Survivor: Worlds Apart - March 11 Blog Party

Survivor fans ready?

As the show airs here on the East Coast, I'll be posting the major happenings in live time here on this entry. Refresh the page to get the latest news! As you all know, the real party is in the comments -- I hope to see you there!

The Lovely Lifeguard Laurie is once again running the blog pool (thank you!) Here's the latest --

Blue Collar
Dan - Brian, CherylinNC
Kelly - Petals, Ed in Ohio
Lindsey - Donna in FL, David
Mike - meb, Nickelpeed
Rodney - Margo
Sierra - Jennasmom

No Collar
Hali - Zoetawny, monty924
Jenn - Merrilee, Becky
Joe - SueGee, Chris
Nina - Lynn1
Will - Rbennie

White Collar
Carolyn - Jackie TerryinTX
Joaquin - Laurie, Rochelle
Max - PDX Granny, Marlo
Shirin - NanaintheNW
Tyler - Donna in Alabama, ORKMommy

Out!
So
Vince - Delee

Okay, it's on with the show we will go!

Nina knows she's a target and makes things worse for herself. Joe is now leery of Will because Will didn't go with the plan at the last Tribal. Over on WC, Shirin got a bit too excited about seeing howler monkey sex. The boys on BC seem to be going for testosterone issues. NC girls are surfing on driftwood and Joe's giving Nina pep talks.

Gee, looks like they're pulling at straws for filler this week.

WC is all about searching for the idol -- which Carolyn already found long ago. On BC, Mike with the forever hoarse voice is thinking he's the only one who ever does anything. Rodney is clashing with Mike. Whoa! One of the gals really called him out. Good.

Huh. The show is over half-over and the Immunity Challenge is beginning. Each tribe carries large bucket to water tower, fill it, race to their barrel while trying to keep the water from leaking out holes. Massive comfort reward -- chairs, blankets, pillows, etc. Second prize, tarp.

It's weird; Nina isn't really participating although she's participating. NC is trailing, too.

Blue Collar wins! White Collar comes in second and No Collar will go to Tribal Council.

Things are not looking good for Nina. She wants to push Will out instead. Jenn and Hali seem to be really leaning towards a Will ouster. At TC, Nina backstabs Will from the front! Heh.

The tally:
Nina, Will, Will, Nina, Nina.

Nina is gone. She'll never be able to prove she can fit in with the No Collars. That just might not be such a bad thing.

Next week is a two hour show!

Hey Jackie and everyone... in honor of this beautiful weather, I fired up the grill. Burgers, dogs, brats are over by the bar with all the fixin's

I think everyone is loving this weather. I think it's just us

Hi, Monty! I'm sure others will be along. I hope so, anyway!

Hello!!!

Gary came home from hospital a coupla hours ago. I have nothing to offer as far as nibbles or libations, but I did snag a few rice krispie treats from the snack room. LOL

Petals said...

It is like 78 or so here, and I hate it. I hate it being so warm so quickly, turning the heat/AC on & off...
*grumpity grumpy grump*

Jackie S. said...

Hey, Petals. I hope he's doing okay!

Nickelpeed said...

Just checking in to say hi. Just leaving work, but I'll be driving so won't be able to comment. Thank you, Jackie, for blogging!

He is actually doing very well, compared to last time (when it was a trauma).
His new hip incision is smaller, neater, and he has so much more mobility.

Petals said...

Hey Penny! :) *waving*

monty924 said...

Great to hear Gary is home, Petals. Grab anything off the grill.

monty924 said...

Hi Penny...

lynn1 said...

Hi Everyone, I have Popeye's fried chicken, cole slaw, red beans and rice

monty924 said...

Why does every single thing strange in life have to taste like chicken? Just wondering because I had turtle one time and one time only. They kept telling me that it tasted like chicken. It didn't to me... yuck.

Petals said...

They wanted to keep him one more day, but tomorrow is his bday (and our anniversary), so he begged to be set free.

Thanks Monty! I'm less hungry than I am in need of something alcoholic.

How interesting that Nina happened to land in a tribe with an Ozzie knockoff, who also happens to know sign language! He was nice to her, too.

lynn1 said...

Monty I'll have one of those brats they are one of my favs

monty924 said...

Hey Lynn. Funny that you brought chicken. Do you think turtle tastes like chicken?

lynn1 said...

I have a bottle of pinot Grigio if any one wants some, also plenty of diet coke

lynn1 said...

No Turtle does not taste like chicken to me but frog legs do

monty924 said...

Petals, the bar is always stocked. I'm drinking a nice Riesling tonight.

monty924 said...

I've never had frog legs, but that is another one that people tried to get me to try. Maybe I will some day. :)))

lynn1 said...

Monty the idea of frog legs is gross but the taste if cooked correctly is devine

Petals said...

These men/boys bitch & bicker worse than a buncha women! Yeeps!

monty924 said...

Blue Collar is a hot mess tonight

Petals said...

OMG, speaking of turtles, did you guys see that vid on my FB wall of the turtle?
I was astonished, but not in a dirty, giggly way. I was just shocked, b/c I'd never seen...that...before. WOW

lynn1 said...

Petals hope Gary has a speedy recovery

Joe in NY said...

Hi folks

Petals said...

Gary loves frog legs. Ick. He also says that a bacon-wrapped dove breast is better than a NY Strip. Ick squared!

Petals said...

thanks Lynn (RTR)

JOE! How are the kids? How are you?

monty924 said...

