Big Brother 13 PoV Show Blog Party 8/31

Photobucket

The show is about to start here on the east coast. As it airs, I'll update this post with major events. However, the real fun is in the comments. I hope to see you there!

Just a warning -- here in the NYC area, tomorrow's live eviction show won't be airing until 1:38 AM due to a Jets game. I'll be putting up the regular show post at 9 PM ET and watching an East Coast feed online. But, since it's hard to watch the show on the computer and update the post on same said computer at the same time, I ask that commenters fill in updates tomorrow!

Nominations time! With the duos in effect due to Pandora's box, Porsche put Rachel and Jordan on the block.

Veto comps -- Dummies of the departed hamsters. "Duos Do-Over" - They jump on the back of their original dummy, last one standing wins. As usual, Adam is the first one off before five minutes pass. Jordan out at 8 and a half minutes. Shelly out at 12 minutes. Porsche out at 18 and a half minutes. Kalia out at 32 minutes. Rachel wins!

Shocker! Rachel saved herself and Jordan! Adam and Shelly are on the block.

Kerplunk..oops, I just fell in the pool, but that's ok... all is well!

monty924 said...

Jumping in.... ~SPLASH~

Jackie, we will update tomorrow for you.... good seeing you here tonight. :)

monty924 said...

Hey Meb... GREAT news! The pool is fine!

Joe in NY said...

@Sissy From the other thread. I think the vets do better if ED stays in the house because Dani would not have jumped.

Petals said...

~*~splash~*~ swimming to boat.

yay meb! Glad he is A-OK!
hey monty!

Joe in NY said...

Hi Folks.

Wednesday not my favorite BB night but I stopped by to see you folks.

Petals said...

Hey Baby *mwah*

Joe in NY said...

CONGRATULATIONS MEB That's awesome news.

Joe in NY said...

{{{Petals}}} How's the whiplash?

Joe in NY said...

LMAO Was it really necessary to show Rachel honking her nose like that?

Petals said...

Still very sore. But the seatbelt did a number on my abdomen & ribs. Feels like a c-section.

monty924 said...

Hey Petals! Glad to see the Miss Chevious arrive. I'm climbing aboard. Where is Becky with that grill?

Petals said...

"Miss Chevious" pulling up anchor, readying to push off

Petals said...

Glad to see the fridge stocked! :)

And...I finally dislike someone more than Rachel: Shelley.
When she dies, someone could use her skin to make a pair of boots!

Anonymous said...

Well I can already tell that this is going to be a boring episode..

Thats what you get for spoiling the surprise with live feeds and such.

~~~
meb said...
Petals, I missed something. I knew you were in the ER, but I never heard why. Car accident from what it appears from the comments here. Are you OK? Get better soon!
Thanks everybody!
Petals said...
Jordan look so pretty...
monty924 said...
I like the two of them together. Jordan mellows out Rachel and Rachel makes Jordan play with strategy.
GO Radon!!!
Petals said...
meb - yeah. An 87yr old woman hit me from behind. I am ok, very sore. She had numerous broken bones.
Petals said...
Radon! lol Good one, Monty!
Anonymous said...
So annoying.
Why do they play for "redemption" and revenge that obviously gets you nowhere but out the door the next week
UGH
~~~

Petals said...

Anon, yeah - but we junkies dont mind the boredom, we have one another to keep it interesting. *wink*

Becky said...

Hey, everyone! Joe, this isn't my favorite night of BB either. I watch because of the party at Jackie's.

Meb, good news about the ggrandson. Petals, now are you feeling?

Love seeing Shelly whine about how bad things have turned. I bet Kalia doesn't complain as much since she gets the other 5 thou.

Joe in NY said...

I have never seen a more vacant look than the one on Jordan's face as Rachel was explaining how the duos helped them

Petals said...

Wow - I just noticed that there isnt a single pair of natural of breasts in the house. hehe

monty924 said...

Yay, Becky and the grill are here. I have ribs and potato salad. Dig in!

Petals said...

Hey Becky!!! I am better, just sore. mending.

Petals said...

mmm ribs. I have a Shoo-fly pie!

monty924 said...

Grrrowl... I love Jacob! Sorry, just saw my favorite indian/werewolf on a commercial.

Jackie S. said...

Yes, MEB! Fantastic news!

Anonymous said...

Shelly has fakes?

monty924 said...

Just editing Joe. ;) She's actually been very intuitive this week. Wish you had the feeds and could see it for yourself.

meb said...

