Off Topic: That Was the Week It Was - June 29, 2014

Hey, folks! This is my weekly off television topic photo post! If you're looking for the latest Big Brother 16 stuff, you can find it at this link. In this post, I reflect on the week gone by in both words and photographs I've taken along the way.

I've had some trouble with my Firefox browser freezing or the blog freezing my Firefox this morning. So, I'm running late at everything! Gah.

I really don't have much to report on this week. BB started, so I'm way busy. I'm working my full-time job atop of it, so I'm way busy. With the exception of some early week rain, it hasn't been horridly hot here this past week. Yay!

I think it might be best to get this up while Blogger and Firefox are working together well ...

Here's lookin' at ya, kid!

I thought this bee might be sick or dying. Then he turned and looked at me. Eep. I'm allergic, dude! He then flew away. Phew! Bridgewater, NJ.

A flower jungle out there

The house at the corner of Richmond and East Front in Plainfield is a cacophony of color!

Flower slideshow ahead

The flower slideshow of the week is just after the jump if you're reading this from the main blog page!

Again, I have a weed or two in here. But they're flowers, too! A lot of the shots are of flowers in planters at both work and on the streets of Plainfield. Some are on people's lawns. Lilies are going crazy and sprouting up everywhere. And, like the last few weeks, we find out that flowers do indeed bend with the rainfall.

Blackcaps?

Growing wild near the Bridgewater Train Station and even at the Plainfield Train Station.

Even the birds won't eat these

Nope, birds and deer ignore these. Growing near the Bridgewater Train Station.

Don't fence me in

Sheesh. You aren't fenced in. You can fit between the rails. Stop your panicking!

I see you, bunny rabbit

Just because you turn your back to me doesn't mean you're invisible. East Front Street, Plainfield.

The bee's knees!

Another look at the bee.

I see dead people

They shouldn't sleep on the train near me; nor should they sleep on the lawn at the Plainfield Train Station.

A teensy fly

This teensy-weensy fly or mimic-fly probably isn't a quarter of an inch long. He was nice enough to stay still for the shot.

I want to be a prairie dog!

No, you're still a squirrel. I don't care if you stand up.

I'm ignoring you

This is what happens when Vincent realizes I'm getting ready to head out for work. Nope, no catnip involved. He just throws himself on his back and pretends to ignore me while looking like the cutest cat in the world.

Jackie, in your photo of the squirrel titled Don't fence me in , is that a bunny in the background?

No, it's another squirrel. However, the rabbit shot this week was only about 200 feet away from those squirrels.

Jackie, finally got to look at these. The slide show of the flowers is beautiful. I also liked the reference to the Prairie Dog..he really does look one in the shot you captured.

As usual, Vincent is the star.