I did, Petals and I've been meaning to send you a message all day about it, but kept getting off on another chore. I have a really funny story to tell you about a certain turtle whistle, LOL

Joe in NY said...

Best wishes to Gary.

monty924 said...

Hey Joe!

Joe in NY said...

Monty,

The "chicken" thing is because most exotic meats tend to be white meats. IMHO. So, since they don't taste like beef, people default to chicken. There is a visual component to taste. If it looks like chicken, you are prone to sense the taste of chicken.

lynn1 said...

I guess I am weird because I like a lot of strange meats/poultry/seafood/protein things that gross out other folks

Laurie said...

Hello everyone! Stopping in to check the pool and the snacks. Glad to see you are all behaving and taking care of everything. Will we have a blindside again this week? Stay tuned!

monty924 said...

I know, Joe... but all of my friends always go back to chicken and most of what I've tasted does not taste like chicken, LOL

Petals said...

Candles? Chairs? pillows? This is the Pier One challenge

monty924 said...

My ex was a big fan of snapping turtle and set traps and even 'noodled' for them. He said there were five different meats on the turtle and I would think it was chicken. NOPE!!

Joe in NY said...

I'm good, Petals.

The kids are fine. Andi is crazy, but she may be getting ready to go into heat.

monty924 said...

Well even with all the fighting, Blue pulled it out.

Petals said...

Monty - LOL. So you prolly have seen first-hand, what I'm talking about? hehee

Nina needs to go home!

monty924 said...

My girl's tribe heading to Tribal Council... fingers crossed

David said...

Hi everyone. =)

I have eaten turtle once and only once also. It was disgusting. lol

monty924 said...

Not personally but the story is a good one, Petals :)))

lynn1 said...

Nona is my pool pick I though she would go last week but she hung on. time will tell

Petals said...

Hi Dave! *wave*

~~Silk said...

I'm surprised nobody thought to tip the bucket. That way, the holes to be plugged are closer together, instead of all around the sides.

monty924 said...

Hey David, have to agree on the turtle. Once and only once.

Joe in NY said...

It would serve Will right for choosing the wrong side last week.

Joe in NY said...

Silk,

I don't think tipping the bucket would help. The holes were all around and low. If you tilted it enough to avoid some holes, you'd only be 1/2 full. IMHO

Petals said...

Oh, Joe made Nina hang back? My bad, I didn't know.

She doesn't desrve to leave then...

David said...

I am surprised NC will be down 2 players, WC down one and BC none. I thought the WC tribe were the ones that were going to crash and burn not the NC tribe.

Nickelpeed said...

Frog legs are pretty good.

monty924 said...

My Hali does have a voice

Petals said...

Joe is a real cutie, isn't he?

Petals said...

Oh gimme a break - there have been WAY MORE handicapped people on here. Heck there was that chick with one leg or something, she did fine.

monty924 said...

Aww, sorry to see her go

lynn1 said...

I'm kicked out.

Joe in NY said...

Joe, has always been a real cutie, Petals. I'm surprised it took you this long to notice. :)

lynn1 said...

Now I can be a fickle fan and cheer for a different person every week

Petals said...

Hali - yeah, I like her. (sorry, I am a few min behind)

Petals said...

I wonder if Nina thought she'd be on WHITE collar when she signed-up, and is a little mad that they put her with this tribe?

Joe in NY said...

I don't want to be unkind, but I'm kind of glad to see her go. Her constant whining about the supposed anti-disability prejudice really rubbed me the wrong way.

Don't get me wrong, I think Will was as deserving of leaving as anyone. But he didn't annoy me as much as Nina did.

David said...

Shame to see her go. She did not match up with that tribe anyway.

Thanks Jackie. =)

Everyone have a good evening.

Petals said...

Joe - You're right! ! I should know that ALL "Joe"s are adorable (yes, you!)

but yeah, I am a little surprised that it took me this long to notice Red Joe.

Jackie S. said...

Thanks for coming by ... next week two hours! Then I would think March Madness is going to knock us off for a week or two. I could be wrong.

monty924 said...

I agree with you Joe... just sorry to see her go.

Thanks Jackie for the coolest place to hang out and I promise no more talk of turtle/chicken next week. :))

See everyone later and Petals, I'm going to write up my story, LOL

lynn1 said...

Yeah Nina was a whiner. My Hubby wears hearing aids and has since he was about 9 years old. He sometimes misses parts of conversations but he doesn't made his deafness a the center of attention

lynn1 said...

Thanks Jackie. Night everyone

Petals said...

OMG ! ! One of my FB friends just posted , like 10 minutes ago, a pic of his grill, covered with frog legs.

Everyone has froglegs on the brain!!!???

thanks Jackie. I plan to start helping with pool supplies very soon.

Nickelpeed said...

Friday and next Wednesday, I'll be here! Yay.

If Mike continues his complaining, I will lose my pool pick. He needs to shut up! He is strong though.

Nickelpeed said...

As you can see, I'm watching it now. Why did Nina pull away? I knew Jeff was talking away, but Nina can not hear him. If you ask me, Will was not any better.

For all their arguing, Blue collar works well together.

Nickelpeed said...

Petals,

Prayers to Gary. Hope he heals well.

Nickelpeed said...

Also, talking about disabilities, remember the one woman who was on the same tribe with Jenna and Heidi? She was deaf and they bullied her all the time. These girls remind me of them. They do not want to add her in to anything at all. I feel sorry for Nina.
