BB19: Live Feeds into Wednesday Evening - August 16

You too can be EXTREME

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Despotic Dictators:
  • I'm so ready for the double eviction.
  • I think the hamsters are, too.
  • Raven's been fussing for days that she never gets called to the Diary Room.
  • When they finally called her, she yelled, "They do love me! They do love me."
  • Um. No. I bet they don't.
  • They probably were just tired of hearing her whine about not being called.
  • It's getting to Mark that Christmas is so possessive of things like the food in the house, down to slop and slop cookies. He says she yells and gets too agitated about it.
  • Hmm. If I recall right from more than a few instances, Mark inhales food like he's breathing fresh air. He eats ten to twelve eggs every morning for breakfast. Once the house ran out of eggs until the end of the week because of his breakfasts.
  • I'm not saying Christmas should be yelling about him eating stuff.
  • I think I'm saying I'd hide food to make sure I had enough to eat if I lived with him and limited amounts of food.
  • Christmas is suspicious because Kevin gets called into the Diary Room so often.
  • Maybe it's because his take is more interesting than most?
  • Elena told Mark that she questions Josh's intelligence.
  • I think I question the intelligence, or at least common sense, of anyone who goes in the house for a season. Unless it's a kid like Ramses who was like a child in a candy shop, it's just not the kind of thing that attracts level-headed folks for the most part.
  • Instead, we watch and are happy that we're smart enough not to be in there!
  • Christmas is very worried that she's projecting poorly with all the arguments and her fans (pre-show from her books and exercise stuff) are not going to be happy.
  • Then stop it.
  • Alex also claims that she's not a fighting kind of person.
  • Gee, I wonder what this particular BB house would be like if they got in people with really quick tempers! It would probably be blocked off with crime scene tape by now.
  • Jason told Paul that Mark told him he wants to get Paul out.
  • Well, duh. I would bet Paul already had a clue about that.
  • Paul is getting tired of Mark, Elena, Matt, Raven and Kevin.
  • Yep, a hit list!
  • Surprisingly, he might put Raven at his least liked. Maybe if he wins HoH, he'll get her out!
  • Paul hinted to Matt that if Mark wins HoH, he (Paul) won't be the target -- he thinks Mark will target couples.
  • Isn't Mark part of a couple? I see where Paul wants to make Matt nervous, but that whole thing doesn't make sense to me.
  • Meanwhile, Josh is sure Mark will target him. After all, Mark has told Josh that he can't stand living with him.
  • Still lots of talk about Elena and Mark working with Cody.
  • No brouhahas today.
  • Nor any real kerfuffle.
  • I think they're in a holding pattern until after tomorrow night.

Listening to advice ... or not.

Don't make me yawn, Cody!

The bags are bigger than she is!

There's a lot of stuff that could come back on Paul if they ever manage to get together and compare stories. As much as I like Paul's game or rather how he's playing the game, I honestly doubt he makes it to the end unless he wins HOHs and Vetos the rest of the way out. He's too big of a target and eventually even Jason, Mark, Matt or even Kevin will realize that.

Personally, I'm rather glad Alex got the camping punishment.
It was kind of nice to see someone in that 'gang' have their balloon deflated.

Elena shouldn't have made the comp agreement with Alex, but she knows they are targeting her, so it really doesn't matter if she made Alex mad. The group would have been yelling at Elena with or without taking the 5k anyway.

Quite a few people in the house could stand a good spanking. I've never seen such a gaggle of mean-spirited people constantly attempting to start fights... for no apparent reason... other than their 'joy' of making someone miserable.

Let's hope they can figure it out sooner than later Monty! Thanks Jackie! Love your wit!

Darn it. I'm going to miss the double eviction. I hope tonight is not as busy as last night. I didn't get to check the posts until late. I hope I get to check tonight. And, I work next Wednesday and Thursday, too. The week after, Wednesday. So at least Sept. 7, I'll get a chance to see the the eviction.

At least I'll be able to join everyone Sunday.

Jackie,I'm with you...Can't wait for double eviction tonight. It will be like a game reset and I'll have to find a new hamster to hate on. Oh wait...Hark Hark...It's Mark. :)

I think Kevin is being called into the diary room because production is concerned about his overall mental health. He misses his family and it's taking a toll on him. He's cried in the house and I'll bet he's completely broken down in the DR.

Paul is a Catch 22 player this season. Everyone wants him out, because none of the remaining people are players, just sheep followers. However, Paul is the only one that is playing, and I suppose making this season interesting with all the manipulating he does. If he goes, all we have left are a bunch of duds. It's a horrible cast, probably has surpassed bb15 at this point, or close to it. SMH. Until Grodner and her cronnies go, and we get an injection of new innovation into this game, I'm afraid we will continue to see seasons like this in the coming seasons. I remember last year, Les Moonves even took a shot across the bow at Grodner by voicing publicly his displeasure with the cast. At this point, I can only assume Grodner's friendship with Julie is the only thing keeping Fly on the Wall productions in business.

Our youngest just left for college and can't watch the show when it airs so has been reading some recaps of the feeds somewhere. This season has been making me sad for some reason and she mentioned yesterday that a previous player had blogged or tweeted or something that it isn't game play or strategy when you are attacking a player who is already leaving. It's just mean. I can understand spreading false info, or massaging details to make someone a target, but seems like this group really gets pleasure from confrontations and making others feel small. As though the POINT is to "break" someone rather than be the last guy standing. I've watched many years and don't recall the show making me feel so icky about how they treat others. I'm really hoping the double eviction shakes some things up but wonder if I could ever like any of the houseguests this year now.

