Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains - Blog Party Post - 2/25 Episode

As Snowzilla attacks outside, it's time for Survivor inside! This post will be updated with the major events as they air here on the East Coast. Late tonight, my full review will be posted on TV Squad. But, until then, the real fun is in the comments area right here -- feel free to jump in with your thoughts on the show, everyone is welcome! Survivors ready?

Heroes RULED the combined immunity/reward challenge, so the Villains finally go to Tribal this week.

Randy, the tribe has spoken. Buh-bye!

I'm first!!

I won't be reading because I want to be surprised! I guess I'm turning over a new leaf!

However, I hope the Hero's win tonight. I hate that one team is better than the other in the last several seasons.

Happy watching!

oooo-we-ooo-we-iiiii Time for Survivor! Hey, Dusty.

Sydney said...

RAWK AWN Survivors!

Sydney said...

HI Dusty and Becky and Jackie.

Snowmageddon 2 huh? Or is it 3? I am SO jealous!!!!!!

Becky said...

Hey, Sydney and Jackie. I didn't mean to skip you while ago. I was too busy singing. DH hates it when I do that before Survivor. See Pavoritti (??) is up to her old tricks. I like Rob this season for some reason.

Hello all...

I brought chicken wings and iced cold beer! :)

I couldn't believe Russell and Parvarti cuddling. Ewwww!

Joe in NY said...

I still find Russell charming...

Sydney said...

Hmmm. I bet Russell's wife is NOT going to believe that his stroking Pavardi while she's sleeping with her head on his chest was necessary to win the game.

Jackie S. said...

... a charming snake oil salesman!

Jackie S. said...

Sydney - Second really big storm for here. It's not supposed to stop until Saturday. I'm hoping it's going to be terrible and I'll have to call out of work tomorrow.
;-)

Sydney said...

Hi Monty, Joe. I brought fat free Bryers Vanilla ice cream and I'm serving it with bananas and organic low fat brownies. DELISH. Who wants one?

I have my traditional homemade guac and chips as back up.

I am loving Boston Rob. He's not being annoying, that's why you like him this season.

Becky said...

Joe, you can have Russell all to yourself! OMYUK! Russell is up to his old tricks and Coach is telling his boring stories.

Sydney said...

oh geeze, that's coach singing. I thought it was recorded overlay. EEK

Joe in NY said...

How funny is that?

Joe in NY said...

Frankly, Parvati and Russell is a perfect tandem. Parvati has the social skills that Russell sometimes lacks. They could go far together...

Sydney said...

So far, Coach isn't being too too annoying. I would love to see them vote Pavadri out.

monty924 said...

Oh, JT is a little stinker this season!!!

monty924 said...

Another brutal comp coming up here. Tee hee!

Sydney said...

Courtney the toothpick. Its; really distressing looking at her and it's only the first week or two in.

Sydney said...

oh shit. Rupert fell. Coach should not celebrate. Oh do ovah!

Sydney said...

go for center of gravity not the head.

Sydney said...

ooh, just saw James has a tongue piercing.

monty924 said...

This is a skunk!!!!

Sydney said...

tyson kissed JT!

Sydney said...

ugh, Danielle looks miserable,. Even mud on her teeth!

Sydney said...

KING KONG VS. RANDY. HOW CAN YOU GO UP AGAINST THOSE MUSCLES.

Joe in NY said...

What is up with James?

Sydney said...

NOw James didn't need to throw the mud pillow on his head. Why is James so nasty this season? He used to be relaxed, shy and funny.

Sydney said...

Maybe once he got home being on Survivor changed his life? (James)

monty924 said...

Ooooo, which one of the Villains will be going tonight? I have no idea.

Sydney said...

Jackie -- I hope that you don't have to go in either!!!

monty924 said...

James is an entirely different player this season. I'm not liking him tonight. I took his side last week, but that was just ugly. Grrrr

Becky said...

WOW! The Heros won 8-zip! They whoped a$$.

Elizabeth Beetschen said...

Glad to see the heroes finally win.

monty924 said...

They're making it look like Parvati. I don't buy it. They won't vote her off.

Sydney said...

Totally agree with what Jeri just said.

~~Silk said...

