Big Brother 20: Live Feeds into Sunday Morning - August 5

Having a good time with her punishment

Here's the latest from inside that Big Brother House of Pride and Punishment:
  • Not much strategic happened in the late night/overnight hours.
  • Angela will still take Tyler down and the plan is to backdoor Bayleigh.
  • Last night ended up more about observing personal interactions.
  • Fessy is worried that the show might be making his friendship with JC as being "weird" or stupid. Both Haleigh and Rockstar told them they're sure the show is having a lot of fun with it. (Which they are, of course.)
  • Fessy quickly shut down Haleigh when she said something him worrying about seeming gay -- he said he's not worried about that at all. He just doesn't want to look stupid. (Well, he doesn't come across as the brightest bulb in the pack, but it's not due to his friendship with JC!)
  • Fessy also said that, when he's evicted, he should pick up JC and carry him out the door with him! Now, THAT would be a hoot! He should do it! Of course, the show would make him give JC back, but ...!
  • Rockstar is really changing and for the better. While she's still hanging some with Bayleigh, it's been Sam with her more.
  • Rockstar is really working on her punishment and embracing it although she apparently has little or no chef skills at all. She says she prefers to eat healthy and exercise and this gives her the impetus to do both.
  • Sam is helping her with the food prep tasks and exercising with her. She asked Rockstar if that bothered her at all and Rockstar said she loved her assistance.
  • Rockstar and Sam talked well into the night about the game and life in general. No whacko self-chosen outfits and weird persona involved at all. She's bearable, even to the point of likable, when she's not trying to be so weird.
  • Haleigh is completely bamboozled by Tyler. In a talk with Fessy, she went on about how Tyler was so out of his element in this game, too naive, too gullible, too innocent ... she feels sorry for him.
  • BWAHAHAHAHAHA!
  • Bayleigh continued to make brief appearances mimicking mingling with the others, but stayed either alone or with her crew most of the time. Sometimes with the bible, sometimes not.
  • Scottie noticeably didn't hang around alone with Haleigh or Bayleigh.
  • Haleigh, Rockstar and Fessy think that Sam is ex-military, perhaps a correction officer or a game warden. Rockstar had no clue what a game warden is. Haleigh told her but she definitely had parts of the job way off base.
  • Sam thinks she is going to be a great jury member -- she loves each one of them and wants to give each one special attention when they need it.
  • That's really nice.
  • But it's not Big Brother.
  • Kaycee's peanut costume is a lot easier than many in the past.
  • Brett's 24-hour InstaGranny hasn't come into play yet.
  • Today will probably be on the boring side -- the PoV meeting isn't until tomorrow, the yard will be open and no real kerfuffles on the horizon.
  • Tonight on the show, we'll see the Hacker winner.
  • Most of them think it's Bayleigh.
  • The internet thinks it's Haleigh.
  • I think it could very well be Haleigh, but if so I'm surprised she hasn't said a word to anyone.

Mr. Gullible

Sir Bamboozle chows down

We're so good!

Take a picture, America! Um. Okay.

Thanks Jackie.
I think you're right - RS is much more tolerable when she isn't playing that character. Maybe as "Angie", she'd be more likable. Personally, I couldn't be friends with someone who is Pagan, but that's just me.
And if she's so healthy IRL, how did she not know how to chop-up vegetables? Just askin...

LOL at Hayleigh thinking Tyler is a little lamb, thrown in over his head in the BB game.
Really, girl? HAHAHAAA

As always, I'm left with Love for Sam & Tyler!
FEAR THE BUN!

I was amazed at how clueless Rockstar (a mother!) is! She didn't know how to figure out how to use a blender. She didn't know how to chop veggies. She was incapable of reading and following a recipe on her own. She didn't know what a lap was (one-way or up-and-back). She didn't know what a game warden is. I bemoan our educational system....

If Haleigh is the hacker and if she really thinks Tyler is so naive, gullible and innocent, I don't understand why she would have put him on the block. It seems like she had a great opportunity to secretly target someone who she views as a threat.

Sally - good point, I wondered that too. I think she is snowing Fez. I think she knows that Ty is a good player and dangerous, but how could she explain that to Fez, who is ACTUALLY the naive one, dropped in to a game he doesn't understand.

Except on BBAD, Haleigh was saying the exact same thing to Bayleigh... Tyler is naive and gullible.