Joe, I thought the same thing. She obviously was barely listening... probably her thoughts left with Jeff. : ) I think she gets it now though!

SueGee said...

Great news Meb!!

Jumping in ~~SPLASH~~ and swimming over to the float

SueGee on the Left Coast

Petals said...

monty - mmmm. I love me some Taylor Lautner, too!

monty924 said...

Apology time.....

Sydney said...

Rachel is so much more tolerable when she's talking off camera (not in the DR) like she just did to Jordan. She almost sounded normal.

And that whole I'm kinda ditzy thing that they edit Jordan to be... well, we haven't seen that Jordan for a moment since Jeff's been gone.

I never thought I would say this but I was impressed by Rachel when she pulled Jordan rapidly away from the conflict when Jordan was using it... and said to her, "Jordan, you're not being yourself" or something to that effect.

Sadly, if Rachel displayed herself to be a normal person with integrity, she would not be the star of the show, and asked back again and again, so... there.

Petals said...

hey Sue!

Anon - I dont know for a FACT that Shelly has implants. But every single other part of her is so male, but she has these awesome ta-tas, I assume they must be purchased. I admit it, I am just being catty cuz I *blech* Shelly.

Sydney said...

MEB!!! I am so glad to hear that the baby came home!!!

Petals said...

Hi Syd! I agree with you - Rachel is a character, if she were "normal", she'd be less interesting to watch.

Anonymous said...

Well of course the DR brought up Shelly's husband and daughter to have footage that indirectly addresses the jerks on the net bashing her.

That seems like a good thing they've done. I feel so bad that Shelly's biggest fear is that her family would be affected by her being in the house and she doesn't know about the threats.
~~~
Petals said...
Okay, off topic: Did anyone know that Ozzy (survivor) did a soft-core porno? for the Playboy channel when he was 24 (2yrs prior to his first survivor)? Called "Foursome". I watched it. two words: "WOW" and "ick".
Becky said...
Shelly whinnying about Jordan ignoring her. I guess she never heard that you reap what you sow. Does she think Jordan should just roll over and take Shelly back with no hard feelings?
Hey, Monty & Petals, since Jordan & Rachel are not crying, then every time Shelly whines or plays the poor pitiful victim, we drink.
Jackie S. said...
I don't believe either Shelly or Kalia have implants. I doubt Adam does, either.
monty924 said...
I've actually loved watching Jordan and Rachel's back and forth this week. They actually listen to each other and don't interrupt the other when they are giving their take on everything. Much different than Brendon and Rachel, and yes even Jeff and Jordan.
They make way better partners in crime than either one of them made with their MAN! JMO :)
Jackie S. said...
Petals - That news was out during his season. I'm shocked you of all people didn't know!
Petals said...
Thanks Becky! yay - we needed a new drinking game, thanks! :)
Joe in NY said...
@Sydney et al
I don't think Rachel is playing to the cameras per se so much as just playing. I think that's what Ragan was saying when he said how well they got along outside the house.
As I think I mentioned before, my Mom had a good friend for almost 50 years. They tried to have a Canasta club one time and they didn't talk for months. My Mom's friend was both a horrible winner and a horrible loser. LOL. I think Rachel is the same way. When she's "playing the game" she can't help but sulk when she loses and rub it in the faces of the opposition when she wins.
When she and Jordan had kind of given up and the game was over, Rachel acted like Rachel when there are no stakes. I think that's what Brendon was saying to her also when he told her something to the effect that the house brought out the worst in them.
Petals said...
Jackie - are you able to get to & from PT now? Feeling any better? I know you have cow juice...
JimmyB said...
Nothing gets between Shelly & her family! ...Puff...puff...puff.
monty924 said...
Good deal, Becky! I'm sure we will see some things tonight to drink to, LOL
monty924 said...
Those are some ugly dummies!
Anonymous said...
Well there's nothing softcore about that
Petals said...
I know, Jackie, right? I guess maybe I am too into my tennis. hehe.
Joe in NY said...
monty, totally agree about J/R being a better pair than Jorffdan or Brenchel. Jeff is condescending to Jordan and Brendon is always managing Rachel. When it's just the girls they treat each other as equals and are very respectful to each other.
Maybe they need to marry each other. :)
Joe in NY said...
See why I think Adam should stay this week. He's off before any of the ladies have even had a tremor.
Petals said...
Anon - I think that "soft" porn means no full frontal male nudity, or maybe it means no actual privates-contact shots? I dunno, really. My only porn is The Tennis Channel.
Petals said...
Jimmy - lol
Joe in NY said...
ok, that gas passing bit was just unnecessary and stupid
monty924 said...
OMG!!!
Anonymous said...
I think Rachel is definitely playing for the cameras. Most reality show villains play into the part, especially when they return. Remember Omorosa. There was also that one time where she started smiling, looked at the camera briefly and put on a sad face.
Wow Rachel is really in shape.
Adam...lol
Kalia... LOL
~~~

Witt said...

meb, that is so awesome! YAAAAAAAAAAY! Let's celebrate!

