Big Brother 16: Live Feeds Friday into Saturday - September 6

How I feel watching them this season

First off --- my apologies. I jumped the gun for the first time ever in the blog by calling the nominations with scant proof. The particular long Jeff interviews feed blockage was NOT the nominations. I'll explain what it was in a moment.

But then the nominations came down later and I was right with my call that it's Cody and Victoria on the block with Victoria the probable target of all (even though Derrick would probably personally prefer to keep her in his own game). I was just wrong about the WHEN on the nominations.
  • The initial Jeff interviews feeds blockage was due to Jeff himself (and Jordan). As promised on the show Thursday, they showed up at the house.
  • Why?
  • So Jeff could propose marriage to Jordan in the backyard complete with champagne and a band and all.
  • Caleb thought the instruments meant they expected him to play/serenade the couple.
  • @@
  • Caleb also thought that they would get to bring the leftover champagne back into the house.
  • He was mistaken.
  • In the house, Jeff reamed them for being slobs.
  • Good.
  • Eventually through the evening, they went on a housecleaning mass effort.
  • The bathroom actually looks good without clutter all over.
  • I'd mock them for being so excited when they found a Swiffer in the storage room, but I'd have to mock myself as well.
  • I love a Swiffer.
  • Seeing the storage room all stocked with goods reminds me of a survivalist shelter of some sort. I could have used a stocked storage room when I was laid up with knee surgery! I still want one.
  • Conversation of Christine getting booed continued to arise now and then. They have come to the conclusion that she played them all and was cruel in Diary Room sessions or the married woman hanging all over Cody or she's just plain a mean person.
  • I must be a mean person, too. I'm kind of enjoying them all worrying about possibly being booed.
  • Heehee.
  • Out of the remaining hamsters, I can only see Frankie being booed. Post-Amber Caleb has been bearable, albeit full of himself and delusions of grandeur. Heck, Caleb has even been entertainment in a house of dullards since Zach and Hayden left. Yeah, I've been staunchly a Derrick fan since the start and think his puppetmaster powers are amazing. But, as for his entertainment value? That's so lacking, dude!
  • They continue to worry and question what pushing the button did/will do to them.
  • They're not close at all to the real answer.
  • They'll find out Wednesday.
  • Donny holla: "Fear the beard, holla!"
  • They want Zach to record more hollas.
  • The hollas have actually slowed down a lot.
  • Holla! I ain't no hollaback girl!

  • The Team America mission chosen (obviously chosen by show only viewers) is to convince them there's a rodent in the house and stay up all night to catch it.
  • Now, the fast would have been more interesting. This one is too much like the neighborhood patrol one.
  • I personally think Team America should have ended when one was voted out.
  • Derrick is scrambling to find a way to save both Cody and Victoria. If he wins veto and takes Cody down, Caleb goes up ... can they get rid of Frankie without Caleb's help?
  • Hmm.
  • Little does he know, the pushing of the button killed this whole week's HoH and nominations anyway.
  • Maybe they can get it right on the second try -- Frankie on the block, Frankie goes home.
  • Lots of small talk.
  • Yawn.
They'll be knocking down my door with offers

Everybody's best F2 partner

Just a joker

Channeling Caleb? Ew.

Donny recorded a Holla?? Cool!
I really wish they'd show more jury house footage. Those are the people I want to see, anyway!!

Gentle Reader said...

An end to Team America when the first one was voted out? Ha! That would have been Joey, meaning there would have been no Team America! (f#$& yeah!)

Sharon N said...

I believe Jaxkie was referring to "the first TA member" (Donny).. not the first person voted out (Joey).

There was a funny convo last night. Victoria wanting to marry someone older... he doesn't have to be a virgin, but wants someone who hasn't been with a lot of women.
Caleb's translation? "She wants an old truck with low miles!"
Now THAT is funny!!

~~Silk said...

Sharon, I believe Gentle Reader is technically correct. Joey was the first person on Team America. She had been told she was part of the team --- and then she was evicted before the next two were chosen. See http://bigbrothernetwork.com/what-happens-team-america-joey-van-pelt-evicted/ for a short discussion.

monty924 said...

Yes, Joey was the first one voted to team America but the team didn't really assemble until after she was evicted.

~~Silk said...

Yeah, Monty, that's why I said "technically". At the link there's a discussion of what production's options were at that point - to say "Oh, the heck with it, no TA" (unacceptable), to go with two members, or to get another member to make three.

Personally, I wish they'd gone with two. (Frankie was the last, wasn't he? I don't remember.)

Sharon N said...

oops, sorry. I really did forget about Joey's part...thanks for the clarification. It was so long ago that I totally forgot Joey had anything to do with... anything. In fact, I don't actually remember much about her other than the blue hair and the alternate/obnoxious screaming male-character. Gads, to think she might have become 'almost' as obnoxious as FJG... kinda boggles the mind!