Joe in NY, Russell, charming? Channeling Inigo Montoya, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Sydney said...

RE the cougar remark from Pavardi. Since when are they calling women as young as Jeri a cougar?

Ahhh you'll be old soon enough biotch.

monty924 said...

Haha, A bitter old cougar! I can see very well that Parv and Jerrie don't like each other, LOL!

Joe in NY said...

It's Randy.

Silk, LOL, I know exactly what "charming" means and it applies to Russell and Parvati in slightly different ways. They are both self-centered biotches, but people still like them.

And, I know this won't make me popular, but Jeri is well into her cougar years. A cougar is anyone over 35 who dates younger men. Sorry girls...

Joe in NY said...

See, Randy is NOT "charming". He's no more destructive than Russell, but he makes everyone dislike him even when he's making sense.

Dusty said...

Okay, I couldn't resist. I had to check in! But, I'm not going to see who's going to be voted out!

Resist the urge...
resist the urge...
resist the urge...

~~Silk said...

I thought cougar was over 40. I'm a panther!

SueGee said...

Howdy everyone! Happy Survivor night!

Anyone take a peek and see who got booted on AI?

Sue on the Left Coast (who can't wait for anything anymore)

Joe in NY said...

Going to be an interesting season. It'll be interesting to see how the votes break.

Sydney said...

Joe, I beg to differ, I thought it was women over 40. I call them smart, just for the sex they are enjoying, if not the conversation, lol.

And what do we call men in their 50's and 60's dating 20 year olds?

Joe in NY said...

Haeley and Janelle for the girls. Then I turned.

Sydney said...

Oh Don't go there with the put my name down Coach. No one should ever say that during this game.

Joe in NY said...

Sydney,

Either way, Jeri is 40 so she qualifies.

Sydney said...

I thought she was about 36. If she's 40, I stand corrected. Not that Pavardi's a bitch but that she called Jeri a cougar incorrectly.

Joe in NY said...

wow, who voted for Rob.

Sydney said...

a vote for rob????

Becky said...

Okay, here it comes. Looks like Randy is gone.

Sydney said...

shoulda gotten Pavardi out suckas

Joe in NY said...

He actually looked surprised. He knew it was he or Parvati.

monty924 said...

See ya, Randy! Did Randy vote for Rob? I thought he was after Parvati. Hmmm

Joe in NY said...

I just googled her, Jeri's 39 and a half! LOL. She might be pissed because I heard Probst call her "40" when he was talking about her...

Jackie S. said...

I bet Russell voted for Rob. We'll see in a moment!

Joe in NY said...

That's what I mean about Parvati and Russell being charming. They annoy a lot of people but then those same people can't bring themselves to vote for them.

How come no HII this year? I think it would be funny if Russell's been running around looking for one and there isn't one.

Becky said...

Sydney said...And what do we call men in their 50's and 60's dating 20 year olds?

Very wealthy!

Sydney said...

Darn, it's Over. I could watch this show for hours.

monty924 said...

Yep, it was Randy. Well, goodnight folks. I have a long drive home. See you all on Sunday.

Sydney said...

monty, where are you watching if not at home?

Joe in NY said...

Sydney,

I agree. It is always more fun with people you "know" because you feel you have a relationship with them. If it was a new cast, we'd still be trying to get a feel for them.

I kind of want Russell to win because I think he got robbed last season.

Becky said...

I think Monty meant it was a long way from Jackie's to her house.... at least that is what I think she meant.

Joe in NY said...

Stay warm East Coasters! (I'm not looking forward to morning)

lynn1 said...

I enjoyed the show tonight. I still enjoy watching the Villians more than the Heroes.
I am not enjoying James or Rupert at all this season.
Russell is up to his old tricks with hiding the Machete. I feel like he is probably under estimating his team mates.
I can't put my finger on it but I don't like Parvarti. I didn't like her in her winning season.
I don't see what is so capitvating about her but then I am old enough to have a 35-40 year old cougar for a daughter! LOL Maybe it is just that I am too old to appreciate her charming ways.

meb said...

I was surprised that Randy got all the votes except his for Rob. I really thought Jeri would at least have voted for Parvati since she hates her so much.

James is really different this year... he even looks different. His head looks smaller???

