Survivor: Redemption Island -- Cast Quick Takes Part 1

The official CBS website for Survivor: Redemption Island is up and running. However, the show doesn't start for over a month, February 16th to be exact. Since we have time, I'm going to break down the cast posts by groups of five with my personal quick takes. Please let me know your impressions in comments!

Here are five women to start:

Name (Age): Natalie Tenerelli (19)
Tribe: Ometepe
Current Residence: Acton, Calif.
Occupation: Professional Dancer

Natalie -- I'm not overly impressed. Yes, she's pretty and knows it. Yawn. She's 19, the youngest woman to ever play the game. She IS the baby.

**************************************************

Name (Age): Andrea Boehlke (21)
Tribe Designation: Ometepe
Current Residence: Random Lake, Wis.
Occupation: Student (University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point)

Andrea -- Well, I like her better than Natalie so far (which isn't saying much). But I'm tiring of the "I'm pretty and they'll never suspect" card being played.

**********************************************

Name (Age): Francesca Hogi (36)
Tribe Designation: Ometepe
Current Residence: Washington, DC
Occupation: Attorney

Francesca -- Okay, out of the three women I've checked out so far, she seems like she might be the strongest contender. Not only that, but she won't have to worry about mussing up her hair.

****************************************

Name (Age): Ashley Underwood (25)
Tribe: Ometepe
Current Residence: Benton, Maine
Occupation: Nurse

Ashley -- Farmer, pageant girl, basketball player, hunter, nurse, coffee shop owner, blah-blah ... hmm. She should do well, but I think she won't. I like the juggling, though.

*********************************

Name (Age): Julie Wolfe (50)
Tribe: Zapatera
Current Residence: Oceanside, Calif.
Occupation: Firefighter

Julie -- Sob stories never work on me. Starting off her promo clip whining turned me off. On the other hand, she's a firefighter and I want a 50-year-old to do well surrounded by youngsters.

Do you all want to do a pool for this season?? If so let me know and I'll start collecting names.

I'd say go for it.

irostYes, Margo, do include me please.

Jeff says there will be two former survivors coming back and it won't be announced beforehand who they will be. PLEASE, Survivor gods, don't let Russell be one of them!

Russell (sorry) & Rob Mariano.

How is Andrea, age 21, a former Marine? If she joined at 18, then her enlistment was super short!

Maybe I am wrong about Andrea but saw that on Realitytvworld site!

Jackie, I feel like an idiot but I've never copied or pasted anything on this computer. Keep thinking I'll try it one of these days but I've had this pute 5 years now and........ Hopefully, Margo will take pity on me and throw me in the pool. Thanks tho.

I am SO non-techie! LOL.

I might have to root for Andrea, since I graduated from UW--Stevens Point, many years ago. But I'm hoping my fellow Pointer has some substance and doesn't just try to manipulate the guys with her good looks.

Just read that it is indeed Russell and Rob returning to Survivor. Love Rob. Can't stand Russell. But I seriously doubt that these two will last long in either tribe. (It's reported that one will be on each tribe.) The newbies won't want them to go far. However, I would guess that either would do well on Redemption Island. How long they would last there against others is anyone's guess. I'll be rooting for Rob, of course.

Sign me up for the pool. I'm a big Boston Rob fan and I can't stand Russell who, without his hidden immunity idol magnet powers is a very ordinary player who really doesn't get the subtleties of the game.

Maybe we need some sort of a "last longer" poll - Who will last longer Russell or Boston Rob?

So not happy that Rob and Russell are coming back...I've had enough of them. Rob's wife won the million and Russell is already a millionaire. Can we move on please!

I for one love Boston Rob
Love him or hate him Russell played some game the first go round.
He just can't win cause his social game stinks.
I agree with Probst who said he would align with Russell to go as far as he could in the game.
The man does keep his alliances, that is how natalie won.
and lastly final two please I don't like final 3