Two members would have been more than sufficient, but then that would meant FJG didn't get quite as much air time. Oh no! @@ TA also needed increasingly more difficult assignments... not these wussy things Production thought up!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE... someone get FJG out of the house!!!
BMC has become enough entertainment all by himself.
We don't need to see FJG mugging and groping 24/7.
It would be especially soul-satisfying if, by some freak accident, it's Victoria doing the dirty deed! LMAO

~~Silk said...

Anyone know when the reset timer hits zero? I hope I hope I hope it's after the eviction voting, and Julie gets to say, "By a vote of zero to two, [Victoria/Cody/whomever] you have [Blatt! timer hits zero and siren goes off] been saved from eviction by the reset button!

Oh, I hope I hope I hope!

But that would probably require more precise timing than I think production is capable of on a live show.

Petals said...

Anon yesterday mentioned that mentioned how this season is just a vehicle for FJG. I agree.
I mean, think about it: Ariana is a rising young star, poised to take-over the world for the next 18mths. But there is baggage: her hanger-on, over-the-entertainment-hill half-brother, who is not going away. What to do? Get him his own gig, AWAY from Ariana.
Like it or not (and I don't), Ariana IS the next huge thing. She is 2015's Katy Perry. But she can't meteorically rise with a loud, fey, ambiguously talented family member clinging to her fringed coattails. Hell, even Angelina couldn't pull-off the brother nothing.
CBS, (who owns them both contractually & via network) is now in a position to secure FJG a gig that will keep him occupied, paid & AWAY from Ariana: let FJG win Big Brother, give him some lame online gig (ala Rachel R) and TA-DA! everyone wins! Ariana loves CBS, CBS loves Ariana - and both love that Frankie isn't up either of their asses.
{Mind you, this is all learned speculation and, JMO, natch.}

Monty - I watched Crust's eviction twice, too. LOL. You are so right - her hatred of Donny seeps from her. I have said from the beginning that she is a hateful, mean-spirited, nasty girl. She seems to use her 'church' to cloak her sins, like that will absolve her of all this negativity. Whatever. I am just glad (and I am sure so are Jeff & Jordan) that she wasn't part of their engagement. LOL

At this point, Caleb & FJG are trying to be the "star". Both think they have America's Fave in the bag. HA - if they only knew they have no chance. Donny is the runaway fave, and Zach is the star of this season! HAHAHA!

Sharon N said...

Silk, that would be absolutely hysterical!!!!
A last second saved-by-the-bell...literally... and FJG's face at his 'wasted HOH.' LMAO

Sharon N said...

Petals' analysis is well thought out. Let's hope a portion of it is wrong... the part where FJG wins.

uncartie said...

Luckily I still have Thurday's episode on my DVR. Don't ask me why. :) Here is _exactly_ what Julie said at the end of the show.

"Next weeks live vote will stop live on the air. The 2 nominess will immediately come off the block. The game will rewind and the entire week will be replayed. That means next week's nominee could go from being on the block to becoming Head of Household."

So that sounds like the vote will be stopped before anyone votes.

So in effect it really won't change a damn thing. They'll have another HOH comp where Victoria will be at best a 4-1 underdog to win, assuming it's something she could actually win, like a coin flip,or more like a 100+ to 1 shot if it's anything else.
POV comp odds will be the same.

So barring a miracle,Victoria will still go home.

It will be interesting what kind of comps production chooses.

I'm still hoping that if Team America completes the task, all three TA members will get $5,000. After all, production didn't select Team America. America did! And America didn't vote Donny off the team. No one did! Not even the other houseguests. They just evicted him from the house. Can that eviction overrule America's vote? I think not! Go Donny!

Good analysis,Petals. I could see them giving FJG a bone to chew on. They gave Donnie I assume a walk-on role in a soap,so who knows what they could offer FJG.

It's clear that CBS is in the tank for him. The EW piece with Julie claiming that

"Frankie’s comments feel real and genuine. Or maybe that’s just my ego talking. I have to admit I get a kick out of it because he does it in such an adorable way. He acts like he’s meeting a big star and it’s flattering. What can I tell you? Chenbot is a sucker for a nice compliment. I am human after all….????"

Really Julie? You don't see any fake Hollywood expressions and butt kissing? Really???

If any of you ever watched SCTV,FJG could have been a character on the "Sammy Maudlin Show".

I am sure I will get lots of response to this question. I don't watch the After Hours show so maybe that is where I would find the answer. But why do you have such a hate for Frankie and dislike for everything he says and does? He does have a "big personality" which I don't see as unusual for the life he leads outside the house. He is just playing the game the only way he knows how. Caleb is stuck on himself also but that doesn't seem to bother anyone. Actually Derrick's cockiness bothers me the most although as a person he seems very likeable.

