Big Brother 14: Live Feeds Post-Competition - Aug. 30-31

The smiles are fewer and far between

Well, well, well ... Ian won Head of Household. If you missed the competition action, check out the comp updates post. It was a shock to me that Shane lasted as long as he did. Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Hula Hoop Hamster:
  • As I mentioned in the update post, the punishment Joe received for falling first is that he has to hula hoop every time he hears military music.
  • Maybe he'll be able to hula hoop by the time the punishment ends.
  • Ian and Shane can do it.
  • Joe? Not so much. BB yelled at him for hitting himself in the head with the hoop.
  • Shane told Dan that he included him in the safety deal he made with Ian.
  • No, he didn't. Shane ONLY asked for safety for himself and Danielle.
  • Danielle bashed the now gone Britney. Some friend she is, eh?
  • The big HoH reveal went down.
  • Gee, I feel in with the In Crowd. Danielle didn't know the music group on Ian's CD.
  • I know them -- the Arctic Monkeys. They've been on Letterman a few times and I'm a Letterman addict.
  • I can't believe BB actually still finds a CD Walkman to use for the HoH winners.
  • He's the only HoH to receive an element in his goodies basket -- bismuth.
  • I'm shocked I know how to spell bismuth.
  • Ian was gracious and generous with his goodies.
  • He also told people they were free to go as "this is the most boring thing ever."
  • BB gave everyone beer (although Ian got some in his basket).
  • Frank is worried that he'll be nominated as a carrot.
  • He probably will. The week is up tonight, most likely at midnight he can take it off.
  • Danielle went on about how her face hurt and she was worried about the paint/tan used in the comp.
  • She also threw up twice.
  • It's all about Danielle.
  • Ian told Joe he's safe from the nominations.
  • BB told him he's not allowed to discuss his nominations.
  • Ian says he's not going to drink beer for the rest of the season with the exception of his HoH beer.
  • Maybe he did learn a lesson.
  • Frank tried to worm into working with Ian.
  • I don't think so, Carrot Boy!
  • Ian doesn't commit to any promises.
  • Frank talked about being nominated in front of Danielle and Dan. He mentioned that Danielle and Shane are safe and that Joe told him Ian said he was safe tonight.
  • Ian later told Dan he made the safety deal with Shane for Shane and Danielle only ... no Dan in there!
  • So now Dan knows Shane lied to him.
  • Perhaps he should have hung in there and tried harder to win?
  • Dan also all of a sudden wants to work with Ian.
  • @@
  • Ian, don't drink that Kool-Aid!
  • When asked to revive the Renegades, Ian only committed to the Quack Pack being safe. He'll commit (or not) to the Renegades by the end of the week.
  • Hmm ... sounds like he's going to go for Frank or Jenn, doesn't it?
  • That's it for now!

Joe's punishment. He shouldn't quit his day job.

In his HoH goodies, Ian got bismuth

Gee, where's Shane who saved her?

Love Arctic Monkeys! Ian has good taste in music.
I listened to much of his conversation with the QP, Volume 2.
He called them all "kids" when he addressed them, and was very in control. He put on his Big Boy Britches!
Go Ian!
Moving into at the Open, all my faves are doing well. Crimson Tide football begins tomorrow, so this is my last 24 hours of peace, LOL

Happy Blue Moon Friday, Ms Jackie & E'one!

Im thankful Ian won. I wish he would nominate Dan and Frank. let those two duke it out..always good to see the one get control that they underestimate. I think he will do Brit proud.

Roll Tide Petals!

I really do not know who I want to win BB now. They have all split their alliances and backstabbed each other. I know that is the game.
I may be for Frank now. He really seems like a nice guy without the bugger!

Donna in Alabama said...

He should put up Dan and Frank and if one of them wins veto, put up Shane ... but of course, he has promised not to put Shane up.

every time i see danielle, I want to throw up

He is crazy if he doesn't put up Frank and Dan. They are both probably going to end up playing in the Veto since there aren't that many of them left. If Dan is on the block he will try harder to win the Veto. At least this way he will get rid of one of them.

Can't say that I'm thrilled about Ian winning HOH. I was kinda hoping to see him walk out the door next. Not much suspense on who will be nominated - definitely Frank, and most likely Jenn, possibly Dan.