Witt :)

Becky said...

The comments about Kalia farting are funny! Then Kalia says she doesn't fart? Say what?

Petals said...

Eek. Shelly has tanned to a color that is beyond the Crayola box.

Joe in NY said...

soft core usually means only simulated sex

Petals said...

Hey Shelly - George Hamilton called, he wants his skin back.

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure of the technical lingo for porn either. I always thought softcore meant no nudity. Oh well.

Joe in NY said...

We were talking about the Zack/ED Final 3 endurance challenge. They went for hours being sprayed with water in cold night air and these guys lasted like 15 minutes mid afternoon. And Dick was a 50 year old heavy smoker! LOL

Becky said...

She did it again.

Joe in NY said...

In that photo with the POV around her neck, Rachel looks like a 1980s vintage East German swimmer.

Petals said...

Never thought I'd see the day that I'd say "Way to go, Rachel". or should I say "Radon"?

Joe in NY said...

Those guys just can't do anything but bad mouth Rachel no matter what she does.

Anonymous said...

Evil Dick said on his show that Shelly looked darker than Kalia. And that if Kalia got evicted CBS would still be okay with having one black person in the house...haha

~~

monty924 said...

Yeah, me too. GO RADON!!

Petals said...

BTW - According to a coupla other BB sites, Shelly does have implants.

Joe in NY said...

That comp really doesn't bode well for the level of competition we'll see for the rest of this season. You'd think at least Shelly and Adam would feel they need it.

Petals said...

@~~, really?? LOL

Anonymous said...

BTW does anyone else watch the Dick at Night show...I just started watching it. Tonight's BB episode looks so boring, I'm not sure if I'll watch it today. Depends on who's on.

~~~
monty924 said...
Shelly's kind of tan will just turn into leather... I'll keep my white skin - thank you. ;)
Petals said...
Maybe it is just my TV, but they ALL look too tanned now.
Petals said...
Monty - you & I can skin her and make boots!
Becky said...
Thanks for the definition of soft porn, Joe. I know nothing about it. I have only seen part of one porn movie -- and that was around 35 years ago. I didn't enjoy it.
Petals said...
Rachel really is normal without Brendan around. He brings out the worst in her, IMO
Petals said...
I guess General Mills is a sponsor? We've never seen actual product labels before, have we?
monty924 said...
Not sure I'd like the Shelly boots, LOL
monty924 said...
I'm drinking!!
Petals said...
drink!
Sally said...
meb, Wonderful news about your great-grandson! That has to be a huge relief for the whole family. Now you can all get on with the important work of spoiling that little guy.
Big Brother will be preempted tomorrow night for me too, because of the Packer game. And the local CBS affiliate is pulling their annual stunt of not broadcasting the Thursday prime-time shows until early Saturday morning, so they can rebroadcast the Packer game early Friday morning. (I'm a Packer fan, but I don't need to see a game twice withing 8 hours, especially when it's preseason!)
Joe in NY said...
Becky, LOL. I've never seen a hard-core porn. But cinemax used to show soft-core late night back in the day
Anonymous said...
Rachel has not been nearly as bad and catty this season as last. I think she really gets that way when there a lot of women and competition around (like putting an antisocial cat in a cage of more cats).
Most reality villians are that way because of their insecurities. For instance, I think Jessie is the exact opposite of the way he carries himself. I think he thinks low of himself and uses the fitness and attitude as a defense mechanism. Rachel uses her cattiness because she's just really defensive about her self-worth and the men who affirm her.
~~~

Anonymous said...

"I've never seen a hard-core porn."

She never said you did. HMMmmmm...Why so defensive Joe? Hmmm?