Sharon N said...

yup, there is NO WAY that Julie can be that ignorant, or that easily flattered. Which means something is in the bag for FJG. For sure.

There is absolutely NOTHING real or adorable about FJG, and his flattery is so incredibly nauseating and phony. It makes viewers want to vomit.

Sharon N said...

Anon 4:38 - So far, CBS has been giving Frankie a very good edit for the regular shows.
Only recently have they shown anything that would resemble a slightly bad edit.
You would have to get the feeds, or watch BB After Dark to see the "real" Frankie... not only with all his pushy behavior, but hogging and mugging the camera, groping everyone's privates (even Derrick's), and saying awful things like wanting 2 of the guys to "double-team Victoria and take all her virginities." Even if he was saying it as a joke, rape is NOT a funny subject. All these things are just the tip of the Frankie iceberg!!

No matter how CBS tries to slice it, Frankie is AWFUL and CBS has been catering to his whims at every turn.

monty924 said...

Silk, I think Cody and someone else in there have figured out that it will be at 5:45 on Wednesday (they don't know yet that the Live eviction will be on Wednesday instead of Thursday and it will start at 5:00 and not 6:00). If it is at that time, they certainly will go through with the voting and then that leaves time to REWIND and play a new HOH. That is of course if their calculation is correct.

Petals, I just don't get her hatred of Donny. She even said she's not looking forward to seeing anyone in jury but Hayden and Nicole. I hope Zach is tormenting her relentlessly :)))

monty924 said...

Anon 4:38, Sharon is spot on with her description of the Frankie that we see on the feeds. It's my honest belief that so much of his "bad character" had already spread beyond the 'CBS only viewer' that they had no choice but to start showing his 'TRUE character' on the CBS show.

BB is really two entirely different shows. You have the feeds (and BBAD together) and then you have the television show. Frankie got a very good edit all summer long, but he's beyond that tipping point now with his disgusting jokes and his constant and practically sexual harassment behavior in there. JMO

Becky said...

Sharon, good reply as to why we all dislike Frankie. 'nuff said on the subject.

monty924 said...

* beyond the live feed viewers

When TMZ puts the evidence out there, it's hard for CBS not to show the real deal FJG

Petals~Does CBS really own the Grande's? Seems like it but with Scooter Braun as her manager I did not know. I thought some recording company owned her. She is a manufacted artist. Not just a good singer being authentic. She is being marketed big time.
Not like the days of Carol King and Billy Joel. Grande is totally made up and told how to walk and talk and how to dress, as in>>>>little as possible!!
Anyway...If CBS does own "them" it makes me even sicker about this tragic season.

uncartie said...

Anon 4:38, You ask "why do you have such a hate for Frankie and dislike for everything he says and does?"

I dislike him because he's not a real life contestant like Donny a groundskeeper,Derrick a police officer,Nicole a nursing student,or Zach a goofy unemployed college grad.,etc.

He's a professional entertainer and micro celebrity who has been mugging for the camera the entire show and is using it as a vehicle to promote himself and his pop star sister. He's as phony as those over the top facial expressions and dance spins that he constantly does.

I watch BB to to see real people with everyday jobs from all walks of life, not a washed up showman who claims he doesn't "hang around with normal people". He belongs on something like "Dancing With the Stars"except that he's probably so far down on the celebrity pecking order that they probably wouldn't even want him.

Petals said...

Anon 4:38 ~

I don't think any of us "hate" Frankie. For myself, I can say I am definitely weary of him. He seems to be a caricature of a flamboyant gay, ie the pink, the tippy-toes, the constant sex talk. Much of that does't even bug me as much as his awareness that this game is already HIS. The "missions" geared toward him. The groceries - all on HIS list (and only his list).
But I don't hate Frankie. He is entertaining, IMO (tho not as much as HE thinks he is). Believe me, Anon - the Crust's evil soul and Caleb's Spool of Lies (tm) are also irritating.
Were you trying to be provocative?

Sharon N said...

Between BB-15 and BB-16, the "show" we've enjoyed for so many years is going to he!! in a hand-basket.

That so-called TA mission is going to be a piece-of-cake for FJG and Derrick to accomplish tonight.
Everyone has been sleeping ALL DAY, so it's going to be way too easy for the TA "team" @@ to keep the others up searching for 'the rodent' until that 6:00AM deadline.
CBS needs to get a pie-in-the-face for that incredibly stupid TA mission.

Feeds & BBAD natives are restless and very close to a mutiny!!!

Petals said...

