BB18: Live Feeds into Friday - September 9

Will his bro Corey turn on him?

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Buttery Buffoons:
  • As you know from my last post (go back and check it out if you haven't already), Corey easily won HoH.
  • Well, not "easily" per se.
  • But he just glided with those scoops of butter on the buttered track while everyone else struggled. No one was really close to him at all. Nicole and James did better than I thought they would at the comp. The butter comp showed Paul no friendship at all.
  • One thing I've noticed as we approach the final days of the season ... Corey has come to life. He's winning comps. I listened to him talk strategy with James in the late night hours and ... get this ... Corey actually has insight into the game and knows what's going on! And, he actually has a decent vocabulary!
  • After watching his vacant eyes and smile for most of the summer, this is a bit unsettling.
  • Maybe not unsettling. But I have to give the guy a lot more credit than I've been doing all season.
  • Victor seems to feel a bit put out that Paul did SO poorly in the comp.
  • Paul might be the worst performer I've ever seen in one of these slip and slide comps over the seasons. And, there have been some who were very bad at it.
  • James didn't want this HoH as his eyes are on the next one and, though his style was bad, for the longest time he had second place going.
  • But no one was close to Corey.
  • If I fell as much as some of them, I'd be hospitalized this morning. Nicole said the hill was higher in BB16 and every participant that season had to see the medic.
  • The others picked on Paul some because he's always bragged about his skating background (among other brags). Heh.
  • In talking about Natalie going, Paul claims her act was one to try to win America's Favorite Player.
  • Well, duh!
  • Paul and Victor seem to be scrambling a bit for favor from Nicole/Corey.
  • Paul said he's willing to be a pawn if they save him.
  • But surprise, surprise ... Corey told Nicole he'll be putting Paul and Victor on the block.
  • In a talk with James, Corey tells him they have his back.
  • Nicole told Corey he needs to tell James about the final four deal they made (and will break) with Victor and Paul before one of them tell him.
  • Nicole is actually frightened thinking of how Paul and Victor will react to the nominations.
  • Meanwhile, Paul and Victor talked about how sneaky James is.
  • Heh.
  • But Paul is certain James is going up on the block (and will get voted out).
  • It appears he just could be wrong!
  • Nicole started giving Corey all kinds of reasons to doubt James in the game.
  • What?!?!
  • Oh. She made an off-side comment about giving the show footage.
  • Nah, this isn't scripted. But she seems to know the show will not want to air boredom in nominations -- they want some mystery or doubt thrown in there!
  • The nominations should be Paul and Victor, with the target of Victor this week.
  • If they can't get Victor out, it will be Paul out.
  • Let's see how this goes down ...

Ew. My eyes! My eyes!

Who wants to see my HoH room?

Reading his letter from home

After we get Paul and Vic out, it's Nicole, you & me

Wow- thanks for that update Jackie!

Corey just shot up a few points in my book. He went from bottom-of-the-barrel to mediocre!! Let's hope he sticks to his guns and nominates Vic/Paul.

But this week (and next) the veto will determine who ends up on the block, so that remains to be seen.

Boy did Meech ever feel foolish showing that tape to the jury house- some superfan she is not to have picked up that she wasn't the target!

Good morning Jackie! Wow... Corey has been paying attention AND he isn't letting the "being one of the guys" influence him! He's going directly for the top players! Will be interesting to see how Paul and Victor handle this. My vote is for Paul to go home!

If he nominates Vic/Paul, I wish James would win veto, take one of them down and then they vote out Nicole. I know it will never happen, but one can dream.

GO HOME PAUL ANYTHING ELSE IS FINE. JUST GET RID OF PAUL.

Corey and Nicole want Vic out. Seems to me that Vic will try very hard for that veto. I kind of hope its a how bad do you want it.....

If I didn't dislike Corey so much (goat and fire stories), I'd be happy that his "vacant" look was apparently a clever act. On top of that, Nicole is going to be so mortified when she learns that Corey never cared anything about her....other than being his "useful" shield.

This may seem harsh, but I have very little respect for Corey and would rather cheer for anyone else to win... even Paul.

I'm with you Sharon N. I'm rooting for James, but anyone except Corey (or Paul, or Nicole). Oh well...

I am rooting for James, but if this was an act on Corey's part and he is now showing his true self he would deserve to win.

Get that veto Victor

I think that James had the right idea on the HOH. Had he won this one he would have gotten V/P, but would be wide open next wee and would have gone home. C/N have proven how "good" their loyalty was by their flipping and flopping. He can't count on them, only himself. Victor is the stronger player of the first set (or, really all of them) and has not ruffled the feathers as Paul has. I think James has a better chance of beating Paul. I was surprised that Corey and is "the lights on, but no one is home" act was apparently just that. I am still rooting for my pool person, James. Glad snot face nasty Nat is gone.