Just kidding.
~~~
Becky said...
Shelly can cry at the drop of a hat.
Don't fall for her bull, Jordan! I like Jordan's feelings. Betray what you put out there as friendship and I will forgive you, but I won't forget.
meb said...
Nice of Shelly, but I hope Jordon is true to her word... forgive but don't forget!
monty924 said...
I here you Anon, but there are more women in the house this season and she is actually a lot more mellow. I thought that was what she was doing last season too, but this season kind of shoots that theory out of the water.
Anonymous said...
Meb, so glad your grandson is home and well.
So, really the twist was the sole cause of Porsche opening Pandora's box.
Well, watching past seasons certainly didn't make any of them smarter. It can all be blamed Porsche being greedy. Oh well.
Hate saying this and never thought I would say it, but Rachel really put herself out for this. The game really was not geared for the veterans. If Porsche had not opened pandora's box, it would have played out differently.
I am tired of Shelly's whining. It's just as bad as Rachel's. However, with Jordan saying Shelly stabbed her in the back is ridiculous. They are playing a game and there is no way in **ll Jordan and Jeff would have allowed Adam or Shelly get close to the winner's circle.
I think Shelly should go. Adam will never win an endurance competition. But, after watching Shelly, she probably wouldn't either.
Penny
meb said...
Becky... let's drink to our similar comments. : )
Donna in Alabama said...
Shelly is good at her job because she makes it personal, makes you believe what she puts out there and convinces you she is telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth..... yet she will stab you in the back!!
monty924 said...
Meb, as of earlier this evening, Jordan does not trust Shelly and she has told Rachel she will NOT vote out Adam. We will see ;)
monty924 said...
Loved Rachel pulling down the shades! LMAO
Anonymous said...
Well Monty. The women this season aren't threats to here especially with Brendon gone. Shelly's married, Porshe's her friend and Kalia is not that cute (to her).
But at the beginning of the game Rachel was typical Rachel. Especially with Cassi and Dani around.
~~~

Sally said...

Rachel is so much more likeable since Brendon got evicted the second time. I don't know exactly why--J&J's intervention, perhaps--but something flipped a switch.

I don't believe a word that Shelly is saying, even when she brings her husband, daughter and God into the promise.

monty924 said...

NIce dress!

Becky said...

Joe, I wasn't accusing you. I am (believe it or not) a rather naive person. My kids always tease (in a loving way) about how little I know I know about real life.

Shelly would be a good snake oil salesman.

Anonymous said...

No one has to worry about Adam making it to F2 he will NOT make it past the first F3 round. If people are thinking about taking him to F2 for the win, they really need to consider who that third person is.

~~~
Petals said...
OK, I am the freak, cuz I have seen tons of porn. I own porn. It isnt an obsession or anything, just...a thing. I love erotica too.
Anonymous said...
Well tomorrow should be a worthwhile episode! Hoh comp and Jury house fights. It's really between Jordan and Porshe in the HOH comp. This can decide whether or not a vet really has a chance.
~~~

monty924 said...

Yay, heat at the jury house! I can't wait... weeeeeee

Ed in Ohio said...

WOW! Nice dress Rachel!

Pulling down her shades with Shelly. I caught that too.

Ed

meb said...

monty..are you talking about the feeds tonight... I so hope that's what you meant and that Jordon sticks to her guns.

monty924 said...

Diving off the Miss Chevious and heading for the shore. See you all tomorrow night. Bring on the Jury House! :)

Becky said...

Meb, lifting my glass! Anon, it was not Shelly flipping, it was the way she did it and the type of friendship she led Jordan to believe they had.

monty924 said...

Hey Meb, just caught your comment before logging off. Yes, Jordan has been a steal rod when it comes to keeping Shelly in the house. She isn't giving. She listens to Rachel and weighs all the arguments, but she always steers Rachel back to the fact that they can't trust her. Jordan pointed out two lies in Shelly's plea to them this morning. Jordan is no dummy, despite what show fans think of her.

Becky said...

Night all. Leaving the grill on the boat. See you tomorrow night.

meb said...

Thanks for the info Monty... Great news.

And thanks everyone for the well wishes. We are doing the happy dance.

Eric said...

The thing that irks me about Shelley isn't so much that she's a floater and lies often in the name of the game.
It's the whole "holier than thou" spiel she orig. talked about with integrity in respect to "teaching' her daughter.

Maybe if she never said all that bunk I'd view her differently than a busted up (reformed?)crackhead.

Eric said...

can't believe I could ever think/say this but...
Rachel for the win!
Yep, personality faults aside the chick played hard from day one always giving it her all.
She deserves to win imo.

I wouldn't mind if Jordon won *but8 she already won a season as we all know.

Sissy said...

