Rachel and Brendon said in the debate that this season it's the social game. They said the same thing in the vote. Both Lane and Hayden had good social games, but Rachel never trusted Lane while Brendon did.

Hayden should have this season. I loved Monet speaking truthfully. She's been out the house long enough to get over anything she thought of Rachel in the house, so I think she was real and honest in comments. Of course, Rachel still doesn't see it.

Anon - I don't hate Rachel. I'm sure nobody here can say they hate her. We don't hate people we don't know. We just love to talk about people who live in 'alternate reality world'. And p.s., I'm not jealous of Rachel. I have a great life, real boobs, natural long hair with no extensions and not a drop of hair dye. I'm very comfortable with who I am and how I look and feel no reason to enhance what God gave me.
I will have to read all the comments later, but my initial reaction is wow, Monet and Britney are biotches. Whether out of ignorance or whatever, Rachel was very good natured about all the nasty comments made about her tonight. Monet, on national tv, then still basically told her 'up yours'. And Britney's snarky comments about Rachel and Brendon, and then outright telling her choose Vegas over Brendon. She is nasty. I'm glad they cut away so quickly at the end.
Hayden deserved the win. I am surprised it was so close and that both Rachel and Brendon voted Lane. That had to be an emotional vote, but why? What did I miss during the season?

Congradulations to Michael Grimm I am so thrilled to see that he won AGT. I must have voted for him at least a hundred and fifty times, from every cell phone and computer in my house, I also was very glad to see that little Jackie was such a gracious loser, she has so many more opportunities, and I wish for only good things for her in her highly expected future, she is one of the most composed people I've ever seen. Michael Grimm was trully the best this year.

My own thought was that seeing the returning members made me very glad that Monet and Kristen were out early. I would have liked to have seen more of Annie, though.

My closing comments on BB12:
MOST OF THE WOMEN LOOKED BAD IN THIS EPISODE. Some wore too much makeup, some wore dresses that were of questionable taste. (I was immediately reminded of a style of purse from a few years ago that I saw everywhere. They were large, usually a bright color and covered in shiny round discs. Everytime I saw them I thought of certain women who used to carry them in 1970's TV cop shows like BARETTA and STARSKY AND HUTCH. I had the same reminiscence last night.)
Drawing additional attention to Kristen's ex-boyfriend situation made me feel like they should have just drawn a scarlet A on her chest. Quite Funny!
Monet/Brit had a chance to take a higher road. If not to apologize for the things they said, or just to say like others that maybe there were things they wished they hadn't said or said TO A TV CAMERA. Hate Rachel, but she didn't take her last TV appearance to look 'disgusting' by speaking ill of others.
To the Rachel haters, if she said she was staying in Vegas, ugly comments would pour out. She'll follow Brenden, the same comments. Nice.
ANDREW was funny. He, ALONE, made a point of bringing attention back to a very real disease. Talk about taking the high road!

RAGAN hates 'lies', but had no problem when it made him 20K.
RAGAN's comments that he was 'working on trying to forgive MATT' made me laugh until I cried. I actually had to rewind my DVR. What guy talks like that?!?!
LANE'S speeches and answers were all WEAK, and showed exactly how he approached the game. If not for the BG taking him to the end, where would he be? His play, Lane himself, just meh. And of course, there's always that '8 seconds'.
HAYDEN's win was foretold weeks ago. So it made the entire show anticlimactic. Frankly, I have almost zero feelings about him. I watched him the whole season, and I have the same connection as I would if I heard someone in the next town won the lottery. Actually, probably even less.
The Jury 'discussion':
RACHEL nailed it when she said the boys got lucky because the others were too busy fighting. The alliance could have been found out/broken but for that. Nice insight from a player lots of people dismiss outright.
RAGAN called Lane out on his lack of play! Nice!
KATHY epitomizes people who want players to be REAL and TRUTHFUL. It's as if she has never seen the game before. While she was at it, she should start a campaign for people to be completely honest in job interviews and on first dates.
Odds N Ends:
If I had to see Brit cry one more time due to her wasting her summer for 55K+, I would have started crying!
Brit got a huge boost towards being America's Favorite due to being the last female, then the sympathy vote for having her hopes crushed, and even with the fire, which I am cynical enough to believe led at least a few additional people to vote for her.
BRIT's pregnant comment was unnecessary, and just her once again trying to stir the pot.
Hate Rachel, but did she say anything nasty or hurtful last night?
ENZO was hilarious all night! In fact, he was the only truly positive person all night, in spite of losing!!! Even Julie wrote about how Enzo helped to make the season successful! Go Jersey! I hope we see him again somewhere!
One of the best parts for me was when they came back from the last commercial break, and BRIT's 25K announcement was cut!

As usual, Ben, you echoed my comments, and then added a whole lot more. Love it! Spot on, especially with regard to Brit and her completely uncalled for and déclassé remark about Rachel and Brendon doing it enough that she must be pregnant. I really never had anything against Britney, but she continues to show that her pageant preparedness is just a facade.

Ben, the only thing I disagree with in your last comments is that Rachel got that "insight" AFTER she was told about the alliance. If she hadn't been so busy with the "drama", she might have figured it out sooner and played a different game rather than make herself a target.
There may have been some "luck" going on with the alliance but most of that luck was Rachel and Brendon playing a crappy social game.

I, too, thought Rachel had a good point that they boys did get lucky because she and Brendon (and others, e.g., Ragan) were such high visibility targets. And you're right, because Rachel said it, people are quick to dismiss it.
It IS to the Brigade's (why do they mispell it??) credit that they themselves did actually keep the alliance a secret but IMO there's no denying they were helped by the luck of the draw of having the high drama people in the house.
I also agree mightily that Monet and Britney (and IMO Kristen) don't know how to take the high road even when it's handed to them.
Someone else mentioned the luck of the brigade during the jury discussion. Matt, I believe. Rachel was just repeating what she'd heard. If she'd had any real insight, she'd have shut her yap long before. She (and Brendon) played a terrible social game and the brigade took advantage of that. Not luck. Smarts.

Once Rachel found out, she saw where the boys got lucky. (Luck may be too strong a word, but it was certainly serendipitous!) But even in hindsight, she was the only one to see that 'Rachel's drama' blinded EVERY HG who wasn't part of the BG. By admitting to her own failed social game, she owned up to at least part of her eviction. The other HGs didn't.

Enjoyed reading your comments. Like you, I'm not a Rachel fan or hater. I even winced at a lot of what she said and did early in the game. But I can also see where Rachel was a blind spot for several of the players.

I didn't hate Rachel at all. It's just that her crowing and in-your-face attitude really bothered me. It was a horrible strategy and it took her forever to realize that. If she'd only listened more and cackled less, she'd have had a good game going because she was winning comps.
After realizing that the alliance existed and that she'd never really had any control over them, she now finally admits her "social" game needed some tweaking. Too little, too late, Rachel.
By the way Ben, I did agree with your other comments in your 1:15pm post.
Rachel just irritated me. If only she'd listened to Brendon early on.