PS -

Whoever asked do I think 'CBS owns" the Grandes. YES. Not directly, of course.
What I meant is that Ariana's record company is a subsidiary of Viacom, which is owned by CBS. Frankie skirt-tails on Ariana. They "share" a manager (tho she has several that aren't tending Frankie).
Yes - Frankie winning is absolutely in the best interest of CBS.
That's my opinion. I could be wrong.

monty924 said...

Speaking only for myself, Caleb is much funnier and entertaining now that Amber is gone and his stalker personality in the house went out the door with her. I LOL (literally *wink*) when he goes on one of this 'story' telling jags. He's more entertaining than Cody, Derrick and Frankie rolled up into one. Victoria is even more entertaining than Derrick and Cody. Who woulda thunk it? :)))

And speaking of Victoria, wouldn't be hilarious if she won the veto and not Cody. I know proabably not happening. It would force Frankie to put up Caleb or Derrick. His "two" boys in the house. Hmmm

Petals said...

Sharon N said...

Agree Monty. With Amber gone, Caleb changed from creepy stalker to an unintentional funnyman. Some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is so funny. :D
The stunned looks on Derrick's and Cody's faces when he was talking about Donny being a Rainman-like genius with a 150+ IQ was absolutely hysterical. When he described Donny as, "When you're that smart, you have to be thinking all the time... even when you're not thinking," it was priceless. No clue how Cody and Derrick managed to keep a straight face!

monty924 said...

I know, Sharon. Hysterical! :)))

Donny absolutely loves BMC and it is soundly because of his 'story' telling. The Jeff loops where Donny is helping him set up the clips are so funny. We need more of that because it always gets boring this time of the season, but even more so this season because it has been boring with all the predictable evictions.

Petals said...

I wish we could picket CBS to show the Jury House feeds!

(I am about to die right now, Roger is down...comeback unlikely. NOOOO!!!)

monty924 said...

Sorry about that, Petals. :(((

I think they will have a good jury house package on Wednesday (the new Live time). Julie always sets that up so we only see it on the live shows. They have to do it this week for sure with so many in there. We haven't seen one since Jocasta, Hayden and Nicole.

Anonymous said...

Thank you Petals~~I did not know that>>VERY interesting. Now I see exactly what is going on and its not my imagination.
Sucks!
Love for you to explain that to the houseguests. Wouldn't that be just dandy.

Anonymous said...

I don't like Frankie for the simple reason that he's a vulgar, lewd, sexually obsessed man who doesn't seem to have any personal limits or respect for anyone else's. He's a pervert who talks incessantly about sex: partners, practices, toys, experiences, organs, urges, etc. If he was a heterosexual man who treated the female houseguests like Franking treats the men, people would be up in arms.

Jackie S. said...

Petals - Last year you were just as sure that Amanda was a friend of Grodner's and it was all rigged for her to win.

They've had more negative publicity over Frankie than positive. If he wasn't as good at comps and surrounded by idiots, he would have already been gone.

Don't buy the hype. It happens every year ...

That would be really late into the live show for the reset to happen since they moved up the start time to 8:00 on eviction night. They would not have time to do a week in a day type eviction night. I wonder if someone forgot about the show being moved up an hour but got the day correct.

monty924 said...

David, that is only if you are assuming they will do it all in one night. I don't think so. I think the show will play out like every normal Thursday show (not DE) and will end with a new HOH being crowned. There is still time to fit it all in because the show doesn't end until September 24th.

David said...

You are right Monty. I was just going by their schedule but they can always change things up. Maybe do a shortened week.

Wed, Sept 10, 8PM ET/PT – Live Eviction show – F4 revealed
Sun, Sept 14, 8PM ET/PT – Nominations episode
Tue, Sept 16, 8PM ET/PT – Power of Veto episode
Wed, Sept 17, 8PM ET/PT – Live Eviction show – F3 revealed
* Fri, Sept 19, 8PM ET/PT Sun, Sept 21 – F3 episode – Final HoH Rounds 1 & 2
Wed, Sept 24, 9:30PM ET/PT – Season finale – 90 minutes

David said...

gooooo Victoria. LOL =) If she does win the veto that will be a shame because of the reset.

monty924 said...

David, I just looked and there won't be a Sunday (21st) episode, so I guess it will be a non-evict them HOH, noms, POV and evict on Wednesday. Otherwise there would have to be a Live to tape in there somewhere if we still have 5 at the end of Wednesday night.

Okay, it is the most twisted summer ever, LOL. I think they just messing with us! :)))

monty924 said...

*just like messing with us

monty924 said...

Derrick, I agree about Vic winning the veto but it would force Frankie to reveal who his real F2 is between Derrick and Caleb. That's good stuff going into a fake eviction. *wink*

David said...

I think that information might be revealed if cody or Victoria wins the Veto. Of course he is going to say you are just a pawn to the replacement, but it may make them think about where they really stand and if they want to do something about it.