I was thinking, since it looks like these reality shows are bringing back veterans (ie: Rob and Russell on Survivor,BB this year with the 6 of them, Ozzy and Coach on Survivor coming up)and one Survivor couple and 2 BB couples went on Amazing Race, I would like to see Rob on BB and Brendon and Rachael on Survivor just to see how well they do. Now I didn't say Jeff and Jordan because although Jeff might do wee, I don't think Jordan would last a week. ED and Dani may do well on Survivor too.

Eric said...

@ Sissy - Or perhaps on the Amazing Race.
But in all honesty the veterans angle is getting old.

Out of the millions of attention whores amongst all the candidates surely they could get some new blood eh.

Sydney said...

Interesting comments on Rachel Joe, just read them now. thx

Anonymous said...

Kalia passing gas during the comp was discussed last night during BBAD. Kalia was saying the sound came from the ropes rubbing on the dummy... or something like that.

Ok.... whatever

Sharon

Anonymous said...

Wasn't home for the show but stopped in to read comments. I just have to say that the porn discussion is so much better than anything going on in the BB house right now! And Petals... You go girl! I wanna party with you, ya freak!! :-)

I think Rachel has played well, too. Now that Brendan has left, I like her. Who would have thought?

I cringed the entire time shelly was talking to jordan. I just wanted to scream at her to STFU and GTH!! Go away shelly! Take your manly strut out the door!!! And leave God out of it when your back is against the wall. What a freak liar!!! Everything she says are lies!!! Promise promise, GTH you old hack.

FA (formerly anon) said...

@ Anon 11:57

Me too, I was flipping off my TV every time Shelly was on, especially when she said the EXACT same thing to R&J that she had told J&J ("I swear I only want to get you guys to F2!")

She's just appalling and disgusting, I can barely stand to look at her when she's on, so I hope she goes this week.

Anonymous said...

Tuned into BBAD and watched a Shelly/Porsche conversation about the things she (Shelly) has done in the game.

Shelly says she doesn't regret making the 'big move' because it was necessary for her game, but she sincerely regrets hurting Jordan and Jeff so badly.

Shelly seems sincerely sorry for hurting Jordan so deeply. They've had a few talks and agree they can be friends after the game is over, but conversations 'feel' tentative on Jordan's part.

However, Rachel and Jordan DO realize that Shelly is still 'playing' everyone because she wants to try and stay in the game, so they still don't trust her promises of being the faithful friend from now on (in the game).

I am glad they are back talking again, but my feeling is that they probably won't end up close friends. Then again, hurt feelings often can and do heal after the BB seasons end (Ragan is the perfect example), so you never know.

Joe in NY: regarding Evel Dick's final endurance comp vs. this past POV one…did Evel Dick's endurance comp have them resting their body weight on something like a ledge or step, or sitting on something (no matter how small)? Or was it all upper-body strength like this one?

(I'm asking, I really don't remember at all)

That's how Rachel won--like she said, she wrapped her legs around the dummy and used her leg muscles to take much of her body weight off her arms. No one else did and they didn't last long.

I'm not sure why they didn't see what Rachel was doing and adjust themselves that way before their arms gave out, but that's how the veto tumbles.

(I want them to bring back Lawon just to see if he understands yet that he got evicted. The look on his face was priceless.)

Anonymous said...

As I recall ED, Zack, and Dani had to hold onto their key above their heads while standing on a pedestal, in the endurance comp. They maybe were supposed to jump over something also, but someone hit it and it broke, so they just sprayed them with water like crazy all night. Pretty sure it went like 7 or 8 hours.

showtime said...

It makes your site it good reviews, I decided to buy some.
Sometimes I feel it too, making decisions difficult.
The Sun, but I really appreciate it a lot.

Joe in NY said...

Anon 4:18 I remember them hanging from a key on a pedestal. It wasn't exactly the same but I really don't know why it went so short yesterday. They all seemed to be using their legs and their arms, the only difference was the degree to which Rachel was using her powerful thighs. Honestly, since they could readjust and use all their body parts I would have thought that would last hours. In fact, it isn't that different from the first comp they had when ED, Dani and Rachel hung on for quite a while before striking a deal.

Regarding the alleged threats against Shelly’s family; here’s this update:

TMZ has learned ... the meeting took place in Louisiana this week -- but after the agents reviewed the information, sources tell us the feds determined that none of the threats were "credible."

ok so if you are a j/r fan you have to hope they win the hoh and the pov
if rachel wins hoh and puts up k/p
and adam wins pov and takes one of them down, she would have to put up jordan.
so all in all if adam is not really with them they need hoh and pov.
why does it seem like kahlia and porshe are studying like crazy and j/r not so much.

will it be the facial morph thing or the stepdown q/a thing?
i just want to see shelly out the door and the audience to boo, lol
mean i know but...

