Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Overnight Into Sunday - Aug. 25-26

It looks like Dan's days are numbered

It's crunch time for the hamsters. They know it. Yesterday's reward/punishment comp results are in full bloom. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of You Wanted to be a Hamster:
  • Previously on Jackie's TV Blog ...
  • Jenn won PoV, but has to be on slop for the remainder of her time in the house. She also had to burn the skirt she's been wearing all season.
  • Frank got disqualified (thus allowing Jenn to win), supposedly for some sort of cheating. He said he was sorry and shouldn't have said anything to her. (?) He has to wear a carrot costume for a week and take chum baths at BB request for 24 hours. He also can't compete for HoH this week or next. This week as he's outgoing, next week due to the comp.
  • Britney has to be shackled to Danielle for 24 hours. She could choose the hamster and they're leg shackles with perhaps three feet between them.
  • Danielle got "painted" and, of course, is shackled to Britney.
  • Dan is in solitary confinement with industrial/techno disco beats and music pumping. He has cake, matzo and water. The music stops now and again, but the disco lights keep going.
  • Shane apparently did absolutely nothing in the comp. He has no punishments, he won no veto.
  • There. That's your recap. Onto the newest happenings ...
  • In between music blasts and through the door, Dan apologized to Britney for letting her down in the comp. Danielle thinks he's mad at her. Huh. He didn't even respond to her, so maybe he is.
  • He also said the Diary Room called him "emotional." That's not like Dan.
  • Loud, animated, perhaps. Emotional, rarely if ever.
  • The ONLY reward in the comp was the veto. No prizes for anyone. It worked on a point system for what they agreed to do.
  • Frank told Danielle and Britney that Jenn won't be using the veto.
  • He also told them he wants Joe and Dan out.
  • Meanwhile, both Joe and Jenn are not surprisingly floating to Frank.
  • Whichever way the wind blows for those two, eh?
  • Through the door, Dan told Joe that he was okay with how things went down. He didn't think Frank should have been disqualified and wouldn't have felt right winning it that way.
  • Joe told Frank he has his support through his two weeks of no HoH comp playing.
  • Frank and Joe had a long talk about Ian. Frank is already pondering "when to cut him loose" and Joe likes Ian just about as much as Ian likes Joe.
  • One thing which bothers me when Frank talks game with others -- he always projects himself as the winner. Others just talk final two and don't go there.
  • He says that no one should be able to win against him in the final two.
  • Joe encouraged that and said he'd be happy with the 50 grand.
  • Joe confronted Ian about all the "cuss words" he said on the live show.
  • Now, that's the pot calling the kettle black.
  • The only ones WITHOUT potty mouths in the house are Britney, Danielle, Dan and Shane. I'm talking current hamsters.
  • Frank and Ian, it's about every other word.
  • Not cool, I say. I realize it's a habit, but they need to drop that bad habit like a hot potato.
  • Speaking of speech patterns, it annoys me every time Frank calls another guy "son." He called Boogie that and Boogie is older than him. I find it condescending. You might call a small boy son, but not your co-workers or fellow hamsters. Knock it off, Frank.
  • There's no time pattern I can discern with Frank's chum baths, unlike Brendon's hourly ones last year.
  • This year the chum is red smelly goop.
  • Joe's been hoarding his beers thinking he could use them as a bribe to stay off the block or for a vote.
  • He was the one who wanted to trade his vote to JoJo for cigarettes.
  • Dan started ignoring people at the door. I feel sad for him.
  • Ian needs to calm his ego down, go back to rocking on the hammock. He's attracting too much gaming attention.
  • Frank thinks that once Dan is gone, the target will be off him.
  • Um. No. Everyone will want him out because if he does make it to the final two after the game he's been through, he'd probably unanimously win.
  • At one point, Britney and Danielle were unshackled at the table. Danielle said something about having to go back to the Diary Room to be reshackled before the live feeders blow up.
  • Hmm.
  • Joe seems to think he's getting buff. Yet he doesn't work out with the boys.
  • Nor does Ian, per se. He walks with the girls.
  • Britney told Danielle she doesn't think Frank could win in the final two.
  • True, if they're not voting for who played the game best, he couldn't.
  • Although I'm not really a Frank fan, I'd say if he made it to the final two, he'd deserve to win. The guy has really been up against all kinds of odds and beat them all.
  • But if BB had not interfered and let him stay when he was voted out the week of the coaches into the game, he wouldn't be here today.
  • Aha, now Britney is agreeing with me -- he'd be the most deserving.
  • I feel redeemed.
  • Joe thinks he's safe this week. I'm not as sure about that as he is.
  • Joe told Frank he's worried about Ian winning another HoH. "The boy's got Hitler in him. The boy's got the devil in him."
  • Frank went through nearly five hours without the chum signal. But then it got fairly rapid.
  • He begged BB to let him rest an hour without it going off.
  • He should have slept during the first rest, eh?
  • Unbelievably, Dan looks like he's actually sleeping with that music and the lights.
  • Not well, but at least napping.
  • There ya go ...