Ok, so this is totally off the wall (and wrong), but...
Not likely, but what if the Spoiler is wrong about Haleigh, and the HGs are wrong thinking it's Bayleigh? Wouldn't it be funny if JC or Brett was the Hacker? Both have shown they are smarter and more conniving than any of the HGs gives credit, so either one could easily figure out this would be a good opportunity to evict Tyler.

I love that Tyler is like a cat... so far, always landing on his feet.
Hope he can keep it going!!

Another far fetched idea.....what if Haleigh was just trying to save Scottie and wanted Rockstar to go home. So she put up the most liked player (Tyler) to ensure RS goes home? Not a likely scenario, but possible......

good one, Bizaro!

Sharon N said...

Bazarro22,
Actually, some of that theory isn't too far-fetched.
As you say, not likely, but I can easily see Haleigh wanting Rockstar gone. She is tired of RS's theatrics, and thanks to L6's well-planted rumors, that side has often thought she has been the flip-vote.

I think you're on to something, Bizaro!

About RS and cutting the tomatoes... I'm glad all that BB gives them is a plastic knife now. If she would have been using my tomato knife, I would have feared for her fingers.

Rockstar could just be using frozen or pre-cut vegetables.

Hayleigh may think Tyler is naïve and gullible since he plays that part well. But he wins comps, and has never been part of her alliance,so putting him up isn't so far fetched. Scottie isn't a threat to her.JC and Brett haven't won anything and she likes Brett so putting up Tyler makes perfect sense. What didn't make sense is choosing KC for veto. She should have chosen Fessy but maybe was afraid people would think she's the hacker.

The question now is what new insane twist will Grodner come up with to try and help the Hive knuckleheads make a game of it.

I think Tyler won the Hacker comp, put himself in the block to stir the pot, knowing he'd gain sympathy and be taken off the block. Also, I'm really bothered by Fessy picking up JC. Little people do not like being picked up and treated like dolls/pets. In an interview with Peter Dinkledge he spoke about this and how people like to pick up little people (like Fessy is doing to JC) and how they often feel powerless to stop it but more importantly how dehumanizing it is. No one would try to pick up a regularly sized person and carry them, so don't do this to a little person either. Have some respect. Even if JC appears to like it, this is often a front so they can be liked. They fear. Ring different so much that they put up with things they shouldn't. Also, it can just be plain scary to be smaller in a big world. I don't like how the show is portraying little people liking this.

We are starting to have too much to keep track of. IMO anyway. Who, one way or another, would care to take Scottie off the block, except Scottie? See you all tonight, but late, I am West Coast. Have fun at the blog party and I will be reading you all 3 hours later. Bummer.

Sharon N said...

Dr Celine, I don't think Tyler would ever willingly put himself on the block. Much too risky.

Re Fessy & JC. They seem to have a good relationship, but a big part of that is probably "game" on JC's part. If being picked up (like a toy) has happened to him a lot outside the BB house, he could be playing the part of 'having fun'... but, in reality, only tolerating it for the game.

Unc, people 'who eat healthy, and those of us who don't always' know how to cut a tomato up safely. You don't cut them in half and then leave them round side down/flat level side up to continue slicing. It was hilarious. just my two cents

Tyler would never do that, Dr Celine. :)))

Can't wait for the show tonight to put the rumors to rest and watch the fallout. This week has been fabulous BB.

Jackie, was going to dele my comment but you read my mind.

So Bay says the Beatles stole their songs from black people? 'dems fightin words.

~~Silk said...

...actually, that was Elvis.

Petals said...

It was both. Beatles covered songs that black artists made famous, but they never claimed they'd written them (Long Tall Sally, Stand By Me, et al). Elvis honored blacks and their music and even recorded with a black gospel choir.
But everyone knows this.
I'm just surprised that Bay (via her parents) believes the Beatles were thieving their songs from black people. As a monster Beatle fan, that angers me. But it shows her ignorance.

uncartie said...

Monty,Ha Ha Ha...I didn't know it was a tomato. Yeah,I never heard of anyone slicing it that way.

Michael J Fox is _NOT_ dead. The story is a hoax

Jackie S. said...

Let's not get into a race thing about music. Thank you.

As for the Fessy/JC thing it's more about their relationship in the house.

Petals said...

Yes, thank goodness the MJF story was a hoax.
I hate that Alan Alda has it now. He's my touchstone.

Wouldn't it be funny if Tyler had won the Hacker? think about it, would easily be such a 4th level move to nom himself, knowing at worst it would be 4 on 2 in the veto, with one of the two being the hapless Rockstar. That would then set him up in the most powerful position in the house, and no one would be the wiser. Risky, but would easily be the best move ever in BB history!
