalie or Kevin didn't play good games but because they are just so mean spirited.