Sydney loved your comment about his wife not thinking Parvati's head on Russell's chest was part of the game play.

Coach is at least more subdued this time.

And very little from Tyson, except for kissing JT.

Terry is a Texan! said...

so thankful Randy went home!

Brent McKee said...

Randy was on his way out fromt he time that he decided that there was no possible way that Rob could make fire. The guy is dumber than the proverbial sack full of hammers.

RJM in SC said...

Wow Jacky,
you are hitting the BIG time now.
I sometimes check out the aol updates at lunch and imagine my surprise when there was an article by our very own Jacky and her take on survivor as one of the headlines. I jumped up and said "I know her! " (not really, but I was thinking it lol). Way to go. My wish is you get more and more exposure like that.

Sydney said...

Hey Brent -- good to hear from you. I wonder if you would ever want to live blog with us? Why do I think you have in season's passed... did you ever?

Sydney, if I had a laptop I'd love to live blog but unfortunately I have a desktop in another room from the TV. I have on occasion commented live, but it usually involved running (literally) to the computer to type a short comment during the commercials. I'm slowing down and sometimes not finishing before the commercials.

RBennie said...

I think Randy was the right choice to vote out. He was less than useless. I think Russell is going to get spanked by Rob and I can't wait to see it. I really don't see how debilitating his tribe by hiding the machete is going to further him in the game. These are not the mental morons he was playing with last season. I'm not mad at James. He could have really put a hurting on Randy, but just pushed him right off. I think throwing down the pillow thingy was more an adrenalin high than anything. The Heroes really handed the villains their asses in that challenge, LOL.

joy n said...

Wow, those heroes kicked butt last night. I had to laugh at Coach's war whoop when he thought he'd scored. I let out a big YUK when I saw Russell and Parvati all cozy-cozy. Parvati is going all out this time around. I felt like I needed a shower after watching them. What was that kiss from Tyson to J.T.?

My pool girl Sandra is playing the same game she's played before. Wonder if it will work again.

For a second, I thought Candice has lost some teeth after the challenge.

Did anyone see Russell take Rob's hat? If he did or does on another show, I hope Rob buries Russell for at least a couple of hours. LOL!

Colby really got into the comp this time. He looked fierce, didn't he? So did Rupert when he faced off with Coach.

And James. What is up with him? That guy's going to blow a gasket or something if he doesn't rein in that rage he' sporting every other minute this season.

Joe, Russell charming? Maybe if you're talking toilet paper.

:) I post from different locations, and usually from my mother's house on Thursdays. I've turned her into a Survivor fan at the age of 83. :) I usually watch with her and one of my younger brothers.

ML said...

Lynn1, I'm with You on Parvati. I don't see what's so great about her, but then again that's all there is out there? And Meb, I think they just totally edited it to make it look like there was some movement to get Parvati out when there really wasn't. It was 100% Randy the whole time or he would have voted for Parvati, too, in case it was close. They are not thinking straight. Don't they realize she has won before doing exactly the same thing to the others of her season as she is doing with them now?

I'm glad Randy is gone. Rbennie you're right, he was not only less than useless, but a mean one, too. Parvati still needs to go if any of them want a chance. Remember, the heroes she already knows (Amanda, Cirie, James) will gladly take her in for numbers when they merge.

Hey guys!

I'm still here, a bit worn around the edges but still here. ;)

Even though I had Randy in the pool I wasn't the least bit sad to see him go. He's such a sour puss. He may not be that way in RL but he sure is on Survivor.

Boston Rob is realizing that he's 6years older this season and can't do what he used to do. Although I was worried about him as I've always been one of his fans.

I'm not liking James this season. What happen to his modest gentle personality? Did his previous season go to his head?

I'd like to see Jerri and Parvati go at it...clash of the alpha females. ;)

I can't stand Sandra and was not happy the season (?) she won Survivor.

Rupert seems a little slower this season but I'm still a fan. Guess we're all getting older, aren't we?

Tom is using his head this season as usual. I like a guy who keeps his cool and can think things through.

All in all, it's going to be a fun season to watch.

Well, it thundered so loud today that I almost fell off my chair. My prayers and thoughts go out to all those affected by Mother Nature's wrath. We sure have had a harsh winter this year on both coasts and in between.

