Big Brother 16: Live Feeds into Tuesday - September 23

Derrick packs for the first time on the show

What? There are still hamsters in the house? Here's what's been going down in that Big Brother House of Prolonged Misery:
  • Lots of pool playing. I mean LOTS of it.
  • At least that's a bit better than watching them play chess.
  • Of course, the pool players are Derrick and Cody. Victoria has rarely played all summer.
  • She's barely played the game of Big Brother, either.
  • Cody is the only one exercising. He runs, lift weights, does sit-ups and crunches. He needs to regain his manly figure.
  • Derrick has alternately been teasing Victoria about "knowing the real me" and "you don't know the real me."
  • Derrick got his suitcase for the first time all summer. He found a pack of cigarettes he had bought to use to schmooze with if there had been smokers in the house.
  • He scared Victoria by telling her he was a smoker.
  • He's not.
  • They're all excited about seeing their families.
  • Victoria told the guys that she can't talk to them after Sundown on Tuesday because of Rosh Hashana.
  • They're probably relieved.
  • Cody wants BB to give them the comic page art from that comp. I don't blame him. I'd want mine if I were in there!
  • BB gave them a small amount of booze. Cody was thrilled.
  • Cody wants to become friends with fellow Jersey BBer, Enzo.
  • The Meow Meow and Model Boy. Hmm.
  • Derrick and Cody were glad there were no racist incidents in the house this season like last year's debacle.
  • I said debacle.
  • They didn't.
  • They'd probably think I'm a college professor at Harvard if they heard me using the word.
  • Victoria has calmed down a lot.
  • Derrick has told her plenty of times that, by getting her as far along as he could, it had been up to her to win comps to further herself.
  • That's about it.

Prone to loud outbursts of joy

Is sure Derrick will win it all

Good morning, Jackie. Is your stacation over? How terrible that you had to use it to watch such a boring show. Fortunately Christine was gone and you didn't have to listen to her laugh, watch her pick her feet, then put her hands in her mouth. Also, not a lot of Frankie to see.

uncartie said... Re Scooter Braun. Another fascinating coincidence is that he apparently is very involved in a charity that builds schools in Africa and elsewhere... He also has ties to Israel and is a conservative Jew. Anyone wanna bet that he may have had a hand in getting Victoria on the show as a favor to someone in her family? I can think of no other reason that would have qualified her to be cast. She exhibited no real knowledge of the show, isn't athletic, and has no talent. What reason could they possibly have had to cast her?

Uncartie, I think you just hit the nail on the head as to why she was selected and have answered a question so many of us have raised, how in the world did Victoria get on this show? She is a sweet kid, but them doing this borders on abuse (IMHO) She has none of the qualifications needed to compete on a show like this. Thank goodness he didn't get her on Survivor or Amazing Race!

Here we go>>Heading into the scripted finale. Interesting how Joan Grande put support towards Zach and Donny about 8 hours before voting closed. PR PR PR Does she think people are really that stupid. She must know everyone dispised FJG. I mean big time. He IS the worst ever! IMHO!
Win Victoria Win. Thats the only way to a perfect ending to the worst ever ever ever BB season.

If we were to combine a list of the worst ever, FJG would certainly be on that list. However, I contend the racism and nastiness of BB-15 ranks up there... and was also touted as "the worst ever."

Of course, it all depends on a person's perspective, but in my view, BB-15's crew ranked right up there, and they surpassed or, at a minimum, equaled FJG's behavior.

BB-15 was so appalling that Aaryn, GinaMarie, and Amanda all lost their jobs!!! I would have added Spencer, but don't remember if he actually ended up fired from the railroad.

Anon 1:34,Yes BB 15 had some appalling characters but they ALL played the game. Big moves were made. This year they didn't. Instead they played follow the leader, never rock the boat and everyone votes the same way.

BB15 was much better. In 16 years I've never reached the end stages of the game where I didn't give a hoot who wins other than Donny winning fan favorite..

More on Scooter Braun & Victoria possible connection:
"In fact, Bieber even has a Jewish connection: He was discovered (on YouTube) and promoted to stardom by his agent, Scott "Scooter" Braun, a 28-year-old born to a Conservative Jewish family in Connecticut with many relatives in Israel."

