The Amazing Race 19 Blog Party - 10/09/2011

The show is running about 36 minutes late here in the NYC area. If it's on time in your area, feel free to jump in on the comments! Once it starts here, I'll update this post with the major happenings. See you in comments!

They're heading to the Dutch colonized Indonesia. They have to join a bicycle guard. Oops! Ernie loses a pedal and all the other teams are passing them!

They're at the next Detour -- deliver meals to those working in fields and plant 300 rice seedlings or chores with sheep.

After climbing the steps of a temple, they run into a Roadblock examining Buddha statues. Whoa! Tommy gave Marcus and Amani (last team) the count and hand signals of the Buddha statues!

Team 1 - Laurence and Zac -- used more buckets with the sheep, have a penalty.

Team 1 - Tommy and Andy
2. Laurence and Zac
3. Jeremy and Sandy
4. Justin and Jennifer
5. Ernie and Cindy
6. Marcus and Amani
7. Bill and Cathi
8. Liz and Marie
9. Kaylani and Lisa - Philiminated

Not hard with the delay Joe!

Hey, Jackie. I am having to use DD's laptop and am cussing -- a lot. I will not be commenting much, if at all. I will be following the show on your blog. They only have one TV and I am letting DH watch the ball games and other 457 channels. I am not a sports fan and I know who won WWII, so I get the computer.

I better go change the CBS shows to record longer...thanks, Jackie. Suzanne

Hey guys. Hi babe!

I am not even watching this AR. I have it on, but it is muted. I'm here cuz I miss you guys between Wednesdays, LOL

Joe in NY said...

Hi Petals!

If you have it on, you might as well turn up the sound. LOL. Although that might just be me. I'm actually listening but not watching.

Uh-oh ... my pool team Marcus and Amani are in trouble. Gulp.

I don't know where everyone is this season

Just made it home. Hi all... I have some catching up to do, but I'm just going to watch it in real time for now.

That's a bummer. I missed what they did to get the penalty. I have some serious catching up to do... I'll wait 'til tomorrow.

Okay, I managed to lose my last post. I wrote that I can't find the refresh button on this @#^%$ computer! I have to close the blog and then reopen to read any updates. I also have to be careful when I type or I lose the post.

Monty, they used too many buckets on the water challenge.

This year's cast seems to be having a lot of trouble reading. LOL. Although I kind of thought that sign last week was a little unfair. I mean it was right there on the table, but it wasn't big type and they are racing. Easy to miss...obviously since 8/11 missed it.

Joe in NY said...

Becky...look at the right hand edge of the URL. Sometimes there's a little circular arrow there for refresh.

I think I may need a barf bag for Wednesday's Survivor.

Thanks Joe.

monty924 said...

Yay, my team figured it out!!

monty924 said...

But... my team likes to walk through the race. Ghaghhh

monty924 said...

Thank the TAR gods. Why do they walk and not run?

Jackie S. said...

Becky - Kind of how I felt on strange computers during vacation

Becky said...

Thanks, Joe. I still can't find it. I will ask my daughter when she checks in. I am g-o-n-e. See you Wed.

I just don't think my team is going anywhere this season. They don't have it in them to RUN the race. :(

Looking forward to next week in Thailand though, lol

See everyone later this week for Survivor!

Hi

Jackie, your comment page speaks
volumes about this group.

Do you think people have just lost
interest?

Anon -
Jackie has many lurkers, like me. And sometimes we record the show to watch at a more convenient time, and read here later. In case you hadn't noticed, this was a holiday weekend and people were possibly with family or friends, so the record/watch-later/lurk/read-later/distracted proportion was probably higher.

...which explains what you noticed, but does not explain why you felt you had to snipe about it...anonymously. Oh, wait. That does explain a lot.

Jackie, I know a lot of people tape and watch later.

I was busy logging off and on most of last night.

I thought Anon meant that people lost interest in Amazing Race. For 2 weeks now, I have noticed that Survivor has over 100 comments and AR about 25. Some of the regular commenters don;t seem to be active here.

I am on the Left Coast so it was much easier to jump in on BB live feeds.

Justene

I am the 1 that made the comment about people losing interest in the
show.

Thanks for seeing that/

I can only speak for myself. And every Sunday Mom & I have a family dinner with my sister and her family so we do not watch TAR on time. We usually start watching after the show has aired.

I was traveling over the holiday weekend and although I was able to watch TAR I was not able to post. I do enjoy reading the comments even if it is a few days after the show.
