The Amazing Race 25 - November 7 Blog Party

Good evening, folks! Ready to race? Er, let me rephrase that ... ready to party? Ah, much better.

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll update this entry with the major happenings. Refresh the page to get the latest! As always, the real party is in the comments area. I hope to see you there!

Here's the latest update on the blog pool from the Magnificent Margo --

Adam & Bethany - chrob61, Kathy in Brooklyn, Kelsey NY, Zoetawny
Brooke & Robbie - Caela, Sharon, Sharon N, Willie J
Kym & Alli - Brenda, meb, Nicklepeed, Rochelle, Terry in TX
Maya & Amy - Ed in OH, Karen in CA, Lynn1, Margo
Misti & Jim - Cheryl in NC, Laurie, ML, OrkMommy
Tim & Te Jay - Babs, Brent McKee, Dusty, Monty924,

Sorry you have been PHILIMINATED
Lisa & Michelle - Becky, Delee, dla, Donna in AL
Dennis & Isabelle - Auntie Leigh, Brian, David, Donna NY, sanra
Michael & Scott - Donna in FL, Glenn, Jackie, Marlo
Keith & Whitney - Jean, Jennasmom, Nana in NW, PDXGranny
Shelly & Nici - Buzzmaam, Merrilee, Rbennie, SueGee

Are we ready? GO!

Starting out in Morocco, they're flying to Sicily. The dentists have found a flight which will get them in at 8pm. The cyclists book the same flight. Kym and Alli decide the dentists are TeamNoFun.

They dance the night away and leave at set intervals. The cyclists were working with the dentists. Only due to need, of course. It's not like they like them or anything.

Roadblock - They have to race cool go-carts! Brooke and Robbie can't find a taxi to get there. After they complete the Roadblock, they're off in coo classic cars to meet up with their partners.

Detour - Painters - restore a fresco. Posers - listen to ten opera singers, writing the characters and operas on a board. Only four teams can do the painting, the more popular task. The scientists have to head over to the opera task. Robbie and Brooke already decided to go for that one.

Sigh. The dentists are on their way to the Pit Stop. The cyclists are just behind them.

The 300th leg Pit Stop -
1. Jim and Misti ... won another trip.
2. Kym and Alli

Brooke/Robbie and Maya/Amy worked together on the opera task (which is actually easier than the painting) and finished. The opera task was actually remembering the costumes in order.

3. Maya and Amy
4. Broooke and Robbie
5. Adam and Bethany
5. Te Jay and Tim ... non-Philimination leg ... they're still in the race!

Hello Jackie, and everyone who shows up. Looks like half way through this season and people still can not get used to the Friday night AR. =))

Hello, David! It seems to be dropping off each week. :(

Tried to watch online with you but browser crashed as usual. Guess I will just have to wait for another 45 minutes. =)
Saw the pre-view during Survivor. Driving those carts looks like fun.

Hang on David and Jackie. I here. Missed last week because I was in SA celebrating our daughter-in-laws 50th birthday. Funny story, my bright attorney son over ordered the Margaritas. (The dinner was catered.) They informed up that everyone had to drink ten of them! They ended up freezing half of it for the Thanksgiving celebration.

Definitely seems too be a quiet party. I'm surprised Becky isn't here.

Ah, speak of Becky!

Hi Jackie, David (and anyone else)

Well I finally remembered it was indeed Friday night and TAR time. I sure hope they move this to a better time/day!

LOL Becky. And Hi =)

I haven't drank for years so I would not have been able to help get rid of the excess drinks.

Hi SueGee. =))

This does seem to be a bad day/time for the show. I seem to remember it being on Tuesday at one time before moving to Sunday.

Jackie S. said...

It was on Tuesdays for many seasons. The blog is falling off. I can't imagine the ratings aren't falling as well.

My thoughts too Jackie. Fridays nights for a long time have been the kiss of death. Thursdays would be nice.

I like Blue Bloods on Friday nights, but that seems to have an audience. TAR isn't a 10pm kind of show. But Sundays were horrible with delays.

I had to finish dinner. I couldn't wait for dessert. The mother of a young many who suffered a stoke that I help out by getting his coffee, bringing him treats is always cooking (especially when Tommy was in the hospital and first at home) a full meal for us so I didn't have to leave the hospita, go to the nursing home to feed Momma and then go home and cook for us. Tonight dessert was fresh peach strudel.

Blue Bloods and Shark Tank seem to have made Fridays their own.

Strudel sounds good to me! I really looked at the apple strudel bars before I passed on them. Too many for two people!!

David, I am not a heavy drinker. In fact I am known as a cheap drunk. I drank two and then started filling the glass back up when it wasn't empty. I probably had 4-5 glasses.... small glasses.

Which of these challanges would you have selected, painting or opera? I can draw a straight line and I can't carry a tune in a bucket.

I am tired of happy teeth winning so much.

David said...

LOL, I would have had problems with both of these. I can't sing, can't stand Opera, and have trouble painting even with paint by numbers. =) I am more mechanical, construction type. Built my whole house by myself including plumbing and electrical.

I'm a cheap drunk too! But a Margarita sounds so good tonight. At my age a tall draft is about it!

I think with only four teams allowed to paint and the idea of laying down painting up ... I might have tried for the opera. The opera turned out easier as it was memorizing the costumes, not the operas themselves.

Is Bethney in trouble? Since I got kicked off my floatie early and disliked the Mom/Daughter after they did the block on the young couple I decided to go with someone I really admire.

David said...

Oh noo, that means Tim and T'jay, Adam and Bethany are going to be the last 2 to the pit stop.

Jackie S. said...

They just finished before Te Jay and Tim.

SueGee said...

oh no...time for a non-elimination leg if you ask me

And, so it is, SueGee

They're all still in it.

David, if you ever have a chance go see the Red Neck Tenors. At least check them out on youtube. I promise you will find them fun.

Becky said...

Jackie, thanks for hosting. See you next week.

David said...

LOL. Glad it was a non-elimination. So if the Dentists finish last and use their save that would make 3 non-eliminations this season.

Thanks Jackie. =))

Everyone have a good evening. =)

If I heard correctly, no AR next week. Phil said in 2 weeks just before the pre-views. Just checked and yes, film awards show next week.

They seem determined to kill off AR.

I fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 9:00. Slept right through the race. :((

I watch all 3 CBS shows on Friday night and I love having something to watch on Friday. Thursday would not work as audience would bleed off for NFL games. Soon they will be on every night of the week.

I am also tired of the dentists. At this rate and with their pass they will be in the final 3. Except for that one non-elim week they have had no problem sailing through.