Judi Sweeney said...

Well, that's why they play the game... Flip-flopping is part of the BB game playing whether we like it or not... I would like to see Paul go and that has never changed!

What is interesting is how much most of us thought Corey giving Victor the ACP $5,000 was stupid and a waste... But, according to Victor (mentioned a couple of times) it was appreciated (smart move) and saved Nicole and Corey from being put on the block.

The game is to win $500k .............and now its down to the REALITY of WINNING!!!! Thinking of WINNING the VETO if you are on the block, and WINNING the HOH when it matters. Getting to the end and making the FINAL TWO hopefully with the one against you that the JURY will vote YOU the winner. END OF STORY. SHOWMAMANCE or not, Corey and Nicole), friends or not, Nicole and James, ALLICANCES or not, which will have been broken by now. THIS IS BIG BROTHER to win $500k!!!!
I agree with all the above comments mostly.Get rid of Paul, screw Nicole, and Corey coming alive.
I would be happy to see a F2 with Victor and James. Both could truly use the money for good use. Just think sadly think James would give some to dreaded Natlie and she would gladly take it and him to the bank until it ran out. Especially if he won the big one. So maybe not James the 500k in that case. Just hate to see Natlie get her hands on a lot of the money!
Hope to see better casting next year...........

Sarah - I think that by the time James receives his check, he will have seen the "real" Natalie, and that there is ZERO chance of romance. She didn't help him to the end, it was the other way 'round, so I hope he wakes-up and smells the coffee re Natalie.

Sadly, I think the person who will be MOST disillusioned, hurt & embarrassed when they leave the house is... Nicole! She's practically picking-out china patterns, while he is planning to ditch her within 30 hrs of leaving the house! OUCH

Natalie's interview with Jeff on the Aftershow. First 26 minutes is Natalie and then Jordan for the last half of the show.

Interesting, Monty. Thanks. She seemed to be trying to redeem herself on the James subject.

I couldn't watch the video, so guess you have to have an Access account?

I'm predicting that Victor will be calm after the noms, but Paul will bust a spring.

Petals said...

Hehehe... Vic & Paul arguing, because (of course) Paul knows everything. He is now a musician/artist.

I was just thinking, if James wins the money I bet little Miss Natalie will be after him for sure. If this true I pray James will tell her where to go and not being the nice guy he is. Just saying.

See, Mercury is in Retrograde until 9/22, so tensions are high, communications are muddy...
You all may have noticed it in your workplace(s), in traffic or even at, like, the market or wherever. It's a real thing.

Sharon N said...

Petals, tell me about it: Mercury Retrograde, tensions running high, and muddy communications. Speaking of muddy communications, I'm fighting CenturyLink again... that company is not good for my blood pressure! lol

I think you're right about Paul 'busting a spring' when he's Nom'd with Victor. Bet this is when we'll see their bromance start to fall apart. If Victor wins POV, we'll see Paul go ballistic. All his best-laid plans...

Sharon N said...

As expected, it's Vic/Paul OTB, and so far, it's Paul keeping his cool and Victor's the one having a hard time not going Rambo. Victor says he wouldn't have done it to them. Well, that's BB and it's what can make the difference between winning or losing.

Petals said...

I saw (read) that, Sharon. My poor baby! :( ♥

CBS is down on my end right now, grrr.

Sharon N said...

Yeah Petals, but gotta give Victor props. It just takes him a while to cool from the disappointment. When Paul started to slam James, Victor reasoned that James lost his partner and had to do what he had to do. And pointed out it as Nicole/Corey with the upper hand.

The thing that's crazy is all these people think they 'should have been told' before being put up, or out. Since when?

Petals said...

Paul is blaming the noms on James!

monty924 said...

Mine was down for a while right when the feeds came back. It's back up now.

monty924 said...

And now it's down again... grrrr

Petals said...

GRRRR...CBS live feeds are in & out (mostly out). And so much good drama is happening. :( And on this night-of-all-nights, that I am awake past 7pm!

First World problems, I do realize. *sigh*

Yah, you don't tell people ahead of time you are making a huge move! This week is going to be wild! Paul is handling it better because he knows that it is likely Victor going home if they both remain up there... Then he needs to team with someone! It was the right and gutsy move if you want to win!

monty924 said...

Agree Petals. Frustrating is putting it mildly. Friday night, don't have to get up early and a lot is going on and I have to read about it at Jokers. UGH