Caroline said...

I want a newbie to win , mostly because I have not liked the twist this year of having veterans and newbies mixed in. Besides, the Veterans came in with another advantage, established couples. The newbie couples did not even know each other and could turn on each other easily which happened in almost every case. The veterans never had to campaign against each other when it was couples.

I have not liked this season at all. I am looking forward to next year. I have hated the twists and cannot stand Rachel.

I am now a KP fan but I know production sure does not the Vets to leave the game and I bet they would love a Rachel or Jordan win, not me. I am one of the few who does not like Rachel and Jordan. Jordan is ok but Rachel, ugh.

I feel alone as I like Kalia and Porsche and that is not popular on most forums.

lynn1 said...

I have been giving some thought to the significance of the Fortune Teller machine. ( I know I need to get a life.)
Shelly got it to turn on and light up. Then Kalia joined Shelly and they couldn't get it to do anything else.
A few days later Adam tried to get it to do something and I don't believe it even turned on.
This reminded me of a campfire story I heard when I was a girl. The story goes that 2 young ladies went to a fortune teller. One of the girls was told that very soon she would meet the love of her life and live happily ever after. The other girl was given a piece of paper and was told not to open it until she got home.
After dropping her friend off the young woman headed home with anticipation of what her note would predict.
Unfortunately the young woman never made it home due to a car wreck which resulted in her death.
A few days later the paper the fortune teller had given her was found in her purse. It was blank.

Perhaps the Fortune teller on BB wll not predict anything for certain people because they have "no future" in the house for the rest of this season.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if Porsche, Kalia, Jordan or Rachel,individualy tried to get it to work.
I am probably way off base but what the heck. It is fun to do the what ifs scenarios.

RBennie said...

No one has mentioned that Kalia hung in there the longest against Rachel in the POV comp. Even though she doesn't look it, she's tough in endurance comps. Remember she and Dani were the last ones standing in the endurance comp that Dani won. Who knows how much longer it would have went on if Kalia hadn't given it to Dani. If she makes it to F3, she could very well win the endurance portion of the comp.

chris said...

newbies had the numbers right from the start, especially after ed left
they blew it for themselves.
that being said
kahlia winning would be fine since she has done just as much if not more than anyone else in the house.
so...
I have no problem with her winning, beats some other past winners of bb. (maggie for one.)
not a major rachel fan but was impressed with how she has treated jordan and like her more now.
so still rooting for rachel to make final 2
if she went to final 2 against adam she should win.
adam has really done nothing except flip flop in a nicer way than shelly lol

I am not a fan of Shelly but I find the comments regarding her physical traits disheartening. People did the same thing to Rachel last year.

Aside from Brendon's weird toe the men, regardless of what they look like, are not attacked about their looks. But evidently the women are fair game, I don't mean just here, but on the Evel Dick show and the internet in general, especially Twitter.

It is a sad double standard I wish we could move past.

There has never been a bigger 'floater' than Jordan!

Malik said...

@Caroline

I am with you!!!

I really don't like Jordan, because I have a feeling she is not as sweet as she seems. I wonder if Jeff and Jordan would have brought Shelly to final 2? If not WHY are they so mad that she wised up and voted Jeff out. Don't get me wrong, if she would just admit that she is a liar in the DR I think people may view her game play a little differently.

I also think it is messed up that people are so concerned with how she looks. I feel bad for her daughter.

Well here's the thing,these people signed on well aware to run the risk of being mocked,critiqued to varying degrees by the public by and large when they joined up.

You put a crack head looking / speaking person on national t.v. (male OR female)sorry you're bound to get negative comments.

I agree that "floater" is not the correct term for Jordan. I have never thought of her as a power player in the game, but she does choose a side and stick to it. I think she won her season not so much on her own merit, but because so many on the jury disliked Natalie. Even people who were in Natalie's alliance voted against her. I don't think she should win a second time, but if she makes it to F2, and I was on the jury, I would give her the money. If the people left in the game don't take her out before F2 then they don't deserve to win. IMHO of course.

As expected, the competition did seem slanted to favor Rachel. Pound for pound, she is probably the strongest person (physically) currently in the house.