Patty said...

It would be nice if Ian would put up Frank and Dan, then Ian wins the POV and noms stay the same. I just don't know if that will happen. I bet Ian will put up Frank and Jenn. Remember Jenn and Ian are not fond of each other and Frank nor Jenn are part of the Quack Pack.

With that said, it is the BB Compound, so things twirl around as much as that hula hoop does.

Joe in NY said...

He should nominate Dan and Frank. Jenn is a non-entity. He has to know he can't trust Dan anymore. In fact, based on what Frank told him when he put up Britney, it was clear he would rather have put up Ian but couldn't. So, Dan really was responsible for going after both Ian and Britney and if Ian doesn't see that...

If he puts up Frank and Jenn, then Dan could win POV and save Frank. Then you have Jenn and who? Joe? He promised Shane and Danielle safety. If he puts them both up, one of them has to stay on the block...

Joe in NY said...

I don't fully understand the "don't discuss the nominations" rule. I mean, that's about all the HOH does all week: discuss deals, nominations and replacements.

So if Ian says to Dan, I won't nominate you if you promise me two weeks safety and they shake on it that's okay. But if Ian just looks at Joe and says I'm not nominating you, that's not????

Seems Ian badly wants his " Quack pack " team to stick together, wonder why?

I've never heard of Arctic Monkeys, I must be out of touch lol which reminds me, my grandson is very hyper this girl told me maybe he should be on addrell, after I said I don't know what that was, she asked how long have I lived under a rock.

Patty said...

I stand corrected...Joe is not part of the Quack Pack.

RBennie said...

I think Ian wants to Quack Pack to stay together because he feels that he is the leader of the Quack Pack. I don't think he is or ever was. He was their mole. Of course, with him being HOH now, I'm sure the Quack Packers will quickly agree to whatever he says. At least to his face, LOL.

Petals said...

When Joe was allowed in the HOH with the QP, they called themselves "The Headhunters". That lasted a week, hehe.

Pumpkin Joe: I read/heard that BB yells at them about discussing noms ONLY when BBAD is on. They don't want all of us getting spoilers, ruining their TV viewership.
BUT first! Before BB told him to stop, Ian told the new QP that he is nomming Frank & Jenn, so even if one wins veto, he can replace with Joe. Win, win, win for Ian. He was so funny last night!

Donna - Whoo!! Roll Tide Roll! :)

Petals said...

and! OMGosh this was so icky, but after Ian had the quick QP convo in the HOH room, he said he wanted to get some rest, but first they (D/S/D/I) did this weird, freaky cheer, where they make a duckbill with their and quack together in a circle, closing in until their "bills" touch, then they yell "Quack Pack, Whoo!"

Ugh. Was not very dignified. You can tell all but Ian are embarrassed by it.

Anon - yes, I agree about Delusionielle. Evil Dan and Jenn keep telling her that Shane is crazy about her. And she is all excited, thinking that the only reason he isn't making a move is because they are in the house. Poor girl will be picking-out china patterns the minute she gets back to Tuscaloosa. Meanwhile, Shane will prolly leave skidmarks getting away from her!@@

Never seen a season where the alliances are so on/off, in /out. How does everyone in there keep track of so many lies to so many people?

Anywho. I think Ian will nom Jenn and Dan, and try to BD Frank. If Frank wins the POV, he will save Jenn and Joe will go up.

Ian is still upset he listened to Brit and put up Frank and Ash, instead of attempting a BD. And when Dani asked Dan when do we get rid of Carrot Boy after his funeral apology he said the first time we get a clean shot at at BD.

I am not an evil genius (or any kind of genius for that matter) or a BB savant so I don't know who Ian will nominate but I am pretty sure his target is Frank.
The only 2 players I am currently cheering for are Dan & Ian. The rest of them do not entertain or interest me at all.

Hula hooping doesn't seem like much punishment. The reward probably would have been the same hoop, but no command to use it.

Petals and Donna ROll Tide!
Donna just so you will know I am not a LSU fan nor have I ever been. I currently live in Louisiana but I am a Bama fan through and through. My blood runs crimson!

whoo Lynn! RTR!