Shackle Mates

In many primate species, grooming is done for fleas

Time for a chum bath!

Yes, Jenn is still in the house

The comp turned Danielle into a cute little doggie

Cruel and unusual punishment, for sure!

Thanks Jackie -

A strange evening and a sad morning. Seems there is no way to save Dan.
Yes, Ian is becoming a bit big-headed. His youth is showing.

IMO, Frank is just too much: too much "aww shucks", too much hair, too much attitude, too many bodily function sounds.
Wish his streak would end & he'd just go a away.

Jackie always nails it with the captions!

I still hope they will find a way to get Frank out in the next 2 weeks. Wish BB would 'chum' him every 15 minutes... just cause he's so dang likable. :X

Between the spiral decor, flashing lights and 900 decibel music, Dan got the worst of the punishments.

Since Dan wouldn't answer Danielle, I'm thinking she may have done or said something (especially since she's convinced he's mad at her). But he's not answering anyone, so he maybe he just feels his entire "team" has turned and his days are numbered.

As an aside, I'm kind of surprised BB is blaring the 'music' for such extended time periods of time. Although it would probably take longer than 24 hrs to cause hearing loss, still...

Britney's humor is so quick. I find myself waiting for her next quip.

Frank not being able to play in the next two HOHs is certainly an opportunity for the other hamsters to get rid of him. Of course, he can still play for POV and would most likely win, so forget I said anything, LOL.

I have a headache for Dan. I do think just being in confinement would be bad enough, but to add the lights and the music is beyond torture. Hopefully there will be a way to still save Dan even though the Addams Family cousin says she is not using it to save who is up on the block. I would love to see Jenn decide to save Dani and Joe go up in Dani's place and the others vote out Joe. This would leave Dan in the house and would leave it much more interesting for us to watch, not to mention that it would freak out Frank. We all just need to somehow get this message to Brit, Shane and Ian to talk real hard to Jenn and force her to use her POV and convince her that by not using it she is wasting it. That is the only way I see that Dan could still stay in the game.

They say if you are going to dream, dream big...so I think I will start dreaming big.

Ian could use his POV, but then he's pretty sure that Brit would go on the block. Supposedly, he doesn't want that to happen. We shall see.

I read that Ian said he wanted to be a villain, so I'm curious to see whether he'll decides to pull the villain cord, and against who (please let it be Frank).

Ian has gotten a little too cocky. The QP no longer trusts him, and Frank flipflops about trusting Ian.

Frank is still a soldier in the one-man Boogie Army, so I think he is still viewing Dan as threat #1, and Ian as his little soldier "brother".

Ian could ask Frank to place Shane in Dan's place, not Brit. There. And Jenn could ask that Joe go in Dani's place. Then Joe goes. Everyone happy? (not me, I like Joe)

Looks like Dani may have contributed to Dan's final demise. Can't blame her though at some point everyone has to start playing for themselves.

Ian's been kinda' quiet??

Was really pulling for Dan to stay a while longer but it looks pretty bleak at this point. Seems his only options are to secure the votes which means 'turning' on Dani or getting either Jenn/Ian to use their veto or some combination of both.

P.S. Being 'shackled' to Brit for 24 hours.....Hhhmmm! @@

I can't stand frank he's very smug. I wish Jen would use the veto on dani and put Joe up then vote off Joe. If dan leaves I will no longer watch big brother abd neither will my friends we'd love to see dan come off. We are all dissapoiinted in the fact that production seems to be doing everything for frank to win. Telling Ian not to use his veto etc asking the judges to stay and reset the game when frank was leaving then pitting his shamrocks up top while burying all the others shame on production let's all ban together for dan to stay boy would that be a twist frank would die. It would be great to c frank back doored

Some like Frank and are mad production is involved some like Dan and are mad production is involved and some are STILL MAD BECAUSE JANELLE LEFT!!!!!!!! They did not see the need to keep her there. So....emotions all depend on who you are rooting for. Back in the day....I was happy production seemed to pick comps Janelle was good at, but not this time. :o(

I really do like Dan however I dont want him to win again under any circumstances. He's a nice guy, but somewhat of a floater, he doesn't win any comps or any really try to win.He has won the $500K prize once he should not have a chance to win again infact I dont feel they should keep bringing people that have already won once another chance to win, At this point I dont want Ian to win either he has become so full of himself.

Sharon N said...

Nobody likes to see smug and Frank has a whole lot of smug going. Guess it would be hard not to be over-confident and smug when you manage to win several HOH's, and win all the POVs needed to get off the block. Every. Single. Time.

It will take a miracle to save Dan... like Ian or Jenn using their POVs. It would be the perfect time to take advantage of Frank not being able to play in 2 HOH's. In reality, it's doubtful either one would do that since Jenn is too chicken and Ian would most likely feel it wasn't good for his game.

Sharon N said...

To clarify... he's won every single time he's needed to... except when BB saved him with the reset. :(
He should have been long gone.

Ed in Ohio said...

I kind of like Ian still (after Dan & Brit) but he's disappointing me a little.

