Welp, this is it. Since early July, we've watched hamsters in the house off each other, many indirectly (but effectively) at the hands of Dan, the Man With a Plan. It's down to Ian, Dan and Danielle. Who will be in the final two and who will snag the majority of the jury votes? As the show airs, I'll update this entry with the major events. But, true to tradition, the real excitement is in the comments area -- come join us!
And, while I have y'all here -- I'd like to thank you for the kind words about me and about the blog. If you so desire, I'm always willing to accept donations at the Paypal link on the side. Mind you, you don't have to donate. But, y'know ... if you feel like it, I appreciate it. Donations or not, I do appreciate each and every one of you. (I refuse to say 'preesh!)
But, first ... let's get on with the HoH final competition! Final three -- quack.
Dan talked to Ian before part one and convinced him to throw it. Then he got Danielle to drop by telling her he would do better against Ian in Part Three (and bring her).
Dan schemes with Danielle to have her get all mad at Ian if she doesn't win. Dan thinks he can talk Ian into throwing the third part of the HoH to him. We'll see about that.
Part Two is the BB Skyscraper. They have to scale a building and place eliminated hamsters in the correct order. Danielle - 7 minutes, 31 seconds. Ian - 6 minutes, 4 seconds. Ian wins Part Two!
Heh. Ian tells Dan he won't throw the comp. He's "risk-averse."
The jury talks over the final three. Joe and Britney are pro-Ian. Frank and Jenn are still bitter. Onto Danielle -- riding Dan's coattails, but then thinking she's smart. Dan -- Britney is in awe. Dangerous. Frank, Joe and Shane are reserved about his gameplay.
The final part of the HoH -- Ian pitted against Dan. It's how well you know the members of the jury. Ian is a point ahead! Two points ahead!Three points ahead! IAN IS THE FINAL HOH!
Ian votes to evict ... Danielle because he "has to honor his commitment to Dan."
Jury questioning time.
Ashley -- Ian, credit for the Quack Pack, did you make the decisions or follow?
He takes credit and Dan tries to interrupt.
Frank -- Lying and backstabbing (Dan), wedding ring -- Had to be ruthless, but it got me to this point.
Jenn -- Ian, don't respect snitches. After reset, had to play my own game.
Joe -- Up to elbows in blood (Dan), how with no HoH? Dan talks about all the stabbing in the back he had to do.
Britney -- Ian, why do you deserve to win over Dan? Build my own destiny, made my own alliance, played a slightly cleaner game.
Shane -- Satan, er, Dan ... why do you deserve to win over Ian? Britney brought Ian by the leash. Ian is saying BULL.
Danielle -- Ian, did you know Dan had a final two deal with me? No, he gave me his grandfather's gold necklace with cross.
Speech time:
Ian -- Disgusted with what he just heard in the questioning. He lays into Dan. Stands up for himself well.
Dan -- Does his practiced speech I posted this morning. "I beat you, but I love you." Danielle has daggers in her eyes.
Voting time - Ashley first. then Britney, Frank, Joe, Jenn, Shane, Danielle (try to keep her word).
The eliminated non-jury hamsters dish before the votes are read.

Everybody is QUACKING! Ashley and Britney also voted for Ian. The vote for Ian to win was 6-1 with the one for Dan being Danielle.

I would have been happy with either Dan or Ian winning, but have to say I'm particularly happy for Ian to be able to pay off all his school loans as well as helping his family.
My pool boy Shane lasted a long time, but my favorite from the beginning won. I'm happy with that.
I have no clue who voted Frank fan favorite, though. I'm wondering if the real vote was Ian and he couldn't win it because he won the game.
I don't think Frank won America's Player...they just didn't want to give Ian all that money--Winner, Boogie's 3,000, Pandora, etc

I think that Dani did NOT want to vote for Dan. She looked way too ticked. I really think the producers may have been fooled by this one. That is why they started with Dani's key.
As far as America's Choice Ian probably won that too...Frank was probably second and they had to pass over the real winner. But ya gotta admit Frank was entertaining in the carrot suit and the cheerleader outfit..

