Big Brother 17: Live Feeds into Monday - September 7

Needs to win HoH this week

Happy Labor Day, folks! Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Workin' It:
  • No brouhahas, no kerfuffles.
  • Vanessa went to bed early.
  • Liz and Austin secluded themselves for a long time leaving Julia to mingle with Steve and Johnny Mac.
  • Julia was surprised when Johnny Mac told her that he was losing money by being in the house.
  • She was thinking the stipend. For years it was $750 a week. I know in the past year or two it has been reported to have gone up to $1,000 a week. That would be gross, not net. That shouldn't be non-attainable for most college grads if they can get a job in the field in which they're qualified by degree. I guess if they're unemployed or underemployed, it's a lot. It's certainly not a fortune for a young dentist with huge college loans.
  • Aw, Julia misses James.
  • Maybe she'll see him in the jury house soon!
  • Liz and Julia each smoked a cigarette. Liz kept saying how dizzy she was afterwards.
  • Huh.
  • What was in that cigarette?
  • The twins think they get to decide which one goes to jury on Thursday.
  • Liz is thinking that Julia might be the better chance to stay.
  • Of course, they're assuming that the others will abide by their choice.
  • Austin told Liz that she should be the one to stay.
  • I guess we'll see what comes around when it comes around.
  • Maybe Steve will name Vanessa the renom.
  • BWAHAHAHAHA!
  • Like that would happen!
  • Vanessa told Austin that she thinks Steve would win if in the final two.
  • They all turned in relatively early for them.
  • Steve told us that he's skeptical of Vanessa, but the Austwins really need to be broken up.
  • It's a numbers thing, y'see.

Thinking of Liz and Austin?

The first ordinary tobacco cigarette after a while without will make you dizzy.

Silk is right.

It is totally a numbers thing. Once they get down to four, then they can go out on their own and think final two. Vanessa/Steve/JM need to get rid of the Austwins, period, to go further.

They do need to get a twin out. I think if john is HOH next week, Austin and Julia will be up with Vanessa as a renom.
All season we have heard John say he keeps throwing comps. I am not so sure most are thrown. I don't get why people love him so much. Maybe it's just me. I watch the feeds and he is pretty boring.

Witt,You're right about the numbers. That's why I'm convinced that Vanessa threw the HOH. She has alliances with both Jmac/Steve or Austwins. No matter who wins she has a 3/2 advantage.

I'm with you I just don't see all the love for John either he acts like an imbecile to me, always shouting and and talking nonsense, he could NOT be my dentist, does he take his job seriously, I know this is a game, but it's serious enough to have a $500k pay day. He is no way entertaining to me, he's just down right silly, his claim to fame a good comp thrower.UGH, I'm so sorry he got back into the game, James was so much more deserving and entertaining.

John did throw that last HOH. He had his last photo all completed but for the final block, and then he stopped and waited until Steve hit the buzzer. He throws them when it's to his advantage, which is not a bad strategy.

Yep, Silk is correct. JMac could have had his puxxle finished long before Steve, but stood there, with his back to his last puzzle piece, until he heard Steve hit the buzzer....and had a sneaky grin as he exited his comp space.

I guess if Vanessa should get evicted, it will be because she was just ready to leave LOL

^^^ puxxle? Shows what can happen when typing with one finger on a Nook!

Throwing the comp at the end was the smart move for Jmac. He knew he was safe since Steve is his ally. Now he can play for HOH next week. From here on out that is the correct strategy for all of them.

Anon 11:39,I feel the same way about Jmac. He needs a verbal makeover if he ever expects patients to let him near their teeth.

He was hilarious though on last night's show when he mocked the twins over the top gushing at Steve's HOH room. That to me was the funniest clip of the whole season.

I was cracking up over JMac last night.
One of the funniest DRs I've seen. Ever.

That'swhat I thought Silk. At first I thoigh...Wow, maybe someone got the winner wrong. JMac. Clearly hadthe picture right. Then all of the sudden Stevepushed his buzzer. JMac clearly threw the comp.

Penny - It was planned that if it was a mental comp, John would throw it to Steve. The thinking is that the next comp will be physical and, if John wins the mental one, he can't play in the physical one. It was a deliberate throw and fairly solid reasoning as Steve is weak in physical comps.

We could see that he threw it; could the other hamsters see that he threw it?

Jackie S. said...

No, they couldn't see it.

To get a break from the BB Jack-Cam Skinemax experience, I am watching CBBUK.
The season is over for me, and I tune in here for YOU guys and I chat @ CBS b/c I've made friends over there.
I wanted to love and believe in Johnny Mac. I think we all did. I have a sliver of hope; if he actually plays the game and stops cow-towing to Vanimal & the Hole, he may have a chance to win.

Such a depressing way to end this season.

Dan was great at throwing comps and it got him to the F2 and the win. His throw to Memphis in the final 4 veto was a hoot. He did basically what JMac did in the HOH. He had his steps completed but kept running up to the top to see where Memphis was at and held off until Memphis rang in. It's not a bad strategy.