He has a 'Power' and doesn't seem to want to take advantage of it. Not necessarily to help Dan but to use it for himself by negotiating with others about it's 'possible' use.

I think a more seasoned player would at least explore the options of using it. He seems to be willing to just let it go to waste.

Exactly - I love Janeygirl. She called Frank an ogre from day one, and I am still with HER: Frank is an ogre.
And I also agree about production interference.

Why does big brother want frank to win does it have something to do with his father the wrestler. Frank is loud and obnoxious. I really wish if production dictates who wins that they would listen to the viewers. It would bd great for someone to use pov to take dan off then see what frank does if dan leaves I think the show will become boring so I'm thinking of not watching bb anymore they should have left frank leave when he was suppose to instead of resetting the game. It would be great to c the quack pack til the end then see what happens

Regarding production interference saw this posted on Joker's Discussion Board this morning.....

Per Dr. Will on Dick@Nite: . "it's not a game of players. It's production's puppeteering of reality contestants". Also said he doesn't watch anymore.

Sharon N said...

WOW, that's quite a statement from Dr. Will.
Doubt BB production cares much if he's still watching, but Dr. Will has a long arm to the listening public, so maybe they should care.

I still can't help wonder how long before this show is canceled. Julie Chen has no worries... it would just be replaced with something else for her to host.

Production interference is nothing new. They did the DR interference all the time in S6. Howie putting up James and Sarah?

In the end, I believe they give them scenarios to think about, but it's the hamster that ultimately makes to move. Can they be swayed? Absolutely.

I'm not giving up hope for Dan, but agree his chances are bleak. I'm also not giving up on Ian. Ian for the WIN!

Sharon N said...

Wish Ian would become aware that Frank wants him out next.
Joe won't tell him. They don't like each other.
Wonder why there's animosity between those two.

Patty said...

I am not certain how far production goes, but I do believe they let the player make their decisions. With that said, I also believe they plant various ideas into their minds.

The thought has crossed my mind with Ian watching since he was ten years old and Frank trying to get on the show for a few or more years, BB is hoping to crown a new player rather than a previous BB player, just to make it look like they did not have a hand in any of it. This is just my guess, not something that has been printed anywhere.

It could be a good possibility that it will be Ian and Frank in the end.

Dan already has said on feeds that if he is sitting next to Ian in the end, he would be pulling for an Ian win.

monty924 said...

Patty, I agree.
Sharon, I think must of the Ian ragging on Joe was just an act to keep QPers of the block but since that's a bust, he will stick with it. He also doesn't respect Joe's floating to power and the fact that isn't a true fan of the game. That's just my read on it. :)

monty924 said...

*most, not must :)

Sharon N said...

I'm sure you've got the best read on it Monty.

Joe is a funny-odd duck. He floats from one HOH to the next, but still covering both sides of his bases. After schmoozing with Frank, he's reporting the Frank-convos to Shane. Not that Shane would know what to do with the info. @@

I wonder sadistic person came up with that have not room this year..I think thats almost like water boarding torture....no rest..bad food...horrid conditions..Dan will have to have hazzard pay.
I also dont get the chum baths...they made the house keep frank, why demoralize him now?

As a bb fan I had so much hope for this season but now reality is setting in this is not reality it is rigged by production I and my friends will no longer watch if dan is evicted. It's not that we want dan to win but we are very dissapointed that production is telling the players what to do. Guess that's the reason production always tell the players not to discuss diary room or production.

Petals said...

wow, Dan not well at all.
Joe went to check on him, thinks he needs a medic. Called for a medic, so of course, Delusionielle goes in there.
Dani tried to take his pulse and he pulled away.
Maybe Ian will feel so bad now that he will use the veto?

Petals said...

He did ask about the game, his chances, if there was any good news.
When she responded, he sounded like he was crying, then asked for a DR.

Wow. Poor Dan. I hate this for him.

Sharon N said...

Danielle and Brit are unchained now.

Dan is out of the torture chamber. BB better be glad that punishment wasn't doled out to someone with serious 'sensory' issues. As it is, Dan says he's 'not feeling right' and had to lay down again.

Sharon N said...

That little devil... Dan says he's ok to the camera, lifts the towel and winks. LMAO

Petals said...

Dan is acting!!!

Thank goodness.
It is for sympathy. Awesome.

Petals said...

This would be an awesome move - little Ian is about to implode anyway, he is rocking and staring like Boo Radley.

This would be perfect for Ian to pull him off out of sympathy.

monty924 said...

That's what I'm thinking, and hoping *wink*

Petals said...

I wonder if this will be on tonights show. Doubtful, huh?

monty924 said...

Is BB on time tonight? I just got home and 60 minutes is on, but I can't tell if it's running on time.

Thanks

monty924 said...

No, but it will be on Wednesday's show

Sharon N said...

Monty, looks like it's on time here in CO. Unless there's something special going on in your area, the only NFL is on NBC.

Patty,
I've had the same thoughts as what you've written.
Its become obvious, BB used various players, however planned all along to gradually have them all evicted!