I don't like to come here to whine but thought I should give you an update so you understand why I'm always MIA. My stepson has had a few crises but we're still hopeful that he will make it through. It's been very scary at times and we're trying to spend as much time with him and his family as possible.

My husband is going to have a third back surgery on March 8. I'm very concerned as it is a serious fusion surgery. Please keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers.

Well, I guess that's enough OT stuff.

Jackie...

I know your wicked winter weather has been hard on your knee. Hopefully you will see signs of Spring soon.

Hope all is well with everyone here.

Miss you all!
Stay safe!

Zoetawny, I am very glad you stopped by to fill us in...you know we miss you and watch for your name in comments (and on the graphic screens). Bless you and your family and know that not a word you said sounded whiney !

Zoetawny,

So glad you updated us. I've been wondering about your stepson. Prayers are continuing for him & your whole family. Take care of yourself & check in when you can.

(((Hugs)))

Laurie said...

ZT, we are holding you and your family in prayer. When you feel that extra support on Monday March 8, you will know it's your friends supporting you as you support your husband. You are one of us, dear friend, you are one of us!

PDX Granny said...

Zoetawny, thanks for the update on your stepson and husband. Prayers going up for not only the two of them, but also for you. It's got to be tough being the support they're depending on.

Showing what a caring person you are, your thoughts and prayers are going out for others. I'm watching the news right now about the "Endless Winter" on the East coast.

Now, on to Survivor ~ I'm so happy to see Randy go. I couldn't stand him on his first season, and don't find him any more endearing this time around. Good ridance!!

James is so dissapointing to me this time around. I remember him being soft spoken and having integrity before. I wonder what's happened to change him. It's like there's this inner rage that he just can't control.

Ewww Russell & Parviti cuddling? I need not say more!

I'm liking Boston Rob this year and was so happy he wasn't down and out after last weeks fainting episode. I can hardly wait to see him and Russell face off.

A question that was brought up someplace else was why was Courtney allowed to sit out during back to back challenges? The only thing I heard Jeff say during the set up was that 2 had to sit out, and it had to be two girls. Does anyone have any insite into this???

Donna in Alabama said...

Zoe, prayers for your whole family are going up.

PDX, Jeff's blog said they can't sit out in the same episode's challenges. I think he just made that up after the fact!

joy n said...

Zoetawny, I think of you often and miss your comments. My prayers are with you and your family too.

Sometimes it's tough having to be the strong one when you have so many worries on your mind and so many details to ponder. Just keep in mind that you have concerned friends here that are keeping you and yours in their prayers and wishing good thoughts your way. They were here for me and for others here when they needed support and we will all be here for you now. Do keep us up-to-date. Godspeed.

Damn!! Just wrote a long post and it got lost!
Zoe--I am thinking of you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Feel all of our virtual support as your husband goes through surgery and your step-son struggles with his fight for life.

As for Survivor--I think James is on steroids or strength "supplements". He can't take them while filming the show and coming off of them can make a person meaner than a junkyard dog!
I don't like this James!!

The reason 2 girls had to sit out is because the Heroes are down 2 girls with Sugar and Stephanie being voted off. Courtney was able to sit out back-to-back challenges because it only has to be different people on the same episode.
Previews show everyone running around looking for the idol.....who will get one??

Zoe, I hope you are still coming back here to look for notes to you. It's been a busy weekend and I haven't signed on since you wrote this.

I echo what your other pals here have said. First that we will surround you and your husband and the surgeons and caregivers on March 8th and after. Just know that we're with you like that whole group of people on the Verizon commercial!

And I can only imagine how tough it's been on you to deal with both your step-son and your husband as well you juggle work, cooking, household stuff, and all the other roles you hold. I take some heart in your coming here still, knowing you can reach out to us... Makes me feel a little better because to me that means you know we've got your back.

There will be a day when things get easier. And until that day comes, find what joy you can in the smallest of things -- a bird hopping past, something funny your fur baby does, the outlet you find in doing those amazing graphics for us all, the first sip of coffee (or whatever it might be for you). Take it one day at a time, one hour or task or step at a time, and KNOW you're not going through all this alone.