Funny, but I think us diehard posters til the end always forget how much we ragged on and hated the previous cast. All in all I've enjoyed this season and all the hamsters (with the exception of Frankie at times). We didn't have the gross antics and the racism this season and I appreciated that. While some are hating on this season, I think it has been a great one. We all had something to complain about with the *boring factor, *Christine, and *Frankie. What more entertainment could you ask for?

:))) See everyone tomorrow evening for the Survivor premiere and the BB Finale! *sigh* I'll need that BB rehab facility.

I am ready for the season to end as I need to get my sleeping habits back in order.

I will be bored come friday after watching/reading all the articles/interviews.

just about 300 more days until the bb fever begins.

I have to wonder if we will ever have another allstar game.

I read an article this morning with Julie Chen saying that there will never be a million dollard winner as long as BB is a summer reality show. There is no budget for that. I don't think I could keep up with two seasons a year.

Oh who am I kidding I would still watch and read all info like i do and have done for years.

LOL @ Chacha. I don't think I could do two BBs in one year, at least not now. Years ago, maybe! I also look forward to getting my sleeping patterns back to normal and I know my better half will appreciate after this week is over. :)))

Thanks for posting that link Monty!
I wonder if they'll show any of the round table Wed night.
If they do, you know it will be probably be rather short. :(
Too much else to accomplish in 90 minutes.

They always show the Jury Round Table on the finale. I can't wait because it looks like in the one pic that BMC is arguing with Frankie, lol. Just little things at this point make me happy, LOL!

Looking forward to the show.

The jury footage always shows how bitter the houseguests are. Frankie looks especially bitter. Donny doesn't though! Guess that's his class shining through... Looking forward to seeing him receive America's Favorite tonight :)

I googled Rosh Hashana and I don't see why Vic can't talk.. anyone know enough to share.. thank you

THIS IS UTOPIA

Will someone tell me about Victoria's eating habits? Or why she has lots of doctor appointments coming up?

uncartie said...

Anon 8:52 and 10:38,There is nothing in the Jewish faith that prevents talking on Rosh Hashana or any other Jewish holidays that I am aware of.
We have a lot of nutty restrictions but that ain't one of them :)

Her eating habits? I'm wondering if
in her real life she follows Kosher dietary restrictions and was just doing her best to try and follow them in the BB house, which btw, would be impossible.

In closing, let me save you all a lot of time and explain all Jewish holiday celebrations in a nutshell:

They tried to kill all of us
They didn't succeed
Let's Eat!! :)

Witt,
I believe it's going to be a close race between Donny and Zack. A lot of BB Alum seem to be voting for Zack (including Rachel), which 'might' be bad news for Donny.

Ok, I got a chuckle out of this "30 seconds into the Jury Roundtable" picture:

uncartie, that is hilarious about the holidays.
NONE of my Jewish friends have "speaking" restrictions on high holy days, but none of them are Orthodox either.

I'll be disappointed if AFH goes to someone other than Donny. :( I'm glad to see the season over though (as much as it is to chat with all of you). Once school begins again, it's time for the season to be done! These last 5 days draw the season out SO MUCH.

Sasha said...

Uncartie is right; there are no restrictions on talking on the high holidays...even among Orthodox Jewish people. The only thing I can guess (and it is purely a guess) is that she may just want to be in prayer and dealing with the thoughts and purpose of the holiday rather than dealing with "everyday" stuff. Still a little strange that she said she can't talk to them. From what I've read and heard, she does observe Kosher restrictions and again, Uncartie said it well in that she was probably doing the best she could under the circumstances in the BB house.
Unfortunately for this (not too observant) Jew, I will have to watch the finale on DVR at a later date since the holiday starts tonight! Have fun at the pool party! Donny for AFP! :)

uncartie said...

Sasha,I think you're right. This quite possibly could be the first time in Victoria's life that she has not been with her family on the High Holidays, and thus may be having feelings of guilt.

This not-at-all observant Jew will be sitting in front of the TV tonight cursing at FJG's face time with Julie, hoping that BMC somehow makes a fool of himself, and that Donny wins AFP so I don't throw something at the screen. :)

I love that last few comments on here. She did talk with them last night when she would take a break from reading and praying. Unc, your 11:58 am post cracked me up. Put a smile on my face and this isn't an easy thing to do on this day every year since 2010.

Love my BB peeps. See you all over at the pool later.