Shelly's back problems sap her strength and endurance. Adam and Kalia are at a weight disadvantage. Porsche could make a game of it, but she ultimately lacks Rachel's physical strength.

Jordan, Rachel's ally, also seemed to have a shot at this, but she again showed that she is weak, even for her size, and has very little competitive drive.

When everyone else had had enough, Rachel was just getting started.

Lest we forget that Jordan had a big win(s) on her own aside from the jury vote. She might not have earned the right to be in the final 3 (as so many in the past); but once she was--she performed admirably. She did earn the final 2.

@ RBennie - Spot on observation, I agree with you.

A floater does just that,they "float" back and forth to different alliances.

Jordon never has done that.

Shelley,Adam and to a degree Porche are the definitive floaters of this season.

As for the Shelley family threats,(or any cast member) that's just plain sick!
It's a show,it's entertainment.
Who could possibly feel that strongly to threaten ones family over an eviction etc they didn't approve of.

Yet things that REALLY matter in this world these "types" fall silent.

Rachel ftw (as a person she's annoying as hell,as a player she's totally deserving)

I'd rather see Jordon win again then any of the newbies.
Not because I think she's so sweet etc (I'm indifferent).

I just think she plays a "clean" game.

As much as I disliked Rachel in the beginning, I am rooting for her to win or come in second. I was so happy with the way she took Jordan under her wing after Jeff left. Hoping for Rachel and Jordan in final 2.

Can't wait for tonight's show :D

Let's face folks the truth is it was Kalia who cast the deciding vote to oust Jeff, seems that some people have forgotten this, yes Shelley voted to evict him, but like it or not Kalia could have voted out Rachel instead. People need to get over it, it's nothing more than a game...

Don't know what happened to my last post??? hmm

Jordan is not a floater by any definition of the 'label'. She not only won two of the final 3 HoH's her season, she destroyed Natalie in round 2.

Anonymous said...

Sure, Jordan plays a "clean" game because it's no game! Without even consciously doing so, she hides behind her stronger allies, letting them win and strategize, and make targets of themselves.

She is not a floater. She is a coaster.

TMZ has learned ... the meeting took place in Louisiana this week -- but after the agents reviewed the information, sources tell us the feds determined that none of the threats were "credible."
Lack for a better word, HOAX- However won't report calls were within own family unit!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
For various reasons something just didn't add up- Thus we also looked into this--
We found it very interesting--
Local police had no knowledge of this case at all, its unusual FBI agents were called upon.

I also found it disturbing, with all the technology we have,

Would anyone actually leave " threats?? ".
Who has access to your cell phone number? Much less a land line.
Answer: Probably your own friends and Family!

Perhaps they should also report most calls appear within their own area! I simply did NOT believe Shelly's family was threaten over Jeff's eviction, in fact as I've written most calls appeared " Staged "

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

I disagree,
Why didn't veto comp bring out--the old excuse of;
" I'm doing it for my family "
" I need the money "

None of them appeared eager, nor motivated on winning this comp, IMO they all want to win this game; Doing nothing!
Esp knowing Rachel had an edge, you'd think they would've tried harder but none of them did!

@ EllerMedia - Thanks for the info. about the "threats" scenario.

I was kind of thinking "hmm, maybe this was staged to get Shelley some empathy".

Playing devil's advocate...
(And me being cynical again)

Who's to say Rachel's crying & whining jags about "how America hates me" didn't garner some sort of "calculated" move on the producers part.

Really simple, align her with America's sweetheart Jordon (their description,not mine)display a more gentle,caring side of Rachel and voila someone such as myself who couldn't stand her is now exclaiming "Rachel ftw!".

Ya never know, yeah it's "reality t.v..
Question is "who's reality" :P

@ "anon" you mean the way a user such as yourself hides behind the anonymous monicker. :D

Pretty certain you're a reg. poster here that doesn't have the nerve to post under their real screen name in fear of being disliked etc. lol

@Anon 1:09,
have you missed all the chatter about Adam's back hair???

monty924 said...

Since my previous post went floating out there in cyber world, I'll respond to Anon 5:20 in this way.

I talked about the label of 'floater'. It is a label/name that most people can't even agree upon. The earliest definition of floater that I remember was in All-Stars (could have been earlier, but it gained prominence in S7). In that season it was the Diane's, the Erica's, etc. Someone who not only did not win competitions, but floated between camps.

Rachel seemed to put a new spin on it with her definition of a floater. She believes it is someone who doesn't win competitions. Okay, we'll go with that one first. Jordan did win the golf HoH. The only two HGs who hit the ball after her were Jeff and Brendon. Why would either one of them try to take the win away from Jordan? They are in the same alliance.