Going back to the AF vote, Adam clarified that on the feeds chat. The winner cannot win AF. I'm guessing the second can't either.
If the top vote getter is the winner, it goes to the next top vote. Having said that, I stll can't believe that Frank won it unless we all, including me, voted for Ian instead of Britney or Janelle. BB is and has always been a strange beast.

I would like to see what she thinks after the tapes of the show. She was completely used and abused by Dan, she didn't know it at the time..but she should now, I want to see what she think's after. And acts like a child and everyone treats him like one. Dan played a perfect game, and everyone was against him because of how flawless it was. Dan literally got out the entire jury. What did Ian do? Followed Dan blindly, just like Danielle.

I think Dan felt pretty bad about the lengths to which he went and how many people he hurt and he didn't even win. I think that's going to be a wakeup call for him.
Will Dani wake up? Who knows. I hope she gets some help though.
Also shocked about Frank winning, but since his dad is some sort of professional wrestler and probably has a huge fan base of his own, he probably got them to vote Frank.
Good job Ian! Good guys can win! This is a good lesson for people to remember these days, you don't have to lie cheat and steal and hurt people in order to succeed (I'm looking at you Romney).

Don't know what Jackie's policy on links is so I won't post a link, but if you Google "The Autobiography of Danielle Murphree: A Compilation Of Her Own Words" you will find one of the most hilarious things to read during your BB14 withdrawal.

Anyway, I'm glad Ian won but certainly would have respected a Dan win as well. Everyone (including Ian) lied, cheated, whatever...that IS the game. And Dan was amazing in his scheming, planning, and extricating himself from almost certain eviction, etc. He did play a great game (IMHO).
Even so, I couldn't help but root for Ian. He played a very smart game, won competitions and was generally more straightforward than some, trying not to outright lie, when possible. I can't say he played better than Dan but he did play a better social game because he was able to get the votes in the end. I also give him credit for NOT falling for throwing the final HOH to Dan. He was a tougher competitor than many expected. All MO, of course.
As for Danielle, it's all been said. I really couldn't believe she still voted for Dan. I can't even comment further.
And to Jackie, thanks so much! I'm not a survivor fan so I'll see you next summer and on Sundays when I remember to look at your Week in Photos which I also enjoy.

Sasha, I wonder if he misheard the question as "Blow the HOH" instead of "Throw the HOH" because his following comments just don't make sense. When Julie asked him, he said he would have taken Danielle. But yet here he talks about how he would have evicted her. I think his crazy act for the past week finally got to him. "Need a psyche!"
As for the lying aspect, my thing with Dan wasn't so much that he lied, because it is true that they all have to lie. It is the degree and his attitude towards it. He seemed to take pleasure in it and in getting people to fall for it, and to actually hurt them, like he did with Danielle. Ian seemed to feel badly about lying and never tried to intentionally hurt anyone. Dan seemed to take an almost sadistic pleasure in what he was doing.
FA, of course you could be right about the crazy thing :)
I just listened to Dan's live chat with Jeff and he said he had planned to take Ian if he (Dan) had won HOH...that he and Ian both actually believed that Danielle would get the jury votes because they liked her. He said had he known that they really didn't think much of her, he would have taken Danielle if he'd won HOH. Maybe that's what he meant by "Had I had all this great information..." So I guess everyone's (maybe including Dan) confused.
BTW, I totally agree about Dan vs. Ian...it seemed to bother Ian when he had to lie or deceive -- Dan, not so much. Oh well, I'm happy with the outcome. BFN.

It's difficult to believe Big Brother could reach new depths, but overall, as Dan showed us, this season's new houseguests were the dimmest bulbs ever. Frank could win physical comps, and Ian could win mental ones. Beyond Ian and Frank, even if the house's lights were on, among the newbies, nobody was home. Next year, let's hope for some much smarter new players.

Best part of The TALK segment. The three of them got the BB Snuggies. They played an audio clip of Ian asking if they could get one of those (when they had finished taping their not live interviews that aired on Wednesday). There were only five made for the ladies and they gave the F3 three of theirs.
