The Amazing Race 20 Blog Party - 03/25/12

I'm pretty sure the show is delayed, but I have no clue by how much as I wasn't watching. I'll be getting this post up for an 8pm EDT start. Once it starts here, I'll update with major happenings. Everyone is welcome to hang out in the comments area where the real fun is!

Okay ... Facebook announced it will start at 8:18pm. That's not as bad as I feared.

The teams are heading from Bavaria to Azerbaijan (sp?) -- don't ask me! It's the "Land of Fire" and apparently is just north of Iran, a part of the old USSR. I guess.

Once there at a cool fire temple celebration of sorts, teams got a Fast Forward clue which entails stacking hay bales.

The teams not vying for the FF are facing the Roadblock -- escaping a crash simulation of a helicopter under water. Rachel and Dave got the FF and are on their way to the Pit Stop.

Rachel and Dave are indeed the first at the Pit Stop -- they each won a new 2013 Ford.

Detour -- Apples or Oil. They must search through tons of apples to find one with a clue. In Oil, clean up a client who has soaked in black crude oil. (Ew. But easier, I would think.)

2. Art and JJ
3. Bopper and Mark
4. Brendon and Rachel
5. Nary and Jamie
6. Vanessa and Ralph
7. Joey Fitness and Danny ... Philiminated.

Hey, Jackie and Petals. I missed last week's show. I am going to go read Jackie's write up. Be right back.

Hey there!

Hi everyone

Becky said...

Hey, Joe.

Petals said...

who watched Nole' on 60 Minutes??

Joe in NY said...

I'm beginning to feel insecure after watching the genius federal agents at work.

Joe in NY said...

just got home, Petals, no Nole for me. I'm having a hard time keeping track of all your men.

Becky said...

They bunched them up again.

Joe in NY said...

they always bunch them up. I'd still like to know what would happen if they just turned them loose and let them go. Kind of a Jules Verne Amazing Race

Joe in NY said...

In fact, even better: no credit cards, fixed amount of money, turn them loose and see who collects all the gnomes and gets home first.

Jackie said...

I watched it Petals, but I'm not into tennis.

Thanks Jackie. I know not everyone digs it, but Nole' is a great ambassador for his country & for the sport. I always love sharing it.

Joe - xoxoxox

Go Team Kentucky!!!

Stacking bales would be a cinch for me after doing that on the farm!

Petals said...

Joe! You! You? YOU are opposed to them being bunched up. Grrr

Jackie said...

I would think throwing them down would be easier than stacking them. Rachel (of Rachel and Dave) should have been on the truck.

Petals said...

this is like Officer & Gentleman, yikes!!

Petals said...

Rachel - why the flapper headgear? wth

Becky said...

The married couple did a good job.

SueGee said...

I'm here and ready for the party!!

Howdy everyone!

SueGee said...

Joe - as for bunching, they didn't do much in the first season and when it ended one team was almost a whole day behind the others.

Becky said...

Jackie, I agree that Rachel should have been the one throwing.

Becky said...

Yuk!

Margo said...

Hi everyone. I grilled some burgers tonight. Just started watching.

Becky said...

Jeeze-Louise, that oil is yucky!

Joe in NY said...

should never do the "needle-in-a-haystack" challenges. You can really end up tied up forever.

Becky said...

I can't believe that couple overlooked the clue that was stuck in the carpet.

Joe in NY said...

see, those needle in a haystack challenges are the worst.

Becky said...

I agree, Joe.

Jackie said...

At least they had the appropriate reaction when noticing the clues in the carpet store. "Duh! How stupid are we?" (Paraphrased)

Becky said...

See you Wed.

Jackie said...

Oh my. No Rachel breakdowns this week. No bickering on any team. Huh.

Jackie said...

Thanks for coming by!