Since they took the wins from Penn State, now AL has the winningest record.

It is amazing how smug Shane can become when he KNOWS he is safe. I started out liking him, but that sure has faded fast.

I thought I heard Ian state that he really does not want to waste a nom on Frank. Is he thinking more on the lines of putting up Jenn and Dan, with Dan or himself winning POV? He told Joe he is not going up unless he is a replacement. Where does Frank fit in to this? That is what is leaving me a bit confused with his game play. I think leaving Frank in the game will make it harder for Ian to reach the end. While they have the chance, Ian needs to get Frank out or the numbers against Ian are going to add up fast.

Petals, I had extra cleaning duties today. I had just taken a drink when I got to your post and the part where you stated Dani picking out her china pattern and Shane leaving skidmarks. I lost it, water went spraying all over everything. I do want you to know the laughter and extra clean-up was well worth it. Too funny!

Nice to see you are hanging in there lynn. I hope it is over for you soon.

I am sending good vibes your way and praying for a great return home for you. Hang in there and best of luck.

So, Frank gets to take off the Carrot outfit about 12 hrs early?
I can see 30-60 minutes before, but WTH does BB give this jerk such preferential treatment?

monty924 said...

Ian should nominate Frank outright if he is his target. Only one person will sit out the POV and I wouldn't take the chance that Frank would. If he isn't on the block and he plays veto and wins, he'll take Jen down and then Ian's in a pickle.

Happy Blue Moon back at ya, Petals. Tonight is Neil Armstrong's funeral. How fitting is that? Godspeed Mr. Armstrong!

tbc said...

Monty924

That is very fitting :)

Pandora's Box and Jessie paid a visit.
Poor Ian, lost all his food goodies, including the beer.
Gifts for everyone else.

Every year, BB gets cheaper and cheaper with the gifts. Danielle has a blow-up toy? Should give it to Joe! lol

Petals said...

wow, Monty. It is very fitting for Mr Armstrong's funeral to be today. Maybe God planned it this way.

Frank getting preferential treatment today? Heck, that boy has been kissed by the BB gods.

Patty - sorry about the spit take, LOL. Dani just gives so much fodder for mean humor, right?

tbc said...

Jesse - again?? O.K, getting bored!

monty924 said...

Drats. When I finally get home I have to watch a ton of FBs. Ian losing his food and beer... awww. I don't think he'll mind much though because he was so willing to be a have-not for so long.

And yes, I think something higher and more powerful is giving a salute to Neil Armstrong. :)

lynn1 said...

I guess I am seeing things in a very biased way but geesh Frank seems to get so many breaks and poor Ian seems to get dumped on.

Petals said...

Sharon,
Dani getting a blow-up toy is is hilarious. The joke is too obvious; someone in production has a mean sense of humor.
She will probably refuse to blow it up until the toy agrees to dinner & a movie first.

I never watch Ellen, but Brad Pitt is on, and ... homina homina...

Petals said...

Lynn, I agree.
BUT! I am really hoping that Matt from Brit's season, Ian's idol, will make an appearance at the finale to surprise Ian. That'd be cool. I bet Brit will help arrange it.

Sharon N said...

LMAO Petals... your sense of humor is priceless!

Now it's coming out Ian's goodie foods were taken and Jesse left blow-up pool toys.
Then he visited downstairs and threw out all the unhealthy food (Joe's gravy, etc.) and replaces it with Organic stuff.
He was particularly hard on Joe and Dan. Dan said, "yeah, well we kind of have a history." lol

HG's (or should I say Ian) also got a new padded hammock that doesn't squeak.

Sharon N said...

Zingbot and Jesse are getting old.
BB needs to find something/someone else for entertainment.

As an adult HG, I'd have a hard time being entertained, much less amused, by either.

monty924 said...

Lol, I agree with Sharon. Petals, you are our Britney on the blog. I look forward to your take on things every day. :))

monty924 said...

Ian got a shiny new hammock! YAY for Ian. Rock aways lil man. <3

Ed in Ohio said...

Jesse again?? What does he have a life time contract with BB?

Blow up toys, a hula hoop, Jesse. Times are rough I guess $$$, even for CBS.

Monty what a great point you made regarding Neil Armstrong. Nice thought!
