BB19: Nominations Are In - July 28

This is just a quick update -- Paul went with his Plan A for nominations. Jessica and Cody are on the block.  Cody got angry, yelling at Paul. Paul yelled back at Cody. There were no fisticuffs and it didn't rise much about the level of a kerfuffle.

So, it's Jessica, Cody and Jason (due to the earlier comp) on the block. We still have to go through veto. If Jason saves himself, Paul cannot replace him.

WE know that the Halting Hex will likely stop everything on Thursday.

But Paul doesn't.

I had a feeling Paul (and the house) thought Jessica was lying. He'll be very surprised on Thursday.

So, Jackie, if Jessica uses her Halting Hex, does that mean it stops anyone from going home? They won't pick new people? They'll just go to HOH and start a new week with nobody going home for one week at all?

I can't wait to see all of their faces when she uses it. LOL

Paul is trying not to take chances on Jessica's hex... trying to work his magic on her... and his crew is helping. In reality, IF Jessica was smart (and wants the $$), she'd let Cody get evicted and save the Hex for herself. She will probably use it though (guilt).

Ramses knows what happened after he was evicted so he's back home with the Battle Back folks. Jeff let him know what the vote count was and that Paul won the HOH. The ones evicted now don't appear to be coming back.

If Jessica uses the hex, the eviction is null but a new HOH will be crowned/key'd, lol. Paul won't play in it as outgoing HOH.

She can halt an eviction during the live show, making it a non-eviction night. So that means any one on the black will not go home. Paul will waste his HOH. I think that is why she put the bait out there about her alternative facts about her temptation. And now since he took it Paul will look like boo boo the fool. Lol

uncartie posted this on the previous post. I can't resist bringing it over....

"I've officially come under Paul's spell. The guy is either a genius or these are the dumbest
House guests ever"

Uncartie, Welcome to the DARK SIDE!! :)))

Sharon, you're on right on money up there. I didn't see you comment until now. She should let Cody go and play her own game.

Why Jessica and Cody are arguing or fighting over this week is beyond me. She has a power to keep them both safe. Use it and move on to next week. They are playing like newbies and people who don't know this game (and they don't)! This is what got them in this place. They worked on the relationship outside of the house and didn't consider the game inside the house.

Big Brother.... the best social experiment ever.

In my view, Cody is not only a bit of a chauvinist. The military guy who brags about hoe many people he's killed thinking it makes him look strong. Adding to that, he feels with all his worldly experience, it's only right for him to control everything. He is always right ya know. The problem with his inflated ego is that Jess has the better gut-feel for the game. Every time she has let Cody toy with his man-card, it all goes wrong.

Cody tells Jess exactly how he is as a person "in and out of the house" and makes it plain he won't be adjusting.
Jessica: run as far and as fast as you can!!

I think Cody has small man syndrome. I think he projects to make himself seem bigger. I laugh every time they show him bullying the guys. Like when he was basically threatening Jason about his vote. He's like a foot shorter than these people.

Sharon N,

Jessica CAN'T not use the hex and let Cody get evicted unless Jessica is off the block from POV. Paul's not dumb (annoying, not dumb). If she stays up there opposite Cody, he'll evict HER to get the Hex out of the game.

And, frankly, no one in Paul's Cult has ever shown they are willing to work with even just Jessica. If she trusts Paul at all right now, she's a fool...or another Paul Cultist in the making.

Very unfortunate that Paul can't compete in the replay HOH if the hex is used. Without him seeing it coming, it'll be hard for him to plan ahead (work his magic) like he did for this one. Weird that everything going on now until Thursday, including the POV, could Just be wasted.

Joe, but doesn't Jess have 1 or 2 more evictions where she can choose to use the hex? If that's correct, she doesn't have to use it this this time. Boy, that would really throw Paul if she didn't.. and then sprung it on them later!!

Cody's emotions were all over the map last night...saying Jess should just let him go. Basically, Cody is only happy when he/Jess are HOH...the rest of the time, he's sulking.

JMO, but everyone (except Mark) wants Cody out...again. Nobody seems to be looking at getting her out... right now. So, she could choose to hold onto the hex and use it for herself later, but she will use it anyway.

Paul spoke to Xmas who still has the power of that ring and can use it. so who holds more Power? Jess or Xmas? Xmas is going to use it. Paul was a master in breaking up two couples last night without evicting them. He's SO good at this game. I'm really impressed that he took a few pages from Derrick's game. MISTING!! They were memorizing weather reports all night and Paul as well as Elena both nailed them for today's VETO competition. This show just went to a new level and I'm thrilled. Get the live feeds everyone. It's worth 5 bucks a month. BTW this is my first post this season. Take care and thank you Jackie for your tireless effort in making this site happen. BRAVO.

Sharon,You're spot on with your assessment of Cody. Jess, however is not that much better a player than Cody. When she doesn't get her way she whines. I suspect that she's skated a lot through life on her looks and that doesn't work here. In fact it could be a handicap.

Thanks for the welcome to that Dark Side,Monty :)

uncartie,
You're right about Jess. She has probably skated by on her looks. But she does seem to have a better 'feel' for the game than her guy. Unfortunately, Cody is her partner in crime, and he has always insisted he's right, so she's caved and changed her decisions. That hasn't worked out well.

Jess is more sociable in the house w/o Cody and people did like her. She might be in a better position if she'd just dump Cody now... rather than waiting for later (outside the house). Either way, she won't win, but dumping him could get her farther. There are other meat-shields (Josh, Mark, Elena) who will probably be voted out before her. No doubt, she feels cornered now because of her choice to pair with Cody, so if necessary and depending on how the Veto comp turns out, she'll still use the Hex.

Mark is the very definition of floater, but he's a bad floater by making his choices so "out there" noticeable. He was with Cody/Jess until Cody was evicted. Then dog-paddled over to Paul. As soon as Cody returned, Mark grabbed Paul's duck-ring and paddled back to Cody.