Can anyone answer a question for me? I don't have the feeds and may have missed something, but I'm pretty sure I've seen Christmas in the HOH room at times. How does she get upstairs with her cast/scooter? I'm guessing there is a hidden elevator somewhere in the house. Surely they don't move furniture up the spiral staircase we see. Have any of you with the feeds seen or heard any reference to getting her up and down the stairs or using an elevator? Just curious about how that works. Thanks!

Elle

Elle,
No, there isn't an elevator in the house.
Christmas has the scooter, but she also has crutches. I saw (elsewhere) that she leaves the crutches near the stairs and uses them to get up and down.

lemonjello said...

Elle, Christmas sits down on the stairs and scoots herself up and down the stairs, when she goes up she has her walker waiting at the top, when she comes down she has her scooter and crutches waiting at the bottom, she mostly uses her scooter down stairs and outside.

Now I have a question, how does the stripend work? They have all been saying that they just wanted to make jury, but it sounds like they get $1000.00 per week in the jury house, so is it the longer they are in the jury house the more money they get? i.e. if Cody goes first to jury he will get the most jury money, then the second one to jury get $1000.00 less, and so on? The person who goes out in third place gets nothing? I am confused!

Sharon N said...

Lemonjello, thanks for clarifying. I don't get the feeds, so I assumed Christmas used her crutches up/down the stairs. I've seen her preferred transportation (scooter), but not having feeds, hadn't seen the walker.

Not sure, so maybe someone else can verify....
I think they receive the stipend throughout their time ON the show, but that ends if they are evicted before jury...which would be why they all want to reach that illustrious point. More money.

I can't imagine anyone giving up legit employment to only have a chance to reach jury....with no money attached to encourage agreement to enter the house for more than a month of basically receiving "mental abuse."

lemonjello said...

Sharon N, Thank you! I was thinking that same thing, but I know over the years I have heard it said that third place is the worst one because they get nothing, I especially remember that being said on Derricks season when Victoria realized she was third and wouldn't get any money! Also, I believe that Brittney got upset for the same reason, and there has been others! That is why I was wondering if they get payed throughout their time on the show. Like Elena " yuck" harps on and on about she has nothing if she would have went home before jury! They have never really said how that works, if they have, I missed it!

Agirlsmom: It's hard isn't it? Sending your child off? Hopefully she catches up. There are good sites on line where she can catch up really well.

I agree. This season is really bad. Aryn and GinaMarie made season 15 horrible. I know people have to play the game, but some of these attacks are too personal. I get it's part of the game, but really?

Kevin misses his family so much. I feel for him. Not only does he have to endure listening to the petty bickering, he has to endure the loneliness. The DR is the only place he can talk honestly. He can't do it with the other houseguests , so the DR is his best friend.

Lemonjello,The HG's get $1000.00 a week for every week they're in the house.
Example: Get booted in week 3 you end up with $3000.00. Making jury insures that they will get paid until thru end of the season and they get a little more screen time.

Uncartie-Thank You for clearing that up, that makes more sense to me!

Petals,Makers Mark? HaHaHa Perfect!

Sharon,There could be hidden financial benefits but only for a fan favorite vet coming back. The rest of the pack gets to be on TeeVee and get their lottery ticket to fame or employment in the entertainment industry. You know how the mind works...eg "It'll never happen to me"? Well this is the opposite. No matter what, every one becomes a celebrity even if it's just in their small circle of friends. "Wow! You were on BB? What was it like"?

Sharon N said...

uncartie,

Exactly! The Dream of Fame Game for the 'not getting famous any time soon.' Ha!
If these dummies would do some research, they'd learn fame won't be in their future.

Jeff did get an annual gig with BB, and has apparently moved on with some other show now, but I can't think of any other HGs who have achieved any kind of fame through BB, except with their own BB clan... and maybe a few BB Trailer Bunnies.

Paul has his own band and probably has some followers through that form of entertainment, but that doesn't really count.

I'm guilty too,Sharon. Every time I buy a Powerball ticket I'm convinced that I'm the one who's going to win. Never mind that it's 292 Million to one against me.

Paul has his foot firmly in the door and I believe a future. He's already appearing on CBS "Candy Crush" game. Love him or hate him he's taken over this season almost as if he's the host. I could see him hosting a reality show in the future.

Sharon N said...

Unc,
You're probably right, he's obviously intelligent and has the kind of 'enthusiasm' game shows like. BARF!!! I've often thought that his family appears to be quite wealthy, so maybe he gained some connections through their connections. If so, good for him. :)

I read something his morning that Paul speaks and writes Armenian, and said his father speaks 7 languages. Although that's fairly rare in the USA, I know it's encouraged in several European countries, so it's relatively common there.

Several years ago, I had a friend from Sweden who spoke 6 languages fluently. She said with languages that are similar (like Spanish/Italian), once you grasp one, the others can be easily learned. I would think the most difficult to learn are Asian and Arabic, especially to write!

Sharon -

Roger Federer is quintilingual, and MOST all tennis players are at least bi- or trilingual. Yes, they learn their language and English, and their travels expose them to so many other cultures.

Re Paul - I will quote one of his failed catch-phrases from last year: "Never Cared" LOL

My SIL is from Germany and she also speaks seven different languages.
