Big Brother 13 Live Feeds - Twist Bulletin

Hmmm ... a long feeds block. They're back to duos?

Apparently Rachel and Jordan are on the block and plan on pulling themselves off as a duo. Rachel's calling it the biggest twist of the summer. Adam and Shelly are one duo, Kalia and Porsche the other. They say that BOTH of them (Rachel and Jordan) would come off the block if they win veto.

Very odd.

But at least they stopped crying.

There was a Pandora's Box. Porsche got $5,000.

UPDATE: Y'know, I don't think the nominations did go down during the feeds block. I think Rachel and Jordan are just assuming they will be nominated. I think the assumption is right. I'll let you know if things change.

A full report will be posted late tonight.

I guess if they are back to duos that only Rachel-Jordan & kalia-Porsche will be eliglbe to play for POV. If Shelly and Adam won POV they could not use it to save Rachel-Jordan because there would be no duo available to put on the block.

The more I think about this the more confused I get. I am starting to feel like Jordan.

They seem to think all six will play.

Thanks for the post about it, Jackie. Do you know what the bad part of Pandora's was?

I love my wv. It is unfur

Apparently opening it turned them back into duos.

I don't know. Sounds to me like it was thought up to keep veterans in the game. But I'm cynical like that.

Quick question: If they are duos, I assume they can only save themselves? I mean if Adam won POV and chose to remove the other duo, there'd be no nominees!

Joe in NY said...

This is an odd time to reintroduce duos. I mean there's only 6 people left. Let's say the nominees stay and one gets voted off? What happens? A gold key to the final 3?

Joe in NY said...

I'm kind of surprised they haven't shown more of the mean girl behavior on the regular show. It might really change the way people look at everyone.

Y'know, the rules for the duos could really change the way one looks at things. If there is a golden key involved, do you really want to give Jordan a free ride to the final 3 even if it gets Rachel out? Are you better off nominating Adam's duo (assuming he's not paired with Porsche) and try to backdoor Jordan/Rachel if he wins POV? I'm dying to know the rules. It really changes the calculation of how to play this week.

I normally don't like late twists, but this one intrigues me...LOL

Joe,
I wish they would too, but can't say I'm surprised they haven't. The mean girls have been on a constant attack with personal innuendos, laced with whore, bitch, and other equally non-Prime Time wording that would cause more bleeps than words.

I am just as confused. Back to duos? I agree with Jackie's theory that this is a twist created at the last minute to keep certain players in the game.
OK, I am not stupid: I know that ALOT of reality tv is scripted to some degree or other, but this show was one that I believed to be somewhat exempt from such/much production intervention and tweaking. What a disappointment to discover that this is as scripted as the Bachelor series.

please ohhh please let jordan get the coup d'etat!! or how awesome if they voted someone back in the house?? cbs is obviously scrambling because of dani and jeff being gone!! jeeez louise!

lynn1 said...

Is it possible that the duos are only for this POV and then it goes back to indiviual play?
It really seems that there is some manipulation by production. Maybe I caught paranoia from watching these goofballs all summer.

Joe in NY said...

Pandora's box is usually a short term thing, so it may only last through this eviction. But who cares, it does shake things up.

If this was a ploy by Production to keep Vets, it could have been messed up by Porsche choosing to not open Pandora's Box.

Porsche choosing to open it though was a pretty safe with the bet. Most think there's a financial reward attached, and there was this time ($5000).

If this really was a ploy and Porsche had resisted, would Production have to think up something else? lol

Jackie S. said...

Everybody ALWAYS opens the Pandora's Box.

They always open it because they think it might contain a super veto power or something similar.

"Everybody ALWAYS opens the Pandora's Box."

_____________

I couldn't think of anyone who had not, but thought it would be interesting if someone 'could' resist the temptation and how much that would screw up Production plans? lol

I missed a lot of the conversation because I was watching another feed, but went back and read the transcript on Jokers. Apparently the duos are for this nom only. Before this Porsche was going to nominate Adam and Rachel with Adam being the pawn. Porsche said there was no golden keys and only the POV winners will vote to evict. If Jordan and Rachel win, Shelly and Adam will go up and Shelly thinks they (J&R) are out for her blood.

I do believe that Jordan and Rachel's first thought would be to evict Shelly, but its only a guess until we see who actually wins the veto. Hmmm

Joe in NY said...

well they've neutered Porsche pretty well. Her noms are now all but irrelevant.

Most important comp of the season coming up: If Jordan or Rachel win, they are back in the driver's seat. If they lose, they are done.

NICE!

You could say Porsche sold her HOH Power for $5000.

I've always been suspicious of the DR sessions. It seems every year the DR seems to get more and more 'involved' with the houseguests. I won't go as far to say it's fixed but I do believe each season Production has become more and more involved, 'manipulating' - 'coaching' - 'suggesting'- 'steering' - etc., via the Diary Room.

And by the way I feel CBS has every right to try to 'help' their ratings. But if they want to call it a reality show then they should keep it real.

As far as Shelly goes it is a game and she is entitled to lie and backstab to further her game, just like everyone else, but for me the way she positioned herself with J&J she went way overboard on a personal level just to set them up for the fall. Overkill imho.

If she operates like that in the real world then I would say she then would be a prime example of what I believe to be wrong in the world today. GREED... not just greed but greed at any price.

Anybody but Shelly!

Shelly is one of those players who if she does make it to the end (remember how Natalies tactics were so hated they all voted for Jordan?) will not win because she just played too dirty.

Like Sally said in the comments on the previous post; it isn't that she lied, it isn't that she flipped against her alliance, it isn't that she tried to make a big game move and failed ( Dani left despite Shelly efforts), it is that wormed her way deep into Jordan's kind heart and then cut it out. All the while reviling Rachel for telling lies (that were in fact truths). Shelly reamed Rachel for no good purpose, she crushed Jordan for no good purpose. But no doubt she will always believe in her head that she did it in some sort of noble quest for her family as if without winning BB her darling child would have to go without food and clothing.

Shelly reminds me of one of those politicians that espouse marriage and family values and then later you find out they are doing things behind their wife's back with hookers that would make Hugh Hefner blush.

Rachel/Jordan go team, let's get that POV ladies and vote out Shelly and do that weird creepy double kiss too much lip gloss blowy thing she does in the DR as she walks out the door!

Isn't that the concept of the term big brother? It's been years since I've read 1984, but didn't big brother spy on and manipulate everyone.

I've come to accept the fact that this show belongs to Allison G. and she is the big brother pulling the strings.

Since they finally showed some of Porsche's DR sessions in the last week or so, they all seem like she is reading a script. I have noticed a couple other DR's have sounded like they were reading something or tried memorizing lines. A few DRs just seem coatchd, pre-written or fake. . . JMO

An addendum to my 10:10 post. I went back and watched the conversation on flashback. I didn't hear any of them say that veto winners would have the only vote. The veto winners would have two votes, and there are only three this week. Same difference, but say Jordan and Rachel take themselves off then they have two votes and Kalia would be the only other vote.

Sorry, didn't mean to mislead anyone. Just going on what I had read at the time.