Now the first definition... did Jordan float between alliances? The answer is no. Did she do so in S11? The answer is no. She won one HoH (laughing because it was Golf) in S11 and won two huge HoH competitions at the end. Compared to Kevin and Natalie who were at the end with her. Jordan's fault or making? The answer is NO. She played the game she was dealt and deserved to win over Natalie hands down. She won the right to pick who to go up against in final 2.

Coater? A coaster, in my opinion is someone who intentionally throws competitions and sits back not talking game and just relies on others to take the big dogs out. Porsche, Shelly (the biggest coaster) and Adam are coasters. Jordan was right in there talking game and strategy every minute with Jeff, Rachel, Brendon and early on with Dani.

My opinion... Jordan is neither a floater or a coaster.

If folks notice, I rarely comment on the actual physical appearance of the hamsters. I may comment on faces they tend to make, personal habits I find annoying ... but not on looks themselves. I find those kind of comments incredibly rude and juvenile ... especially when repeated over and over again. Not everyone is a beauty queen. And, while they signed up for ridicule on national television, their looks shouldn't be the focus.

Floater, coaster, whatever... I have to agree that Jordan is not a huge threat player. Yes, she talked strategy with her alliance but they've ALL talked strategy. What has Jordan done this season except hide behind J/R/B and make a few suggestions. Yes, she won an HOH but so have Kalia & Portia. I'm not slamming Jordan by any means but she won't go down in BB history as one of the best players ever.

And I'm signing my name. I'm not afraid if backlash from the Jordan camp!

Anonymous said...

You know, I saw Jordan's season, which she won, but I'd forgotten all about her.

That's a coaster.

This season, she cruises in to play. She's there to talk. But (as we saw in her blank stare at Rachel) the need to win never seems to occur to her, and others just do it for her. When Shelly moves to greener pastures, which is par for the course in this game, Jordan is appalled.

Other than her vote, she's useless to her allies. But the value and certainty of her vote buys her their protection—and her genuine incompetence keeps her below her enemies' radar.

And all the while, she's oblivious to all of this.

To me, that's a coaster.

Anonymous said...

Just get Shelly off the show. She might be the all time most annoying person on BB. I second what another poster said and that is: Play the song.."Walks like a man" when she is voted OFF!!

As everyone knows I've never been a J/J fan. But it isn't fair to minimize Jordan's game. She does win the occasional comp and she is loyal to her alliance. She is not a power player and never will be considered one of the great players in the game, even if she wins for a second time. But to suggest that she does nothing isn't fair. She plays a very solid social game. She's Parvati without the comp fierceness.

Ed in Ohio said...

Call Jordan what you will. Maybe she's just playin' dumb as her strategy or at times maybe she really doesn't have a clue.

But I wouldn't consider her a floater or a coaster. She's already won the grand prize once and is coming real close to doing it again. She's a player in her own right.

My WV is 'boater' as in can I be a boater this evening?

I dunno, if i were playing I think i wouldn't mind a person in my alliance who won HOH.

Eric - Unless you have some evidence of drug abuse (other than her cigarettes), that's still crossing the line. Fine, you don't like her. That's okay ... but the "man" comments and "crackhead" bits are almost enough to make me happy she's probably going home tonight just so I don't have to read shallow nastyisms.

No, it's not just you. However, your last comment is what garnered this one.

@Joe In NY, Hi, There's just something about her.
I'm not giving cheap shots just to pick on her.

Like I prev. said in another post she's "well weathered" all around and i don't think she's that old.

Drugs,booze, something heavy @ one time.
She seems "fried".

I condensed it all nice 'n' tidy.

K, NO more negative comments about Shelley resembling a _____!!!

How about how she sounds like a crackhead? :P
(and no this criticism is NOT from being a Jeff devotee or her conniving manner).

It simply stems from the fact that's what she sounds like!

@ Jackie, sorry I'll play nice.

I'm in the clear about the man comment though.
Never said anything like that.

Besides it's kind of mentioned on other forums anyway.

But Jackie doesn't like that here,so i won't :D

I’m a big fan of the Big Brother, unfortunately the time slot is terrible with my schedule so I’ve been using dishonline.com to keep up with it. It’s one of the many benefits of being an employee and subscriber of DISH Network. Although there is a great deal of content available to non subscribers too. Check it out at: http://bit.ly/dJzWgo
