The Amazing Race - November 11 Episode Blog Party

Thank you, everyone, for your concern about me in the wake of Hurricane Sandy! I'm back!

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major events. But the real fun is in the comments area. Join us there!

Teams are off to Moscow.

The Detour has to alphabetize (collecting books) or synchronized swimming. The Roadblock is with keys and locks. Two teams -- the goat farmers and Abbie/Ryan are way behind due to flight issues.

1. Trey and Lexi - Won a trip to Maui.
2. James and Jaymes
9. Natalie and Nadiya

James and Abba lost their bags in a taxi. They weren't allowed to check into the Pit Stop at number four. And, then it ends. This leg is a two-parter.

I also have some Cassis if anyone would like to try a splash in their Champagne. I love it!

I really feel for Becky . My Mom has Alzheimer's too. She is suffering with a compressed fracture of the L1 veterbrae. It is really hard to deal with when they can't remember what is causing the pain.

this season has been a total loss to me. I need to pay more attention. I have NO feelings about any of these teams.

I'm so sorry to hear about Becky's mom. Prayers out to her!

SueGee - Not quite caught up with Survivor yet. Life is still a bit wonky here. I can't believe how tired I am! I'll probably hit the sack after TAR. And, that's not like me!

Joe I agree with you. I am not cheering for anyone and really don't dislike any of the team either

Joe in NY said...

ok, that's all but a needle in a haystack challenge. Don't really like those. Someone's going to end up stuck in the library until morning!

Oh no! Poor Becky!!!

If they had half a brain, they could learn the order of the alphabet. Since it is already alphabetical, they could get the order from the sequence of the first letters and then they'd have half a chance...

I thought the Indian girls were actually pretty good in the water considering they were amateurs

Joe, I was listening. I've a bit of a cold with a fever, and my thoughts aren't fully forming enough to share!

Sharon S said...

Becky, how is your mother?

Nickelpeed said...

3rd isn't good? They still have the express pass?

I wish they would get lost. LOL

Joe in NY said...

Hey Becky, how's your Mom?

Sharon S said...

I agree. Those twins can't be eliminated soon enough for me.

Nickelpeed said...

Hi Becky - How is everything? Your mom? (((hugs)))

Nickelpeed said...

Oh gosh, the two rockers could be last. Darn. Hope he finds his passport.

SueGee said...

ha ha freudian slip on the race results?

Joe in NY said...

OK all things considered, they may both survive the day. But what is the point in "working together"? What were they going to do, step on the mat at an identical time? Or race the last 50 yards?

Momma is still in the ER waiting for them to give her a room. They gave her a pretty strong pain shot (she received two)so they could take more x-rays.

She was dozing off and on and the nurse told us to go home and they would call us when she was assigned a room.

She told us the orthopedic surgeon would review the x-rays and talk with the family tomorrow. Since Momma was sleeping I told her goodbye and that I loved her. We have a little thing where one tells the other I love you and the other says I love you a bushel and a peck and then the other replies and a hug around the neck. She woke long enough to respond to my I love you.

We will go back to the hospital tomorrow.

Thank all of you for your good thoughts and prayers.

Well, of course I missed the re-opening of the pool. It's my Sunday night policy to always get home too late to join in here. :( So happy to see you back on the grid, Jackie and really enjoyed your Sunday morning retrospective both in word and pics.

Becky, I'm so sorry to see this about your dear momma. I'm sending up prayers for healing and sending them up for you as well.
